Hynes Restaurant in Moncton, NB is an institution. It began in 1939, and has been in it's present location since 1957. Good diner food, warm Maritime service. Try the lobster roll, and the corn chowder.

Had seafood basket. It was okay but they used frozen crinkle fries, haddock was good but scallops were dry and too much batter on shrimp. The roll was cold but good texture only the plate was warm. Service was quick. Won't order this again and probably won't be back.

Staff is very nice and friendly with the kids. They take cleaning very seriously. I tried their chicken sandwich and was amazing. Plus it's very worth your money. Look at the full plate for $13 only. I was glad that I tried this place out. I also loved their coffee. Made my day ????

Parking lot is a bit akward when busy (and this place is busy! Once inside, we were in a line up for about 5 minutes. Breakfast was delivered very fast (it was busy) and the food was very good. Will definitly go at Hynes restaurant again. Its a relaxing diner

Faantastic all day breakfast place. Gets super busy. Everything any of my friends have gotten from here has been good. Pancakes are huge, pan fried hashbrowns and onions are delicious. Macaroni and cheese is the best I've ever had at a breakfast place.

Had the lobster roll and it had lots of lobster meat and is one of the better ones I've had. Seafood chowder was amazing and lots of good seafood in it!

Great big portions, friendly and fast service. The portions are like "my plate needs a guardrail" sized. Everything is wheelchair friendly and accessible. The pricing is pretty reasonable for the amount of food. Definitely a hopping busy spot, you may find a line leading up to lunch hour and weekends. They are family run over a long time- you can see that and see the owners working the floor. Tons of parking in the area and across the street they have a dedicated lot. Certainly a sign of a busy spot!

Cheap breakfast special never disappoints. Avoid on Sundays around church time as it's packed to the brim with all the grandparents, great aunts and uncles in Moncton. Lives up to the old diner aesthetic. *(Not a good place for vegan or vegetarian folks though.)

Excellent food and service. Chance upon this restaurant while looking for a seafood restaurant on our road trip, we enjoyed so much that we went back 2 days later. Had Fish & chips, lobster roll, seafood lasagna on our first visit for lunch, all were wonderful. The lobsters were so fresh and tasty, combination of lobster, lightly toasted roll and the sauce was perfect. We wanted to have another before leaving Moncton and was delighted to find that they open their doors from 7am. Our 2nd visit was for breakfast, we went the lobster rolls again. We were introduced to lobster Benedict as a variation to the lobster roll. Generous portion of lobster in both dishes. Service was again excellent, very friendly and thoughtful staff. Best breakfast option, large variety. Will definitely visit again if we do pass through Moncton again.

After many years, this is still a favorite local greasy spoon restaurant in Moncton. True to it's diner heritage, breakfast can be had at anytime. Very friendly service, reasonably priced, with ample servings. The menu is expansive. So come and explore their offerings. Alcohol is not served here. There can be a wait at peak mealtimes on any day of the week.

Excellent place! I honestly would have missed it if it was not for a local friend of mine who suggested it. Onion rings were delicious, hamburgers were wonderful, the battered fish was extremely flaky - how it should be! I think this place is now my favorite location to get fish&chips at. Although, I wouldn't exactly vouch for the fries - I mean they're not bad. My friend adores them. I just don't like thick-crinkle cut fries. I totally recommend you visit if you're around! Atmosphere is great!

Well, I see why this place is a hit with the old people... My breakfast steak was horrible. The steak was actually gray. Covered in what I can assume was canned non stick spray. There was no seasoning, not even a single pepper flake. Straight up no salt or pepper. I'd give one star, but the waitress was friendly.
