I’ve been there twice in the last month, since patios opened after lockdown and it’s been great! The patio is gorgeous… you get the sunset and there’s a square one fountain. And it feels far enough from the busy road.The servers are very friendly and the food is great! Highly recommend!

The service was great and the extremely friendly staff made the dine in experience worth it. The staff has also made extra efforts to ensure safe social distancing from other guests as well as from your server. I felt extremely comfortable and safe eating here as my booth was surrounded by glass panels. I ordered the blackened chicken Burger. the chicken patty was extremely over seasoned and overwhelmed the rest of the burger. It did not seem like it was just an issue with my burger however as my friend order the exact dish and also noticed how overbearing the flavour of the chicken patty was. The atmosphere of the restaurant was enjoyable and If I were to come back I would order something else instead of the blackened chicken burger.

Went here for some dinner with some colleagues after work and iwe enjoyed it. It was really hot though even tho we were inside and we did see some flies flyign around. Our server was great and the food was good. I got the steak salad and tasted great.

Moxies is always a favourite of mine as they've got great food, good service and awesome drink deals. Their fish tacos are hands down one of the best things on their menu and even better that they're discounted on Mondays to be $4 each. This time, they were slightly over salted, however I'd still recommend trying them on your next visit. Check out their great drink specials daily too!

Excellent customer service. This was our first time coming to this location. The service was excellent from the time we walked through the door. Fast seating and our server Maddie was witty and fun. She made my daughter smile and enjoyed her dining experience. I observed the guys constantly walking around making sure dishes were removed from tables, cleaning and replenishing cutlery. It was nice to see how proactive everyone was while still having fun. I ordered the fish tacos and I was not 100% satisfied. The floor manager asked about it and took it off my bill and I got an amazing complimentary salad. Amazing customer service is something you dont see to often these days. I highly recommend this location for a great dining experience....even for the little ones.

Nice outdoor seating arrangements in covid times. Food was good. Servers here are cheerful. Would recommend them to add few more items to menu which will give some variety of options. Thanks for hosting us today. Kids enjoyed free lava ice cream.

Place is always busy. Food is good but not everything is good. Steaks were cookedd to perfection. Baked potato was stuffed with so many things, but was served cold and you can only enjoy a baked potato when tibia hot. I would still give it 4 star because of the service and the quality isbthe meat

Been awhile since we've visited Moxie's. Pleasantly surprised at this hip, vibrant location inside Square One. Had the fish tacos: only 2 servings incleded however portion was generous and loaded with fresh crudités; the fish component could have been tastier. Burger was tasty and likewise portion was generous. Service was efficient.

Staff was friendly but food is so so. Ive tried Moxie's before and I wasn't too impressed with them then and now. The flavors are ok but the portion size is large. Food reviews: lettuce wraps -these were eh. Pf Chang's does it better myself if ordering, I recommend you ask they they don't put in green beans. It gives it a weird after taste. French toast bites- these were on the house and pretty tasty too Fish tacos- ehhh, I've had better. These were dry and the cabbage seemed to be the star of the show.

Had the spicy chicken to start with. It was very tasty, could have been alittle crunchier. I had the New York peppercorn steak, it was cooked right, I expected the peppercorn sauce to be alittle more creamy but the steak tasted like it was frozen and the food was kind of cold. I wouldnt recommend it. My girl had the chicken and ribs, she asked for potatoes and they gave her coleslaw. The food was okay. Our table had cutlery for one person and nobody brought us small plates to eat our appetizers. They switched our server and the other server was still walking around it was like he didnt want to serve us or something so I was offended, especially when the new guy tried to take our order, we placed our order 10 minutes prior to him coming like he should have known we ordered something atleast. The new guys service was alright. Nobody brought the water we asked for and speaking of water both of our drinks were watered down and this guy had the nerve to ask if I wanted another one... I spent the hundred bucks I was prepared to spend but I was not happy about it. I have been to other Moxies locations and have had a way better experience. Overall my experience here was bad, the service was terrible and inconsiderate and my girlfriends order was wrong. We sat close to the kitchen area where the staff gets the food etc.. you can see and hear them arguing about stuff and talking about who they are going to upsell on what etc.. not very professional. I am not going to bash the restaurant and say bad things, but there are some things that need to be addressed clearly. I am honestly just disappointed. The experience was a disappointment. I am actually going to copy and paste this to other review outlets and my social media because people deserve to know.

