I find it's kind of hit and miss when it comes to the steak. Seems to be more on the miss side...The side, a simple potato they put on your plate and drowned in sour cream. The cheese bread is "extremely" greasy...Even though I'm just a customer, I noticed the work environment was a little toxic. The steak usually has about 80% fat on it...so you really only get about 3 ounces of edible meat. Observed some of the servers scolding the help, and this frustration is passed on to the customers. In other words, it's not a warm and friendly environment....The salad is ok, but, again, hit and miss. Overall, I'm not sure if I'll go back there again.

From beginning to end this we had an awful experience. We made a reservation weeks in advance and they still made us wait from 7:45 to 8:15. Once seated it took 15 min for them to take our order. We ordered. Our meal came with sides such as a garden or Ceasar salad, vegetables and a baked potato. We ate. When we received our bill we were charged 12.99x2 for the Ceasar salads we ordered that were suppose to come with the meal. There was no mention when we ordered with the waitor or in the menu that there would be an extra charge. The waitor made a scene arguing with us that he did in fact tell us. We told him to please discuss this with the manager because an extra charge was never mentioned. They revised the bill and he came back still arguing with us. As we were leaving the waitor was by the exit talking about us with other customers which was very disrespectful. I would not recommend coming here.

I've been going here for a long time, but not recently because of CoVid. Went a few weeks ago and can honestly say it's probably the best restaurant you can go to. I've been to typical steak houses and Michelene restaurants, and can honestly say that nothing compares to the size of the portions, taste, and service. If you like seafood, the platter is absolutely unreal. No way two people can eat it. I've read reviews where people say "it's too dark, the portions are too big" blah blah. Screw them, the whiners. It's an OLD SCHOOL great dining experience where the owner meets you at the door,and the staff make your salad AT YOUR TABLE. Yes,its a bit spendy, but worth it. If you Don't like great food and great service, then go to the Keg. Maybe they will write your name on the paper table cloth.

Recently had dinner there with a group of friends. There was a bit of wait but that was understandable. The service was wonderful. The waiter who served our table was very knowledgeable about wines and chose a wine that my husband and I will purchase for ourselves.. The staff was friendly and pleasant. Loved the warm atmosphere. Best of all was the food. The food came to the table very hot. Was delicious with generous portions. I look forward to eating there again

Zorro's is the perfect place for a special event. I have been to this resturant since I was a child and nothing has changed. The restaurants decor is classic and romantic. The servers are sharply dressed and pay such close attention to your needs, it almost seems like they are there to only serve you. I do understand the price is a tad high but once you receive your steak you'll understand why, full of flavour. Table side caesar salad made the authentic way ( hold off on kissing afterwards ). Finish off your meal with a rich dessert and blueberry tea, I am sure you can find room. Filling meal and an experience that many other restaurants have let die.

This place is good...could be better? I can’t quite put my finger on the steaks? They’re good, but a bit on the dry pasty side...not quite on par with the NY steak house...but prices are good and food is mostly excellent. Staff is generally friendly and attentive! I will make another trip here and see if they will serve me a steak that shows me meat not dry meat...more to come!

Zorros is back! Had a couple of meals here since phase three and the food and service are as good as ever! Looking forward to many more meals here! Original review This place has a very nice ambiance and upscale feel. The food is excellent and the portions are good. I highly recommend the NY Pepper steak with a blue cheese salad.

I was not impressed with the service of the waiters. They were rude and very condescending. The food was very very average — the “house” dressing was watery, the garlic bread was drenched in butter and reeking of very strong garlic and the salad was not cut up properly. We were hoping that the main steak redeemed our dinner but it did not. It was TASTELESS; it was cooked well, however. Thank god for the salt shaker that was left on the table. And be warned: THIS PLACE DOES NOT HAVE MASHED POTATOES (perhaps not a trend in 1975?) and the vegetables were reminiscent of boiled soggy hospital carrots and broccoli. I wouldn’t spend my money here ever again.

My favourite steakhouse bar none. The food was phenomenal and the service even better. We had the pettit filet mignon and the steak neptune which if not for the capacity of our stomachs I would eat non stop. Not only are their steaks cooked to perfection, their appetizers like the oysters rockafeller are stars in their own right. The atmosphere was very elegant and jovial, I did not want to leave. Perfect for special occasions.

We had lots of left overs that the kids enjoyed :) Only suggestion to others if planning a romantic night is when you make reservations ask for the 2 people tables as those are more out of the way and in my eyes more romantic when we went we were seated at a four person table kinda in the middle of everything but besides that everything was great !!!

Took my parents to try Zorro's for the first time because we got a gift certificate from a friend of ours. Atmosphere was quite decent, definitely gives you a 70-80s vibe which my dad really enjoyed. When we've arrived at 6:15pm on the dot (our reservation time) we were told to wait 5 minutes because they had to clean up the tables. No biggie. We first sat down and was recommended to try the prime rib from the waiter which was very nice of him to suggest that. 2 minutes later the waiter comes back again and my mom didn't even know what she wanted yet (keep in mind I had to translate the menu in our own language). We've felt extremely rush and dedicated to all get the rib steak. When the steaks came in they were huge except that they were very charred and burnt on the outside. My mom got her steak cooked to medium well and the outer layer was very burnt. She has a phobia of eating burnt food because of the fear of acrylamide, a cancer causing molecule that forms when cooked in high temperatures. My dad got his steak cooked to medium and his was burnt as well. We've raised this to the waiter and he said that it was cooked on charcoal and not in an oven in a passive aggressive tone then walked away. The taste of the skin shouldn't taste bitter to the point where it is unenjoyable. I was also very shocked at the fact that there was no mash potatoes but rather baked potatoes which were decent. When we left Zorro's you can hear the waiter talking ish behind our backs in their native language (I think it was Italian). I would not recommend this place to anyone, you'd probably be better off to The Keg instead.

