Dillion's is the best restaurant is Simcoe County (and likely beyond). The atmosphere, food and service is second to none. Ricky's passion for his food, business and ensuring the best customer experience has made our time spent at Dillion's something we cherish and look forward to. The beer selection on draft, the delectable coffee bar and the outstanding work of local artists are simply the 'cherry on top'. If you're in Midland or planning to visit, you can't miss this place, and the experience that comes with it. Make a reservation - early, come hungry and don't forget your appy. My wife and I were recently at Dillons for lunch pizza. I was able to see the chef from our table, preparing our pizza and Caesar salad. I was horrified. He wore no gloves or mask and touched every part of our food with his bare hands. Not so bad with the pizza as it gets cooked in a very hot oven, but he handled every component of our salad and then pushed it around on the plate to make it look more presentable. YUCK!!! I described the whole episode to my wife as it was happening. Needless to say, we didn't touch the salad, only the pizza. As we were leaving we glanced back toward the chef and saw him, in plain view, still standing in the food preparation area, but now filling his face with what I assume was a pizza he made for himself. Mr. Dillon is definitely a skilled pizza maker! Dough that is crisp on the outside and a little chewy on the inside. Toppings that complement each other. Their menu changes on regular basis which sometimes isn't reflected online. Daily specials can be a real treat. Right now they are offering spaghetti and meatball. If you like garlic try their caesar salad. Very garlicky but incredibly tasty. In terms of desserts, again the options change regularly. I'd personally recommend the chocolate peanut butter pot!

Like many of the other reviewers I tried to walk in at 5:30 on a Saturday for a table for 2. Even though there was an empty table or two I was told that we needed a reservation. We promptly left and drove 5 minutes down the street to Pie Wood Fired Pizza where we were promptly seated and served no questions asked.

Ordered a Margherita Pizza for pickup. I was surprised how quickly it was ready. I arrived at the restaurant. The staff was very friendly, very pleasant. I was excited because I heard and read great reviews. When I arrived home I was so disappointed. I think they ran out of basil and tomato. It was all cheese. Not much flavour at all, and it was too small for what I paid. Maybe I will give it another try...I do believe in giving a restaurant a second try.

They have the best pizza. The staff are very friendly, except only if you show up 1 hour before they close, then they wouldn't be as friendly as usual. They also have the cleanest washroom which is a plus point. Again, best pizza ever.

Went there this past weekend for my moms bday. The staff were super friendly and a very inviting atmosphere. We were lucky to get a window seat too. I recommend making a reservation. The food was fantastic. Very acomadating to changing some of the toppings. I reccomend this place to everyone. It may seem a bit pricey but if you want great tasting pizza come here. They also have very nice tasting gluten free pizza too. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised that they have the muskoka craft beer on tap. Very good experience.

Very tasty. Unapologetically comfort food, fattening and cheesy. Customer service was on point. Restaurant was extremely busy during a weekday, in winter, in Midland! We ordered the Cesar’s pizza. We did not realize pancetta was a meat (we thought it was cheese), when the pizza came we thought it has come to the wrong table. The waitress saw our faces and our confusion and said: “Well, your two are clearly vegetarian.” Immediately reordered the pizza without the meat and refused to let us pay for the previous pizza even though it was entirely our fault. Thank you!

their pizza come out super fast, i ordered pickup over the phone and it was gonna be ready in five minutes! quality wise, it’s not too bad, i just wish for the price i paid for, there would be more value/contents on the pizza (like the mushroom in the mushroom sauce, or any of the meat contents). nonetheless very yummy, thin and crusty and greasy, like how i like my pizza! i ordered rustica, and asked if they could do half of the pizza with pesto sauce and they did! great people and service!

This place was very rude to me when making a reservation. They had room for me as long as I was friends with Richard the manager, but sent me rudely packing when I said I didn't know Richard. If you want to get people to like your restaurant, don't be so rude. I will pass on to anyone who asks me that this is NOT my idea of customer service. It sucks! I will be anywhere else for pizza but here when I am in Midland.

You can taste the love in every dish. The passion, the appreciation, the pride. They make great food, well balanced, beautiful, tasteful. I've told all my line cook friends they can learn from eating here. I don't know what the difference is, but we need more kitchens like Dillon' s. Friendly front of house. Only problem i had was their "espresso yourself" joke. I thought it would have been funnier if it was just "espresso 'self". But like thats not a reflection of anything important. They just missed the chance at a coffee pun. Not worth removing a star because EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME.

Honestly, the pizza is amazing, however, I just don't understand this place. We supported you throughout the pandemic at least 20 times via takeout even though several times you closed several hours prior to your actual closing time, which is annoying to say the least. Wednesday we came for a late lunch, around 3:30 your doors were open, people were seated inside and Yet we were turned away because you said you were taking an hour break to stock. Wait...what???!!! Are you actually kidding me? Since you don't seem to care about money, you must be rolling in it, or the locals that support your business, we will never be returning to Dillons even if you happen to be the only place open, which is very doubtful anyway. Such a shame.

