I feel like most places that claim to have authentic Italian cuisine in Moncton always fall flat. This place is no different, we placed a reservation but when we arrived it seemed the incompetent staff forgot till last minute about us and rushed to put our table together, or at least that is what it felt like with olive oil spilled on our table and chairs that were protruding into the aisle. If this was not due to the staff neglecting the fact that we were coming at this time than I see a big problem. After which we were given cold bread and water which after paying for a 20+$ meal felt like a slap in the face, they could've at least cooked the bread instead of giving us stale cold bread. Finally after waiting a considerable amount of time for our meal, our pizzas arrived. I was expecting the pizza to save my thoughts of Gusto's but instead I felt like I was eating some microwaved pizza that was tasteless. Never order the "New Yorker", all it is; is a pepperoni pizza with hamburger do not let the menu deceive you. Most of our table ordered pizzas and the majority agreed that the pizzas were low quality even if they were considered their signature dishes. Even the person who ordered the chicken parm thought Boston Pizza was pulling it off better. Gusto's is another restaurant I recommend people to avoid, or at the very least if you go do not order the pizzas or chicken parm, as they are an embarrassment and are not enjoyable in the slightest.

Ordered the lasagna and it didn't resemble lasagna at all; it looked like a bowl of soup with melted cheese in it. Taste wise it was mediocre; nothing to tell friends about. Also, I don't believe they have air conditioning and today was a heat wave. The polite young lady at the front told us it's "cooler" on the bottom floor so we were seated there. It's so unfortunate that a restaurant doesn't have (or did not turn on) an air conditioner. Would have gone a loooong way in today's heat! But I digress. The food served was great except for the lasagna; that was a disaster.

Me and my family had an amazing Dinner experience at Gusto! The staff was very kind and welcoming despite the fact that they were very busy because of the amount of people at the restaurant. At first we were a bit hesitant to go to the restaurant because of a few bad reviews that we read, even though we decided to take the "risk". That was our best decision of the day! The waiting time was reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious!!! Me and my family will definitely be going back! Special shoutout to the waiter who took care of us. Unfortunately we didn't ask for his name! The other staff members that welcomed us tonight also did a great job! Thank you very much. Keep up the good work!

This was my third visit at gusto. The venue is in a charming old building in the heart of downtown. We were greeted by a homeless man that stands right next to the entrance asking for change (a bit of an uncomfortable situation). Upon entering, there’s a selection of delicious looking cakes (talk about temptation) and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. To enjoy your experience at Gusto you must be comfortable with a noisy environment with lots of activities going on around you. The food was good, although a bit pricey and the service was a bit slow but overall a good experience. Would recommend.

We went for a friend's birthday and enjoyed ourselves. Wait staff was friendly and quick with our orders, drink refills came swiftly. We had a couple orders of the bruschetta, which was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed what they had ordered for their main dish. The booths were separated by plastic dividers, which made it comfortable and safe even with another group in the booth next to us. Would definitely go back.

First visit to this restaurant and it won't be our last. Food snd service was great. Our friend had ordered ravioli and upon receiving her plate, the inside of the ravioli was still cold snd the waitress quickly took the plate and it was returned hot snd delicious. At the end, the manager comes to our table and apologizes for the error and said her meal would be free. This is a sign of a great restaurant who step up to their mistake and not try to find excuses. 5 stars!

Beautiful atmosphere and ambiance. Flawless service. The flat bread (like a garlic finger) and risotto balls as appetizers were perfect. As a large party a variety of dishes were ordered. Only 2 things were described as "good, but not great at" : the salmon and chicken parmesan were both a little dry. This could have just been a consequence of trying to serve a dozen people at the same time. Everyone agreed 100% they'd go back. The cheesecake deserts are possibly one of the greatest deserts any of us had ever eaten. Available in a variety of flavours, they're worth the visit alone. They're like a massive piece of luscious chocolate cake wrapped around a velvety cheesecake. So good... It was almost a perfect dining experience, and I'll be going anytime I'm even near Moncton.

