Very busy spot. Great little brew pub. Large variety of potential "beer and pizza combos". They had other stuff too. We tried a couple pizzas. They do great wood fired pizza in this place. If there's a line-up, it's worth the wait. Once you're in, staff are efficient and attentive. Bon appétit.

Just came for a flight, awesome selection! Ordered the motz sticks and mess'd up poutine to go. No house gravy on the poutine!! very disappointing. no napkins or cutlery to eat it. Not like I need a fork now, as its finger food without the gravy.

Just a short walk from our hotel, we arrived at their busiest time. There was a line out the door, no waiting list (and, hence, no idea of how long the wait was). The line moved pretty slowly, but we finally got a table. The beers were excellent and the food was too. Service was a little slow. Our waitress, while friendly, seemed overwhelmed by her tables.

Amazing customer service as they make you feel more like a friend then a customer. Always checking up on you and the food is amazing. I had the biggest burger they had on the menu. It was sooo good and was recommended as I explained my protein needs as I'm a bodybuilder. The salad was great as well and very fresh. Will definitely be back and try the steak next time around. Has lots of potential to be a great place. However the hamburger was a total disappointment. Ambience suggested it would be a good call. Nope. Frozen patties waved at some heat with a slice of cheap processed cheese on a substandard bun. At least the lettuce was fresh and crispy. The pizza could have been outstanding with the brick oven but they added the basil before baking... oh well. Perhaps a new sous or executive chef would help. PS. Later in our trip we ate at a little place in the small NS town of Berwick. The diner is called Johnny's. They make an excellent burger. Put the Pump House burger to shame!

Parents live In Dieppe and always say we should go for a drink. My dad's golf partner is the brew master there so we decided to stop in for lunch. Service was excellent and waitress was super friendly. Food was good for the price but the beer was top notch! I don't personally like raddlers but theirs is to write home about. Too bad I can't get their brews in Ontario!

We discovered this place while spending two nights in Moncton! The menu is quite extensive, pub grub and a few seafood options. We ordered the Brie and a thin crust pizza and everything was delicious. The prices are very reasonable. We liked it so much we were there 3 times in 2 days! Our waitress recommended checking out the fill station as well and we were glad we did! We loved the crafty radler and have found it back in Ontario luckily!

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, really cool booths, and the food was amazing. Also was nice that they had so many vegetarian options. The beers were also tasty and the sampler trays were a great way for us to try some local beers while in town. New favourite place to eat in new Brunswick and will definitely be back.

Ordered chicken fingers through skip the dishes. Received fish and chips even though the box was labeled “Chicken Fingers.” When I called the person was very rude responding “Don’t call us, call skip the dishes.” A simple apology would have been nice despite Skip giving us a credit. In addition, we ordered a poutine which came with no gravy. I frequented the Pumphouse in the past but will not be returning due to the poor experience.

No air conditioning! We went on a Saturday night during a heat wave. Extremely busy. 20 minute wait. Once seated we had efficient quick service. I would try it again, but not during a heatwave! Perhaps with a reservation as well.

Waited 20 minutes at the door for no reason when there were multiple tables free on a Wednesday night (not even a hello from what seemed to be the hostest/manager). The food was good but obviously not worth the unnecessary wait when we could have at least sat at the unoccupied bar while waiting for unoccupied tables. Go to Tide and Boar.

We told our very good friend she was going to be a godmother here and on very last minute notice the waiter had staff write godmother on the dessert plate for us! They seemed so happy for us and even though it was busy went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was quite tasty and they had good options for non alcoholic beverages. Very pleased.

Not exactly the kind of "Microbrewery" I was expecting. Beers is excellent, but only in the choice of the traditional kind. No fency IPA or white beer.

The Pumphouse is like a local landmark in Moncton. One of the first microbreweries to ever open in the city, they've stood the test of time and have remained as popular as ever. You'll find good pub food and great beers... Make sure to try their signature blueberry beer!

