A sub par establishment with friendly staff. Overpriced to say the least. I have no issues with paying for quality food but the brisket I ordered was cold and over cooked. The blonde bartender that made the drinks was taking shots with customers and seemed to be intoxicated and classless. I also waited 15 mins for a “custom house” drink that the server informed me that they did not have the ingredients for so they mixed up something else to make up for it without asking my preference or second choice. Nice atmosphere but not worth the price. I don’t think I will give it another chance.

Great food and a great beer selection Just went for another visit, food and beer were still great, and then the local stoner came in, wasted out of his mind and joined a few friends at the bar. Extremely loud, every other word was f-this. There is no way this guy should have been served and everyone knew it. I would have stayed and enjoyed another beer but this was a total turn off No one working there cared. DON'T BRING YOUR FAMILY after 7. This place was an easy 5, too bad.

We always come for the Old Fashions but stay for the food. Last week was the Kettle nachos and pull pork sandwich, both were great. Everything I have tried is really good, warning about the Red Wine Braised Brisket , it is prepared a little tough (not bad) just different than what I usually expect for "Braised", still really tasty but a little tough. Fish was a beautiful piece of meat but the deepfryer was up way too much and batter burnt with mushy fish. Nice to sit on the patio but servers apparently have to walk to far to serve, when we first showed up we had to yell inside as did the next couple after we were almost done eating. It's not watched well.

On a day trip with my friend and thought we'd stop in Maple for lunch..Can't say enough good things about the service or the food! Delicious..what a fabulous surprise. I had the grilled chicken/avocado on ciabatta bun...Soooo great and huge.. only made it through 1/2 of it. Hubby is super happy cause he got my leftovers when I got home. Next trip to Midland..will definitely go here for lunch ????

This is one of my favourite restaurant in town We made our visit last summer with two different friend groups and all of our friends can say the same thing excellent service not to mention the food was exceptional as well as the drinks Menu Do to anti-vaccin fiasco we are ordering food to go to support our local 5 start restaurant. We hope you will enjoy the food as much as we do .

We celebrated our son's 19th birthday at the Maple Canadian Pub in August and the staff went above and beyond to make the dinner very special. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent and we had a very memorable evening. Saundra came out to make sure our meals were good and wished my son a happy birthday. Nice craft beer selection. Side salad is a cut above. Ribs were tender and not fatty. Delicious mashed potato side and veggies still crisp. Chicken burger enjoyed as well.

Where do I begin....I don’t understand how this restaurant ever got a good review at all. Firstly, the restaurant inside was HOT, literally no air. It’s July! Some air conditioning or fans would be nice. Secondly, my espresso martini had coffee grinds in it and was warm, so was my husband’s beer. My child’s macaroni had so much garlic it was very overwhelming. The crostini with our mussels was not crusty at all, it was very stale and the mussels had lots of sand. The rest of our meals overall lacked anything to be desired. Plus the ambiance is SO dark, probably so you won’t see what you’re eating. I would never go back. Very disappointing.

The food is great but the service was terrible. I don't think I have ever had such terrible service. The young man was very unsanitary he picked the glasses up from the top. He was dripping in sweat on the tray. One meal came and then we wait 20 minutes for for the other 3 meals to come. We had to ask for ketchup 4 times and then I went and got it myself. We had to ask for drinks to many times and never got them until we talked to the manager. This man shouldn't be a waiter.

A couple of friends and I visited Midland over the weekend and had dinner here, not only was the waiter incredibly sweet and friendly he also swooped into action and saved me when I started choking on a piece of my food! The food was incredible and I am eternally grateful to the waiter for saving me from dying lol if I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would, highly recommended.