Id like to express my disappoinement and dissatfaction I have encuntered i your restaurant after I ordered a pesto pizza and asked to change it " without pork" when I found out it has pork in it, I offered to pay for both in terms of making me a new one not just take off the pork on the same one, .. when I went home I discovered that it was the same one with the pork taste on it, though I reminded the staff for a new one with no pork ... but she brought the same one and she was lying saying that’s a totally new one she didn’t even respect that im muslim and I don’t eat pork even i mentioned that Couple of times

Mediocre Food and Mediocre Service I had dinner here with my wife this evening and we were generally unimpressed with the food and the service, I had read reviews on Google prior to going and there were some mixed ones but on average they seemed pretty good so we decided to try. In the end we experienced what some others had, which was both mediocre food and service. The appetizers themselves were very good (Arancini and Parmesan Chicken bites) however the Margarita Pizza may be the worst pizza that we have had and we are pizza lovers (but not snobs). There is thin crust pizza and then there is almost transparent crust pizza ... the pizza was so thin that it had the texture of cardboard and tasted about as good. The sauce was not flavorful and the cheese was equally tasteless. I am used to Margarita Pizzas to be fresh but this pizza was just flat and stale. Our service was not what I am used to in decent restaurants either ... if fact we had three different servers during our time there and we weren't actually sure who was assigned to our table ... and not one of them introduced themselves nor asked during our meal how our food was. When we went to pay we were asked how the meal was and we offered our honest feedback. While I do appreciate that the server asked at that stage he was pretty indifferent with our reply and simply asked if we were local or from away and then said that he would pass along the comment to the kitchen. I would actually rate Gusto as 2.5 stars if I could and do not plan to return again. I think that the restaurant has potential but given that some of the previous reviews that I read weren't great and they were from 6 months ago, I suspect that they don't put much credence in what dissatisfied customers have to say as they don't seem to be improving. Next time I will head across the street for some of the best pizzas I've had in the past!

Despite waiting an extra 10 minutes for a table for our evening reservation, the service was excellent and the food tasted like a "Little Italy" experience! The atmosphere was softly lit and the wall of wine was a unique touch; authentic Italian wines mixed with house favorites! What a great idea!

No idea how this is rated 4.5 stars, 2.5 - 3 at absolute best. Took 30 minutes to get an initial drink order. Cocktails were decent. Food was outrageously overpriced for quality. Seafood was overcooked, pasta came in a soup of oil, pizzas had wrong toppings, not worth 30 min to send it back. Food was extremely salty. Group of 12 seated horizontally? Can't talk to anyone, poor setup. The only redeeming event was getting a round of doubles for the price of singles because they had no shot glasses when shots were ordered for table. Overall a big pass, take your business elsewhere. ***UPDATED So after posting our review the GM of Gusto reached out and wanted to make things right. He offered to have us back with a gift card for a better experience. Was roughly a month between visits, and when we called to make the reso we requested a booth, to which the host said they could not guarantee but they would "try." This defeats the entire purpose of a reso, so of course we get there and there's no booth available. Frustrating because we were seated in the middle of the resto while there were multiple couples in booths. Makes no sense. Service this time was much better, but it's easy to see their mgmt. assigns too many tables to servers. This business is all about quantity not quality. They want as many people in and out as possible, basically a glorified Boston Pizza. Drinks are good, anything involving bread / pizza / deep fried is good, but their seafood and pasta dishes have been a miss every time. Seafood either overcooked or smells and tastes off. We tried mussels this time and sent them back after eating only one or two. Management was great at addressing our initial concerns, but unfortunately this doesn't fix the issues with their service, taking resos properly or overall food quality. After giving this restaurant more than a fair chance it's definitely an overall pass for us. For an average $150 outing as a couple, you can find much better dining experiences in Moncton.

My friend and I visited and we absolutely loved it. The bartender Alice was wonderful and provided the best service. She was very attentive and so were her coworkers. The food was amazing and the prices were worth it when you look at th portions and quality of food you're getting. We even saved room for dessert and she said the pieces were small and they were huge. Great place to go to have a nice meal or hang out.

I have allergies (dairy/soy) so eating out is always tricky. We chose Gusto because we were celebrating my Uncle's birthday and my Auntie is celiac and our research told us how great they are for people with gluten intolerances. Our server was very knowledgeable with celiac and my Aunt easily found something delicious to eat. With my allergies there was nothing on the menu so the server had the chef come to speak with me. She asked me what I had my eye on and then made it for me... dairy/soy free. It was so delicious I didn't even pause for a picture! They had a dairy free dessert on the menu but it ended up having soy in it. Our meal was so good we went back two days later and the chef remembered us. She sent over a special dairy free dessert for me! (Because I rarely get dessert) Wish we lived closer! Thanks for the great gluten free, dairy free, soy free meals!

A very comfortable environment with open space and great atmosphere. The staff are professional and helpful. The chefs and cooks certainly take pride in their work as the food is not only presented well, it is also extremely delicious. Started with the Arancini which was a perfect blend of cheeses, sausage, and herbs. The main dish was the Linguine Frutti Di Mare which was spectacular. This is something that, if you enjoy great food, you MUST try this. It is well worth the price and you will not regret it.

