Food was okay, not exceptional. Service was slow. The worst part was the dish the guys ordered braised short ribs with potatoes, they didn't receive any veggies aside the dish, whoever plated this should be embarrassed. Don't expect bread with pasta you need ask for it. The food was okay but the was too high for the food delivered. Probably won't be back soon. Our group tries restaurants around Midland once a month. Service was slow.

Excellent Food, Wine, and Service - 2 visits in two weeks. First week tried the braised oxtail and gnocchi - ongosh sooo good. The second week ordered the chicken parmigiano (because my husband ordered the oxtails and gnocchi), or was delicious - huge portion, enough for leftovers. Five stars all around, to the service, the ambience, the wine selection and the food. A must try is the Korean Fried Cauliflower. Deliciously crunchy yet perfectly moist with just the right amount of savoury. The mains prove to be a healthy serving size of culinary delights. The Roaster, gnocchi, fish and braised beef each got the thumbs up. Closing out the meal is cheesecake to die for that even the Golden Girls themselves would relocate from Miami. And made on the premises too. Will definitely be going back when I visit Midland again.

Lilly's is now our favourite restaurant in town! Our daughter has numerous dietary restrictions which prompted the host to have Lilly (she is actually one of the chefs) to attend our table. Lilly was gracious and informed- offering alternatives to menue suggestions for our daughter to consider. The result: the kitchen plated a fabulous flavour-full entre. Thank you to all staff. Had dinner here this evening. We were greeted by a friendly smile and hello upon walking into the warm, cozy and comfortable restaurant. Decorated very nice. Classy and elegant Decor. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Dinner was amazing....huge portions (we have lunch for tomorrow). Taste, temperature and presentation all 100%. Don’t go out much any more due to covid. This was a huge treat. Can’t wait to return. Limes and Cointreau please please. Support local business’s please the old phrase. “Use it or lose it”. We have never expected such a perfection and quality in food in a small town like Midland. We've had the best fish with veggetables since we returned from Europe. The Roaster Pasta was as delicious. We never take leftovers, but this time we couldn't resist it. Too bad it's closed on Sundays ;)

We were advised to make a reservation so we first tried online booking from their site. This is not functioning at this time. I called and left message to make reservation for 5 pm at around 2 pm. They open for 4:30 pm. I never got a call back and we decided to go anyway. I mentioned this to I suspect the owner who greeted us at the door and she was apologetic and said she would see what happened. They took us in with no reservation. They were booked pretty solid for the night. The decor was nice the food was good very tasty. We had regular bruschetta and the calamari appetizers both were good size portions and tasty. We both had the chicken carbonara main and very rich and good portions as well. The service was good from server to kitchen. We also enjoyed the desserts one was the caramel cheesecake and the other was chocolate mouse brownie. I would recommend this place and will be returning in future.

An intimate, lively and laid back experience. Lilly's has a modern restaurant appearance with a traditional family restaurant approach one can sense the moment they walk in the door. From that point of walking in they do everything right. Service is personal, immediate, casual and fun. The staff are engaged and friendly. They like being at work. Apathy is not in their vocabulary. The wine, cocktail and beer menus are well planned with selection. All the right choices, no repetition and something for all. The food menu has just the right amount of variety and choice. Hits the Italian greatest hits with some influence from other cuisines to make the menu an unexpected pleasure. Servings are the exact right size. You will not leave hungry nor feeling overstuffed. It's just the right balance which dining should be. It's a total experience. Do not go in thinking you can half a half hour meal and make a 7pm movie. This is your evening experience and the time spent is worth it. My wife and I had desert, a main and dessert. We were with her parents, two friends and our 7 week old son. We came away feeling cared for and respected. Our server found a candle for our homemade cheesecake knowing it was my wife's birthday. They unfortunately were out of birthday candles and he went beyond to make sure she had something to celebrate the dessert. I'm not a dessert eater and I would have this cheesecake daily. I have worked in restaurants for 25 years, managed for 20 years in small independent venues to running large corporate stores. Lily's does an incredible job combining the two worlds. The family and the staff should be proud of what they have achieved. If you have the chance book a table a Lilly's. It is dining in the truest sense. You are there to enjoy, eat, drink and experience in the company of friends; the ones you brought with you and the ones that work there.

I came to Midland for business from the U.S.A. I work in Philadelphia and New York City so I know good Italian. While trying to decide between whether or not even wanted Italian or something else. The owner Lilly asked if I could be helped or had any questions. I didn't know she was the owner at first but I can tell you that her knowledge of the menu and description of the food made want Italian. Lilly gave me great recommendations and mentioned that they could customize any of the dishes to my liking. I ended up going with the chorizo sausage fettucini in a very light cream sauce. It was absolutely delicious. I wish it had been a bit spicier but it was still very good. She also recommended a few beers as I told her I was picky. Once again a home run in the selection. The atmosphere was great, the food was delicious, the beer was icy cold, and the conversation at the bar made for a very enjoyable dinner. I will absolutely be coming back and bringing my co-workers along.