Went here for appetizers and drinks after waking around in the mall. Food was good I recommend the tuna stack and fries. Guacamole was not seasoned at all tho. But overall experience was nice and they have good covid procedure.

Even though we had to wait a bit to be seated the staff kept us in the loop throughout the wait, letting us know what and why it was happening. Tara, the server/waitress that attended to us, was AMAZING. She went above and beyond for us and I couldn't thank her enough. She is the best!

Over all: Went there with my friends, the staff were very pleasant, covid measures were in place, very clean and Excellent hospitality. The experience: My friend had ordered a medium cooked steak, but it came out to be abit under cooked than how he normally takes his steak, the head chef, Shane i think was his name... went above and beyond our expectation and remade the whole meal again for my friend and presented the dish to us himself. He made us feel like a valued customer, and he truely made the whole over all experience turn from a semi bad one to a really amazing experience. Once again, i'd like to point out that he went out of his way to come and present the dish to my friend, remade the whole dish, and even offered us a dessert. Shane made sure the 2nd time that the steak was cooked to perfection. This time the steak was definitely made correctly! Furthermore this is actually the second time that this particular moxie's location went above and beyond in terms of hospitality! Would definitely reccommend this location and will continue to be a valued customer at this location. Once again my friends and i truely want to thank Shane the head chef for making the experience a really amazing one!

The experience we had yesterday was actually the most disappointing from the waitress (I don’t know her name, I don’t want to give the description because that would be too personal for her.) she said to us that why she get only 5$ tip when we gave it to her. And this is the first time I heard someone this rude and only dependable on tips . We can’t afford so we gave 5$ tip ! And the menu items also bit expensive and only few options available. I won’t step in this location. It’s so humiliating for us. Because you can’t ask for more tips from customers and be rude as well.

Our server was wonderful, her name was along the lines of Dayja...so sorry I can't recall. She was attentive to our needs with a toddler and available when we needed her. Kind and upbeat, easy to converse with. Food was surprisingly delicious, it's been a while since I've been to Moxies. This was a great choice. Veggie burger yum, truffle fries yum, chilli margarita yass. Got kids pizza was good. The white chocolate chip brownie was *wonderful*. Great way to top off a yummy dinner. Love the convenience of this being in the mall, nice to come after a long day of shopping. Super clean washrooms. Had a corner table perfect to store our stroller out of the way. I would come back!

Over the weekend I had a chance to visit Moxies located in Square One with my friends. The ambience of the restaurant was classy yet casual at the same time. A perfect place to visit with friends and family. We ordered the Calamari as an appetizer to share, it was my first time trying Calamari but Moxies didn't disappoint~ The dish came with two mouthwatering dips - garlic & spicy mayo and with tempura shrimp added into the dish as well. It was an explosion of flavors and textures and definitely a must try! I ended up ordering the Chicken Alfredo for myself, which was made up of pan roasted chicken, tagliatelle noodles, grana padano, asiago cream & chives, with a side of garlic bread. The alfredo was really good and filling, would definitely recommend it and the rest of the dishes ordered if you’re ever at Moxies! This place has amazing ambience. Went with friends and ordered Mosaic dip and the while chocolate brownie. The brownie was out of the world. The dip was delicious and the breads were soft. The quantity of each item was great value for money. My first experience at Moxie’s grill and bar was fantastic. Will definitely come back to try more stuff.

My go to restaurant with friends and family. The manager, Sam is a Master Chef who cares about their customers in a very original way. The ambience is amazing and the air is always fresh. The service is high quality. Food portions are excellent and the variety and taste are superb. Staff is friendly, neat and personable. Fantastic experience. You should not miss Moxie's Square One

I was very impressed by the service here. I am vegetarian, so it's a bit hard to find stuff at any of these kinds of bar and grill restaurants that I actually want. I usually ask for a pasta with the meat taken out, and most restaurants do it. However, this time the server told me that the sauce had beef stock and so it isn't truly vegetarian. I said I'd like some more time to find something else on the menu then, which she was totally fine with. She then called a manager over to explain to me why that pasta has beef stock, and the manager very kindly and patiently looked over the menu with me and highlighted some of the other popular plant-based items. It was really nice of them and it really made my day, even though I was feeling like eating pasta. Even though there's limited options for me here, I wouldn't mind coming here again because I was really impressed with how they dealt with the situation.