A lot of the time you'll come here and see business meetings, but don't let that deter you. The prime rib is amazing and HUGE and the table side caesar salad is the best (if you like garlic)

Made a reservation here for a surprise birthday dinner. Requested a table of 15 for 7:30pm (the phone call on it’s own was not pleasant). They refused to sit the first 13 until EVERYONE was there. Which for a surprise birthday dinner just did not make sense. When we finally got to the table and sat they made us rearrange based on the billing to make it easier for them. The staff throughout the night was very rude! We had a late additional to our dinner and they were very upset and refused to make seating so we moved our chairs over and made the space, they just needed to bring the chair, plates and cutlery. But they just threw everything on the table and added in the chair. If I could have excluded gratitude this would be the time to have done it! Horrible service on everyone that worked here.

With so many other places to get a steak I hadn't been to Zorro's since New Year's Eve over 25 years ago. But then I noticed $100 gift certificates available at Costco for $80 and that triggered new interest. I did find it curious to see since it's not uncommon for failing restaurants to attempt Groupon and Entertainment offers as a desperate effort to survive. Nevertheless, my brothers and I had started a new tradition last year of two of us treating the third to an expensive birthday dinner, so for my turn it was Zorro's. The food was about even with most other high-end steakhouses which is to say it was good (which for the high price should be expected) but not necessarily unforgettable. What WAS unforgettable, however, was the incredible and incredulous treatment by ownership on a subsequent visit when presenting "a coupon." Firstly, the Costco offer seemingly had done for the restaurant exactly what was intended. I hadn't been to Zorro's in a quarter century and was back with plans to return for all of our brothers' dinners. One of my brothers had now booked a party there with over 20 people, and my other brother was having a family dinner there all based on the fact that Costco sold gift certificates for Zorro's. That's when it all fell apart. Zorro's accepted a request to substitute two steaks as part of a Zorro's platter for two and the sides of the platter for a small pasta dish for a 3-year old for a "small up charge" which we are all accustomed to and of course agreed. When my brother received the bill it vaguely indicated "open food" for various items in the amount of $9, $19 and $50. When my brother asked for clarification, the waiter contacted the owner's son who came over and with immediate hostility proclaimed that he wouldn't negotiate the bill with people who use coupons! Excuse me??? Suffice it to say that a situation arising from a casual, not at all uncommon, and quite reasonable inquiry about the bill became an attack on the customer before the question could even be asked. And all for purchasing “coupons” - the exact items Zorro's had chosen to make available at Costco, ironically assuring returning and repeat business. Well that came to an end when the confrontation which started with the grotesquely offensive behavior of Zorro's management remarkably escalated even further. The owner eventually arrived claiming that they "lose money when people use the coupons" to which my brother suggested that if they don't want people using gift certificates then they shouldn't sell them! To his credit, my brother maintained his decorum and paid the full amount of the bill despite his being well within his right to go toe to toe with the owner's son after being publicly and loudly humiliated by him in the middle of the restaurant for being one of THEM who use "coupons." Our next brothers' dinner was just a week later... at La Castile. The 20+ person function was cancelled and moved elsewhere. In un-booking these reservations, Zorro's management was completely without remorse acting with the arrogance that they don't need business from those with "coupons." All in all, Zorro's is an overpriced steakhouse with average food. It's as good a "special occasion" venue as any number of other places in the city. But they made it abundantly evident to us that not only do they not value customers, but they aren't beyond shaming them in public for merely buying the very gift certificates they choose to make available for sale. Any business like that simply does NOT deserve your patronage.

Not sure where to start from. One of the worst service ever, seems like all the employees are in a rush and do not even listen to us properly, ordered well done steaks and that’s what we got, nobody asked us if we need something or if the food is okay. Never going back again and wouldn’t recommend anyone to waste their money and time in this unwelcoming environment. Very disappointed!!!!

I've heard about Zorro's for decades. Family would talk about it, friends parents as well so I had to finally experience for myself. My husband and I split the platter for 2 and it was more than enough food for 3 people!! The seafood was so fresh and tasteful, the filet mignon cooked to perfection and the service was nothing shy of delightful!! John provided wonderful table service and was well know by many regulars came in throughout the evening with kind greetings from those coming and going. We'll definitely be back again!

We celebrate here every opportunity! Our favourite menu items are their caesar salad followed with the surf + turf platter for two. Very generous servings! Their dill pickles are a pregnant-woman’s dream and the garlic-soaked bread is seriously delicious. We were just here this past weekend and already can’t wait for our next visit! The grilled rib steak and fillet magnon we ordered were burnt black and bitter. You can't see any grilled mark, but only black mess . It's a shame for such a high end restaurant to serve such badly cooked food to customers. When questioned, they only offered to cut off the burnt top layer of the steak. So cheap and low standard!

I've been here several times over many years. The food is very good, 5 star, but the service is starting to get sloppy. Their new waiters need to brush up on their serving etiquette. The waiter reached across me, putting his arm in my face, to serve the person next to me when he should served that person on their left. The servers talked loudly to each other - one scolding the other. I bring clients and family here because I expect top notch service but sadly their service has become lazy.