That pulled pork burger was the best I've had outside of Ribfest. They didn't overload you with fries that were delicious. Paired that with their blueberry ale and it was a great meal for a warm spring day. Staff were friendly. Greeted us with a smile and asked how our day was.

They missed my order so I had to sit there with nothing and stare at the wall to avoid watching my partner eat his chicken wings. I don't eat wings, because they're foul. (fowl) When my nachos eventually came they were seriously lacking cheese but they were very good nonetheless.

Spouse had the burger. It was an utter disappointment... Mediocre patty that reminded me from some frozen patty I had bought from Costco, Kraft singles cheese and some bread from the supermarket. Myself, I had the meat lovers pizza. It was incredibly salty. Overall, the food was terrible but the beer at least was good.

Love this place. Great beer and nice comfortable atmosphere. Very popular with both locals and visitors. For the beer, best known for their Radler or Blueberry craft beer. Their pizzas are amazing, baked in a stone oven.

I only got to experience the late night menu since I came here after 10pm, so I didn't get to experience the burgers (which is really what I came for). The service was great, however the pizzas weren't the best. I tried the BBQ chicken one and it honestly looks better than it tastes, I tried the Garlic sticks, it was good, but not amazing, and the Greek chicken pizza was meh.

We only stopped here for a quick flight before going to dinner. The weather was nice so we sat outside. Service was great, flight was good (very inexpensive) but you had to take the pre-set beers. We also had the muscles which were ok but a little on the small side. Not sure how that reflects on the rest of the food.

The Pumphouse never disappoints. They have a great selection of beer that I love, some of the spiciest wings I've had in town (XXX wings), and the building itself has a great atmosphere. P.S. ask for a "Black and Blue" and they'll mix the stout and blueberry ale for you.

We went at 2pm on a Monday, so the place was practically empty. Worked out for us. Our server was quick & friendly. Food came out fast also. Sent our calamari appetizer back. Too chewy to eat. But our mains we're good. I had the chicken quesadilla & my friends Crystal had the turkey club. She said it was terrific. Fabulous flavored brews!

Sign on the door says anyone under 19 must be accompanied by an adult. I am and adult and I tried to enter with someone under 19 and was refused because we aren't family. The sign doesn't say you need to be family. My underage friend got in with her sister who is NOT her legal guardian, so what's with that?

Perfect place to grab a bite as a visitor to Moncton. Arrived from the airport and headed here. Its was pretty busy for a Monday night which is a good sign. Kid friendly as there was other kids eating with their grandparents or parents. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was great. Probably the best sweet potato fries I've encountered. The beer was also really good. Took some home, it was that good. Good selection of beer. I can honestly keep saying more great things about this place but you will think they paid me lol. All kidding aside this place has good food, awesome staff, and a great environment. I'll be back when I'm in Moncton =)

First time to Moncton, In town visiting friends. The Pump House came highly recommended so we decided to hit it up for lunch today. Thankfully the food was good because the service was atrocious. Upon sitting down the wives had some pretty standard questions about the menu and the server (Mike) was beyond rude. A bit latter we asked about hearing that they now ship their beer over seas wondering what country and again the server gave us the impression we were putting him out by walking away and mumbling an answer. My wife asked for a taster of the cucumber sour and the server never came back to ask her if she liked it or wanted something else to drink. She ended up flagging another server down and she was very courteous and helpful. Upon paying our bill I left a decent tip when I wasn’t originally going to and Mike tore off the receipt and threw it on the table and walked away. I immediately regretted leaving a tip. Like seriously dude, if you don’t like your job stay home.

My coworkers and I stopped by today for burgers and lunch. Our three servers were friendly, quick, cheerful and very knowledgeable. My Shroom Burger and poutine was pretty good. The patty lacked flavour, and the mushrooms were okay. Just wish that there was some sauce or something. Otherwise, the buns were nicely toasted, lettuce was crisp and the poutine was delicious!! I also glanced at their gluten free options on the back of their menu, they are thoughtful and sound appetizing. Definitely will return!

