What a special place! What a find! I never thought I would have found a place like this in Montreal-North! Thank you Aurelio for bringing me here! Attention to detail, food and ingredients are well thought out and put together. That real old school, Italian fair with an emphasis on the ingredients. Worth a visit, try it out, you would be surprised.

(Translated) My brother-in-law tells me that the pasta is wonderful, especially since it is fresh-made on demand (on site). As for me, I tasted the fish of the day (cod), the dish was delicious with a cod that almost melted in the mouth; very far from an overcooked fish which becomes almost grainy on the palate. The vegetables were impeccable and tasty while the presentation was still sober. Private import wine is available on site so leave your bottles at home. The only element that disappointed me, however, was the limited parking available during my visit (beware of the many one-way traffic); you should know however that the Montreal teams were busy then clearing the snow from the streets ... Regarding the place as such, the facade of the restaurant, the dining room, as the neighborhood itself is nothing spectacular. The fact remains, still according to the brother-in-law, that there are regular customers there and we can understand why. Enjoy your meal ! (Original) Mon beau frère me dit que les pâtes sont merveilleuses, surtout qu'elles sont fraîches-faites à la demande (sur place). Quant à moi, j'ai dégusté le poisson du jour (morue), le plat était succulent avec une morue qui fondait presque dans la bouche; très loin d'un poisson trop cuit qui devient presque granuleux au palais. Les légumes étaient impeccables et savoureux alors que la présentation demeurait tout de même sobre. Du vin d'importation privée est offert sur place alors laissez vos bouteilles à la maison. Le seul élément qui m'ait déçu était par contre le stationnement peu disponible lors de mon passage (attention aux nombreux sens uniques); il faut savoir cependant que les équipes Montréalaises s'affairaient alors à déblayer la neige des rues... Concernant l'endroit en tant que tel, la façade du restaurant, la salle à manger, comme le quartier lui-même n'ont rien de spectaculaire. Le fait demeure, toujours selon le beau frère, qu'il s'y trouve des clients réguliers et on peut comprendre pourquoi. Bon appétit !

What a wonderful discovery! Came upon it by chance. Truly authentic and thoroughly enjoyable. Both our excellent waiter and the talented chef were helpful and accommodating. Enjoyed our mains of Atlantic cod and octopus so much, we forgot to take pictures! We highly recommend this local eatery.

From the time we're greeted hello until the time we finished and said goodbye we were treated like family. Great hostess Claudia who made sure we had everything we needed and then some. We were greeted by the owner Joe who gave us a tour of tonight's table d'hote. I chose the table d'hote featuring veal with peppers/ mushrooms and a demi glaze sauce and a large helping of pasta with oil and garlic. The veal melted in my mouth, the mushrooms and peppers cooked to perfection. The pasta i asked for was a plain oil/ garlic linguini. Plain was not the correct verbiage....the pasta was far from it. Perfectly cooked and seasoned with oil and sautéed garlic. Could not keep my fork away from it too long. Prior to the main course I had the house soup - strechitella(work spelling sorry). Dessert was a wonderful chocolate ricotto cake with 2 really hard to beat coffees. There is alot more to talk about but it is a MUST to try. P.s. the house red was delicious....great place to bring anyone and everyone. Congrats to Joe, Claudio and the staff for making us a meal to remember literally blocks from us....which could spell trouble for us trying to keep our same clothes sizes. Try it, you will love it....
