Had dinner tonight at The Keg and it was fantastic! My first time at a chain restaurant streak house and I was blown away. Our server Erika was phenomenal, very personable, fun, quick, and friendly. Both my partner and I grabbed a glass of wine, and a steak each (Fillet and New York) and they were cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were large, and everything about our meal was great!

Was there last night on a date with my boyfriend. We had poor service by a waiter named Franco who would not seem to leave us alone; always walking by the table putting his fingers on the table, etc. He did not ask if we were done with anything and took our plates away. We felt rushed and the whole experience was strange and un- professional. We also felt like we were catering to him by entertaining his over- service that was not needed. The food was over-priced and small portions. The music was horrible and majority of staff were young women in their 20s or under wearing tight and short dresses which appeared to be the dresscode (very demeaning to women). Would never go back. When our waiter saw we did not tip much (we shouldnt have tipped anything) he changed his behaviour and slammed our check on the table and walked away without saying anything.

Incredible dining location. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, and this was the perfect place to do so. Staff were excellent, atmosphere great and food exceptional.

My husband and I had a most excellent dining experience at the Moncton restaurant this fall. We were invited to sit in a smaller somewhat enclosed section that had a quiet and intimate feel. The service and attention our server offered was second-to-none! He is also a sommelier and was keen to share his knowledge about various wines offered and their appropriate pairing with our meal choices. He gave us details about how our meals were prepared. And they were done to perfection! From the blue cheese dressing on the salad to the filet mignon and perfectly flavoured side orders...tops. One of our best dining experiences ever! Thank you, Moncton! We will definitely dine here again when in the city. Well worth every cent!

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent atmosphere. Very pricey, but it'll be a once a year go to place. I had the steak, baked potato, Caesar salad and roll. I like my steak very well done but with flavour. The chef was amazing he made my steak perfect! I moaned with every bite, it was so good. The atmosphere was elegant, low lighting, nice ambiance music. Perfect for date night.

Always great food & service, never had any issues. Every time we come to the Keg I always order a steak well done & Chicago and it is always cooked exactly like I requested. I suggest reserving a table before going as some times it can get really busy.

My Sisters & I went out to The Keg, which was my first time. I must say I felt very special. The waiter was very professional and informative. Made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was Very Cool. I loved how the entire establishment is dimly lit, makes it all the more relaxed. All in all, Twas Great!

Way over-rated. Steak was fine--but it's hard not to cook a good steak decently. Baked potato was cool--how do you do that? Vegetables were overcooked and laden with oil. Brussel sprouts were overcome by garlic. I don't know why people enjoy The Keg so much: It is always like this, and I go only because I've been brought. Moncton has many places that charge less and deliver more.

Great steak but as expected at the price point. I ordered from the holiday special menu which was pricey but they cooked it perfectly and seasoned it well. The vegetable gnocchi side was good but not worth the extra $4 - will stick with veggies or potatoes next time. Good portions on the appetizers. Service was better than average even though it seemed pretty busy.

Prices have gone up again and the portions seems to be getting smaller. One of us had a Keg burger - $19 for a burger and what looked like a small portion of McDonalds fries on the side. The fillet was not as good as it used to be and neither was the new york steak. Are they buying cheaper cuts now? Overall, disappointing.

When I want a good steak, in often prefer making it myself over steak at a restaurant. However, the Keg has consistently been able to deliver on a great tasting steak cooked the way I like it. The restaurant itself is nice. You can get some very private tables as well. You don't feel as if you are sitting with the folks at the next table.

I've always been a huge fan of The Keg, particularly their Peppercorn New York. My last visit was very uneventful, with a steak that came Medium Well rather than Medium Rare, accompanied by very chewy tendon-like bits that made up ~20% of the steak. Of the 10 or so times I have ordered this steak, this is the only one that has disappointed.

Great restaurant. Dinner menu is to die for. Striploin is my favorite. Great ambiance. Wine selection is above average. Our servers were top on their game. Disadvantage parking is hard to find. Well worth the extra effort to get in.