We dined at the Wye Heritage site. I had the bison burger and my companion had the chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches were excellent. However, I was extremely disappointed with the accompanying fries and the service. The service was extremely slow. People who arrived after us received their drinks and dinners before us. We waited a particularly long time for the waitress to return with our drinks and take our orders. When she brought our food, the fries were salted quite liberally. I can’t tolerate much salt and when I asked why they’d been salted, she said that was the way they came. When I mentioned I can’t have them that way, I was told I should have asked that they be unsalted. I pointed out that the menu doesn’t mention they come that way, but instead of offering to rectify the situation, she said she’d have that oversight corrected. To me, that was an unacceptable response and rather rude. I’d been really looking forward to having fries! I don’t order them very often, usually sneaking a few from my husband’s plate while ordering a side salad for me, but had decided to treat myself. I ended up with disappointment and an inedible side!

Really delicious meal. The care that went into the flavour combinations and presentation was indicative of a very highly skilled chef. The waitress prepared the old fashioned cocktail tableside and it was quite the show! Definitely a gem of a restaurant and perhaps an unexpected one for a small town.

Maple Canadian Pub is a bar and and a restaurant at once. The food is truly excellent and prices are very fair. The beer on tap offers something for every taste. Customer service is very polite. You can sit inside or on a little terrasse on King Street.

I LOVED this place. First, the House Beer is really good (the one I am pointing to in the menu photo). I usually try different beers in a bar but I had to repeat this one. We got the Bison Burger and it was delicious. I was very impressed how well seasoned it was. We poutine was sooo good. Amzing gravy! The service was perfect. They gave a great suggestion when we did the order and we even got beer on the house. My least favorite item was the dessert. If you are on Midland please check this plaxe out!! I will definitely come back when in Midland.

Overall, I thought this place was great! I had their special of the night, which was a sirloin with a lobster topping, asparagus, vegetables, and mashed potatoes for $32. Very tasty! Waitress was also good, as was the atmosphere. Already recommended to a friend!

The service was so poor we had to go to the bar to ask for water. We asked numerous times when our food was coming after people at the bar and other tables, all of whom came in after us were served. The waitress comped the drinks and said she would be right back with the bill. She didn't come back. We pulled out what was probably too much money and left. Yuck. Never again.

Eaten at Midland location five times in two years, very hit and miss, both service and food. Dishes seem to change/substitutions based on what is in the kitchen, or the chef? Servers generally ok to pretty bad, don't really know the food, wander off, plonk all the food on one end of the table, didn't follow our request to not serve the kids first. Our experience 3 weeks ago was great, last week for a friend's birthday we were embarrassed (bison burger was cold, small portion of calamari on a bed of mush, told mashed potatoes was the side but got some cheesy creamy potato mush didn't fly with lactose intolerant kid; shaved coffee brisket texture like was like it had been pe-chewed; pineapple martini totally different from previous drink, told they were out of pineapple wedges...

On the one hand, the food is fabulous and the decor is great! On the other hand, although they did agree to seat and serve me, the waitstaff asked me embarrassing questions about "why are you alone" and how "sorry they feel for (me) being alone"; and they did serve the groups and couples (who came in after me) before me. So I suggest if you go there, go with a partner or group! (PS I was alone because I drive 3 hours/day to provide health care to that community and I got stuck due to the weather)

Service was excellent. Accoustics were poor, it was very loud despite not being full. Menu is different, not sure it's to my tastes. Much of the menu might be more appealing in the winter. Wine markup is significant, if I was planning on having a few bottles, I would choose another restaurant locally. Food was okay, but wasn't overly impressive. It may cater to a younger or different audience than me. I likely will not return.

So sorry to say that we were very disappointed in our meal here. The calamari looked like it was hand ‘dusted’ in flour.......just terrible. The beet salad consisted of very little wilted Arugula lettuce with tons of canned beets, close to a full cup, and about a table spoon of feta.......worst salad I have ever had. Service was very slow and I had to go inside the restaurant to request another beer as service was not coming after we received our meal. I do not recommend eating here.

Presentation of food was good and taste was good had Bison Burger, but will never return. The waitress did not ask us if we wanted anything to drink, had to ask our selves. They didn't have two of the drinks we wanted. Said they did not have any milk in house when we ordered tea. Worst of all the bathrooms were disgusting!! Not cleaned (sinks or toilets), very dirty and a very strong urine smell. No thank you

Just tried to call and place a takeout order. The lady said “yeah just give me one second” and put me on hold at 5:11pm. I waited 8 minutes and hung up. Just tried to call back at 5:38 and the line is still busy. I could hear the staff chatting in the back ground. Really professional. This was our first experience and our last.