Overall, very good pizza. The "Gusto Works" Pizza was a solid, tasty pizza, on solid thin crust. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice, and the service was timely and accommodating. Even though the burrata only came with "small pieces of burrata" with salad, not a whole burrata (it was just my personal expectation based on others italian food restaurants), it was very tasty. And, so far, the best pizza here in Monton. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy. Great experience.

We went here for a romantic dinner..... When we got there we went up stairs, the place was so noisey you couldn't hear yourself Think, the waitress was nice and suggested it may be a little quieter down so we agreed and down we went. It was not much quiter down there, they said it was due to the beer fest, anyways my boyfriend really likes the restaurant and assured me I would love the food. I decided to order another glass of wine because I was told that "downstairs" was the only place that "happy hour was available. I ordered a 9 oz glass of sauvignon blanc, when the waitress brought me the glass of wine I told her I was paying for my own wine, I almost had a heart attack the bill was $19.00!! "I said, but it happy hour" she said well this wine ain't included! Im not a huge wine expert, nor do I eat out alot, but I was shocked! Not only was it loud, but the food was not great! I went to the liquor store just for fun to see what this wine cost, it's $20.49. maybe this is normal, but I'll never be back!!!

Loved the pasts dishes we had (goat cheese ravioli and linguini fruits di mare). The service was excellent, food tasty. The massive pieces of cake to finish are definitely only partly eaten after the meal and then taken home to be enjoyed. Highly recommend.

Had a great first experience at Gusto on July 10th. Our server Matt(hew) was amazing even though he seemed to be slammed with also having to run the bar at moments. There was a small mix up on our food but it was handled quickly and without any "are you sure you didn't order the wrong thing?" questions which was really appreciated. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely be coming back. The only reason this is four stars instead of five is because of what seemed to be short staffing.

We were really disappointed with this restaurant, as we were really looking forward to it. While the atmosphere was beautiful, the food and service were quite bad. The service was incredibly slow, and our waitress was very unfriendly and seemed annoyed to be there. I hate to say it, but the food had no flavor. Our chicken parm was burned and the bottom was black. We barely ate anything and didn’t pack it to go, and our waitress didn’t even ask if the food was okay. She hardly spoke to us. I noticed a man across from us sending his food back to the kitchen as well. A disappointing waste of $100. Unfortunate.

We were visiting from Toronto and personally I felt the food was not really authentic Italian- I can say because I lived in Italy and lived with Italians. Portions are huge but pasta was over cooked and sauce was awful that I didn't get to finish 1/5of my plate. Also my friend ordered pizza and they were huge, lots of bread but topping was disappointing.

Well, service was the big issue here. We were seated quickly, despite having no reservations. We were given menus quickly too, off to a good start! We ordered drinks, which were brought relatively quickly too. So far so good. When the waitress dropped off the drinks she told me she'd be right back to take our order. It should be noted that we are a family of four, with two boys under 10, and had been walking all day and were tired, ready for a good meal, and be on our way. We were not interested in a leisurely paced meal, and this should have been obvious to the server. Well she didn't come right back to take our order. We waited. And waited. And waited. Probably ten minutes, while the server settled up with another table, bussed another table, and went to the continue RE stocking the bar. One of us went over and told her we were ready to place our order. She said she'd be right over. At least five minutes passed, while she made drinks (was she also the head bartender?) for another server. We flagged down another waitress and asked if she'd take our order, which she did. The bread arrives. It's delicious!!! Many minutes pass after we are done the bread, and we decide to pile the appetizer plates up ourself as they were not bussed quickly at all. Main course arrives. It's good. Very good. The best part of the experience, really. Unfortunately our waters sit empty, and nobody comes to check on us. We move the empty glasses to the edge of the table to suggest perhaps someone could fill the waters??? Still nobody checks in on us, despite many people walking by. We eat and are ready to go home so we pay and leave. Unfortunately I did leave a very small tip, because I really didn't feel the service was up to par in any way whatsoever. Not only were big mistakes made, but nobody acknowledged the poor service and nothing was done about it. As an aside, I did see our server speaking to another table about their lack of happiness with their experience as well. Maybe it was a bad night? Maybe the server had too much on her plate? Either way the real issue for us is not the service, but the lack of acknowledgement of missing those key details in a good dining experience. We will not be back.

Servers are great ... attentive and friendly .. the food however is merely ok and given the cost of the steak I ordered I was very disappointed. The potatoes on my dish were formed into these lovely looking shapes meant to resemble a loaf of french bread however they were lukewarm, dense and chewy and not at all pleasant on the palette .. the accompanying steak was cooked well but lacked seasoning and the veg was probably only blanched for about 30 seconds and were more or less raw. The desert we ordered was billed as a layered chocolate cake ... it was essentially a block of icing and we found ourselves looking for the cake ... the one shining moment of the meal for me was the appetizer... the arancini balls were absolutely fantastic .. perfectly crisp on the outside, unctuous and creamy on the inside with 2 delicate sauces as a compliment. I would go back on the strength of the staff alone but I would likely stick to drinks and appetizers. I feel I should also mention that my wife ordered the lobster Mac & Cheese and raved about it for 2 days so there's that.