The menu is misleading, they list a “New York SIRLOIN” which I don’t believe exists, so people assume it’s a New York Striploin like they’re used to, when actually they are serving a cheaper cut. asked the server to clarify: is it a striploin or sirloin? He danced around it and said I quote, “ yes New York, it has the fat around it, all the New York’s on the menu are the same. “ my wife ordered the “New York Sirloin” and I ordered the “ New York strip steak” I asked if this is a New York Striploin? He said yes it is. Both steaks were sirloin and they were tough. If you’ve ever worked in a butcher shop or you really know your meat, you can tell the difference. If you don’t know any better you might think it’s just a slightly tougher striploin. Anyhow, I felt deceived and won’t go there again. The steak wasn’t what I paid for.

Around since 1975 and I have been going here on and off since 1987. Great steaks with excellent service. Meno and John always welcoming. I have been here on nights (weekends and nye) when they are at capacity and the service and quality of food does not drop off.. go for table side Caesar salad.. very large portions so it is bang for $. Will continue to return as long as they r in business.

Like all the reviews said its a nice fine dining place and the prices reflect that. My wife and I went there for a late lunch around 3 PM and the place was empty (expectedly!). The only problem was that we seem to be more of a bother to the server than be treated like a customer paying top dollars. It was almost like that he had made up his mind about us somehow. The steak was good and juicy and done perfectly. Wife's salmon was good too. Portions are reasonably good. Overall a good food but not the best experience we were expecting!

Went here Christmas Eve for an extended family dinner. It was full but not overbooked so we were escorted directly to our table at our reserved time. Overall, the service was what should be expected of a higher end steakhouse; professional with a friendly tone, readily available and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was pleasant although more noisy than usual. This wasnt so much to be faulted for a holiday evening. The complimentary pickles, olives and bread were good. We shared some raw oysters and cooked escargo. Both were enjoyable.They were already out of the prime rib at 6pm which was disappointing. I ordered the ribeye steak, and other party members had a filet newburg and another had a peppercorn striploin. My steak was properly cooked to my request and a good steak. The sides were steamed green beans and a baked potato. Neither was anything special. Reportedly, the fiket was overcooked and a little chewy but the striploin was good. I had a cappuccino which was excellent. Overall, I think this was a good place but not what it used to be. Given the noisy environment, the lack of some items and good but not great taste, I have to say with some saddness, that the Keg would have been a better meal, slightly less experienced service and much less expensive.

Great steakhouse. Their decor is very dated (70s Mediterranean), but have never had a meal less than excellent. Their complimentary garlic bread is the best you'll find anywhere. It's not cheap but very reasonable for what you get, especially compared to any comparable high end steakhouse. Highly recommend.

Zorro’s isn’t just a place for steak lovers, they have got some great seafood here as well! For those who enjoy both, you can’t go wrong with the Zorro’s platter for two - with king crab, lobster, scallops, giant shrimp, filet mignon and ribs! The prime rib here is excellent as well and everything from seafood to steaks is cooked to perfection, with attentive service as well. Out And About

This place is an absolute must for Valentine's Day or any special occasion the prime rib or Zorros Cut is highly recommended. This place is old school and very charming but they'll let anyone in these days. So you'd better visit soon before the middle/lower class Brampton crowd starts coming in here with their baseball hats and running shoes and baggy pants.

Went for a Mother's Day dinner (9 people total). Most of us ordered steak, but how disappointing. They don't have any seasoning or flavor. It's basically charcoal black on top and nothing more than that. 2 of the steaks (rare) we're cold inside. We mentioned it to them and they asked if we want it cooked longer. Rare steak should be made correctly the first time not recooked. They ended up being more medium rare after. The hollandaise sauce on the broccoli was terrible and the carrots were not even cooked. The waiter passed us our food from across the table saying "here" instead of placing it on the table in front of us. If you are thinking about bringing an infant who requires a high chair, forget it as they don't have high chairs. Overall the service was terrible, staff were very rude and the food quality was poor for the price you pay. Will not be returning.

The decor is dated but pleasant. Service was attentive and prompt. The steaks were generous portions, consistent with the caliber of comparable restaurants at this price point. The main factor that detracted from the experience was my steak was more charred than I had expected, in addition to being a little under seasoned. I understand that these are all points the are subjective, however other steaks I’ve had from different restaurants (medium rare) has not been so “blackened”. What an amazing experience!! My wife and I came here tonight for our anniversary and it definitely did not disappoint. From when we entered until it was time to go, we were met with extraordinary and attentive service. The food was absolutely spot on and delicious. We started with the bacon wrapped scallops, which were cooked beautifully. For our mains, we had the filet mignon as well as the steak with lobster tail. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, to their requested temperatures and the lobster tail was very succulent (and pretty big to boot). Finishing off with a pecan pie and creme caramel for dessert was a very nice way to end the night. Would definitely go back again!!

The food is absolutely delicious, we order the salmon and it is always cooked to perfection. I visited Zorro's for my birthday on January 23, 2020. I eat at restaurants very often. This place is very expensive with terrible food. I ordered halibut that was very chewy and tasted like it had been boiled. My husband's peppercorn steak tasted burnt. The food had no flavor. The servers were not friendly and they were very slow. For an average of $50 a plate, I expected flavorful food and that was not the case. You can get better food at any other restaurant in Mississauga. Save your money.