Food was delicious, service was a bit slow. I had the fire hazard chili as an app, aptly named, it was fairly spicy. Had the Cajun burger as my main, very tasty, especially liked the jalapeno havarti on it. Caesar salad with it was fairly standard fair. Also had a Scotchberry to drink, which was their Scotch ale with blueberries in it, which was fantastic. All in all, if you're hungry and thirsty, definitely worth a stop, just make sure you've got some time to kill.

While the beer never fails to disappoint, I've had mixed results with the food here and as best I can tell it's a bit hit and miss on what food you order, who is working the kitchen, how the planets are aligned, etc. Overall, come for a drink! Stay for a while! Maybe don't come to hungry...

My opinion of this place has dropped a bit under the new ownership. The fish and chips are nowhere near as good as they used to be. The nachos also weren't as good. If there's anything I hope the new owners do, is get rid of their changes and leave it the same as it used to be. You don't take over a super successful and long lasting business and then start making changes like that, you're going to lose all the people that regularly enjoy coming.

Lunch at the pumphouse was great. The restaurant has a very friendly and inviting atmosphere; the waiters/waitresses are very friendly and knowledgeable; the food is great and fresh; the beer is amazing. They have a lot of vegetarian options as well. I can't recommend this place enough.

We did both of the beer flights they offered (so basically all the beers they have on tap) and literally every single one of them was excellent. A great place for casual gatherings for family and friends. They offer a great selection of beers, including their own micro brewery selections. My summertime favorite is the blueberry ale, which comes with a few fresh blueberries in your glass. The menu has enough variety to please anyone. My favorites are the fish and chips, chicken lips, nachos and burgers. The Wood-Fired-Oven pizzas are very popular as well.

Great beer. Only 4 stars due to the number of beers that they had run out of. My wife found a great beer the first day we stopped, but it was out the next two days. I had the Red (very good), which I was told they never run out of. They had a beer I wanted to try, but it was out too. Food was good, not great, but good. Prices were very fair. People were very nice, bar tenders very, very busy. But lots of other staff to help out. Overall a very nice Brew Pub that we will without a doubt return to the next time we pass thru the area.

Used to be our #1 place to go until we (7 people) we're kicked out of the place for having ONE person(not 7) checking out a waitress! If you want some fresh mussels that are absolutely to-die-for, in some garlic wine buttery broth with dunk-able “beer bread”, this is the place to get it. Yeah I know it’s a pub with pub fare but these were some of the best mussels I’ve ever had.

Great food, great atmosphere, great experiences. The pumphouse is a must visit location. Pizzas are fantastic, burgers are amazing, mussels are delicious, I've had some fantastic steaks and some just mediocre steaks. Local favorite beer is the blueberry ale, but the brewtasters sampler would give you a good variety to try the in-house brewed draft. Some unique seating is available in giant kegs, great for groups of 4-8. Only downside of the restaurant is it's really crowded at peak supper hours, book a reservation if waiting 20-30 mins is a problem for you.

The burgers my family had were excellent and the service was great. The disappointing part was the kitchen wasn't willing to cook around my allergy. I'm not fussy, but they wouldn't even carmalize an onion for me or make me a personal pizza (since their pre-made onions and pizza sauce contained my allergen). It was at 2pm, so not even busy in there. I ended up with a plate of fries.

Went around 9pm for some supper and the fruit flies were so bad we spent the entire meal trying to keep the flies from landing on our food it was so gross. When it was mentioned to the waiter he said it was normal for a bar to have them. Well that is gross and I won't be back since it is the norm for the pump house to have fruit flies.

Absolutely a must-visit for anyone visiting Moncton. Pumphouse is one of the most popular breweries in town, if not the most popular and their food/drinks are incredible. Been here a few times and I've yet to have a dish that I didn't like, and the craft beer was great each time. If I had to shortlist some items for someone reading this review and not being sure what to get: The burger that ate Moncton is absolutely delicious and very filling, the Blueberry Ale, and their Crafty Radler are my two personal favourite beers they offer, but they're all great.

