Had heard great things about the place. Drove up from Toronto only to find it closed and with a sign at the door saying that they would be closed from Dec 20th to Jan 6th... maybe would have been nice if you hade changed your greeting on your voicemail letting people know about the holiday schedule change? Or update the hours on Google?

So great this small local restaurant is open for dining outdoors. The food is not very modern but decent. It would be nice to see some vegetarian options and perhaps some homemade modern dishes. Clearly locals have been frequenting for many years and like the food. I would definitely go more often if there were some healthier and more modern choices but overall I'm supportive of going to keep local restaurants in business.

Really enjoyed their breakfast. (Ordered at lunch time) My child was disappointed to receive chicken fingers instead of "Dino nuggets" I found their menu a bit expensive but over all the food and service was great.

Mom's Resturant is my wife's and mine favourite place to dine out in Midland. I had the prime rib special, was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy, just as good or better than the Keg's. Great family restaurant.

Mom's has implemented changes due to covid, they now have a lot of safely spaced out tables outside too! All the servers wore masks! We went for a late breakfast on a Friday morning. Service was awesome and the food was also incredible. We're going back for sure! Recommended! ????????????????????

Food was good no doubt , but here is my comment , we are a visible minority got to this place after looking at reviews. While getting to table we noticed the portions they serve are good , but our plates have relatively much smaller portion . I was pointing this out to my wife and she was refuting the theory, and in between she noticed a manager was roaming around tables asking everyone that their food was okay , and guy didn’t care to come to our table . We weren’t welcome .

I wish I could rate this place better because it's a staple in town. However over the course of the last 5 years this place has a food quality that never meets the quality i remember. The breakfast is totally adequate and in non COVID times they have a great salad bar. Nothing wrong with this place, but nothing that great either.

As I've only just discovered this restaurant, I can only comment on breakfast, which was delicious. I had the Vegetarian Omelette and my husband had the Hungry Person Breakfast. The restaurant was clean. The service was fast and friendly. The food delicious. This may well become our regular breakfast place, and we look forward to trying them out for dinner, as well.

Been a customer since it first opened, lately, the past month and tonight not happy with the food, had scrambled eggs and bacon,, the bacon was do hard I couldn't eat it, seemed like it had been around all day and reheated several times. I had them get me another serving of bacon. A month ago was in for dinner, had the hot hamburger, used to be really good but this time meat was over done, hard on the outside, since the owner has been away, place has gone downhill.

Employee’s are friendly and welcoming, however the wait times and food are not ideal. Waited nearly 35-40 minutes for food to be made and when it did arrive my fiancee’s order was incorrect which added another 10 minute wait for her meal to be prepared. Finally eating the food it was mediocre at best. Nothing special to make you want to come back. This 1st visit will be my last.

The french onion soup was the best I have had in a long time. Not too salty. Done right. Our family all enjoyed our meals. Not sure if the syrup used is realy syrup or not but it was really good as per my husband.

Good homemade food. Prices are modest to high. I had the buffet roast beef dinner special which was delicious, the only exception that the salad bar was pretty picked over. My partner had the fish and chips which she also enjoyed. The only downside to the experience would be the service. We had a young server who never returned to refill coffee or ask if we needed anything. He was quite attentive with the other tables however so we were not sure if he thought we were younger than the other guests or if it was because we were a party of two and the other tables were 5+. Either way we suspected he was less interested in our tip as compared to the other guests.

Enjoyed Lunch today. But please do not vacuum while we are eating. We had guest with us. He was in the restaurant business for years and was mortified by seeing the wait staff vacuum around us. Use a carpet sweeper if you feel the need to clean the carpet before your next customer. Great service, great food otherwise.

Breakfast was pretty good; tasty, filling and great portion for the price. Decent coffee and service was okay. Timing on table orders was in need of improvement as the table next to us ordered at the same time as each other (4) and two of the patrons had their meals 1/2 consumed before the other two got theirs delivered.

The atmosphere is excellent. They have patio seating in a white tent and with garden-like furniture as well as inside seating if you find it too hot. The waitress, Helen, is very nice. The place gives a homey feel. The beef barley soup was average; didn't have much beef or barley taste to it. It tasted like all the ingredients were thrown in together last minute. The club chicken sandwich that I ordered was excellent though!!