Great place to eat and spend time with friends or to use for business lunch or supper! The food is delicious and fresh ( their pizza and pasta never disappointed me), the staff always willing to serve, professional, but not all the time knowledgeable. The local is nice and good size. They could update their menu - some of the items are no longer available and it is also nice to see something new introduced to it. They have a lunch menu at a very decent price and also just recently launched a very quick takeout option at lunch time. Overall a place we'll definitely keep visiting!

Gusto has a great atmosphere, and fantastic food. The specialize in wood fired oven fare, such as pizza and bread dishes. The venue is the kind of exposed brick / warehouse conversion thing and has lots of space for larger groups. They also have a decent beer menu.

Gusto has a very nice decor. Their wood-fired oven makes for amazing thin-crust pizzas. My wife enjoyed their seafood pasta dish. I suggest asking for a booth since they are extra wide they will comfortably fit 6 people.

I have to say that the food was really good and my only complaint was it was a little cold. The reason it was cold was because the wait staff kept letting the food pile up. We kept watching the wait staff ignore the food and the kitchen. The chefs were trying everything to get them to do their job and the wait staff just kept ignoring them. This leads into the problem with our experience: the service. We were ignored for most of the dinner. I asked for pop and never got it. We were never given refills on our water. When we were more than halfway done with our meal the waitress comes back and asks how our first bite is going. We also felt extremely rushed and like the wait staff didn't want us to enjoy the meal. I could understand if the restaurant was busy but it really wasn't and there was a bunch of wait staff working for the amount of people. I'm assuming it is to give people better experiences... Which was not the case. I'll consider coming back once the dead weight is removed from the wait staff and they train the wait staff better. Until then I will find other places to eat.

Visiting from Ottawa on a work trip. Really, a restaurant to rival the best we have back home. Classy, but not stuck up at all. I had the lobster mac and cheese while wearing jeans and it didn't feel at all out of place. Would recommend to pretty much anyone looking for a good upper range meal without needing to suit up. ;)

The artichoke dip was delicious and I highly recommend the baked salmon, which had a perfect lightly crisped outside and buttery centre. We went there, couldn't get a table but nice setup to eat at the bar, the waiter was super nice and the food is great. Point to note the food size is quite big if you don't eat a lot of food. Quite disappointed by the waiter's attitude when we gave the tip (we gave quite a big tip) but the waiter sounded like flat, probably wanting more so we were a bit off because of it. Otherwise nice restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant! We ate dinner here today. I can't eat dairy or gluten and they were very happy to accommodate me accordingly. I was impressed! It's tough to eat out and I never figured that I could eat at an Italian restaurant. This was a superb experience all around. I had chicken with potatoes and cauliflower (looks pretty blah but it tasted fresh & delish), and they even brought me some toasted gluten-free bread to start with fresh herbs and olive oil for dipping -- yum!! I was able to have dessert too -- a flourless, GF and dairy-free chocolate cake (HUGE SLICE!!! Could share it between 2 or 3 people easily). The menu clearly specifies which items are GF (doesn't specify which are DF). There are plenty of options. My boyfriend enjoyed his pizza and cheesecake. Our server was wonderful and service was quick and efficient. I highly recommend this spot in Moncton! Enjoy!