Food proportion seems too much... I ordered the Salmon Cobb Salad (deconstructed/diy version)... Who thought of putting salad dressing on the bottom, balancing half of an iceberg lettuce, a ring of sliced avocado with cherry tomatoes and croutons in the middle on top of the lettuce with a drizzle of vinegret, then added grilled salmon and soft boiled egg on top with bacon on top of that?! Aesthetics can only put you so far. I don't recommend getting the Salmon Cobb Salad because it's too messy to deal with. I also don't recommend the White Peach Bellini, looks great, tastes okay - would definitely add 3 shots instead of 1oz because the glass is larger / "Moxified". The nachos were great though! I'd recommend that to start; if it's just two people, don't upsize.

Pros: tasty food, modern and stylish environment, lots of large and comfortable booths, contemporary decor, good drink menu, and very diverse food selections with a fine dining feel, large establishment with lots of seating. Cons: slow service, unknowledgeable staff, over prices, slow service, White chocolate brownie dessert has changed from a moist and decadent treat to a dried up white slab of cake, garlic aioli is now a yogurt dip.

Good spot for drinks or a nice dinner. Menu has lots to choose from but not overwhelming. Food was delicious, and the service was quick and friendly. Parking can be difficult but this location is meant more for after hours and a close to a day of shopping. I’d recommend the fish tacos. The bathrooms are immaculate too.

The place was pretty busy and it was hard to get a waitress to help us at our table. The food was simply ok. The calamari was great, however, the chicken Madeira rigatoni was sub par. There on brewed beer which i believe they call the euro had a bad after taste. Didnt quite enjoy it. Also, if you come on weekends, unless you book ahead, be prepared to wait.

Many things withstand the test of time but the menu at Moxie's is unfortunately not one of them. From my previous review of the mango chicken, the dish has lost its luster and I assume other items have followed suit. There is no value proposition here given the prices and a dine for two will set you back around $70 or thereabouts. Nachos with a pint or salad bowls will be your best best when visiting with friends and there is that extra nice touch of hospitality for a pretty penny. Personally, there is not much to warrant a return from us unless they shake up their menu drastically. What do we feel is missing? Vegetarian options. There are maybe two right now. Consistent food. If you change a menu item, give it a different name.

I ordered a smaller main meal, the steak sandwich with tomato soup, so that I could indulge more in the dessert trio. The former were good, though the sandwich was too greasy for my liking. However, I chose it more on the basis of total calories. I got unlucky that evening, as they didn't have the cheesecake, so I had to pick a substitute. As I hadn't tasted any of these from the trio before, I picked the white chocolate brownie, which everybody seems to rave about. I discovered it's not really my thing; it was just OK, but I would have done much better to double up on the sticky toffee pudding instead. Overall I was a little disappointed, as had I known in advance that there was no cheesecake available, I would have got the chipotle mango chicken instead, which I've had before several times and is absolutely delicious. However, at least I tried two items from the dessert menu that I hadn't had before, leaving just one more to try next time. Also, I enjoy the dark chocolate cake here on occasion.

Went in for an anniversary date. Good food and a nice ambience. It was a Saturday 7 pm. The place is huge so getting a place is a breeze. The food was good. We had a tuna stack for our appetizer and it was on point. Drinks were good. Our mains were good as well .

Completely rude and incompetent staff at the front desk. Was trying to dine in today and had my previous vaccine receipts (which are still acceptable to use) instead of the QR code. The front staff persisted that I get the QR code (which I tried downloading but was unable to do due to some technical issue). I notified them that I was unable to get it and it clearly states on the provincial guidelines that both vaccine receipts and QR codes are valid proof of vaccination. But Ofcourse they loved getting a power trip out of this and were “unable to accommodate our group”. Please educate your staff Moxies. And if you can’t then atleast have staff that are not completely puke worthy to talk to.

This location has amazing service. The server introduced himself, guided us through the drinks and food menu, checked on us frequently to make sure everything is ok and if we needed anything. We ordered the most famous mango chicken. I have to say it was delicious. I have had mango chicken at different places before but this one is my favourite so far. The portion size is decent. The one in the picture is a half portion. Can’t wait to try other items in the menu. Ambiance is good but this is extremely busy location.

Great experience. Service was prompt and attentive. There was a small issue with the order, which Jordyn quickly rectified and the manager on duty followed up with an apology for the error. This was very much appreciated as mistakes do happen and it was greatly appreciated ownership of the situation was accepted. I will definitely return as I think the burger is one of the best around.

