I’ve been to Clos probably four or five times for the tasting menu. Each time the food is very mediocre. I’m not exactly sure where their inspiration comes from, but most of the time, the mixture of certain flavors cancels each other out or makes the taste not as great as others. The atmosphere is not as laid back as other restaurants that offer the tasting menu experience. However, their cocktails are delicious, so if you wanted a higher-end environment to go for drinks, Clos is another option to the Third Glass. I’m not sure if it is because the owner has too many businesses to focus on what Clos is trying to accomplish, but I have had much better food at other places. I regularly go to fine dining restaurants, and there are better options like Black Rabbit or Les Brumes Du Coude if you want great food.

Quick review: Overpriced for unremarkable food, won't go back and wouldn't recommend. Details: Good: Appetizers, cocktails and desserts. Bad: Main dishes and wine. They serve small portions, as you'd expect from a gourmet resto, but the dishes weren't gourmet at all, so in the end small portions that leave you hungry and not worth the price. I had the steak and it was hard and tasteless. My other friends were all unsatisfied with their main dishes. I'm not picky with food and rarely write bad reviews but this one I could'nt pass. The top of the unsatisfactory experience came when I ordered some white wine, which was extremely sour, impossible to drink (I've never returned a wine before), the server (bar manager) said "I'm gonna try it"...wt...k, you don't say that to a client in a respected establishment, then he comes back and tells me in front of my friends "it tastes as it is supossed to", so now for a second time he questions a client, then he allows me to change it for something else, so I went for a cocktail. One of my friends was unhappy with her Chardonnay as well, so...I don't recommend the wines based on our experience. In conclusion: It's expensive, the food isn't good, I find much better food at their other more relaxed resto Euston park, you can instead go and have a 300% better experience at other places for the same price, like Les brumes du coude or L'Atelier Tony or Gusto.

Got their Dumpling burger for takeout as dine in was closed due to Moncton being in red zone. The burger is part of the Flip Burgerfest. The salad tasted really good and mixed really well. The burger was tasty and had a slight sweetness to it. Chips was a tad oily but included some tasty sauce and I managed to finish it. Looking forward coming back here once dine in is available again.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Sampled their lunch menu, will be back for supper. Happy to have this addition to Moncton‘s growing culinary scene.

Great resto. Nice to have this food experience in Moncton. Food was delicious and high quality, we were two people and did the "taste the menu" option. Was 11 different courses. Only thing preventing me from 5 stars is the price. By the time you add drinks and tip you're paying roughly $150 per person if you do the full experience. If you go for a main dish it's about half of that. Also found the menu slightly beef heavy, would prefer meat substitutions but they change their menu every 6 weeks for variety. Overall great experience, just very expensive.

Had a custom hamburger during Moncton's hamburger festival in January, 2020 - first time at this restaurant. Arrived for lunch around 11:45 - no crowds and the choice of any table we wanted. Decor is pleasant and looks well maintained with the tables not crowded. Service was quick with no complaints. The hamburger was average - nothing made it stand out. It came with thick potato wedges that appeared oven roasted, which my companion didn't enjoy because they were too thick for his liking. I'd go again but it currently isn't on my "must visit again" list.

It was so refreshing to find a restaurant that is pushing the boundaries of what has been “expected” in the Moncton area. I started by sampling the cocktail menu and was impressed by the complex flavours and flavour blends — and there was something for everyone’s taste in our group. As an appetizer I ordered the fois gros and bread and I am not shy to say it was amazing. There was beet pulp, pomegranate syrup, and toasted buckwheat with the fois gros that made it irresistible. My only request would be to pair it with some crackers or crostini’s to complete the dish — the bread wasn’t my favourite pairing. My main dish was the scallop lasagna which was amazing. The fried bone marrow was the perfect flavour to drizzle over the dish, and the homemade pasta was delicious. If there was anything to improve on for this dish it was the thickness of the homemade pasta rounds; however, I would highly recommend this dish regardless. For dessert I shared both the pumpkin dessert and the blueberry dessert. WOW. I enjoyed both so much — a perfect end to the meal. For imagination of menu and taste of food, I would give this menu a 3.5-4/5. The missing points were for a lack of vegetarian options. Restaurants need to know the vegetarians also enjoy having more than one selection and something that is served warm. For atmosphere and service, a solid 5/5. Really looking forward to my next visit to try the tasting menu!!

First time dining at this restaurant was a pleasure. My wife and I both ordered the 7 plate Tasting Menu and were very impressed with the food & service. Every item was original and flavorful. Looking forward to eating here next time we visit Moncton!

One of the best, if not the best table I experienced in North America. The menu is creative, well balanced and perfectly executed. Cherry on top, the wine pairing is exquisite. Honestly, it’s worth the trip to Moncton just to eat there. Congrats the the chef and the staff.

Had a fantastic brunch at Clos this past Sunday- delicious cocktails and warm service as well. The brunch poutine pasta was the biggest hit but every dish was great. We can't wait to make it in for dinner!

3 Words: Grilled Bread Bar! Choose your bread, choose your smear (I know, unappealing word, but it's great: garlic butter, pesto, aioli, etc, then grill away). Top quality, gourmet food, personal atmosphere. One of the best places for pasta in Moncton. Quite pricey.

Amazing tasting menu full of innovative dishes, local products and a great knowledgeable service! One of the best in the Maritimes, highly recommended!

They where amazing. We booked a table and ended up late.we had a family member pass away. We where not sure about going out. Feeling a bit guilty. Our waiter was friendly smiling and joking around with us. The food was amazing. We ordered the small bites with the wine sampling. We tasted every thing on the menu. It is # 1 on my favorite places to dine .

It was an excellent gastro dining experience. We enjoyed the tasting menu with the wine pairings. Justin was a fantastic server. Each plate was meticulously prepared. The tastes were amazing. While the portions were small, I wouldn't change a thing. Our party of 4 really enjoyed the whole experience.

(Translated) Super good restaurant. We ate very well (special menu for Valentine's Day). Some of the ingredients were local so that's a bonus. The staff were very welcoming. I recommand it! (Original) Super bon restaurant. On a très bien mangé (menu spécial pour la Saint-Valentin). Certains des ingrédients étaient locaux alors c'est un plus. Le personnel était très accueillant. Je le recommande!

New chef since Feb 2021... The tasting menu is ok, but a few items that are lacking in regards to expectations from a very hyped up restaurant. Positive notes: the Halibut Cheek and the Lamb dish are delicious. Our server lacked in refinement from “haute cuisine”...describing certain items on the menu as basic, as well as som of the wines in the pairing o_O Also, don’t order the Meiomi Pinot Noir, such a disappointment. Terrible wine.

Benoit Croteau

Great food and good wine choices, but need to work on the pairing aspect of the chef experience. Service is also great. Place to go when in Moncton
