For the majority of diners, you will love it. The service and the food are great. However, for the tiny minority of vegetarians, they need to reframe what they call "vegetarian", as they include things like fish sauce and oysters. If you ask for vegan, they will make the appropriate substitutions, but unless you know that, you could end up eating certain things unknowingly.

Wow! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. We ordered the appetizer combo, papaya salad, drunken noodles, ginger-curry vegetables, and mango sticky rice and they were all delicious. The staff was very friendly as well, and our server was polite and professional. Eating here was such a great experience!

I’ve eaten at this restaurant a few times. The peanut curry is amazing, as is the cashew chicken, pad Thai and prawns. That’s everything I’ve tried. There is also a vegetarian menu, and a kid’s menu! Lovely atmosphere and staff, It is fantastic and we are very lucky to have restaurant of this caliber here in Medicine Hat!

Eaten here a few times and work here lots. Can tell you the kitchen is kept spotless and organized. One of the best kitchens in the city. When I have eaten, the "mild, medium, or hot" question is greatly appreciated and I have never been disappointed.

I would recommend Thai Orchid Room to any one who llikes Thai food and for those wanting to give it a try. You can't go wrong with the red or green curry dishes, adding your favorite protein and some coconut rice. You will not be dissapointed.

Quite possibly the worst Pad Thai that I have ever had. Very Saucy and tasteless. The Ladd Nar was not much better. Would not recommend. Food is expensive and small portioned. If I could give zero stars I would. The best place to have Thai food is still at The White Elephant in Calgary.

Food and service were good. I should have asked more questions...I had the pad Thai, which in the US is something different. Good amount of meat, noodles on top, so no meat is visible at first - huge portion. No veggies. There is the option to add veggies, which i should have asked about...the dish has always come with some kind of veggies where I'm from. Sauce was on the sweat side, so odd for me. Taste was good....just not what I expected. Tea was pretty good, iron pot kept the water hot for a very long time, and they do refill with more hot water.

As much as I like Thai food this is quite possibly the worst Thai Ive have ever had. Soup was very watered down and tasteless. The summer rolls was also tasteless and the sauce was so runny it didn’t add to the flavour. The food is expensive and small portioned. Value for the money=0. Interior decor is confusing given the type of restaurant it is. How’s we the staff is amazing, very attentive and friendly. The best place in Medicine Hat to have Thai food is Thuy Tien and Sabai.

Had a lovely dinner here, just a short walk from our hotel. I had a medium beef curry. It was about as hot as a typical Indian butter chicken. If you like it spicy, kick it up a notch. This was very satisfying though.

I love this restaurant. The food is fresh and cooked perfectly. Waitress was pleasant. Our last visit they were very busy and my order was incorrect. It ended up being a while before I could point this out so I enjoyed the meal and asked to have the price adjusted accordingly (asked for seafood and was served chicken). Waitress was willing to change the plate but I was too full. Next time!

Food quality is outstanding, and the service was great too. While it is maybe a bit in the slightly higher price range, the value is there because of the portion size and taste. Very nice decor and atmosphere. For first timers, the place isn't immediately easy to find as the sign is a bit hard to see, but you can trust the address on Google maps. They accommodated or large group and everyone was extremely happy with their meal.

In town over the weekend for an event, we decided to eat here as it was highly rated and had veggie options. We drove over and when we got in we could see It was very busy and almost all of the tables were filled so we were hoping there was something available. Right away we were greeted by a very polite Host and he set us up with a table promptly, making sure our seating arrangements were good and comfortable. He brought us silverware and our menus right away. I wish I grabbed his name because he made us feel very welcome and taken care of. Mei, our server came shortly after, letting us know all of the specials and letting us decide for a while on our drinks and food. We ordered when she came back to check on us, and after waiting only about 3 minutes ( incredibly quick seeing as how busy it was ! ) our drinks arrived, and then our food not long after (Maybe 7 minutes total.) I ordered the Tofu Pad Phet without fish sauce, and my girlfriend ordered the Veggie Noodle Pad Thai without egg. The food was absolutely amazing, we both commented on how great it was throughout, and Mei came to check on us to see how it was tasting, and then again to see if we needed refills on our drinks or anything else. We finished our meals and paid. Overall, our experience was that it is a very professional, clean and well-put-together restaurant. I only wish we visited Medicine Hat more often to enjoy the food and service again. Thank you guys, you're awesome ! :)

We had to do laundry from travelling and the Thai Orchid Room was right beside the laundry and we decided to give it a try. I have been to Thailand several times and for longer periods so have had the opportunity to eat real Thai food off the street vendors, restaurants and better restaurants. I was missing it. Unfortunately, there are vegetables and things in Thailand that you just can't get here that are in the dishes there. That was the only thing missing from the food. It was so good otherwise. When I visit Medicine Hat again, I will, make a point to go back for a return visit.

We had a long day of travelling and as per my sister's recommendation we ate at the Orchid Room. I was impressed with how quickly the food was prepared, and it was obvious it was also fresh. I am gluten and soy free and had no difficulties with finding items on the menu to order. The wait staff who helped us seemed to really enjoy her job; she was really friendly and joked with the tables close to us. I would recommend trying The Orchid Room if you are in Medicine Hat.

Some days you get lucky. Stopped here on a drive from Saskatoon to Lethbridge just 'cause it seemed like it might be a step up from whatever was on the highway. Very nice place. Great service, good food, spotlessly clean. If I ever pass there again it will definitely the place I stop.

Easily the best place to eat in Medicine Hat! We'd heard great things for years about this place and finally decided that we should drop by for dinner as we were passing through town. It's an amazing, charming establishment. We were surprisingly greeted by the two owners shortly after arriving (still hard at work, late on a Saturday night) and were given a very informative and passionate display of the fine cuisine. We were initially thinking we would simply grab some spring rolls or just pad thai to go, but had no choice but to stay and sample some more adventurous dishes! Overall, we found this establishment to be a remarkable fusion of the small-town friendliness and warmth, with the fresh, gourmet dining you would expect at the finest upscale restaurant. We will never again pass through the Hat without stopping in for a meal, and we will be recommending Thai Orchid Room to all of our friends!

The food was very good but service was awful. They were way under staffed and we had to keep reminding them about our drink and food orders. When we would ask for condiments we would be waiting so long the meal was over. It will be awhile before we go back again, maybe never.
