Cozy and modern decor. Croquettes were delicious, loved the beets n perogies. My only criticism is for the potato wedges. They were all sorts of sizes, ranging from french fry to 1/4 of a large potato, so some were burned, some were dry. I'd definitely come back and try more things!

We have tried this restaurant numerous times and have always enjoyed our meals. The Cuban sandwich is excellent, and I cannot recall anything that we did not enjoy. On our latest foray we went for breakfast. The pancakes were enjoyed and had a great texture. The Eggs Benedict was delicious and the croissant base was an interesting touch even though the eggs were overdone. Also has a nice casual atmosphere to catch up with friends.

We enjoyed our Valentine lunch date very much. Our server was attentive. I was disappointed french onion soup was not available. One of the reasons I went there after I watched You Gotta eat here. Nine the keas, my Cuban was very delicious and my wife enjoyed her chicken pot pie.

Shredded hash browns were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The ham was thick and juicy and the croissant and hollandaise were rich and buttery. Coffee was strong and smooth. The vegetarian option also looked awesome. Onion rings are huge and crunchy.

Worth the wait, as you're likely to experience one (30 minutes at least). Breakfast is top class for Winnipeg, and lunch/dinner holds its own too. Small menu, but focused and we'll executed, as opposed to menus with a variety of options that are microwaved and bland. Would recommend to anyone visiting or living in Winnipeg. Do ignore the building it's attached to, the restaurant is quite a diamond in the rough.

I took a city bus and then walked back to downtown. A delicious hearty breakfast special; cubed hash brown with fried green peppers, sweet onions and thick country ham, a light cheddar and mushroom sauce, topped with two eggs over easy (done to perfection) and locally baked rye toast. Very good value. Service just right, attentive and genuine. Relaxed atmosphere with interesting local art. Felt very comfortable dinning alone.

Go early to get seated quick, there is a good reason for the wait as the food is comfort breakfast foods but with a bit of flair. The bannock and cinnamon bun are great additions to any breakfast for a light dessert.

Had the special, which was a rosemary chicken wrap, along with onion rings. Everything was so delicious! The wrap was flavoured perfectly, and a generous amount of chicken. The rings weren't greasy, and there was a large portion. The atmosphere was great, very trendy, and the menu was full of local ingredients. Servers and hostess were all polite and attentive. I can't wait to go back and try brunch!

Located in the Marion Street hotel, don't be fooled by the hotel this restaurant is a shining gem located inside! You may have to wait a bit the restaurant is very busy but worth the wait. Food is reasonably priced, portions are generous and the quality is always top notch. Over the years I've eaten here 20+times tried a variety of items from the menu. Never had anything but good things to say about my meals. Servers are very attentive, water and coffee topped up before you even have to ask.

MSE is a damn fine restaurant. My personal faves are the stuffed mushrooms and stuffed meatloaf. The prices are fairly average for casual dining and well worth it. The staff are pleasant and helpful. You can also get a mean cocktail here.

Awesome food! All the dishes we tasted were delicious!!! (Mashed Potato bowl (daily special), BLT, Vegan Sandwich, and the Turkey Melt) Would definitely order them again. The food took awhile to come to the table, but otherwise the service was terrific. On the downside, it took us 15 minutes to find a parking space. Then we had to wait 30+ minutes for a table. The place was incredibly busy and fairly noisy. The food and service more than made up for the parking and waiting issues. We will be back.

What a great transition job this group has been able to pull off. The pandemic gave some little choice but to adapt and job well done at the Marion Hotel. 2021 update this restaurant asks for proof of mask exemption which is illegal. They wouldn't serve us for the 5 seconds it would take me to walk to the table. I don't have problems at other establishments. I will give my money to businesses that treat all of their customers with dignity and respect regardless of disability. We've been coming to this restaurant since they took over for the Polonez Restaurant. After an over $400,000 renovation, this space has been developed into a trendy spot that serves comfort classics with modern flair. The bison chili is hardy and flavourful. Their limited edition "tickle my pickle" burger was delicious and included home made dill pickle chips that were superior to any mass produced snack food. We do mostly come for breakfast though. I can never steer too far away from the Apple Whiskey Pancake Stack. I don't usually like pancakes (I prefer crepes). But these are fluffy with 4 bacon strips nestled in between, apple slices on top and loads of that sweet whiskey sauce and dollops of whipped cream....so good. The coffee is also quite delicious. We grind our beans at home, so I am picky about coffee.. So far our only gripe is with the omelets. I have heard from a few of my friends that those are bland for some reason.