I went there Saturday night for my wife's grandparents 65th wedding anniversary. We were seated 15 minutes late (not a big deal ) as the restaurant was busy. The reason i gave it a 3 star was because our waiter was rude and as old as the decor in the place. He rushed us when ordering and rolled his eyes as we tried to make healthy substitutions. All the other waiters and bus boys were very helpful.. I think we got the one bad apple in the place. The food however was very good. I had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and equally tasty. The garlic bread was also delicious. My salad however came with a pool of dressing on it (even though i asked for it on the side). I would go back but make sure i got one of the other waiters. The decor definitely could use some updating but i guess some people like the old school style.

Horrible experience. I'LL never go back! Arrive for my reservation at 8pm and the lady kept saying to me and all the other people that the wait time is 15mins. We waited over an hour. When we were sitter, the waiter was pushy. He was telling us what to order. I had asked for my salad dressing on the side and he said no you'll like it with it on it. But the table next to me was able to order it on the side. I asked for the appetizer of salmon and got the entree of it. My wife order the steak and it was under cooked. We asked for the our vegetables or sides to go. When I asked for a drink list, the waiter said they only have wine. After asking another waiting I soon realized that they have beer and whiskey etc. ... I'm very dissapointed in this place. Horrible service, pushy waiters, and won't give you'really food to go. The salmon could have been better seasoned. Steak was under cooked. Shrimps were over cooked. Overall poor food and poor service!

First off id like to say the servers are exceptional and extremely friendly and professional. 2nd their steaks for among the best I've had in my 3 decades of life. I ordered the rib steak medium rare. The steak was HUGE and was cooked perfectly I've never had a steak so juicy yet so flavorful.. every bite was luscious and delicious. The only reason why I'm not giving this a 5 star is because we ordered the tiger shrimp cocktail thinking it would be worth the 31$ price tag. However when it came out it was simply 4 large cold shrimps with cocktail sauce.. absolutely disappointed by this dish and to be quite Frank if I was the onwer I would remove this dish as it takes away from the great reputation this restaurant has built over the years.

Our first visit to Zorro’s was like stepping back in time, but in a good way. The ambience of the restaurant reminds me of dining that I used to do in the 70/80’s. Our coats were checked at the door, and from the moment we entered the dining area, we were very well attended. All the servers were well dressed older men who, throughout the evening, made sure we were missing nothing at our table. My buddy and I shared the scallops. They were some of the best that I have had. My meal was the Pepper Steak. The serving size was ample and the quality excellent. I would certainly recommend this establishment for a filling and satisfying dinner. Oh, and there are gumdrops at the door when you are leaving!

I ordered fettucini with shrimp and scallops it was good not great. I also ordered salad with house dressing, I feel that fell short, it was a bit of radicchio and iceberg lettuce. I also ordered a glass of white wine and I got a rose' Overal for an upscale restaurant they could have better veriety of lettuce ex,baby salad greens mix or frisee salad not be hort of prime rib since they are a steakhouse. I also want to add the coffee tasted like vending machines, I did enquire if the manually made coffee or was it push a button. Our total cost for 2 including tip was $140 seams high end but flavours are not.

I made a reservation to celebrate my wife's birthday and obviously my name and phone number was given. I turned up to Zorro's for the dinner reservation I had made only to see a notice on the door that they were closed by the city due to a broken water main. They didn't have the common courtesy to call and let their customers know what the problem was. There were other people outside wondering the same thing that I was. I can't rate the food quality but their customers service leave a lot to be desired.

Came here for my friend's birthday, group of 7. Awesome food, awesome service, they kept checking on us during dinner service about water + the food, etc. My friend ordered the Seafood Platter, which was amazing, he couldn't even finish it, as the portion servings were big. I have the steak and scallops and the scallops were big and bountiful. My other friends ordered the prime rib, all of which they had to pack home to go, as the portion was big, but the quality of the meats were amazing. Love the free bread and salad at the start too. I recommend making reservations especially on weekends. It gets packed. Also the jumbo shrimp cocktail is amazing too, huge shrimps!

Price at in the $40 and up range. The decor is what I would say has a "Spanish castle" feel with stained glass. The room is lit well enough to were I can see my food but not too bright to ruin the atmosphere. The chairs a bit uncomfortable but I believe it is because they are straight upright for good posture. The portions are large. I had the lamb which as cooked just right but I felt like need more flavor. It is a great place to go to have dinner or lunch for business or with family.

Once through the second doors, check in for your reservation and take a seat in the lounge on one of the wingback or club chairs. You will soon be escorted to your table adored with a glowing candlelit table lamp and white linens. Please note all the servers and bussers in their waistcoats. Are you comfortable? Then let's begin. With your glass of house red comes the tray of olives, pickle slices and butter balls for the toasted garlic bread. I think I've set the stage. Try it all. The oysters Rockefeller, fillet mignon, roast beef with all the trimmings, baked potatoes with a healthy serving of sour cream. Once you go you'll definitely come back. Bon appétit!

Nice place and I'm liking the decor...I somewhat felt I should have been dressed more formal but what the heck...classy casual it is. The ambiance somewhat feels just like my all-time fav steakhouse in North America (Kissimmee Florida to be exact). Just looking at the menu, I could just load up on appetizers ranging from jumbo shrimp cocktail, oysters, escargot, to smoked salmon and broiled scallops. Wow! Or even sample the French Onion Soup or Boston Clam Chowder. Accompaniments available include fresh mushrooms, asparagus spears, steak cut onion rings or garlic cheese bread. Tonight, we’ve selected the $104.95 Chateaubriand (24oz. Filet Mignonette for two people sliced at our table). The meal comes with garlic bread, green salad & dressing, baked potato, french fries or rice and all garnishes. The presentation was excellent. Service was top notch. The bill for Nephew and I was pricey but I love this kid! Good thing he doesn't drop in too often....