The Keg is all right. Food is not my favorite, they were out of prime rib the night I went there, and it's pretty much the only dish I really appreciate. Service was great, nothing to say against the staff. Just not my favorite food.

We are monthly customer's and this month I brought my fiance there for her 28th birthday. When the waiter didn't wish her a happy birthday or offer her a birthday cake I asked for the check (even though I was specific when making the reservation) so as we were leaving we told the front desk and they gave us cake to go. Turns out it was cheesecake and not the Billie miner pie it was every year. We are feeling disappointed !

We always love visiting The Keg and we frequently do for special occasions. The only reason I give it a 4 is because of their washrooms. They're not easy to find and there's always that feeling as though you're walking into staff territory and it's a high-traffic area with servers coming in and out of the hallway to get to the washroom. Other than that, the staff is always friendly, the food is always amazing, and it's the perfect setting for a little night out :)

My family took me there for my birthday/our 40th wedding anniversary. Because it was new year's eve, we had a reservation. We were seated right away. Our server while very pleasant and knowledgeable, was very rushed. Most of our meals had at least one thing wrong. My daughter and I both had the ribs and chicken with twice baked potato. Both plates came out with fries. My husband ordered ribs and fries was served ribs and chicken with twice baked. My son ordered a med rare steak that came well. When made aware our server ( i don't remember his name) made his apologies and made the changes to make it right. Except my son's steak , but my son assured our server it was ok.. In honor of our occasion and to make amends for my son's steak... or mistake.. we received 3 Billie miner desserts. Our food was very tasty. The errors were corrected and our server was very personable. Will definitely be back.

Have loved and frequented the Keg for well over 30 years. We stopped in the Moncton location recently and I’d say it was our best experience yet. The crab cakes were not very good but everything else was perfect. Well worth the money.

To celebrate my friend's birthday. We got a free treat--a piece of pie which is very delicious. It tasted like chocolate mousse with baked almond slices. I love their double baked potato and sirloin,median rare. it cooked perfection! My friend had a lobster with sirloin, median well, It seemed cooked too well. But overall great meal. It was 7:30 pm dinner, the restaurant fall of customers, very noisy, but the service and food remain standard!!!

Basically... everything I have to say can be summed up with, It's just not worth it. They do what you expect from a big chain steak house. Everything is fine. A touch too dark, but really everything is fine. Service, food, drinks, setting... all fine. But I can get as good service, as good food, as good drinks in an equally fine setting, and walk out paying Way Less than what a supper at The Keg will cost. So it's fine. Just not worth it, when you can get just as fine food down the block for less.

Well....been there a few times and not too bad but don't rely on them to help you with a lost or stolen gift card. (200$) I recently reached out to them to have my gift card cancelled.....had the numbers they said they reqired but procrastinated and then was too late. Gift card was a birthday gift.......soooo disappointment- won't be back!!!! (:☹????

Always a good dinner here. Yes, the keg can get pricey, and yes we were all aware of that going in. We don't go often, but for special occasions we will. Food is always perfect (the prime rib sliders are delicious!) And staff is always super accommodating and pleasant. No complaints about this place at all. Just beware that during peak times or holidays, there will be a long wait without reservations. We always book reservations and even then we've had to wait 10-20 minutes extra with the walk-in times being 1.5-2 hours wait. No stars docked because sometimes people just take long to eat.

It was poor service from the minute we arrived. Our salads were brought before our appetizers and I am sure the waitress forgot to order them. Then because of the wait she took my salad away and brought me a fresh one but we still waited. They had run out of rare roast beef and 2 hours later no Billy Miner pie when we ordered dessert.

Attached to the Residence Inn. Unexpectedly good restaurant adjacent to a hotel. The service was excellent as was the food. I had the Prime Rib and my husband the crab cakes. The portions were large and sufficient for left overs. My husband enjoyed the beer variety and I liked the wine selection.