We are from Toronto and we were out on the East Coast last summer (2018) and we had the good fortune of coming across Gusto. This was one of the best meals either of us had ever had in our lives. It was fabulous from start to finish. The decor and atmosphere was wonderful, beautiful woods, very rustic. we sat downstairs, but our waitress told us we should go take a peek upstairs. We are glad we did - it was stunning up there! beautiful open kitchen, I wish i had the words to adequately describe the atmosphere. And the food was incredible, even down the the french fires - no detail was spared. Quality ingredients, fresh everything - it's a must. It was truly our highlight of Moncton, hands down. There is another restaurant in town that has more reviews, and a higher rating on some review sites. We ate there. It wasn't nearly as good. The reason they score higher and get more reviews is the demographic of the customers who go there (younger people who are more likely to post a review). But trust me when I say, Gusto is definitely the best restaurant in town, hands down. We can't wait to take another trip out to the beautiful East Coast, and in all honesty we will plan our route so that it takes us through Moncton at dinnertime, so we can eat at Gusto. Had the best evening at Gustos, Bill, our waiter was EXCEPTIONAL, took a group photo, took time to really get good photos, making us laugh for a better shot. The food, drinks were excellent quality, but the service was to speak of. Attentive waiter, made sure we had all we needed, even gave the bride to be a few extra drinks! Bachelorette party here was a definate success. Will be returning to hopefully recieve the same 5 star service and quality of food. Lobster mac and cheese was ????. I really don't normally leave reviews but this really stuck with me. Food was great as usual 10/10 there. 1 star for our amazing serving Sue- I don't know if she assumed we would be poor tippers or what her deal was that night, I have been a waitress for 12 years and would hang up my apron and walk out the door before behaving like she did at any of my jobs. The only words all night she said to us were "hello" "do you need more time" " Any other questions before I have to walk over to the kitchen again? (Rude by the way) and "I need the bill back so i can grab your change". No exageration- Ordered a bottle of wine for Valentines night and got wine service in complete silence, super awkward by the way to watch someone open a bottle while glancing around and not even making an effort to acknowledge you. Was rude and unwelcoming when I was trying to compile all my allergy questions into one trip because I KNOW its annoying to run back and fourth to the kitchen, but forgot to ask something and she let me know how god forsaken annoying it was for her to walk 10 feet (literally we were 10 feet away) over to the lovely head chef (who was more friendly then Sue to us by the way) by rudely coughing up that if I had any other questions to ask her now before she went back over. Anyways I could go on and on but the gist is we didnt see her ONCE after our meal was delivered. We saw her about 10 mins after we were done and got dessert (because I came for the cake with my allergies) and we didnt see her for another 20 or so mins while we sat there waiting to box up the cake- cash on the table and desperate to leave so we could go try to redeem our evening elsewhere. EDIT: To say the argument can't be made she was very busy at all- caught her standing around a lot and from what I can see they had manageable sections that evening.

They lost our reservation, which they rectified after some waiting and told us to go upstairs. Once upstairs we were greeted by another hostess who had no idea where to put us. Obviously the information had not been passed from downstairs to upstairs. We waited again. She sat us at a table near to us. We sat down and began looking at our drink menus. It wasn't long before we were interrupted by the hostess making sure we knew that we had to be out by a certain time because of another reservation ( when we were already 30 min past our reservation time originally before we were seated) Food and drinks were good and the server was run off her feet trying to make sure we had everything. One of my favourite restaurants. I have gone here many times and definitely will return. I had an amazing experience where I ordered the veal and asked for it cooked medium well and the chef sent the server back to me to explain how I had ordered it would make the meat tough and chewy and recommended medium rare leaning towards medium. The waitress did not come by our table to take our order for 45 minutes and the food took over an hour. The pizza was cold and the cheese was hard and the $38 steak was burnt and tough. We got another pizza, and the waitress said she'd comp the steak since we didnt want to wait for another. The waitress took our two drinks off the bill instead of the steak, and took the steak off after we mentioned it, as the drinks she took off instead were $20 less than the steak. The cheesecake and bread with dip was good though.

Visited Moncton for an overnight stay, and decided to come here for dinner. I did takeout due to covid (I visited mid-October). I had the lasagna based on staff recommendation and the petit cheesecakes. The quality of the takeout is acceptable and the portions are more than enough. The lasagna was so delicious! Even after reheating it, it was cheesy good. AND, they provide bread and balsamic vinegar as well. Kudos to you! I am unsure how it is as dine-in, but I was surprised to see bread included. I didn't need to order the cheesecake, but the dessert was so good, but a tad sweet. Overall, I would recommend takeout if you are not comfortable with dine-in.

Beef tenderloin was perfection, not over seasoned but a great balance where you could taste the fine cut of beef but still get hints of well complimented flavours. The red roasted potatoes were bland but that would be the only thing I would not rave about. The shrimps and scallops were seared just right and was fresh and flavourful. My wife had a wood fired oven pizza and again just an explosion of fresh flavours. Billy was our server and he did not leave us wanting. He was helpful and knew the menu very well, helping us to find just what we desired. Will eat here again the next time we come to Moncton. My wife also has an anaphylactic allergy to shellfish and the head chef was very helpful. He got fresh ingredients from their prep area to make sure there was no cross contamination.

I like the lighting of the restaurant and choose to celebrate my birthday here. However, my friend and I started ordering at 8:00 and did not serve until around 9:40. This experience is simply too bad ????, we waited for more than an hour. And when we communicated with the waiter, she said that the reason is that steak production takes a long time. We waited until the surrounding guests had left before starting to eat, and finally, the waiter said that they would give away some small cakes as compensation. But my friends and I are very disappointed, this is my worst birthday experience.