Princess Chef needs lessons on customer service Loved the serving staff - wonderful service and people. BUT the head chef needs to put her ego aside and learn to cater to her customers. I ordered the tree hugger breakfast and wanted the yolk cooked hard; but the chef refused to cook the yolk beyond runny. The servers and manager explained that they get this same request over and over, but the head chef continues to refuse to cook the yolk any harder; and insists that all the other chefs prepare the eggs as she insists. What is this about ??? We were told that any slight modifications or substitutions to her menu are not possible. Not sure who the head chef is trying to please with her food, but it certainly is not the clientele.

I loved it! My family and I went here during Poutine Week and their food is fantastic. The restaurant is very cute and super comfortable. We had to wait about 10 minutes to he seated as it was pretty packed.. but after being seated there wasn't much of a wait for food and drinks. If you're into cocktails defintely order their Ceaser, it's AMAZING. I highly recommend coming here. You wont be disappointed.

Went in for breakfast and I was really hungry, I ordered the Lumberjack breakfast with three eggs, 2 pc's bacon, maple sausage, baked ham, roasted hash browns, and THREE big pieces of toast. This was a treat to finally get my order fast, hot and exactly the way I like my eggs. I'm coming back and bringing lots of friends with me. A jug of ice cold water and a robust coffee to boot. What more can you ask for.

Always a good experience! The service and the food is fantastic. They go out of their way to support local suppliers, which is nice. Only complaint is that they didn't warn us that the patio had SO MANY wasps. We had 8-12 wasps all over our food the whole time we were there. The wasp certainly areny the restaurant's fault, but it's something they should mention prior to seating people on the patio.. My partner is literally deathly allergic to wasp stings, as are many other people.

Marion Street Eatery is an okay restaurant. The ambiance reminds me of rural Manitoba, and sort of reminded me of Prairie Firehouse in Brandon. I had to try the “Reuben” (which wasn’t a Reuben I think). First off, I was disappointed by the absolutely ridiculous amount of fries-to-sandwich ratio. I paid $15.95 for this plate of fries. On the first bite, the first thing I was introduced with was the amount of sauerkraut this Reuben had. Seriously, I had a waitress ask me how the food was while I was going in on the sauerkraut still. Each bite was full sauerkraut and a little bit of something else. It’s like they were trying to get rid of extra sauerkraut or something. As for flavour, it was great. I’m not too fond of the multigrain ciabatta, as it was too small to be a Reuben. The water cups are painfully small. I believe I was refilled 2 times. I personally do not sip water if I’m trying to swallow multigrain ciabatta. Marion Street Eatery is not a bad place, it’s okay.

Sadly, we were very disappointed in the timing of our meals. Our server waited 45 minutes before letting us know of the impending delay while we sipped on water, not Mimosas or coffee. Strangely, no explanations other than, your meals should be along soon. My spouse had to snack on 2 raw peanut butter packages while waiting the 50 minutes til our meals arrived. I was ready to head to A&W next door. This is a downturn since our last few visits. Food is good and quality of ingredients is very high. Restaurant had a few empty tables and not that busy so have no idea what the delay was about. but we are paying for good food AND customer service, hence, that is when people choose to Tip.

Beautiful decor inside. I was a bit scared to go here because of its location inside a pretty sketchy hotel.. Don't let that fool you. The inside is nothing like the outside! I had the Reuben sandwich and it was really good but a little too over complicated. Sometimes, things are best left to the classic interpretation.

This was the first time here for my girlfriend and I. Would definitely come back. I had the Mac and cheese, and it was dynamite! She had the beet salad, super tasty. We also loved the atmosphere, the walls are covered in local Manitoba art. The dining room and bathrooms are spotless!