Cozy little eat in so call ahead or hope for a spot at the bar. Caesar salad and app ribs were amazing. Both pizzas came hot and just cooked, excellent as well. Paula at the bar was great & very welcoming. Def worth a visit while in Midland. Called once, first gent simply said they were booked for 4 days, thanks for calling. Second call by my better half to a more helpful female who took the time to fit us in at the bar and was much more helpful. We’ll be back.

Great spot in Midland!! Visited last weekend for the second time. Service was much better now. The Pizza is every bit as good as you get in Italy. Caesar salad was fantastic, loved every garlicky bite, dressed but not over dressed. Amazing service, Les was such a pleasure, efficient yet super friendly. She just seemed to go the extra mile. Nice atmosphere, small so you need reservations to ensure you get a table.

Hands-down the BEST pizza place in Midland!!! We love it here and always have a good time and excellent meal!!! We’ve dined here many times, brought friends and even hosted a family event here last year for which the restaurant was very accommodating, and we were very grateful! Much praise to the warm and friendly staff that never cease to impress us, and Leslie (I hope you’re still there - we haven’t been in a while) you are the BEST! EVER!!! Every place needs one of you!!! Meal plan tip I’lll share: We purposely (and cleverly) over-order every time so that we can bring home leftovers to enjoy. When you wake up the next day and start raving about what an awesome pizza you had last night, and realize how much you’re craving more of it, you’ll be patting yourself on the back when you get to satisfy that craving by pulling out the leftovers, popping them in the oven and having them for lunch! Make sure you have some good quality olive oil and sea salt on hand to enjoy dipping the crust in!!! Mmmmmm!!!! Recommendation - book a reservation well in advance - this place is small and can get very busy. They also close rather early for a restaurant. (For this I would normally dock a star, but their great food and service more than makes up for this and giving them less than 5 stars would be unfair and misleading.)

This is a beautifully decorated restaurant with a rustic mid-day modern design, kind and friendly staff, but what does that matter? It's all about the food! We started our meal with a caramelized onion dip with warm peta on the side. The dip was creamy and delicious, the warm peta along side it was soft in the middle while maintaining firm on the outside. I would highly recommend this starter to anyone looking to start their meal off with a kick. Next we ordered the Decon pizza which was topped with 3 different kinds of meat, and 2 styles of cheese rested on a tastefully flavoured tomato sauce. Our waitress advised us to drizzle olive oil on top of the crispy crust and top it was a pinch of salt. The result was a perfectly salty crust with a soft fluffy inside. I was blown away by the taste. The crust on the Pizza had to be the best part of our whole meal. The pizza itself was delicious and incomparable to any chain restaurant pizza. We finished our meal off with the recommended Nutella cheese cake. The cheesecake was topped with a healthy layer of hardened Nutella, under it was a soft chocolate (or hazelnut) cheesecake resting on a crumbly crust. The crust had a taste unlike any I had tasted before, it was as if it had thyme or some other spice normally found in a dinner dish within it. These 3 layers together complemented each other perfectly. Our meal came to $48 for 2 of us, well worth every penny. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try REAL pizza.

Moving from the London (England), where you can get any style of food you want and all great quality, to midland. One of my big concerns was what the section of food would be here and how good it would be. Dillon’s instantly put my mind at ease. Their food is incredible and its far more than just pizza. The ribs are excellent as is the curry and the drinks complement the food very well. The service is second to none, every experience I have had there has been fantastic, the team that has been built there is incredible. There is a reason its fully booked most weekends! Try it, you wont be disappointed.

Rude waitstaff & undercooked pizza. DONT EAT HERE UNLESS YOUD LIKE TO GET SICK! The waitstaff was beyond rude from beginning to end of the phone call. So I send my husband to pick up the over priced pizzas as the experience I had on the phone was already horrible. He retuned with an undercooked margarita (no basil) and a very sad looking "deacon" which had very little to nothing on it. Disappointed with this place, went during the summer and it was phenomenal. Don't eat here!!

The service was great, and our waitress suggested that we share a ceasar salad, the ribs appetizer, and the pizza, so we could have the full Dillon's experience. Well that was great advice. ???? So Dillon's are our neighbors on the street. When I need to get anyway from my own business and go for delicious lunch, Dillon's is on my top 3! I always start with the order of ribs as appetizer. They I order a gluten-free pizza. Usually basic toppings on it because the pizza on its own is already so good. And the most amazing thing is the wood oven is right there at back while you waiting for your pizza you can see the chef working away. And I feel terrible for not remembering the name of the waiter. But if she my favourite blonde lady always so pleasant. Great place!!

Awesome wood fired pizza! Prices for pizza range between $14 - $21. Their ribs are amazing as well. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. Friendly service and great food make Dillon's a great place to grab a bite.