The calimary was good as well. Save room for desert, the tiramisu is to die for. Would defiantly go back. Total bill for 6 with a few drinks and applies..$268.00.

Great place for a romantic dinner. The setting is very nice, decor is great and food is awesome. The only negative of this place is that it can get noisy on a busy weekend night because it is a wide open space with high ceiling. I have had a few different items on the menu and have never been disappointed. This is a spot to visit when you're in town for sure.

3 stars is generous.. very disappointed as I was really excited to try this restaurant, however pasta taste like boxed catelli with no flavour, had to cover it in spiced oil to get some flavour, pizza was super bland and had almost no sauce on it. Service is what you’d get at any casual bar.. barely seen the waitress, she didn’t ask how the food was, and we got our drinks about a half hour after getting food..

THIS PICTURE THOUGH! There’s so much more to Gusto besides food. The ambiance is ambient and fantastic, the service and servers are always top-notch, and the food is always hot and fresh. But the cherry-on-top, is always the dessert. This is the seasonal Cadbury cheesecake; like all of their desserts, I had to stop myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting. Good food. Absolutely beautiful atmosphere. We were in awe watching the kitchen and bar. We started with an appetizer which was basically chicken nuggets. I had the chicken marsala. The chicken was delicious... moist and well seasoned, but the potatoes were the star. My husband kept eating them off my plate. They were flavourful, perfectly smooth and creamy. My husband had the carbonara. It was a bit bland. Service was superb. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing. We will definitely be back

Went at Gusto with 7 person group we waited over an hour for the food, my pizza was very good (italian butcher), 2 others took pasta, one of them the pasta were not really cooked and the other one only had few tiny peice of seafood in it. The other on had a steak and he liked it. The atmosphere is cozy looking but too loud for 'cozy' which I dont mind. Our seat was in the first floor. Overall from MY view I like it.

Visited Gusto while passing through Moncton. It was quite a struggle to find a restaurant that could accommodate a gluten allergy. I would recommend Gusto to anyone dining with a dietary restriction. They go above and beyond to safely prepare a delicious meal. I had the Risotto Alle Frutti Di Mare, and my companion had the Italiano Mac and Cheese, made gluten-free by request. Both dishes were excellent, although I was somewhat jealous of the meal across from me, as the Mac and Cheese looked and tasted amazing! I had the Carrot Cake Della Nonna, as you can see the portion is very large so make sure you have room or get it to go! They also serve some of their desserts in a mini size, my mate got the mini Chocolate Torta, which was tasty and more manageable.

Pizza is pricey but was good. One of the few we have tried in Moncton that doesnt use a sickly sweet pizza sauce - thank you. Risotto balls were good but not as crispy as expected. The lids on the dipping sauce came off in transit so there was no sauce. Cesar salad dressing did not have a lot of flavor or maybe not enough for amount of lettuce. Ferrero rocher cheesecake was huge but really not good at all and didnt taste fresh - tho dont think it would make a difference.

This is the first time in a long time that I had pizza the resembled pizza! I’m gluten free, which usually means dry crust and no toppings. Not the case here. I was extremely impressed that when they brought the bread to the table I was given some warm gluten free bread with oil and spices to dip it in. I was too full for dessert but I’m very interested in what gluten free options were available. Beautiful place, excellent service and excellent food. Can’t wait to go back.

Located just off of Main St. Moncton, Gusto Restaurant is a very good choice to eat. The food was fantastic and the choice of different meals was great. Something for eveyone. Covid protocols were all in place and followed by all. You need to be double vaccinated to enter and all staff are masked as they should be. The only thing that kept it from a 5 star rating was that it is just a little pricey. A little over $100 for two with only one if us having an alcoholic beverage.

Stuck between three and four star on this one. Very nice atmosphere and the food was of a very good quality but was not the level of fantastic. Service was very good and it was a short wait for the food to be delivered to the table. This is also a place that believes a glass of house wine should be at a very premium charge which is not unlike many restaurants, but this seems to be the thing. Pizza seemed to be popular and if there is a next time, I would like to try a taste of that.

Not at all what I was expecting. We had our appetizers, wine and main course in under 30 minutes. Not what to expect for a sit down enjoyable restaurant experience. The food was just fair and service could have been exceptionally better. They should invest time and money into properly training their wait staff, poor girl, wasn't her fault, but certainly seemed like she was hired on and thrown into it. Opened wine bottle on the table, picked up our wine glasses to pour wine, very wrong etiquette, but the waitress was not at fault and we did tip her very generously (25%)

I took my girlfriend and our respective kids here for a birthday supper tonight. We made a reservation the night before, were sat promptly, and had a lovely time. The drinks were quick, and the bread plate we had for the kids was delicious. We ordered a spinach & artichoke dip for an appetizer that was so tasty my son wants to return on his birthday solely for that. We ordered a "New Yorker" pizza for supper that easily fed us all. My beautiful girlfriend was gifted a massive slice of birthday cake, and we got another sliced into three for the kids. I would certainly recommend this restaurant for a fancy night out or a special occasion. It is not the cheapest place in town, but you certainly get what you pay for.