***POOR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION*** Went on a Sunday morning for breakfast. When I first sat down there was an ant on my table, at the time I wasn't too worried. After the food arrived I seen another ant, and this time I called a waitress over to let her know. She said she would tell the owner. Our waitress came over and said, " I heard you have some ants at your table. We have this problem every year we just haven't been sprayed yet." I said, I understand no worries just wanted to let you know. The owner finally came over and said the same thing as our waitress did and added if he knew there was ants he would have seated us elsewhere as he was the one that seated us. By the time the conversations were over there was a total of 5 or 6 ants that had been on the table. The owner even killed one. Not at any point did any one of those individuals offer an apology. All they did was justify the fact that they hadn't been sprayed yet and that's why there was ants. Didn't even have the decency to even comp our coffee. Poor customer satisfaction!!! On a good note the food wasn't bad and the staff is always friendly. Unfortunately I will not be returning. I have ate breakfast here often and a simple apology would have avoided this review.

Great place to visit when in Midland! Good selection of comfort foods and our favourite place for breakfast when in town. You can see all of the staff working hard to keep the restaurant clean and safe and follow the provincial guidelines while still serving up tasty food and fast and friendly service. The staff are amazing!

Service was excellent, food was good but with the prime rib, I expected more. The gravy was delicious, Yorkshire pudding nicely done but the prime rib was a little chewy. I don't know if it was because of the thick cut or that it was a little more cooked then the medium rare, that I requested. I would go back to try other items on the menu.

Had an amazing experience! They're patio was full on a Sunday morning, and it was going to be a 30 minute wait. We understood and were willing to wait. The gentleman we spoke with then came outside to let us know they had a table figured out. They grabbed a picnic table from behind the resturant and set up for us! Unfortunately, it started raining and they rushed us inside and had a table set up and waiting. Our waitress, Jessie, was very couteous, friendly, and helpful!! And the food!!! It was SO good!!!! I will be talking about mom's and our amazing experience for a lone time to come! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We went in for brunch on Thanksgiving day. Ordered Waffles, Blueberry Pancakes, Vegetarian Omlette, and Eggs Florentine. It was the Hollandaise sauce on the Florentine that was the only disappointment. Everything else was great. Service was awesome. Table was received pretty quickly. Clean and classy restaurant.

My family has a cottage in Midland and have been coming here for generations and generations. The food was delish! Just like a home cooked meal.. but they added love. The staff maybe me feel so welcome as if I was just hanging out with my friends. It felt so nice to go out after a year of being stuck at home in a pandemic and I am so happy this was the restaurant I got to go to. I will definitely be coming back and I will order 2 bowls of soup instead of one because when I got home I was sad I didn't have anymore.

Son and I stopped in after a visit to Discovery harbour. Spaghetti and Meat balls was good (leftovers in the fridge), and he enjoyed his breakfast (available all day). Took off one star because the salad that comes with the spaghetti and meat balls was rather small, but maybe I'm just picky.

Went for dinner with family. They have a nice patio in the rear of the dining area which easily accommodated the 18 of us plus room for likely 10 more persons. Our waitress was fantastic, very courteous, efficient, organized. The food was excellent & plentiful. Definitely one of our families favorite spots to dine. We have also been here for breakfast on occasion and it is also excellent.

Great family restaurant!! The food was excellent and portions were large. My husband and I both had the ribs with fries. Fall off the bone, juicy and full of delicious flavour! They offered a huge variety of pies for dessert which we would have loved to have tried but we were so full after our meals, there was no way we could have eaten another bite. The decor is rustic and a bit dated but VERY cozy and very clean. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. Staff are very friendly and attentive without being annoying. We will definitely go back again and will try to leave room for the pie!

The service is very good. I had the Philly cheesesteak and although good, it was nowhere near the best I've had. My biggest complaint about the cheesesteak was that it was an open face sandwich rather than a traditional Philly cheesesteak.

The only reason this place gets 1 star is because service was covid compliant and server friendly. Ordered a prime rib sandwich au jus. Oil floated on top of the au jus, which was flavorless. The meat was so dry and tough I couldnt even cut it with a knife and it full of grissol. It was completely inedible. I did eat the fries, but they were cheap frozen fries. I only ate them as we were not asked how it was until the end. I was offered another meal, but my family had finished theirs by then. Too late. My friend had a boring western sandwich that he had to slather in ketchup for taste. Won't go back.

A nice family restaurant. Excellent food and friendly staff. I love their coconut cream pie, but you have to get their fast as it's made Friday and sells out fast. The owner takes an active roll as a roaming host and is always warm and happy to see return guests. Full menu available all day.