Part 2 of review... what happened to Kurt?! Went in today for a sangria, 7up and a Turkey club. Sangria was horrible (my opinion), had to ask twice for a pop and not once did my server ask about the full sangrias I had on the edge of the table. The second meal was wrong, and was replaced promptly but not with the side. At the end of the meal the only things left were the 2 sangrias my friend and I each ordered, and they still made it on to the bill. My last few visits were great but I felt bad for suggesting here for lunch today after how everything went. First visit... Our server Kurt was wonderful! We asked for his opinion in what to order and was not disappointed. Our food, wait time and service was great and I will definitely start eating here more often.

I went here for lunch yesterday and it was quite busy so I’d understand a mistake or two but the level of incompetence I experienced was inexplicable. It took a long time to get our drink orders and then when they didn’t come out after 20 minutes we asked for them again. I ordered a plain cheeseburger with nothing on it and a Cesar salad. Food took 45 minutes to get to us and they brought me a bacon cheeseburger with everything on it and fries. I sent it back and they brought me the right burger but still with fries. I gave up arguing and just didn’t eat my side. We had about 4 different waiters serving us and none of them wrote anything down which I can assume is the reason my food kept being wrong (and it’s not like my order was complicated). Then we asked for the bill, and they charged us wrong so we tried to flag down a waiter for 25 minutes and then just gave up until someone came over. We entered the restaurant at 11:30am and left at just after 2pm. Food wasn’t even worth it. Worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had.

Food was good service was one of the worst I've ever experienced. It was busy and there was no greeter or anyone to take your name or tell you how long of a wait it was to sit down. We waited 35 minutes to be told we could have been seated on the patio as soon as we got there. People that came in after us were served before us. Our waitress was rude, ignored our table and rolled her eyes at us when we went inside to ask for our bill as we were tired of waiting and wanted to pay half debit half cash. She was visibly overwhelmed and annoyed and didn't seem suited for customer service. I wouldn't recommend the Pumphouse due to this waitress which is sad because food and beer was good.

Overall over-rated. Friendly staff who check in often, but a very crowded restaurant. There is barely enough room to walk between tables and the wait times can be atrocious for both tables and food. The food is good, but the prices are a bit much. The beer is supposedly quite good, especially their blueberry ale, but as someone who does not drink beer, I can only rely on the opinions of others. The atmosphere tries to be cozy, but with the amount of people crammed in there, the noise can become quite overwhelming.

Great family pit stop on the way back from Hopewell Rocks. The lunch stop was a great variety of pulled pork, salmon club, pump house salad and cheese pizza. All were very healthy portion, not too expensive and tasted great. Waitress was really nice and very helpful! The real reason for the stop; the beer. Scotch and Stout went down easy and tasted great! Will stop next time in Moncton.

Staff: Good Beer: Good Food: Not good... I had the Schroom Burger and Calamari and neither one met my expectations. I can tell that the fries and the beef pattie were from frozen packages. Even the mushrooms weren't freshly sautéed. I suspect the calamari were frozen as well and they don't come with dipping sauce. Atmosphere: Nice crowd.. Good for individuals and great for groups. Visit again: I might visit again and try the wood fired oven pizza.

This place is a dream for beer drinkers everywhere. Located right down town you will find fantastic food and great beers. The Radler is my favourite and tastes just like summer. A good time was had by all. We were just passing through on our way to another province and we stopped over for the night. We went to the pump house on Google recommendations and weren't disappointed. The wait, even at such a busy time, was short and when we got in the staff we're helpful. What an atmosphere on a Friday night. And amazing beers too. We sat at the bar and the bartender was so attentive. We ordered a few appys and they were great; they came very quickly too. Surely this is THE place to hang out in Moncton these days! BTW after 10pm they still do food but they switch to a simpler late night menu of appys that soak up beer, typical pub food if you know what I mean. Before 10pm the menu is very comprensive

We had the turkey club and one of the pizzas. We also had the taster samples of drinks. Service was good. Good was good and decently priced. Sitting outside was nice. Bathrooms were clean and well kept.

