I had no problems with A&W, but the last time I went it was different. They messed up the order by putting onion rings instead of fries, even tho on the receipt it clearly stated "fries" and we said we want fries 3 times. They also added some unusual spices to food (which I personally do not like at all). The spices were the major issue for me. It's a fast food industry and it doesn't state anywhere that they're using those spices. So it's really sad A&W becoming worse in Swan River.

The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. However, they messed up on our order. I can't have spicey food and specifically asked for regular mayo instead of the hot one. But they packed me with the hot one therefore I was unable to eat it. They also only packed us with one dipping sause for 5 chicken strips. By the time we got our food out, we were well out of town and could not return, so I cannot speak on their ability to problem solve. However, given the friendliness of the staff, I'm sure they would have resolved the issue.

Mozza burgers are by far my fave. Each town we go to for work or leasure that is always my go to. Sadly this Mozza was an embarresment to A&W. It was cold....dry...and HALF a slice of bacon was broken into 2 pieces...and was definitly far from freshly made....Was Quarter of what a mozza bacon should normally be. And the Rootbear was warm The Big Juicy Mozza was such a disapointment from this location as it was so not that! In Swan River MB I DO not recomend If i could post a minus i so would.

Normally pleasant experience, great food normally. But tried fhis time was different on account mozzarella mushroom burger and the sauce tasted like horseradish. Which personally I hate I went to ask to exchange my burger was met with very unprofessional reply. All of the staff were pleasant up until I asked for an exchange. I almost had to argue my point that as a customer I wasnt satisfied with the food. Now two of the cashiers were professional and wanted to work with me and listen to my concerns. I appreciated. They acted accordingly how you should treat this situation. but the older staff and an aggressive male staff member were not hospitable and had terrible customer service.....I was told to buy another burger. When I said "I just spent 50.00 on my family I should get a burger I like. I'm diabetic this is first thing I bit into and I dont like it." "Why did you order something you didnt like?" Was what I was asked....why you ask? because I was curious about the burger and the garlic aioli sauce that taste nothing like an aioli sauce was not advertised on your burger ad as a flavour. I felt very insulted how I was treated as a customer. I attend here almost monthly with my family. Hope they change how they treat unsatisfied customers and be more professional in future. This Male staff member made me feel as if I was taking the money out of his pocket. This has changed my view of this AnW for the future. As I asked I to speak with manger and they sent out him. To talk down to me and make me feel dumb for ordering something new......in future I'll just stick to the classics. As I dont feel like going through something like this again......

This is one of my favorite places to stop at on our way home from a long trip.The food and service are always delicious but today sadly our onion rings were hard and cold and our fries cold and unappetizing. Burgers are consistently decent with lettuce wraps possible (and they give a bunch of lettuce too which is much appreciated). Ive had my drive thru orders messed up more often than I'd like, but the orders are pretty particular so I'm not surprised when something gets missed. They're a good about fixing the mistakes when they occur. I probably rely on A&W burgers for family meals more than I'd admit!

When I walked in all of the staff were huddled in the corner behind the counter chatting and counting change. There was only one young girl working who was paying attention to the customers. My fries were good but my chicken was cold and hard. A woman that the staff obviously knew came in and she proceeded to walk behind the counter to get pop. Very unprofessional to be counting change loudly, giving cold not fresh food, and allowing someone who is not working to go behind the cash.