This restaurant was quite good I must say. The food was very nice and tasted amazing. However, we had to send a steak back even after requesting it to be medium. Since it is the Keg we are talking about I expected them to have no issue with that. The halibut tastes amazing here I had no issues with it whatsoever. The restaurant was loud though and extremely busy. The music inside the restaurant was also a little on the loud side. The service was excellent and the people the seated us were nice as well. One more thing I’d like to add was the bathrooms were very clean. I would recommend eating here for sure.

We go here whenever we are in town. It's a nice spot and very busy. Food selection is good for a stake house but if you don't know the chain, be ready for the price. Regular meal for 2 can hit $130 depending what you order as your main dish. Worth it though, great food.

Superb service, great food, and intimate atmosphere. We went for early supper with the kids, and wait staff were thoroughly responsive to our needs, including food allergies. Food was delicious, well-presented, and reasonably priced. Some may find the lighting too cave-like and music too loud.

First time with this franchise. They nailed the steak. I generally don't order restaurant steaks because I do it better myself... I'll admit that it was great! Service was top notch. Sides were all well done. Negative - for a place named the Keg, the beer experience is a 1 out of 10. I expected better selection and quality. Standard industry kids menu... must work, but can't someone out there offer at least one or two kids options that have a healthy element? And isn't a bowl of pasta and chicken strip meal?

The Keg is great everywhere and this Moncton location is no different. The service and food was amazing and you get value for money. My wife got the classic steak dinner with potato mash and I got the chicken and ribs with extra veggies instead of fries. Shoutout to Tyson for great service!

We came in for our anniversary and the staff immediately welcomed us, congratulated us and thanked us for choosing the Keg for our anniversay. The food was served hot and was absolutely delicious! As for our anniversary, the waiter serving us gave us a slice of the Billy Miner pie on the house. We felt very taken care of and our special day felt recognized.

Good place for a steak. Staff is always good and happy to serve. Taking great care and attention to customers. Food is expensive, but it's a steakhouse so that is to be expected. Lobster is great, when it's in season for NB it's even better. Steaks are always great, cooked to perfection 100% of the time. I never had a bad piece of meat in that place. If you are downtown and looking for a good steak, definitely visit this place.

Top level place! Everything here just perfect! Interior is dark and cozy, bathrooms are clean and luxury looking, waiters are super friendly and knowledgeable , High chairs for babies and food of course is amazing delicious! Location also close to downtown and easy enough to get in/out. Prepare to leave a bunch of money, but! You won't regret. Highly recommended!

I was visiting my son from montreal Meeting his future in laws. Thought we would enjoy a lovely meal As we always have at keg. We ordered blackened chicken 2 of us Was so spicy couldnt even eat. The waitress could have informed us. When we asked why she didnt mention it was very spicy she said oh i didnt even know? Ok waitress you work there. It was a very expensive reunion ...expected so much more. So very expensive...and waiting so long to enjoy a meal out with the covid situation. Very disappointing!

Myself and my husband dine here about 4-5 times a year, it’s usually a nice evening for us but the last 2 times we have been here, we have had the same server. The server was condescending, rude and obnoxious. When we questioned something being added to our bill, they threw their hands up in the air and made a complete show out of us. Needless to say, we’re done with the Keg and the snotty service. It I wanted to be treated like garbage, at least give me the opportunity to act like it.

I had an awesome steak and 1 drink. My bill was over $70.00. Wayyyy too expensive...I had an awesome steak and and 2 drinks at another great restaurant a week later and my bill was under $45.00. With so many other restaurants to choose from in Moncton...I can't imagine ever going back to the Keg.

Wish I could say I enjoyed it but couldn't experience it. First of all you have to pay for parking with no validation from the restaurant. Consider that on top of your bill, tax and tip. Then when we went in, it was so packed mid week, that the wait was at least 30-45 mins. Went to Mavericks instead and ate there.