You absolutely must dine here if you are in the area. Fantastic selection of food, mussels and Thai Curry were divine, heaping portions too. The service was exceptional, we went with a large group and they handled it like true professionals. We felt warm and welcome and even when we stayed a titch past closing, we did not feel rushed at all. I have not stopped dreaming about the Thai Curry since!

Not too many Italian restaurants in Midland, in fact, this might be the only one. It's a good thing their food is awesome! I've eaten here numerous times, had many of their appetizers and entrées, and have never been disappointed. My favorite dish is actually not Italian ironically enough, their Thai Curry Pasta is amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and equally appropriate for a romantic dinner or an outing with friends. They have high chairs as well. Prices vary, I would lean towards moderately expensive, but the portion sizes are huge! If you're looking for a great place to eat, you can't go wrong with Lilly's.

Food, atmosphere, and service were all phenomenal! The portion siz eof the Chicken Parmigiana was massive and it was also delicious! The Short Rib was very well cooked and the Spaghettini was great! I also highly recommend the Brie Wrapped in Phyllo, Calamari, and Caesar Salad (very garlicky). Overall an amazing experience and will definitely be back!

Best Italian Food In Simcoe County - For Sure !! Local friends have told us about Lily's Restaurant many times, so I decided to drop in for dinner Sat.Dec.10,2016 on a 7:00pm reservation by myself.....one of the best decisions I've made in a long time ! I was promptly seated at a large round table with plenty of space, as I like to read the newspaper when dining alone. My server: Monica was exemplary in every way: from seating me, to taking my order, to checking on me infrequently, as I would expect. She carries on nice conversations and is very pleasant to be served by. She is also very easy on the eyes, which made it a really nice experience. I always select the same dish whenever I try an Italian restaurant for the first time....pasta fruitti di mare (topped with shrimp,scallops,etc,etc). I started my dinner with the bruschetta which was super delicious and 4 portions large enough to feed at least 2-3 people. Lucky that I had my stretchy pants on ! I had a glass of Masi Pinot Grigio, and a glass of lemon water. Dinner ended with a double espresso and a really nice + light chat with Monica. ONE NEGATIVE about the atmosphere is that it is extremely noisy; is it coincidence that all of the patrons all speak very loudly all at once ? Lily should consider installing some sound-deadening material on the walls, in place of some of the artwork. I expect to return many more times in future, and will request to be served exclusively by Monica.

I love this place. It's a warm and inviting place for comfortable casual dining. Family operated, service is friendly and home town friendly although sometimes stretched. The menue is well thought out, the portions are ample and food is well prepared. Prices are reasonable and i find the wine prices to be reasonable. On street parking is usually ample and accessible. It's a very easy walk for marina residents. Reservations recommended. Enjoy

The food was excellent, no complaints there, although in an Italian restaurant it was odd that the entrees did not come with bread. The service, on the other hand, was mediocre. The server was pleasant enough when he was there, but ignored our table for long stretches of time. We waited especially long to order, and to get our bill. Meanwhile, he seemed to be paying much more attention to other tables. I'm not sure why he thought we were the ones to ignore. He would have received a much better tip had he simply visited our table more often.

Was expecting so much more for the price. I don't mind paying the price when the quality matches. It feels like they use expensive ingredients without the full knowledge of how they should be used? I'm not sure, but our group found a lot of the food we ordered had a similar sauce/ flavour, with very slight tweeks between meals. The Gnocci was so overcooked that no one really enjoyed it as it was like mush in your mouth. Maybe dine in would be a better experience, but at that price I don't think I would give it another try.

Enjoyed excellent dinner here. Veal parmigana, chicken parmigana both excellent. The truffle ravioli is amazing! The chicken prosciutto was good (a bit dry but tasty none the less). Appetizers were calamari and wild mushroom bruchetta (both delicious). Dessert was Bailey's creme brule and was excellent. Decor was nice, warm and inviting. Will definitely return.

Every time I got I have excellent customer service! Today we arrived 30 minutes ahead of our schedule knowing that we may not be seated because they were hosting a large party (was informed of this when I made reservations). Within 5 minutes they were able to arrange a table for us! Now that is what I call great customer service! The staff are friendly and just awesome! The food has always been amazing! I find it really hard to chose what to order because everything sounds so good. Good thing is you can’t go wrong with any dish!!!! This resturant is one of my favourites! I will always be coming back!! Keep up the good work!!

Coming from an Italian background this food is not authentic at all ! I feel sorry for the people who go there thinking their getting real Italian cuisine....not even close. Please bring in a real Italian chef to teach you how to prepare real Italian food. I had the gnocchi with oxtail and it was over cooked and saturated in oil. My wife got the risotto with fish and it was awful; over cooked and in a tomato sauce! If your looking for authentic Italian food this is not the place...but it is Midland so you can't expect much.

