Excellent local fine dining restaurant. The calamari, duck, and salmon were all delicious. The potatoes are amazing as well. Wish the portion sizes were slightly larger. The service was great. Very friendly, funny, and efficient. The ambience was okay. Prices are on the higher end.

Food is excellent ???? love going there for lunch. One of my favourite dishes is the carpaccio, this is the only place in Mississauga were they serve an excellent beef carpaccio, another of my favourite thing on the menu is the mango cheese cake, it is so delicious that my husband that doesn’t like mango loves it. Service is also excellent, they are very friendly and very helpful, I never had a bad experience at this restaurant. From food to service it is always excellent.

Excellent service and food quality. The waiter recommended an excellent red wine for under $70. The appetizer was exceptional with the blue cheese, asparagus and Prosciutto. My favourite was the tuna crusted in sesame seed with wasabi sauce. One of the best places in Mississauga with exceptional service.

This was an okay experience,the reviews tricked me on this one. The fettuccine with the lobster was not good at all it was very disappointing.The noodles were overcooked and the lobster was like mush. I think it's overpriced for the quality of food your getting. On a positive note the caesar salad was good. Overall, I would not come here again .

Even with a reservation, my husband and I still had to stand around waiting 20min for our table, not impressed, as our table should've been ready, that's what a reservation is for..not even a chair or bench to sit in while you're waiting. Tables were too close together, very crowded, felt like I was eating in someone's living room, no ambience or music, just crowd murmur.. Food was good, but nothing special, if you're looking for fine dining, keep looking.

Went here on a Tuesday night. It wasn't too busy but there was a considerable amount of people. My initial reaction when walking in was how romantic and intimate it was. The lighting and rustic feel definitely set the mood. Definitely a place to bring your date or SO to. The food was great and was filling. Great wine selection. The portion sizes were perfect. And the service was quick and excellent. Friendly and inviting staff who knows their stuff. They really know how to time their dishes. As an FYI, reservations are recommended.

I have to say this place is great. Had the opportunity to finally try this place after driving by it many times. My girlfriend and I celebrated her birthday there and our waiter Patrick went above and beyond to make her night special. The combination of food quality and service quality makes this place a 10/10. This is the go to Italian restaurant if you are in the West end of the GTA.

Our last meal before tonight at Piatto was in November 2020 prior to lockdown. Although the only dining option is on the patio, it was so good to be back. Tom & Alex made each party of diners so welcome at the approximately 12 tables. Clearly everyone was excited to be dining again. The food did not disappoint. The specials were delightfully seasonal for June with gazpacho, asparagus and salmon on the menu. I cannot speak highly enough about this Mississauga gem. Bon appetit!

Went for an evening on a Thursday. Thankfully had reservations because the place was full. The Calarmari was excellent and done just right. Tasted the duck confit and it was soft and juicy with the orange sauce. Ended my meal with a tiramisu and espresso. Special thanks to Khan who made the evening memorable. We had 2 small kids and they felt like home.

The service here is top of the line. Patrick and Chengis are both amazing servers, they really go out of their ways to ensure you have an enjoyable dinner. They know the menus and more than happy to accommodate items. I had the Artic Char that was cooked to perfection. The appetizers were sublime, mussels, French onion soup and salad. One thing was the lobster cake, I found it fell apart way too easily (not sure if it's supposed to) but the flavors are great. Don't miss out on dessert! I would recommend this restaurant as it would not disappoint you.

The most FANTASTIC ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN MISSISSAUGA! The food was absolutely magnificent, flavourful and delicious! Pasta was cooked to perfection ! The chicken was marvellous, which doesn't usually happen with these kind of places. The service was also more then we could have asked for. Extremely professional and everyone made us feel like royalty. The cater was able to help with my vegetarian diet restrictions and proposed a fantastic pasta! The portions were great and unlike most places they provided me with a variety of terrifically tasting veggies and mushrooms! Other guests at the restaurant were also very sympathetic and overall atmosphere of the place made our dinner cosy and enjoyable. Great variety in the wine and alcohol menu! Cannot wait to go back! I still remenisce over that delicious pasta!

We had the seared beef to start (a nice light saltiness) followed by the linguine (absolutely exquisite truffle and olive oil flavours) and finished with the mango cheesecake. I highly recommend this restaurant. Service was fast and friendly, food was great, prices were reasonable but a tad more than most other places.

Lovely setting in west Mississauga. We dined here just before the pandemic was announced and everyone absolutely loved it. The day we were there, they were closing at 10pm, so it felt a bit rushed but was otherwise fine dining at its finest. Delicious.

I love this place. I've been going to Piatto's since the late 90's. Every time it is fantastic. Small, quaint, fabulous service, and amazing food. The dining experience is just fantastic. I can't say enough about this place. This is how an Italian food restaurant should be. I've been there with a group of 20, group of 5 or party of 2, and all experiences were fabulous. Go!!! Eat!!!! After being seated and served water (was not asked if we wanted sparkling water) we waited about 10 minutes for another waiter who asked for our order, which we then asked to order drinks before our meal. The waiter was not familiar with the special, he kept having to refer to the chalkboard. Waiter was not familiar with the desert menu, describing one dish as chocolate brownie instead of chocolate mousse. For such a fine restaurant with such amazing food, the waiters seemed not up to par. But the food is really amazing which is most important.