This Loblaws has a lot of ice cream to offer! I got my kitkat ice cream when I went there last. Often I find this Loblaws has the newest flavours of ice creams and they also have different brands that I can’t readily find at other supermarkets! Try the newest flavour - Kit Kat matcha flavoured ice cream. The Kit Kat flavour also has espresso and salted caramel ice creams too! I can’t wait to go back to see what other ice creams there are that they can offer.

My water glass and my wine glass were never empty despite being drank from frequently. Waiters were classy, attentive and had great suggestions when asked. Food was great. Nothing wrong with the food. However the service was the absolute worst I've experienced in all my days at a restaurant. For a party of 9 (not that big) We had like 4 or 5 servers constantly asking what item was going on "whos" bill. Maybe 15+ times, Even if it was just one or two people getting a drink the server interrupted all of us to see what bill it goes on. Coffee, beer, tea you name it! We started to text each other at the table and joked around about it. "Pass me the salt" "Who's bill am I putting this on?" Essentially We were celebrating a birthday and it was super painful. There's a few details I'm deciding to leave out because I'm being very blunt with the review already but I guess the highlight was by the time we got out bills, everything printed on them was still wrong. Took us a very long public 29 minutes to resolve the corrections of what goes on each persons bill. Needles to say we pretty much all knew who was paying what, but my biggest problem is how to you mess this up so bad? It was like 4 bills in total. Go to La Castile if you want the best of both worlds. It has the same vibe (but much better and more beautiful because of the castle setting), food is incredible and most importantly has great service you'd expect for the premium dollar. I think might be the same owner of both restaurants...

For a steakhouse of this price point I was very unimpressed. The steak was bland and charred to black on the outside. All the vegetable came out cold and equally as flavourless. I won't be returning, to many better options available in the city.

Came here on a Sunday night with a few friends who recommended this steak house to my husband and I. We had a great time and the food was nothing short of amazing, as was the service. The servers were very polite and attentive. My husband and I ordered the Zorro’s cut Prime Rib to share and it was perfect! It comes with a side of salad and a side of fries/rice or a baked potato. The Zorro cut is 32oz - Huge! It was cooked to perfection and was juicy and delicious! The au jus was flavourful and the horseradish was legit! I usually find that au jus at other places are bland or too salty, but not here! We definitely would return again and perhaps try something else to explore the menu but you certainly can’t go wrong with their prime rib!

We go to Zorro's every year for our anniversary. We missed out on going last year because of shutdowns, but it was so nice to be back this year. The food and service were incredible as always. And this year we were seated in front of the fireplace, which added a nice romantic feel to our meal.

First time here and came during lunchtime. Service is old school awesome. Apparently they have been open and still family owned since 1975. I think 1975 was frozen in time (as you walk in) Ordered the steak Neptune and wasn’t disappointed. Also had the scallops wrapped in bacon as an app and was delicious. Two bottles of champagne didn’t hurt. I was able to try a few bites of the lobster tail dinner and it was tasty. Free garlic bread was better than red lobster bread. Only negative was the escargot - bit grainy. I’d come back. Update: went again last Sunday and ordered the Zorro Plater. Wow - worth the $170. Two Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon, two lobster tails, two giant fist size prawns, rack of ribs, maybe a dozen large sweet scallops and the best Alaskan king crab I’ve had in a while (def never frozen). The seafood linguine needed something more tho... either some parmigiana or a lot of pepper flakes or chili oil..

Be aware that you get garlic bread plus salad plus steamed vegetables PLUS your choice of side with the entree - that's a lot of food. Unfortunately, our steaks were disappointing, especially given the price. They were cooked perfectly but they had a strong charred flavour and not flavourful otherwise. Seafood was good though. Bacon wrapped scallops were yummy and the crab on my Steak Neptune was good. Stick to the seafood on the menu and come hungry.

Rip-off!! How this got a 4.7 on Open Table is beyond me!! It is a depressing looking as well as poor food quality restaurant. Outside entrance is ugly with cigarette butts in a planter and a dirty outdoor carpet. Indoor not much better and sooooi expensive!!

Went here for my two year anniversary. It's a dated fine dining restaurant, but don't let that fool you. It's charming and the service is excellent. I dressed with black pants and a button dress shirt, although some people came in with flip flops and t-shirts. The wait staff are all in nice suites. Ordered the rib steak and the shrimp app. It was slightly undercooked med rare, but excellent. The portions were generous. The wife got a strip loin with scallops. They were spot on. It's a classy place.

We had reservations which I confirmed a half hour before arrival. However upon arrival we were told to wait a few minutes. 20 minutes later we were told there were still 2 couples ahead of us. They need to manage their reservations better. Luckily I had made backup reservations at the Keg who were right on time. Would not come back here.

Food was excellent. My drink was made to perfection. I didn't like that the bartender took away my drink glad after dinner without asking if I wanted another because I would have. The waiter was also kind of abrupt when asking about dessert. It was awkward. I also felt a bit rushed. Regardless of the shortcomings, I would go there go there.