The ambience on a Saturday evening is best described as loud. The waitress was very friendly and understanding, especially when my friends had to leave in a rush, she had their bill ready in no time. Things to avoid: poutine, BBQ chicken pizza. Things to get: Firecracker Chicken Sandwitch, any other pizza.

Fantastic food. Great beer. Good service. What more can you ask for really? We had pizza and a burger and both were fantastic. It was packed when we got there at 7pm on a Friday and somehow still managed to find a seat but I would bet during the summer it would be a different story. Seems like everyone already knows about this great spot.

Longer than expected wait for a table, with no communication from the staff but once we were seated the food was worth it! The calamari and the smoked turkey club were delicious and service was quick despite a packed restaurant.

It was excellent. Highly recommend the salmon, done to perfection. Beer was cold and the suggestion by the waitress to match our dinner choice was great.

The Pumphouse has been our local for many years. We go every Friday night and often meet with friends. To our dismay, the staff has had a major turnover and our sassy, experienced server-friends are no longer there (with the exception of a few). Add to this the new practice of keeping the patrons waiting in line, when you can clearly see five and six unoccupied tables for 10-15 minutes before a host seats you. Unacceptable to me is when there are elderly patrons waiting. I sure hope something changes soon, it's usually such a great place. The kitchen always rocks...no complaint there.

Chicken lips were good. Nachos had a generous amount of cheese and jalapeños. Interesting beer selection. Good atmosphere. Staff seemed overwhelmed for a Monday night.

This is not just a beer garden but a place where family's and friends meet and celebrate. Behind those mask the waitresses are wearing because of the new normal, still you could feel the smile in their faces and joy as they serve you. I love the place, I love the people.

Their moto is that they are a brewery first. Saw their trucks delivering to the local sports bar. Steaks were very good as well as their blueberry beer. This casual brewery is very popular with the locals.

Big disappointment. Came to a long line up, to find out that its a group waiting on a big table. When asked to be seated with my party of 3, we told sternly to "go back to the back of the line" - like some children trying to skip on the cafeteria line-up. I haven't been treated like that in a while.... Anyhow doesn't end here. Waiter was probably high because orders were apparently "ready and waiting for him to pick up" ...when he repeatedly came around empty handed. Took >15 min to get my first pint. Then took >30 min for my daughter to get her little pieces of chicken and some beard (yes she was freaking out). Beer was good, food was salty. Can't recommend it in all honesty. And I was hoping to love it!

Pump House is what I call a "safe brewery". Not very adventurous in their brewing, but they keep the consistency in what they brew and certainly keep drawing-in the crowds. The get earned respect for being the first "craft brewer" in town. The food is above average, best pizza in town, fire oven baked. I often go for their daily special, which is often put together with fresh, local offerings.

Haven’t been to the Pump House in years but had to give em a visit while in town. Their beer is on point as usual and had the meat lovers pizza with habanero: so yummy!

My partner and I came out for a late dinner based on the reviews online. The food was OK, but I was a bit disappointed. We ate from their ‘late menu’ - the fish and chips were overdone and the nachos had minimal cheese but lots of toppings. Just not a lot of thought or care seemed to go into the food prep. The service was mediocre, we waited about 10 minutes for our waitress to return with our waters but she was good about refilling them. I probably wouldn’t come back if I had another option but it wasn’t terrible.

Visited our son in Shediac, and took a trip to Cape Jourimain Nature Centre. Just for a giggle, we tried the blueberry ale that was available in the cafeteria there. We fell in love with it. We had to know where it was made, and when we discovered it was a brewpub there was no holding us back. Went there for an evening and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Food was good, servers were friendly and attentive, and the blueberry ale was flowing! We made certain to pick up a few to take back to Toronto, and we are now yearning for more. The taste of blueberry is just perfect; enough to let you know it's there without overwhelming the flavour of the beer. A perfect blend! If you visit Moncton, try the Pump House.