The service here is excellent, they take the time to explain all menu items match wines. I joked to the server that the bread was so good we'd like to take a loaf home. He said I believe I have one for you. My wife said he is joking and the waiter says " Be careful what you say- this is Piatto- we make sure you are happy!" My wife had the pasta and said every bite was delicious. I had the veal chop with honey mushroom sauce- amazing! Our waiter arranged risotto instead of potatoes- wow what a great choice that was! Even the post dinner grappa was excellent, very smooth. We highly recommend Piatto to anyone that likes real Italian food.

You are treated like royalty. One waiter adjusts your seat, one places your napkin,one fills your water, one gives you your menu. Great place to spend a couple of hours. Their wines are not on LCBO list, they are special order. Food is delicious, ambience is like you are in a castle. You will never have an experience like this ever. Even Justin Trudeau comes here (without reservation). Put it on your bucket list, reservations for common folk required.

Family and friends attended this restaurant earlier tonight. The service was horrendous. One person ordered fish and was served a steak by mistake. When the server was advised of the issue, his response was simply, "fish is meat too." The worst incident that evening however occurred at the beginning of the evening when a few members of the party asked for fresh drinking glasses and the same server responded by picking up the drinking glasses that were on the table and already containing water, dumping the water in a nearby plant, and placing the glasses back on the table. The manager apologized after the fact, but only at the conclusion of the evening after the bill was paid. I'm quite concerned with the reckless disregard for the health code the server had whereby he clearly refused to provide clean glasses when requested. Furthermore, his discriminatory acts with respect to a customer's dietary requests are also things I find very troubling. Needless to say, this matter will likely be escalated to the health inspector as I am concerned about this restaurant's practices with regards to hygiene and customer safety especially during this pandemic. Even more horrendous is the fact that my family and friends in attendance were a visible minority and it was noticed that the surrounding tables with caucasian patrons did not have to contend with the same deplorable service from the same server. My MPP will definitely be hearing about this incident along with the municipality. I hope the restaurant rectifies their practices and acknowledges their shortcomings this evening. I can understand that everyone is on edge; however, this was uncalled for behaviour. I hope this restaurant strives to do better and amend its practices to maintain customer safety.

My boss took us here for a christmas lunch and we had an exceptional experience! The staff was so friendly and courteous, you can really feel the family kind of environment. The dress code is formal however you can get away with business casual as well. I ordered the arabbiata pasta and it was delicious and so flavorful! I would definitely come back :)

I usually only write reviews to warn people about bad places, but for reference, I have been to this place a few times. This is one of the places I consider the standard by which I measure other restaurants. The service is great. The food is terrific (though once, my calamari was a bit tough - if I would have mentioned it, they would have freaked out and done everything to make it right - I just didn't want to make an issue - still that meal OVERALL was great!) Ambience is great. Prices are great for the quality of food and service. (Note - any negative reviews are likely from those expecting full fine dining - GREAT food, but affordable - otherwise, you would have to add a zero to the bill total.) I have a hard time finding a real fault with this restaurant after many visits. I look forward to going back. P.S. - the only place I know of that actually knows how to make an espresso right. (Best to have a reservation)

Looked forward to evening out at this local restaurant for our anniversary..while the food was good, the service was terrible..waiter served our meal but no one asked or checked in with us how things were. Our plates were cleared, we sat for 30 mins, we not approached and were.not.offered.coffee or dessert menu. Finally I asked for the bill,paid and left. A superb high-end restaurant experience in mid-Mississauga, serving mainly Italian dishes. An excellent wine rack fills out the menu and the service was excellent; always prompt, accomodating and informative. The maitre d' likes to engage customers in conversation in several languages. Portions were ample, the steak was grilled to tender perfection and the venison was delicious. The romantic, cozy atmosphere is enhanced by the fireplace and wine shelves that dot the inside of this historic house. The Italian desserts melted in our mouths. Recommended for couples on dates.

Honestly the service and staff were amazing. Super friendly and hilarious. The issue is the food. My partner had the risotto, it was so under seasoned and bland. I ordered the veal scalopinni which was good. The vegetables were over cooked and the carrots were just baby carrots from a bag.

The ambiance of the restaurant was reminiscent of grandpa's old wine cellar, handed down to him by his forefathers. Inviting, relaxing, and truly picturesque. Upon entering, you are immediately greeted by the manager and owners themselves! They take your coat and escort you personally to your table. The menu's selection boasts a wide variety of not-to-be-ignored exotic dishes. I personally had the bison ribeye steak, one of the specials of the night. Hands down, the best steak I have ever had! It was seasoned and cooked to exactly what I had requested. Similar responses from the rest of the table about their meals. A wonderful selection of wines, organised by country of origin, and some sinfully delicious desserts await anyone harbouring a sweet tooth. Make no mistake. If you visit Piatto, it won't be a one-night-stand; it'll be the start of a beautiful relationship!

After all the nice reviews we went there, was such a disappointment. fish was burnt from outside and uncooked, not presentable. Salad seemed to be dumbed on all platters we ordered. None of the platters were even reasonable. Coffee served was cold , god knows when it was made. Rude servers , seemed like throwing dishes..... will NOT go again & not recommend .

My son picked Piatto for our lunch date. From beginning to end it was amazing!! We each ordered a starter and main course. Sneaking a taste of each other's dish was a must. Everything looked fantastic and tasted even better. After such a wonderful meal there was no room left for dessert so we compromised and ordered one to share. So glad we did. To top off such an amazing meal was the fantastic service. Highly recommend ????

Very nice place. Service was fantastic and staff are friendly. I had the chicken supreme, while the portions aren't huge the do have exceptional taste. Also seemed like unlimited free bread. My girlfriend had the linguini mushroom pasta wasn't that great, I would recommend a different dish personally. It is a little expensive $22 for the chicken but again very enjoyable.