Went to Zorro's as first time customers based off the reviews, and boy are they misleading. Dining out is an experience, it begins the moment you step through the door, otherwise you would be happy with a drive-thru (no shade to drive-thru's). This place is known for their steak which was the only thing that was "just okay" (ordered the Zorro's cut and a NY strip). The vegetables accompanying the NY strip were barley warm (almost mushy carrots and hard broccoli). Both meals came with a plate of chopped lettuce (sometimes known as a Ceaser Salad!!!) with choice of dressing, a plateful of garlic bread, olives and basic fries out of a bag. The wait staff were attentive however lacking in any personality or desire to make guests feel really welcome, they seemed almost robotic. There was no music playing in the restaurant which was odd because you could easily hear others' conversations. There is no drinks menu, so no idea what the cost of a glass of wine was or whether you're getting a house or nice vintage wine??! Another and rather concerning observation (on this particular evening) was the seating of ethnic patrons; tucked away in corners or segregated from the more lively "main dining area". I can't quite put my finger on it, but something didn't sit right, and based off of this, we won't be returning and would not recommend this steakhouse for an enjoyable dining experience. Our bill came to $130 pre tax, inc one glass of (mystery) wine each. Disappointed it did not meet the same standards as some of these glowing reviews.

The BEST steakhouse I've ever eaten at. The prime rib will blow your mind. The staff are professional and take their careers seriously. This is evident immediately upon entering the restaurant. They do not linger, yet you will not have to attempt to locate your server...they are watching and appear tableside before you decide you need something. The 'Cesar Salad' is a must. Your server vigoriously whips up the dressing from scratch, before your very eyes..an impressive display indeed. Be forewarned..the cuts of beef are grilled to perfection and exactly as they should be, in my opinion...colossal! Few leave empty-handed.

Not Recommended. Very Old outdated Decor...The Restaurant is located in an Industrial Zone with Trucks and Construction Cranes all around..The decor is Circa 1975. I gave it a shot because of the reveiws but was sadly disappointed . The waiters were not knowledgeable about the menu as one would expect from such a high priced menu. The service was somewhat rushed as well. The overall atmosphere and feeling was not conducive to such a high priced menu.I ordered the rib-eye steak which cost $60. but was no better than a similar dish at The Keg which costs less and the steak was nothing special .The salad was grocery style iceberg with zero ingredients .No onions or any other ingredients..just iceberg lettuce. The atmosphere was more like an old 70s club .Not the high end Steak house one would be expecting from such a high priced menu.Overall impression was a low class survivor mama papa restaurant that has somehow by miracle survived for this long. Don't waste your precious time or money on this no class ripoff joint!

I've been here twice now. The first time was at the suggestion of a nearby hotel and I am glad they recommended it. I'm not a fan of chain restaurants and found this one to be a real gem. In both instances, I couldn't muster the appetite to order the steaks (but my partners seem to all enjoy prime rib so I tried that) but if they do their other food in a similar fashion as the seafood, I'd be more than happy to try their steak next time! I found the menu well rounded for a standard steakhouse (unless you're a vegetarian...) and reasonably priced. This is definitely value for your buck. We didn't drink but I'm sure they have quite the extensive list of wines. The atmosphere is very "old school steakhouse" and I admit, I loved it; I'm most happy with an authentic experience and this definitely had it. The service is not bad but not above par. The maitre'd was friendly to greet us and quickly got us seated. The waiter on the other hand, was not particularly friendly (but knowledgeable and efficient). The bus boy (?) was polite and quiet. I like that nobody was bothering me frequently about how things are etc. They were easy to flag down if I did need something though. Definitely room for improvement when it comes to service but in terms of food, value and atmosphere, I'd definitely go back.

Huge portions. Lights are too dim. The waiter was stuck up and cold. Only thing that was good was company, the drinks and olives. I had the Chilean red merlot and my better half had a Corona. We will never try this place again....such a waste of time.....so much that I feel so bad for my boyfriend for paying. Have to give my boyfriend credit and E for effort for trying. GO TO THE KEG!!! Probably violates their ethos, but the menu could do with some vegetarian/vegan options that aren't just a big (admittedly delicious) plate of tomatoes. It's a place tucked away in an industrial area near the airport that has apparently been there for decades. Went there on the invitation of a friend and we had a most enjoyable dining experience. The restaurant was packed, the staff was attentive, the food was plentiful and done to perfection. It is obviously a place with a loyal following that has a great reputation that is well deserved. Great place to go for steaks! I had Zorro's cut that was juicy, tender, and perfecty cooked. Also it is 32 oz, so should be plenty for 2 men. Comparing to KEG, the meat quality is better and that's why I decided to try Zorro's in the first place. Salad with garlic souce and bread were good. Wines on expensive side. Service was perfect and classy. Overall - definitely recommend and will go again!

There's no question this place is old school, it appears that it hasn't changed since 1975, and honestly, that's half the charm. The other half is the outstanding service quality and phenomenal steaks. By far one of the best rib steaks I've ever had. It's almost counterintuitive to find a place in the heart of an industrial area, dated beyond belief, with steaks that rival the best in Toronto. Even when the place was filled, there was no wait time for a table, or cocktails. It's a huge turnoff for me when I have to wait 10 minutes for a simple negroni, not here, it's on point and instantaneous. Granted, you're not going to be posting food pics on insta, but who cares, the quality is top notch and worth the price asked. My only recommendation (and who am I to even suggest it) is to delete the vegetables from the same dish as the steak- it's unnecessary, the steaks speak for themselves, no side veg needed. Will return. Kudos.

My girlfriend and I went to Zorro’s lastnight for the first time. Everything about the meal was fantastic. The portions, the taste, the service, the decor. We both got the rib steak and it was almost the size of the plate! It was juicy and flavourful. The Caesar salad was incredible. There was a lot of staff working who tended to everything that we needed. We will definitely be back!