The wait time as expected right now was a little bit of a wait but nothing too crazy. The patio at this location is really nice and the tables and booths aren't too close together so you can have enough space to enjoy your own meal without feeling suffocated. My food was cooked well and very tasty. The only thing that put a damper on the experience was our service from our server as we only saw her to take our order and at the end. Everyone else brought out our drinks and food, she didn't do a quality check or ask if we needed anything like our second drinks she clearly forgot to punch in. Then when we were paying there was some trouble with the machine and she didn't offer any help, me and my sister were trying to figure it out. Then the server finally says she'll split the payment to make it easy for herself without even checking if we were splitting the bill which I found extremely rude. We had also paid for dessert to go which after waiting 15 minutes had to go inside and speak to a manager to get conjured up before we were finally able to leave. I also noticed the other tables around us waited extremely long before they were attended to, for drink and food orders. I can understand if its busy or the server is new but as I said it will only ruin the experience if there's no clear communication of whats going on in the restaurant.

Waitresses were friendly but not as attentive. Our waitress took a while to get back to us after we ordered wine. It took about 15 minutes after we got our drinks before we were able to order. The sirloin and shrimp was average - I have asked for medium but received it medium-well (it wasn’t as juicy either.) The highlight of our meal was dessert. Moxies is known for their famous white chocolate brownie. If anything, the dessert saved the day. I would recommend coming here during the evenings on weekdays.

Decided to check out the Square One location tonight and I was pleasantly surprised by the food and service at this location. From the moment we walked in the door the customer service from start to finish was quick and efficient. Our server was constantly checking in on us and ensuring we were satisfied and had what we needed. I ordered the loaded cheeseburger and my girlfriend ordered the shrimp tacos. Afterwards I ordered their brownie and was definitely full when we left. Would return again!

Tonight, we walked into Earls where there were three girls giggling and posing for selfies. They proceeded to tell me they were understaffed and it would be a 1 hour and 40 minute wait. Obviously doing their best to detract us. They texted us 30 minutes later. We declined because we were already seated at Moxies where there were 6 groups behind us and the very attentive front staff told incoming clients there would be about a 30 minute wait. Eager for guests! We were served by the lovely and talented Angelina. She made our evening bright and so fun! Incredibly knowledgeable, (she described my perfect steak with ease) attentive, charming and the best recommendations, we will be back because of Angelina!!!

Would like to give 0 stars if it was possible. They ruined my New Years Eve. I called the Moxie Square One on Dec 31st at 5pm called to confirm what time they are open, when is the last call, what time they close and if they are doing reservations. Over the phone they confirmed they are doing walks in and do not require reservations and that the last call is 9:45 and that they close at 11pm. Since it was New Years me and my friend decided that we will go at 8:30pm, one hour before last call. When I got there they told us they’re no longer sitting customers anymore as they’re kitchen already did last call. Told them that I spoke to someone over the phone and they told me that the last call is at 9:45pm, which is 1 hour and 15 mins away. The host just ignored the fact that someone from their store gave me wrong information over the phone and just told me they can’t do anything about. She didn’t even try to fit us in, and there was only 2 of us, which could have been easily accommodated. Now that it was Dec 31st and so late, all restaurants were full and most of them required reservations so we were left with no where to go to eat.

This is our go-to place when craving roast beef and blackened chicken. Try their Beef Dip and Blackened Chicken Burger. You will enjoy their Chicken Madeira Rigattoni. The Pineapple Lemoncraft soda always hits the spot. Service at this location is always 5 stars.

Came here about 2 months ago with my sister and mom and had a great experience. The food was great but our server Gabby A. really shined, we were so happy with the care she gave us. I’ve never had such a great restaurant experience! We came two days ago and while the server was nice, it wasn’t the same and that was disappointing. I went there this evening around 6:30pm. I had an excellent experience, my server, Shantae, was wonderful. She checked in with us when needed and was very kind. The manager did walk around consistently to make sure everything was okay. We had been waiting about 25min for our food; though to be fair it was a Saturday evening during a dinner rush, so it was not an issue. Even so, the manager came by and apologized to us for it taking awhile and offered us free dessert. Overall the atmosphere is so nice, the food was excellent, and service is superb!