A LONG REVIEW, BUT WORTH THE READ: My specific experience with this Glendale joint & why after 2 years of patronage, I give them a 1 star (I urge you to go to Lake Street when you can). Mainly drive thru, I was used to them always screwing up my order, putting pickles on burgers when I've specifically requested them not to, & even asked they read it back as to make sure they've gotten it correct. It basically it means I have to wait longer, & it's a pity that they keep wasting food. They mess up the order 2 out of 5 times probably, & before we pull away, I check through the bags to ensure they're correct. Last night, I decided to go in with my mother in law & two children for a sit down meal. I ordered: Two chicken buddy burger meals (no pickles on both burgers, just mayo on ONE burger), both with fries & chocolate milk. A teen burger combo (onion rings, coffee with 3 milks) And just a beyond meat burger (which I always order as a veggie burger) with no onion. I've ordered these orders so many times I can do it with my eyes closed & by heart. When I got my order for sit down, it was the chicken buddy burgers with mayo and pickle on both. I tried to scrape it off but my 5 year old was so upset that my mother in law requested a new one. They reluctantly obliged. When my mother in law and I got our burgers, they were both teen burgers, with cheese, bacon, etc... And not the "veggie" burger I ordered. When I went to the counter & explained the issue, I was met with incredible rudeness. The girl said "Go back to the table, she's probably eating yours." Confused I went back, double checked, but no, they were as I thought, both meat, cheese, etc. I once again go back to the counter, and I said my order was wrong, starting with the mayo and pickles on the chicken buddy's, and now not even giving me a veggie burger. She STILL won't fix my order. She's literally the rudest, lack of understanding Canadian culture & manners, but I was disgusted & baffled. Finally the manager comes up, finds the receipt & shows me "this is what you paid for." I said "Yes, but it's not what I ordered, there's no screen on the register showing me what I ordered." He literally argues with me. Then he says "We didn't give you a veggie burger because that's a different thing from a beyond meat burger." Again, baffled. It still didn't explain why I was given a teen burger, which I said to him. He continued to say that they didn't make a mistake. Again, maybe it's cultural difference, but I'm sorry, if you don't understand the Canadian mentality of social conduct, you shouldn't be running a business in Canada & dealing with Canadian citizens. Finally I am feeling upset & embarrassed because he's preaching to me about how I ordered the wrong thing in front of the whole place, everyone is looking. I say "just give me a beyond meat burger, I'll pay again, I don't care, I just want dinner." They finally make me one for free after being extreme rude, saying "if you don't like the burger we'll fix it." well, why didn't you just say that to begin with!? He finally comes back to the table and says "Here is your veggie burger." And I felt the steam come out of my ears. I say "I thought you said a veggie burger is a different thing from beyond meat, now why are YOU calling it a veggie burger if I was so wrong?" He says "yes, the beyond meat is a veggie burger." I can't even eat, I'm so upset, mortified, humiliated, my children are upset and distressed. I can feel the tears welling in my eyes, after my children witnessed me being a verbally accosted by this man. I walk up and I tell him he's lost a good paying customer. I tell the girl who rung me in that if she can't take responsibility for her mistakes, she shouldn't be dealing with people. They literally shrug. Being talked down to by this man in the way I was, how his employee wouldn't take responsibility, all felt super personal. I think it's an issue of this male manager not caring about Canadian ideals or having any cultural respect for women. Honestly, worst retail experience of my life.

Had the plant based burger with a bottled water and sweet potato fries ????. Very very good, unbelievable actually, I honestly couldn't tell it wasn't meat. If you were on the fence as to whether or not to try it, definitely try it! Absolutely delicious, no kidding wow. Staff were friendly, food arrived fast, only complaint I had was they were out of paper towel in the bathroom and no air hand dryer (weird) other than that, store was clean, couldn't ask for more from a fast food establishment.

No longer fast food. Unfortunately this restaurant has gone quite downhill since new ownership/management in 2021. I've had several bad experiences, but today was bad enough for me to come write this review. I was 2nd car in drive thru, only other vehicle was already at pick-up window. My order was two burger combos, and I had a coupon, so I hit redeem on my phone while making my order. I sat in the drive-thru for just over 15 minutes waiting for my order... I know because I screenshot my coupon which had only 5 mins left (from 20) before expiring! This is at 6pm in evening, when maximum staff should be on to provide prompt service! It's really too bad, as the previous management and staff provided such great service. Sorry, best to avoid.

Had the mozza burger and fries. The fries seemed like a new recipe and were better than before. The burger however was tiny and not worth $13 (combo price). It was smaller than a mcdouble and severely acked that A&W flavor. I also had the onion rings and root beer and both were amazing, hence the 3 out of 5 star rating.

In general I like A&W but this experience was less than ideal. Coffee was too sweet and no cream... food came with no condiments that I asked for nor utensils. Sorta spaced out, unconcerned, and general lack of attention. Oh, and then it was my fault cuz I asked for two sugars? Come on.

A&W is by far the best place you could go for an ice cold root beer. I wouldn’t consider going to the store to buy a bottle, i would exclusively go to A&W. The quality of their food is greasy, but good in return. Also the staff is very nice. Great fast food restaurant.