This place is great for what it is, but it was not for me. I took my fiance, I am 28 and she is 30. This place is definitely for the 65+ crowd. The service was really good, it was one of those places where the waiters are older gentlemen in suits, you take a sip of your wine and they automatically fill it right up. The decor is very outdated, I felt like I traveled back in time. (late 80's) I had the new york strip steak and she had the chicken and ribs. Everything was very bland. Our meals came with a baked potato with "All the trimmings". The potato was just a baked potato in a bowl with nothing else, if you wanted you got a dollop of sour cream. The bare unseasoned potato in a bowl was a good example of just how bland all of the food was. All of this being said, the food is perfect for the 65+ crowd that wants familiar food and service. If you need to wine and dine the retirement home crowd I would 100% recommend this place. It's definitely a niche market place.

Celebrated a birthday here recently. The entire experience - from food, to service, to ambiance - was beyond compare. We had the escargot, French onion soup, Caesar salad, "Zorro's Platter For Two" (an incredible abundance of crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp, scallops, filet mignon, full rack of ribs, rice, broccoli & carrots), and crème brûlée cheesecake. Every single item was unbelievably delicious, and made with top quality fresh ingredients. The service was impeccable - special thank you to Jimmy! And the decor & feel of the place were exactly what I love to see at a traditional steakhouse - the lighting, the dark wood, stained glass, etc.

Fantastic place. We went at a very slow time of the day around 4:30pm so initially had the whole restaurant just for ourselves. The setup was a bit different and a bit dated but the food was simply awesome. My Steak was done to perfection and was very filling. The Dessert was also super tasty and so was the coffee. We came here a few years ago and we absolutely loved it! We got the $175 share platter and it was awesome. We decided to go again last weekend and got the same two people platter. The steak was literally the only good thing on there and honestly, I have tasted better steak with a much lower priced steakhouse. The scallops tasted as if they were just taken out of the ocean. One of my friends ordered the seafood past which had scallops and shrimps (if I'm not mistaken), and her whole pasta literally tasted like an ocean and it was not enjoyable. I don't think we will be coming back here as you can get tastier and good food for a much better price. That is just my opinion.

Our go to place when we want a special night out. Old world steak house with heavy, comfortable furniture, excellent service, reasonable prices, and sound deadening decor. And the food NEVER disappoints - steaks are cooked to perfection, prime rib is exceptional. Excellent dinner or lunch spot nestled in an industrial area just north of the airport. Highly recommended. Update... They have raised their prices and lowered the quality. My medium rare steak was overcooked and my wife's medium well steak was undercooked. I always enjoy the Steak Frite, but this time the french fries were pale and limp. We were there with a larger group, eight people, had to ask several times for horseradish, vinegar and refills of water.

The steaks were properly cooked, the service is attentive and the food is extremely plentiful, but there is zero imagination put into the sides (bland steamed veggies and baked potato with sour cream only). The crab on my steak Neptune was too fishy, and overpowered the taste of the steak. IMO, there are much better meals to be had in TO area, for the price. Atmosphere is old school steakhouse and stuffy.

I was referred to this restaurant by friends who were raving about how wonderful it was. My husband and i decided to try this restaurant for the first time on New Year's Eve 2018. The environment was warm and comfortable , the food was ok but nothing spectacular , quite pricey for a very average meal. The service was ok until the end of the night when the bill arrived , I wanted another glass of wine but was never asked if i would care for anything else prior to the bill landing on the table..I asked the waiter what the rush was, I felt like i was being hurried out the door. As the waiter placed the bill on the table he also took my wine glass which signaled to me that we were expected to leave. We paid the bill and left quietly, when i arrived at home i called the restaurant to discuss the experience i just encountered. I spoke with the manager John and he proceeded to tell me that it must have been a misunderstanding with the server. So to wrap it up we had an average meal with bad service all at a cost of $180.00... This restaurant should not be in a fine dining category because you could get better service at Swiss Chalet. I would like to recommend a true fine dinning experience which would be La Castile, you will not be disappointed .

Amazing decor. Sort of a nostalgic feeling for certain age groups. it was great until we sat at our table. Steak was okay. But well done means medium well; and medium rare means medium. Mine was too overcooked. The people I went with; their steaks were red and not cooked to perfection as ordered. Moreover the staff is not as friendly. Everyone seems like they hate their job. I have had better steak elsewhere. There are enough competitors to try out.

Always delicious with the best service in the GTA. This is a great traditional steakhouse with excellent caesar salad, garlic bread and of course steak! I swapped the potato/rice/fries for extra veggies with my 8 oz. filet mignon. Very clean and the waiting staff and bus boys are on point. Its upscale food in a comfortable atmosphere. Worth every penny.

The quantity of food is as great as the quality and taste of food. Big plates, big portions, with big taste. The deliberate old school elegantly dated decorum is absolutely wonderful, not everyene can pull this off, and at Zorro's, it works very well. The price is high, but it's absolutely worth it. The sour apple martini is deliciously "concentrated".

We order a New York strip well done no pink and it arrived medium rare, the waiter was slow at acknowledging and returned with it a medium, by then we then were well into our meal and almost finished it was still wrong again no one made any sort of apology. I said not to bring the same steak back make fresh the cut in two and and when it was returned it was still not the 12 oz.we ordered it was 10 oz once the bill came they charged us for everything.we had to ask for some sort of satisfaction and then they removed one steak i will never return and I will let Everyone know about our experiences

Not impressed with this place at all. Seafood platter oversalted, rib steaks are bland with little to no taste. Thr salad came with ketchup and mayo dressing and they call it french. Dinner for 4 cost us $500. Sorry, ill spend my money elsewhere.