We had a wonderful experience at Square One Moxies recently. The server was very knowledgeable. My daughter loved the nachos. My steak was cooked perfectly. One of the best steaks I have ever had. And the kids dessert, the volcano ice cream was too cute. We'll definitely be going back soon.

Nothing special here. We had quite a diverse order at our table, two different steaks, two different pastas, two appetizers, three soups and six drinks. It was clear by the end of our dine in that nothing was "amazing". Everything was average. The service was good, our waiter was nice and he was helpful with the menu, but our food took a little longer than anticipated to reach our table. Atmosphere was noisy, definitely a 'bring the crowd' kind of place. Lastly, expect to pay a bigger bill for what you get on your plate in comparison to other places, it is in square one after all, unfortunately that bigger bill did not translate to excellence.

We came just after opening for a quick bite before our day of shopping. We were greeted promply, seated in the lounge - which by the way is not what I expected. A nice high top booth. Our server (Sharnica) defines Best in Class - she was so attentive, proactive with offering refills, friendly and made for a great lunch experience. The food was spectacular, it was hot and fresh. Everything tasted delicious. Can't improve on perfection, start to finish.

Very little choice for Halal food. Ambience was good. Nachos and Soup werevegetarian and tasted good. I ordered Calamari and it wasn't good, too oily and rubbery. The white chocolate brownie was really hard, not what I expected.

Had an unfortunate experience at this location with a front door male staff member. After waiting a short while to join the outdoor dining queue, one of the male staff asked if we've been helped and that he could help us. I happily approached asking if they could accommodate for a table of 9 (aware that it may not be possible) and he immediately explained they "couldn't do parties of more than 6 because the government..." And so I understood, and my party agreed prior that we would just split if that were to be the case. Everyone but the front door man had an understanding to the situation. He kept repeating the same line "no I know what you're trying to do and the government won't allow us to do parties more than 6" when I was trying to explain that we are leaving our other party members and would just need a table for 5. We talked in circles for 5 minutes while he wouldn't say anything other than that line, and our whole party was confused as to how he wasn't able to understand. At one point he even said "I know what you're trying to do, you'd want one table by the window and another on the other side of the patio" and I said "sure, anything works. We don't even need to be here at the same time, we're separating, we're leaving them behind" and once again he cut me off, sighed and kept repeating the line from earlier: "no I know what you're trying to do and the government won't allow us to do parties more than 6". If the staff member cared to explain more about why booking a party of just 5 wouldn't be allowed I would understand but he just didn't want to communicate. His lack of care for the entire encounter was very off-putting and was a very poor attempt at communication. At this point we were upset and frankly embarassed that he was ignoring all the words coming out of my mouth so we left. And no, we didn't cause a scene or anything of the sort, but overall disappointed by the lack of basic communication and customer service skills at this location.

The food was okay but what caught us off guard was the up charge of fries. Told the waitress you did not notify us although she suggested different sides we could add to our burgers. It was definitely a money grab. Waitresses typically notifies customers if there are any additional fees. I did not like how she was dismissive too when I brought it up. Don’t know why she was tipped either. Overall not satisfied with this experience.

Food is amazing but the service is weird. They gave us our food first then our utensils came. We waited 10 mins for our utensils while our food got cold and we were outside, usually their service is amazing. Just don't know why it happened like that

On September 2nd, my family and I (group of 7) arrived at this location in celebration of my mothers birthday. Unfortunately, given the size of our group, we experienced a number of delays in getting a table. We were hungry, tired , and frustrated, but the staff at Moxies were absolutely delightful. The effort they put into our requests for tables, ordering, and ensuring our night could be salvaged given the wait we endured was admirable. I especially wanted to commend Sam and Sheldon, who gave their all to our services and left us with smiles on our faces. I cannot recommend this location enough; thank you for the wonderful evening!

I came here for the first time today and it was great. All the workers were very kind, particularly the bartender lady that gave me a nice drink recommendation (I wish I remembered her name). The orders came quickly, the place is clean, and the food and drink were very good. I originally came here to be sad and get wasted at the bar alone lol but I left feeling a little better!

I visited the restaurant this past Sunday evening with my family, we were hesitant due to the reviews that servers were inattentive and rude. The food was decent, but the highlight of our experience was our server Gabby. We were seated at the patio and this was by far the best service I’ve ever received at any restaurant, for anyone who had an unpleasant experience here this definitely redeemed the restaurants reputation. Great personality & sense of humour; we will definitely be back for her. Well done Gabby!!