This is our favourite restaurant. The food is always delicious. Lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful and our waiter was attentive and gracious. He has worked there for 9 years, so that tells me they are good to their staff. It’s always an eating experience!

Decided to give every place that decides to put burnt food on my table a one star rating, no matter the quality of the rest of the food or service. If the kitchen or the waiter doesn't care about this, then a one star review it is. At The Keg I always order a medium rib steak (at $39 in 2017/2018 and is now $46 in 2020). This time one side of the steak had a large burnt part which tasted like cigarettes and was beyond well done. The other side was medium rare. The side of vegetables was kind of funny this time. A tomato filled with cheese... really? I noticed that the food quality at every Keg location I've been in Canada is going down while their prices keep going up.

Haven't been to a keg restaurant in over a decade but this was pretty much the same as then. Really good steak, cooked just as I wanted it and decent sides with it. Great service here and super convenient if you're staying at the Residence Inn and don't want to venture out into the cold. Could do with a better beer selection but the Picaroons on tap is nice.

Very disappointing experience! I brought my mother to meet my finance's family for a nice supper. My finance and my mother ordered the "blackened chicken". I ordered the steak. The steak was very well prepared and delicious. However, the chicken was served with an over-abundance of spice (whether it was cajun spice or what have you). Everyone at the table tried a bite and the flavor was too over-whelming and forced my finance and mother to peel the skin off to even eat the chicken. In essence, the chicken's spice ruined the meal for the both of them especially for 34$ for this plate. The bill was over 250$ , the two chicken dishes were close to $70 and its unacceptable for a restaurant not to refund both dishes especially when the food was not edible. The menu also does not reflect that the "blackened chicken" is spicy, and the waitress failed to outline the same. My mother was visiting from Quebec and has had very favorable experiences from other chains elsewhere. This was not what we were expecting, and not a good experience overall. Lastly, it took around 20 minutes to order my second beverage. This also is not acceptable in a restaurant of this quality.

Nice ambiance and delivers the usual quality steak and trimmings you expect from The Keg. The only comment I would give is that the steak dinners should be given a choice of sauces without upselling. (make it included). Otherwise all good. Even managed to cook the veggies just right (cooked with a slight crunch).

Even if you don't enjoy steak, there is stuff on the menu that will fit your needs. Very much recommend this place and look forward to my eventual next visit

I had a fantastic dinner experience at the Keg - November 2019. From being very well received by Haley at the front desk, who took care of my seating requests and wet coat, to efficient and friendly table bussing by Elizaveta, and great service by my waitress Karmin. The Atmosphere was just as one would expect from an established restaurant, with lovely booths and delightful art adorning the walls. Food was top notch, with the house specialty Ribeye done to perfection. Highly recommend experience.

Staff are super friendly however they seem to like the dark as the restaurant itself is very dark. They keep the shutters closed for some reason????‍♀️ Crab cakes had more filling than crab and the baked potatoes are overcooked and barely warm (this is apparently an issue at all Keg locations).

Location, is good in the heart of the down town. Parking is issue. I have to pay for parking. Decoration and layout, it is very cozy and elegant. Spacious. The place can fit big groups and multi groups and occasions at the same time There are lots of ppl can service you and they are well trained to welcome clients. They know how to take the order and explain the dishes. Now my issues was as follow, We were around 30 ppl, the seated and split us in several tables ( although we had reservation) some of our group were seated with strangers (means not part of the group). There were couple of order mistakes and they forgot couple of orders. The timing to get the orders was way longer than the expectations or even the preparation time. As I remember it took more than an hour to get the food. When I came to payment (that was the funniest part) they had to take more than 15 minutes to figure out how to process the bills. Food was good and tasty we cannot deny that. But the process was not acceptable. Prices I can say with the quantity of food was +$$ Concussion: probably our experience was not the best because we were large group. But still I recommend the restaurant and you may find different experience.