Like Cuba... You don't travel there for the food. Well aside from the view, and mederately pleasant server there really isn't much to be desired at Maple Canadian Pub near Ogdens Beach. We visited based on a friend's recommendation and naturally we don't hold him accountable. We ordered a ceasar salad, calamari, 3 fish and chips a brisket and a pitcher of sangria. I'm going to go out on a whim and suggest that perhaps the dryness to our fish and brisket is a result of frozen foods that havent been purged as a result of covid. But the most frustrating was that the chef is dropping his fries in the same oil he's dropping his fish. Yuk! At the end of the day... Post tip we left $222 at the pub and won't be spending another penny!

Enjoyed a delicious salmon dinner! The salmon was moist and very tasty with the maple horseradish glaze. The rice and Muskoka salad were perfect sides. Our server, Laura, was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. I will certainly return.

Marlene and her staff did a fantastic job on Sunday hosting our neighbourhood Christmas get-together. The servers were attentive, the food was presented beautifully and all at the same time for 20 guests...not an easy feat, but accomplished with ease by the Maple Canadian staff. Passed threw Midland this past Wednesday night looking for a restaurant that was open late....Maple to the rescue open till 2am. Great service, amazing food and excellent atmosphere. The menu had a perfect selection of delicious apps and meals. Our waitress was on the ball, made us excellent drinks and made us feel right at home. Tried to have a dinner there with some overseas guests before they set off home. We should have went elsewhere. My dinner was served wrong. My partners dinner was served cold, and our two guests had there plates taken from the table while they were still eating. Was a big disappointment. I will certainly not go back.

Since we were employees of Wye/maple leaf we received vouchers for a free meal at the Wye heritage site. It was a good thing they were 50$ vouchers because that’s about the least amount of money you can spend for a meal there. It was also a good thing that it was a free meal. Most of the staff at Wye/maple leaf threw their meals in the trash. The food was horrible. Staff was very friendly though. If you want a nice atmosphere for a beer it’s a great place. If your bringing your appetite you might be slightly disappointed. I know we all were.

Went here for lunch with my mother for my birthday food was delicious as always but the service was horrifying! The lady the seated us forgot about us when we tried to get someone’s attention the were to busy chatting with each other or seating other guest. When we actually did order and got our meal not even two minutes after receiving our meal the lady came and asked if we wanted take out containers! They are rude so suggested if you are wanting food from here order out the food is amazing the service is not!!!!

Our first experience here.... The restaurant was severely understaffed for the number of patrons (two servers for the entire restaurant)... the servers we unfriendly and inattentive. We were not approached unless we tried to get attention. The food was not worth the price we paid. Two of us had burgers which were so salty that we couldn’t finish them. Mac and cheese tasted like Kraft dinner.. salads we OK. Mussels and calamari were average. Worst way to spend $300. Would have been better off ordering pizza and donating the rest. Probably ok for just drinks and watching sports. We were disappointed.

Food and service is excellent. I would love to see some chicken on the dinner menu. Noise level is high. It would be nice if sound could be baffled some way. Perhaps dividers?

Great food for big and small people :) the service was exceptional too. We enjoyed the Montreal smoked meat, curry soup and the kids slider. All were amazing as was the pint of rye beer and wine. Thanks. We will be back!

I wish I could it it zero stars. Arrived this evening at around 8pm and stood around waiting to be acknowledged for about 10 minutes or so, during which time all 3 servers passed me like I was invisible!! Eventually we gave up and left without even trying out the place. First and last time we'll come here. This was the Port McNicoll location. Definitely will try the Midland one given the good reviews.

Excellent food and great dining experience. I highly recommend this pub if you're looking for an upscale pub that cares about the food and presentation. I wasn't surprised to find out the owner of this pub also owns "The North" in Barrie, one of our favourite restaurants!