I just had the most heavenly GF pizza Neapolitana at Dillon's - a white Hail Caesar ($31), and a sublime decaf latte Barocco Senza, "naturally decaffeinated using the Swiss Water process method. Utilizing water, temperature and time, we serve a fully chemical-free, low acidity, decaffeinated gourmet coffee, which is smooth and smoky, with notes of brown toast"

You will not find a better combination of great food, attentive/friendly service, reasonable prices and fun atmosphere! The pizza is second-to-none, with many other tasty options for those who want something a little different - the mac and cheese is phenomenal! Superb cocktails (my wife loves the cosmos and the margaritas) and there are always some great local craft beers on tap. The proprietor, Ricky Dillon, is a superb restaurateur, who fully appreciates what it takes for guests to enjoy a great night out with friends or family. Really yummy! Definitely have to make a reservation beforehand. Pizza is great, appetizers are a bit limited. Pizza is also quite expensive - 21$ per pizza. Dinner for two with a salad for an appetizer, and 1 coke and and 1 beer was around ~80$. It will be up to you whether you think that’s worth it! Personally, because the price is high this is a once and awhile treat.

Spent the day in midland and was looking for a place to eat. The location is great and the service was fantastic. Very friendly and welcoming of children. Was there with my wife and 2 kids. Ordered the godfather and the deacon. Also had the ribs appetizer. Ribs were very tender with a great sauce. The pizza was amazing and fresh. Didn't even need the olive oil for the crust although that's just an added benefit.

Stopped by to order a take out pizza. Wasn't happy to pay $23.75 for a medium sized pizza that contained only 6 small pieces. Wont be returning to Dillons. That was the most expensive pizza i have ever had.

Their pizza is wonderful and the atmosphere is great the reason why am giving it three out of five stars is because whenever I want Dillons pizza the restaurants closed I think 830pm on Friday and Saturday night it’s too early to be closed and I end up going to the competitor pi pizza more often than not.

Really good, personable staff. The pizza is really excellent and so is the Ceasar Salad. Good sized serving... a shared pizza and salad is enough for two people. Location is a little small, so a reservation might be a good idea during peak times.

I always look for the best wood fire pizza and I think I may have found the place. The dough is thin and light. You dont feel like you stuffed yourself but yet totally satisfied. Delicious! Also the most amazing mouth watering nutella cheesecake. Friendly staff as well and an overall cute little restaurant.

This is a cozy little Niche restaurant in the downtown heart of Midland. I recommend that you make arrangements to have a reservation as this Gem of a place gets loaded up with excited eaters and they do love their food here. The menu can be a little pricey but you're getting a lot for what your having at your plate. You can have lunch or come up for dinner I would recommend if you are in town or planning to be in town to make a reservation so you will not be disappointed. They have a small bar there we can order something to drink and you can also have wine or an interesting sangria with your meal pizzas are Divine and so too are the appetizers take a look at the website and see what you'd like to have and then dive on in when you get to arrive at this destination.

My girlfriend and I shared a salad and a pizza, we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I have digestive issues with wheat and dairy however the wheat used at Dillon's is from italy making it easy to digest. Good food made from high quality ingredients.

Tried to come today for a later lunch around 3:30 and was told they were fully booked …the place was empty. They then proceeded to tell us we should check out the other restaurants “but they don’t open till 5” and our best bet was probably Kelseys. Really? Turning away business (two people at that) that probably would have been in & out in an hour. If you say you can’t seat anyone because you’re on your break before the dinner rush, then close the restaurant so you aren’t turning away customers from an empty restaurant - Not a great business tactic.

Best pizza place in Midland. I had a gluten free pizza that tasted like regular pizza. So hard to find that quality. Yummy. I also had dairy free cheese on it which wasn’t great but that’s because no good ones exist and I’ve been looking for a long time. I usually leave cheese off. I tried it. They offered to help but I was fine with it. The service was impeccable. Drinks were so yummy and they treated my kids with class not like “kids” that sometimes get the cold shoulder while “the adults” talk. Loved every minute. Great job Dillon’s.

We had an amazing date night! The patio setup was really well done and comfortable to sit in. The staff is amazingly friendly and welcoming. We followed the advice of our waitress and split a pizza and an entree. Both were delicious and super filling. Definitely worth every penny IMO.

I've been going to Dillon's since they opened for business. I live in Oakville with a cottage in Honey Harbour and every time I go out for dinner with guests I always take them to Dillon's promising that once they try the Pizza they will have a hard time eating any other pizza again. Yes, it is that good, and the best pizza I've ever tried!!! The pizza is made in an Napoletano wood fired pizza style, so the dough is made and fermented for 5 days and the sauce is sourced from the volcanic soil of Italy. When you get your pizza add a sprinkle of sea salt and olive oil to make the already perfect, perfection. I wish there were a 6 our of 5 because Dillon's pizza deserves it. Best to call for a reservation because the popularity of this place is starting to spread so that even in the winter on a weekday the tables are full, though still worth the wait.