Amazing prime rib but way too much food! I could not eat it all and as I was fro. Out of town I had no place to store or warm it up. All meals include salad, garlic bread and a pickle olive tray. Next time I will get a smaller size steak and hopefully save room for dessert! Service here is amazing and the servers are very attentive as well!

First time at Zorro's and I was immediately delighted as I entered. It has a very nice old school steakhouse charm. We were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table followed by another friendly smile from our server who welcomed us and handed us our menu's. He said he would be with us shortly and behind him was another gentleman who served us with a lovely platter of olives, pickles and butter..along with a basket full of warm garlic bread..very yummy. We decided on our entrees.. I ordered the Petit filet dinner with a Ceasar salad and my husband went with the sirloin steak with shrimps and a house salad. My Ceasar salad was perfection..it was made exactly how I like it..plenty of cheese, zesty dressing and full of flavour, very good. Our dinners arrived and our steaks were cooked to perfection. Both entrees were accompanied with vegetables and a baked potato. The meal was ok.. surprised that they only offer sour cream as a topping for the baked potato. It was a good classic steakhouse dinner. However, it's the exceptional service that is memorable.. very friendly, welcoming and professional.

We went to Zorro's as part of a meeting group near the airport. It was good proximity by taxi from the Airport Hotels. The decor is dated... very dated, but in a good state of repair. It felt like walking into the movie "Donnie Brasco" a bit and gave me flashbacks of my childhood in the 70's. That said, it really becomes part of the charm if you know what to expect. The food was great (I'm a big garlic fan, and they use it in everything) and we were well looked after by a team of servers that were attentive and professional. The restaurant has been around for many years which is a true test of it's quality - and it was quite busy on a Thursday night. If you are looking for something close to the airport (there isn't much in this area) that is a unique experience with good food I would recommend this place.

The zorros platter is amazing, the ceasar is the best in the city even better than Jacobs. This is the only place where I will order a prime rib....unreal. I dont know what they do to their garlic bread but I feel like Im going to explode everytime I leave this place. If you haven’t been....go.

I ate lunch here for the first time on Monday, 28th January 2019. I ordered a medium well done steak, with a Green salad and chips. I wasn't offered the option of a Greek salad, although the owners are Greek. The steak was cooked well. Their choice of music wasn't Greek. The waiter who served my food was Albanian, and spoke Italian with me. I had orange juice with my meal. The bottle of tomato sauce wouldn't let the sauce out into my bowl, so I asked him to help me. He tried knocking the base of it once, then grabbed my butter knife ( with some butter still on it ) and tried to put it in the bottle. I stopped him. The whole 375ml bottle would have been contaminated! I was astonished by his gesture! At the end of my lunch, i asked for the bill. He brought it promptly and asked how I would pay. I said "cash," and gave him a $50 bill for a meal that cost $40, without the 15% tip. Lo and behold! He didn't bring me my change, and when I questioned him; he said: " I thought you said it's okay for me to keep the change. " I NEVER said that! I went to the loo after paying, and came back to my table, expecting my change. He says: " I thought you had already left!" I said: " My jacket was on the chair. Do you think I would leave without it? " He kept saying sorry. He had wrongly assumed that I had said "it's okay," and that I meant "keep the change." At that time, I wanted to ask him if "he felt that I was Mister Donald Trump's SON!" It left a bad impression on me after a delicious meal! I felt like "If he tried this with me...how many other customers might he have tried it with?" I'm having second thoughts about visiting Zorro's Steakhouse again. Has this happened to anyone else? I tipped him $6, which was even MORE than the 15% tip BEFORE taxes, in cash. It's SAD! They can and they should try to do better! YES you can! Cheers Mates! Enjoy your visit. The food is good!

Was not good at all. The food could really improve. Don’t suggest ordering the lobster, it tasted like an ocean vomited in my mouth and it was hard as a rock. Everyone I went with was not impressed with their food. Service was pushy, rude and salty. When they asked how the food was (and multiple people asked) we said fine (side note: it was bad) they gave us a snotty look or scoffed, and left. Decor is just plain lacking and boring. Seating is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Would never come back and never recommend. Plus, super expensive. Not worth it.

Thanks to management and staff for a great meal serving 33 people. Appetizers and salads were followed with Prime rib, steaks, chicken and salmon everything was cooked to perfection. There was also wine, beer and coffee served.This was a small gathering to celebrate our son’s wedding and everyone in the group was quite impressed with the service and food. Thanks again guys.

Zorro's Steakhouse is a charming fine dining restaurant that brings you back to the 60's era. We remember going to Zorros with my family 30 years ago. We hadn't been there since then. When we were watching Mad Men there were many scenes where the players would dine at Elegant Steak Houses. It reminded us of Zorros and we decided to go there recently and were pleasantly surprised. I ate a delicious new York strip with a flavourfull iceberg lettuce blue cheese salad. We were served by probably the same waiters who served me all those years ago. A wonderful restaurant and a must experience for anyone.

Went with a couple that had been there many times before. Decor is old school but food well worth it. Garlic bread that they bring to start is very, well, garlicky. I had the steak and scallops. Scallops were done perfectly, filet mignon had a great crust on it as well. Hubby had the peppercorn steak, came with a great crust of peppercorn on it as well as a sauce to dip it in. Only critique I had would have been the caesar salad. Flavour was good and it was, be fore warned, very garlicky as well but it was too wet. There was water on the bottom of the plate it just needed to be dried off more. Also, and the reason for the 4 stars was 3 of the scallops were gritty. A place of this caliber should not have that problem.