First time checking out this restaurant as we are new(er) to the area. We ended up going with a party of 16 (Birthday Party!) - and I cannot say enough how absolutely amazing everything was. Not only was our party served by ONE person (I believe a co-owner?) but everything was HOT and served in very good time considering the restaurant was quite busy! I was actually amazed at the level of service from just one individual! Coming from a bigger city, with endless amazing dining options - finding a gem like this is the biggest treat! Cannot wait to go back. I had the Thai Curry (yes, in an Italian place...trust me, it was AMAZING) and my husband the Short ribs - both were outstanding. OH and we had the Phyllo Brie to start and i probably could have ended the meal there, it was that delicious and filling! I will dream about it LOL

Unfortunately I have had a TERRIBLE experience at Lilly's. Brought my friends from out of town and was raving about the restaurant.... Epic Fail. Service was terrible, appetizer was sent back without being touched, main course pasta was off the charts greasy (explanation was that when the parmesan is blended in with it that the sauce separates - WHAT???), server never returned to the table after our dinner was served to see if dinner was okay, did we need anything else, ground pepper, cheese - nothing..... The appetizer and main course remained untouched but it did not occur to anyone to perhaps remove it from the bill.... Will never go back. So disappointed.

You want to taste Europe in a dish! This is the place to go. I have travelled all of Europe and Lilly’s is exactly the place to go. My experience was like a majestic symphony. Service was amazing. The knowledge of the wine and the combination of dishes was like music in my mouth. The flavours were explosive and well balanced. We had the wrapped Brie with mushrooms and truffles, escargot in creme sauce then strip steak and Portuguese potatoes and pesto. The wine that was suggested to us was California Cabernet Souvingon which accompanied our meal very well. The price of this meal was as expected for this quality. I will defiantly go back again. It was a dining experience to be remembered.

We had our first dinning experience tonight at Lillys. There was a mix up with our reservations. That said the manager was so accommodating and quickly resolved the mix up. Now let's get to the food. From the appetizer's through to the main course we were blown away. The flavors were amazing and the portions are generous. Service was top notch. As foodies are expectations were surpassed. The first few times it was great! I love this particular pasta, although when I wanted to order it, they didn't give it to me! Kinda put me out of my good mood???? And it took sooooooo long! I had been waiting for over an hour for my food! I tried to get the waitress' attention several times, but it came to the point when I actually had to get up and go to her. Kinda disappointing... Don't get me wrong though the food was very good but some waiters are better than others...

if i could i would give zero stars. At first the bring despite i have orderd diet coke a pespsi and the don´t take it back as i have refused it. then they were not able to prepare a bowle od pasta for my kids. Service is for me much much different. But it seems people like this kind of treatment. Never again. We were then at Phils simple but nice staff and very service orientated.

Food, wine, service, ambiance....excellent!! However, you really need to offer coffee at the end of the meal. Wine with dinner, dessert and coffee completes it for me. Pls add coffee/cappuccino to your menu! It is the Italian way!

We just ordered the cesar salad, the spaghetti with meatballs, the brie, the steak with potatoes veggies and some baked oiled bread. Simply the best, most delicious, perfectly prepared food I have eaten.....since the last time we ate here months ago. There is no way to sum up (and do justice) how wonderful this place, food and staff is. The food shows how much goes into it. One hundred stars. The meal compelled me to sit and eat for over an hour until it was all gone pausing breifly for air and finishing some of my kids plates once everyone left the table. The gumbo shrimp is my favorite but I'm glad we didn't order it tonight otherwise I may have exploded. Thanks you Lily's Italian Eatery

The manager of this place was rude and condescending to us. Ontario is going through a second spike with daily counts in the 400s (today). We made a reservation for the patio but we arrived to find out patio was closed off (last minute) by the manager who apparently was unable to check weather in advance (guess weather app or tv/radio wasnt available to him) . We came to find a restaurant jam packed with people which was very suprising. It's very worrying to see a establishment set up like this so we left. He didn't apologize for wasting our time. He could have simply called us back to let us know we were moved to the inside and we would have been fine to make other arrangements. Terrible experience. Will avoid always.

Great service , fabulous food, great variety of dishes from steak, to ltalion. I had a mushroom borchetta so good and steak med rare, done perfect . My husband had chicken carbonara he said it was excellent also.

The service was mediocre. They were not accommodating to our party as we were seated in a booth without room for someone with an injury. We asked to move tables and was told there was nothing they can do. We should have left at that point to avoid more disappointment. But we just stayed. Two of the menu items we wanted were not offered. Fine. The food was not as described. The calimari was so salty and missing the jalapenos and lemon. The fried mushrooms were tasteless. All our main dishes were over salted, the short rib was not a short rib. The ox tail gnocchi had two small pieces of meat and over salted. The veal parm was tasteless(except the salt of course) with burnt veggie and ragu pasta. Over all...will never go back. Not worth the price for the over salted, tasteless food and rude service. So disappointing