Every year we go to the wine show in Moncton, and every year we try to get to the Keg. The food and atmosphere is incredible and consistent with other "Keg's" around. They must treat their staff right as well as we see the same servers year after year. Yes, its a steak house so it's a bit more pricey - but well worth it as far as I'm concerned!

The worst. We sat down for 20 minutes without a single server even speaking to or acknowledging us. The bartender came over and ended up serving us because she felt bad since she noticed not one server was doing their job. Extremely disappointed in our experience. You’d think w the menu prices they would have the money to hire competent staff. Especially when not even operating at full capacity.

Fabulous food and service. But this is the 3rd or 4th time we've been and found the music to be too loud and unsuitable for an upscale restaurant. The raunchy 70s rock makes me feel like I should be drinking cheap beer and eating a burger, not paying $50 for a meal.

I honestly do not know how this place stays in business. We keep getting giftcertificates so we end up going. This past weekend, we were four people. Two had their 24 hour cooked prime rib and two had tenderloin. We had a hard time getting the steak knife through the prime rib. The other two had steak to which they discribed them as "terrible" due to being tough. All were cooked how we ordered it (medium rare and medium). Not what you have to do to tenderloin to make it tough. Veggies were quite nice and so were the mushrooms. Service was excellent from our waitress to the person who brought out the food. But for a $390 bill for four people, I am at a loss to see how people come back. This is the third time we get giftcertificates and the third time we end up having to use them. Same experience all the time. Great service, terrible meat Ironic given what they specialize in.

The general manager of the restaurant called me after posting this review. She apologized for the problem but did not offer a discount nor a gift card to compensate. This place has gone downhill. Local pubs can cook better steaks at a fraction of the cost.

Best steak I've ever had!! And I highly recommend the oven baked crab stuffed mushrooms...yum!!! Our server was very informative, polite and professional. The entire experience was well worth the bill.

It was my daughter's birthday dinner and the food was amazing as usual but the service was not equal. We had two tables but others ordered and got their food before the rest of our table. There was a computer crash so understandably we waited for the bills to be organized. Despite our patience our second table who had brought a keg gc were forced to pay cash and were advised to go across the street in the pouring rain to get cash. My son waited 30mins for his soda & my daughter did not even get a dessert they usually offer guests who celebrate their birthdays there. I've had better service here so I know they can do better.

The Keg never disappoints, the person who helped us was very helpful, cheerful and kind. I asked for some nutritional info on 2 appetizers (I'm on keto and wanted some carb information) - she said they have that out back, so she got that and made a recommendation. My wife and I had a great time.

A very nice atmosphere for date night. I love their elongated oval boots. Perfect place to sit next to your partner while you celebrate a special event or even just a night out. The service is impeccable and food is wonderful. My only feedback is that the music is often too loud.

Really nice staff, steak wasn't consistent this time. This was not our first time there. usually it's a 5 star but for some reason this time my steak was charcoal and over cook. Still was tasting great. strongly recommended this place for a good steak.

We sat outside. The inside dining area is overcrowded, too many tables to navigate through. I think we were forgotten at times, drink service was sporadic, and glasses weren't cleared. When the main course finally arrived, my plate was super hot to the touch and on another's plate, the side dish was cold. Disappointed in the Keg, the food is still pretty good, but the overall service was poorly executed.

Great meal! We were six people. Lots of well indicated gluten free options. I have eaten here before. Our server was Heather. She has a great personality, speaks very well in French and English which we appreciate. Thanks for the great service and we'll be back!

Wonderful experience, our waitress only spoke English but I noticed the majority were bilingual which I highly appreciate and she was also quite friendly, also well appreciated. The food was fantastic, definitely on the pricey side but well worth it on special occasions. I would recommend trying to go on a day where weather isn't too warm as the AC unit is not very good and it is quite warm inside (we asked, AC was set at maximum power) Our meals were identical, we both had 8oz top sirloin steaks which came with garlic mashed potatoes and we added some onions and mushrooms on a side plate.

