So....this place is AMAZING. so so small but amazing food. I Think the idea was for mostly take out dishes. But let me tell you...it is amazing. The Ramen is the best I've had in ages. Most definitely the best in Medicine Hat. Please eat here but also don't make it too popular I hate lines ;-) lol

This place was really good. The sushi was very fresh and perfect ratios of rice and fish. They make their own dumplings! I request a pan fried option for the dumplings because pan fried is better than deep fried imo. Rice a bit too sweet for me, but I suspect it was just accidental overseasoning. Despite my little gripes, this is a high quality place. I would recommend this to anyone willing to pay a fair price for top quality japanese cuisine.

We were happily surprised to recieve a full refund today after our delivery experience 2 days ago. I don't hold the establishment responsible for the 3rd party delivery, but the fact that you went above and beyond to resolve this speaks volumes to us, we will gladly try your establishment again when AHS says we can dine indoors and return the refund with a new meal. Thank you for showing people that you do care about customer experience.

I've never tasted a more amazing flavour combination than the phila bacon roll that they offer, I recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants sushi in the Medicine Hat area. They offer soups, rolls, tempura, Gyoza, Nigiri, Aburi style Nigiri, combos, rice bowls, ramen, and even party trays! The owners seem to be a great couple that really care for their small business. They do take-out during Covid and when they were open, were very adamant about following AHS regulations in regards to taking down a name and contact number for anyone dining in. Masking until you're sitting and eating is recommended. They have touch free payment and hand sanitizer is present at the entrance and by the cash.

Had the seafood Raman on a Friday. Never felt so satisfied from soup before. It's really a whole new world compared to instant stuff. The owner was a class act, and I think we both learned a bit from our interaction. I'll definitely be back.

I just love the food here!!! I went here because I have troubles eating because I am pregnant and they didn’t disappoint. Their ramen is hot and very delicious! I also tried their takoyaki and it was perfect! The chef and all the staff are very friendly and accommodating! Kudos!!!!????????????

Really nice little place. The food is just awesome. I tried one of the Ramen, some rolls, and sushi; really good quality and taste. One thing I really like about this place is they have yellow tail sushi/sashimi, one of my favorite, something other Japanese place in Medicine Hat doesn't have. One downside is the place is really small, probably a good idea to order take out if the place is busy.

The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and you can tell they care deeply about the quality of their food and service. My friend and I went to try Takumi Japanese Restaurant. The food is very good, fresh, flavourful and rich. Chef Seho and Clara is very friendly and nice. Highly recommended for you guys to try this new Japanese resto in town. ???????????? Can’t wait to try their other food. We tried: Takoyaki, California Roll, Dynamite Roll, Tempura, and Asparagus & Mango Roll

The portions are good, the ingredients are good and the overall quality of the food makes them my favourite sushi place in the hat. Remarkable hidden gem here in Medicine Hat, the attention to detail and execution of the Ramens both my wife and I had were flawless. Do yourself a favor and support this great local small restaurant which is far superior to a chain or franchise offering Japanese fair. Due to a great mixup earlier in the week, I finally had a chance to stop in. The advertised karaage ramen, (Japanese Fried Chicken Ramen) Being new to Ramen I was looking forward to this. I was totally blown away. One of the best meals I have ever eaten. When you go to restaurants they have Salt and pepper or hot sauce ketchup on the table, this place does not and now I know why. Was seasoned perfectly. Just the right spice. I just recently ventured to Japanese food, real Japanese not Edo Japan. My next meal is gonna be chefs choice. Thats how impressed I was.

They do delivery which is awesome especially right now. Anyways this is the only Japanese restaurant i've found that makes katsudon out in the hat and I'm so happy to eat this wonderful food once again. My compliments to the chef cause it tastes amazing. The new style tuna sashimi was absolutely delicious, my personal favorite. Their rolls are full of flavor and the presentation delightful. There wasn't an item our table tried that we were disappointed with. It is a small restaurant, just a couple tables, but if you can get in I highly recommend

It takes a lot to get 5 stars from me. Takumi is well deserving of it though. Note: This is not a cheap, all-you-can-eat sushi place, this is somewhere you go if quality sushi is on your mind. Now, whenever a special occasion comes up, Takumi is at the top of the go-to list! The wonderful staff here will always make you feel welcome. If you like sushi or ramen I would highly recommend trying a dish or two.

We almost walked out of this place as they had no tables but oh boy are we glad that we stayed. BEST JAPANESE FOOD EVER! ♥ Amazing quality and amazing flavours! Saigon roll is the best Maki roll in the whole wide world. And that Ramen,.so good! Do yourself a favor and go here! We ordered seaweed salad, this seemed pre-packaged as the flavour seemed familiar at another sushi place that we frequent.

Best sushi I have had in over 10 years. The food is fresh, environment and food handling are above par, there is extremely flavorful dishes that are priced very reasonably, and a very talented chef who has worked in Tokyo and beyond. We are very lucky to have this caliber of food available to us in our small city. Thank you chef Se Ho! If you are a sushi connoisseur I highly recommend you switch your favourite Sushi place to Takumi. I did without question.

This is my favorite restaurant in Medicine Hat it's such a gem. The locals here are lucky this place exists. I was in Vancouver 2 weeks ago eating ramen at a 4.8 star restaurant on Robson street. I ate Takumi's ramen today and it was just as good, maybe better. I would never have expected to find this quality of ramen in Medicine Hat. I also had 2 pieces of Toro which were cut beautifully and had a very clean, rich flavor. And to top my toro I was served fresh ground wasabi root. I really enjoy interacting with the chef and his staff. Hes a good person dedicated to serving the best quality food, he treats his customers with the utmost respect and it shows in the food he puts on the table.

Read alot of great things so my son and I were excited to try. Maybe it was just an off night or care not put in because it was delivery. But really not impressed. Both sushi rolls were falling apart and rice scrapping off before we started, ramen was not appealing, neither of us ate it and we normally love ramen. Both of us pretty unsatisfied. Maybe in the future might give another try but unlikely.

We stopped here on the way to Calgary. The sushi was excellent and the service was so friendly. The yam roll (one of my personal favourites) was the best I've ever had. The Hura roll was also amazing, and something I've never seen before. Great food and great prices, I'll definitely come by again anytime I'm in Medicine Hat.