Made a reservation for our company Christmas party about 1 1/2 months ago. Today, I was told by the manager that they could not honour that reservation as 25 was more thank they could handle on a Friday night. Funny that it took them 1 1/2 months to return my call and cancel my confirmed reservation.........Very, very poor customer service.....I don't think I will be returning to Gusto's any time soon

If I'm going to go out for a sit down pizza, Gusto's is where I'm going! They are putting out the best restaurant pizza in Moncton. The rest of their menu is also great, but I can't stop getting their pizzas. Good Wine List. Very well appointed dinning room. Classy spot all around.

Awesome food. I had the chicken parm with fries and it was really good. Well, the fries were not anything special but the chicken parm was huge and delicious. It was about $22 and it definitely would feed two people. Super friendly staff, quick service and an amazing atmosphere. With the open kitchen you get to watch them prepare your food which adds a nice element to your visit.

Thoroughly enjoyed this eatery. Wonder filet cooked to perfection; literally melt in your mouth. Chicken marsala was equally as grand. Good, solid service with attentive staff and some very decent recommendations. Will be back!

Our first time out here, was anxious to give it a try with 4 other friends. Beautiful ambiance, great staff! However, sadly the food itself was disappointing. Ordered many appetizers, muscles & calamari were great! The table bread was barely warm and the herbs over salty. The arancinis risotto was over cooked and far too mushy. The fish & chicken dinners were small portions and far too much sodium in the chicken marsala. The chicken parmigiana, was by far the best dish ordered at our table. Drinks were wet and fabulous!! Note, nobody ordered pizza ... Won't be my "go to" restaurant for true Italian in the city.

I’m from Ontario and honestly the carbonara is MIND BLOWING. The steak wasn’t all that good and I’m a BIG steak foodie and it was like 2/10. The pasta and the pizza crust was AMAZING!!!!!!! My lovely man took me here and the atmosphere was so cute

Food was great service was rushed and the place filled up fast. The table next to us had 3 women who wanted to let off some steam and have some wine and a pizza for one. That was ok till the swearing started not outloud but loud enough for us about there other haves and job's. Let's just say for booking our 23 wedding anniversary at this place and the owner repling to my wife's email for reservation. Your name here sir _________ I would not do that no one even knew why we were there. And it wasen't for us to let anyone know. I will not be back.

We don’t come to Moncton often but sometime in the spring, we did a quick google search and found gustos near by so we decided to give it a try. Our first time going we absolutely loved it, the service was amazing, the food was some of the best we’ve had. We talked about it for weeks and talked it up to every one we know. A couple months went by and we went back, very excited to eat there again. When we arrived the experience wasn’t half of what we got the first time. We were quite disappointed but after reaching out to the restaurant we were given a deep apology for the service we received and our issue was quickly addressed. We still love their food and intend to go back

Went for lunch. Very elegant decor. Service was great and their lunch menu is a three course meal for 13.99. definitely worth every penny. I had the brushcetta, ceasar salad and chicken parmesan. It was delicious. I also tried their seafood Mac and cheese and that was great as well. Will be back for sure. Great place for a romantic night out too. I did also try their ferrero rocher dessert and that was good as well.

My wife and I were really looking forward to eating here, but it unfortunately was not the experience we were hoping for. Service was slow, and we had three errors with our order: we asked for lobster with our pasta, and the server asked if we wanted it in the pasta or on the side. We said on the side, but it came in the pasta. We ordered the tuscan harvest salad and asked for no goat cheese. It came with goat cheese. Finally, we asked for the gluten free cheesecake that everyone raves about, and instead we were served the gf/df chocolate cake. Just too many errors on top of slow service in order to justify a good review. Update to include that management took the time to connect with me afterwards to rectify the issue, and apologize for the negative experience. I appreciate the gesture and will give the restaurant a 2nd chance.

We went here for our wedding party and they went above and beyond. They put us in this gorgeous themed room that was quiet and private for our party. The service and food was amazing! We wanted for nothing. I would definitely recommend them for a romantic dinner or a large celebration. Noteworthy is the menu, drink menu particularly the cocktails as well as their amazing selection of desserts. It was our special day and we're very glad we chose to have our small dinner party of eight at Gusto. A cool feature to note is the bread they bring to the table. They bring fresh herbs and oil to place on your bread. A cool fancy touch to top things off.