My girlfriend had a steak that was not cooked as she wanted originally, so she ate the rest of the lobster and everything else. She approached the waiter about the steak and they replaced the entire meal and offered us free desert for our troubles. They go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. 5/5 food was awesome too!

A highly recommend place to eat. The Ceasar Keg size, was exquisite. ask for it medium spiced. The calamari was tender, full of flavour, and lightly battered. The piece de resistance was the filet mignon. Cooked perfectly rare, melted like butter in your mouth, wrapped in bacon, lightly drizzled with bernaise sauce, with a big side of twice baked potato.

My wife and I went last night to celebrate and the keg went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful, romantic evening. Our waitress Kathleen was personable, knowledgeable and really took an interest in ensuring everything was perfect. The food was great, drink better cocktail menu very well curated and they even surprised us with a free desert to celebrate. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice romantic night with their partner.

Shame on you The Keg Moncton for seating people touching elbows at a communal table near the bar in the middle of a pandemic ! We refused to sit there and when we complained to the manager saying that wasn’t safe she said it was ok as all restrictions had been lifted! No thank you Keg!

Waited quite awhile to get seated. No other customers at the desk. One of the employees was explaining some kind of method to switch tables for customers. That took a few minutes. After being seated, order was taken by Melanie. Then 2 new waitresses showed up. Training I assume. Original waitress gone. Awkward. I have been to many Kegs. This is the strangest experience I ever had. Food was good.

This is bar none the best restaurant in Moncton! We were 7 for a birthday and absolutely everything from the drinks, right through to the 7 different meals served were just beyond words. You know it's good when no no is talking through the meal! We'll worth the money, but count on about 80 to 100 a head!

By far the best service I’ve ever had from the moment we entered from hostess right through to the staff we encountered. Arrived here around 8 pm on a Friday after travelling all day with our 2 year old with no reservation. The hostess who greeted us let us know they only had seating in the bar so we decided that would be fine, once seated we realized it was a high top table and not going to work for our daughter and the server was very concerned and attentive of our daughter. We decided that we would have to go somewhere else and let her know, she apologized and said she understood, within a couple minutes she had come back over to let us know they were just cleaning a table in the dining room and we would be able to move. Let me tell you we were so grateful to not have to take our daughter somewhere else as we were tired and wanted a good meal and to head to our hotel for bed. Once in the dining room our server Sam(I believe was her name) was fabulous she went above and beyond, helped keep our daughter entertained, and really made our experience the best possible! The food as expected was great but I can not say enough about the service here!!! Thank you :)

We had dinner at the Keg Sunday July 12 the atmosphere is very nice. The thing is, I ordered Chicken Marsala and when the waitress brought my meal the chicken Marsala had been changed to Oven Roasted Chicken I did not say anything because I never return a meal at any restaurant I just ate some, had the veggies and twice baked potatoes which was good. My daughter ordered a Filet Mignon and if that was a Filet Mignon sure did not look like one.Very disappointed.

We were at the Keg tonight for dinner celebrating our wedding anniversary. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly...even my rare steak! Our server was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely return to this location.

Several times in the last years, my steak was worse than I could have made myself. I'm no chef, but if a steakhouse can't evenly cook a steak or even cook it to the proper temperature, then what are they good at? Complaint to management about the quality and they basically brushed it off. I gave a third star due to them giving a glass of champagne on the house when they found out it was our anniversary. That was the only good thing about that night though.

Went here for our anniversary. Staff was nice and the place was clean. I had the steak and king crab. I really enjoyed it. My wife had the steak and lobster tail, not so good. Her lobster tail was not cooked, still cool and raw in the middle. I thought she was overreacting but I took a large piece and put it in my mouth as a show. Yep, cool and squishy. That's what I get for trying to show her up. Will not order that again. Next time, back to the baseball steak.

It was our first time back in since everything changed and I must say that they have done a good job at spacing out the tables, it's actually better now(more privacy). The rib steak was unbelievably tasty and grilled to perfection. Our waitress was very sweet and payed attention to every detail.