Service is a 1 out of 10 Food is a 5 out of 10 Value for money is a 2 out of 10 Ordered two of the regular pizza it's costing about 22.50 a piece. salad which was $10 and a cake which is around $8. The water was tap water and had a very bad taste. You had to ask for water because the waiter forgot to give it to you. Ordered with the waiter who never returned to ask if your food was okay. The waiter that we had actually changed to another person and said they're ordering our dessert for us and it never showed up we waited 15 minutes. We had to ask someone else for the desert and they brought it to us relatively quickly but we had no utensils to eat our dessert so I suppose we eat with our fingers. The portions of toppings on the pizza for the gusto works is very little. But the taste is relative to Italian taste. They have a very nice atmosphere and its clean it's a great place to have a beer and some entrees I'm sure but for value-for-money there are a lot better places to go. Total cost for 2 was $70

The service was excellent. The greetkg was warm, and fast, we were able to swiftly get seated ( tuesday 7pm) Wait staff were very knowledgeable, and worked together for answers I found . ( Billy was our waiter) the appetizers were appealing , a decent variety for vegetarian and meat lovers. Pricing was reasonable. They had a good plus selection of alcoholic beverages. Food selection was not very wide, as the menu was a one pager including apps, however, we were all satisfied with this. Good interaction with wait staff, timed well. Friendly and efficient. Pricing was reasonable and competitive based on genre . I will come again.

Lovely atmosphere, despite being a little crowded and noisy; but what can you expect from a quality restaurant with good food at a fair price? Seeing the open kitchen, complete with a copper pizza oven, makes it worth dining at Gusto on its own. The wine menu was well done, including popular yet quality glasses. The herb mix served with the complimentary baguette was one to return for. The veal was cooked perfectly medium rare, for being done on a grill. The grilled potatoes however, were not cooked well enough to match the rest of the meal. Overall, Gusto is a place I will return to and recommend to anyone in the area.

Food was great and portions very generous. Would have been a four or five star rating if not for the service. Maybe I'm spoiled but I like to be checked on at least once and offered a drink refill and parmesan cheese. Dumping the plates never to return isn't cool. Watching the long haired bearded guy with the green headband (not a hair net) wiping his forehead with his hands and tossing pizzas wasn't very appetizing but maybe that was the secret ingredient lol. Although the stairs are tough for some the place has a great look and style. Sadly the poor service has turned me off from going back.

Went there for our birthday. Loved....really loved the food. We had a free piece of cake me and my twin this however did not happen the next year. It was good, but the tiramisu my sister ordered was boosy, light and delicious. Waitress was funny and efficient the first time and the second time not at all. The food however was delicious both times we went for our birthday.

I banned this place from my list of restaurants I go to in Moncton but recently got taken out there and service and food were better than I had remembered so I figured I would give it another shot. I took my wife there last night for our first date night in many months. The service was absolutely garbage. We were seated and waited about 12 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us or said hi. My wife is 8 months pregnant and really needed a glass of water. When our server finally came over it was "What can I get for you?" No introduction, no asking us how we were doing etc. I get that they are busy but that doesn't excuse buddy from his poor performance as a waiter. (Server was taller, bald, heavier set. Didn't get his name....probably because he didn't introduce himself). My wife had to ask if they had a special as it was not presented to us up front. I am always big on tipping but this was the first time in my life I tipped less than 15%, I wanted to not tip at all but I guess I'm too nice. My wife and I get so few date nights that we were really looking forward to last night. Our server and overall experience ruined the night for us and we left extremely disappointed. Service was slow (which is the usual all the other times I've been there) and the food is mediocre at best (again, the usual). People rave about the food but its just ok. Their parm chicken bite appetizer is exceptional admittedly, but everything else is underwhelming. Not to sound pretentious but I've ate all over the world, michelin restaurants included and Gusto would never stack up to even a 2 star spot. I think people rate it highly because Moncton is such a small city, options are limited. But I'd take the Keg, St Games gate, brume de coude or Osaka any day of the week over this place. The above were the reasons it was on my ban list and I regret giving this place another shot. I'm 29, with a lot of years ahead of me to dine in Moncton and spend $150 on dinner for 2, I won't be back here to do so. Staying on the ban list for good.

We called this restaurant before we left to see if they had open tables, and they said they could fit us right in. As soon as we walked in they looked us up and down and because we had kids with us told us that they would not have a table for 45 minutes. Totally lost respect for this restaurant and we'll never be returning, and we'll also be telling everyone I know the same.