Go early to get seated quick, there is a good reason for the wait as the food is comfort breakfast foods but with a bit of flair. The bannock and cinnamon bun are great additions to any breakfast for a light dessert.

This place is such a gem. From the decor to the service everything is on par. Recommend the chicken pot pie (very creamy, lots of veggies) buttery flakey pastry on top. Also love the mixed green salad with ginger balsamic dressing. Everytime I visit Marion Street Eatery I am always impressed. Sometimes there is a wait (like all good things be patient). Always a good experience! The service and the food is fantastic. They go out of their way to support local suppliers, which is nice. Only complaint is that they didn't warn us that the patio had SO MANY wasps. We had 8-12 wasps all over our food the whole time we were there. The wasp certainly areny the restaurant's fault, but it's something they should mention prior to seating people on the patio.. My partner is literally deathly allergic to wasp stings, as are many other people.

Went there on Friday, just as restrictions were scheduled to open up the next day. We ate on the patio. We were told it could be up to a 40 minute wait and they put us on a list to call when a table was ready. Our Server was great, apologetic for not having the craft beer my husband wanted already chilled, and offered up a pitcher with ice to cool it in. They were able to accommodate my vegan and gluten-free requests and I had a delicious lunch that was much more than just fries or a salad. I recommend The Boho! We felt safe and were well taken care of.

2021 update this restaurant asks for proof of mask exemption which is illegal. They wouldn't serve us for the 5 seconds it would take me to walk to the table. I don't have problems at other establishments. I will give my money to businesses that treat all of their customers with dignity and respect regardless of disability. We've been coming to this restaurant since they took over for the Polonez Restaurant. After an over $400,000 renovation, this space has been developed into a trendy spot that serves comfort classics with modern flair. The bison chili is hardy and flavourful. Their limited edition "tickle my pickle" burger was delicious and included home made dill pickle chips that were superior to any mass produced snack food. We do mostly come for breakfast though. I can never steer too far away from the Apple Whiskey Pancake Stack. I don't usually like pancakes (I prefer crepes). But these are fluffy with 4 bacon strips nestled in between, apple slices on top and loads of that sweet whiskey sauce and dollops of whipped cream....so good. The coffee is also quite delicious. We grind our beans at home, so I am picky about coffee.. So far our only gripe is with the omelets. I have heard from a few of my friends that those are bland for some reason.

Called here at 7:00am on a Thursday morning, and asked if I can order breakfast for pickup at 08:00am. The person said that they don’t do “pre-orders” and that I’ll have to call back and order 15 mins beforehand, and they’ll make it depending if they have time because they’re focusing on their dine-in customers which is fair. Then I told them I plan to order 2 orders of the bannock breakfast and one order of the mini pancakes, and she informed me that I can’t order any of these breakfasts as takeout. I’m glad to see they’re doing so well they can turn away paying customers. I guess I’ll give my money to places like Clementines or Juneberry.

Went here for breakfast for the 1st time today with my cousin for his birthday breakfast . I wanted to treat him to something new for a change. So many things went wrong. First, the outside door was locked at 9:30 (supposed to open at 9:00). 2nd Got seated after people that were there after us (if the door would have been unlocked we would have been in there first), the others came in from inside the hotel, not a big deal usually, but now we had to sit at the bar. Sat at the bar, waitress apologized for having a fly trap above my head where the lights were (not off to a great start), but oh well. Received my coffee....it was terrible!!!! Tasted like ash from an ashtray, returned it with no issues, so OK...whatever. Received my Eggs Benni, which at first bite tasted "off" I wasn't sure if this was bad meat or sauce OR just the fact that it was served on a croissant. I truly didn't enjoy my experience there, and probably will never go back.

Classic diner experience in an eclectic decor with friendly staff. Come near opening for breakfasts. There is often a line. Breakfasts (based on a half dozen visits) are OK but a bit weak. Hash browns are deep fried from a bag. If you desire fries with your breakfast, you'll love these. Scrambled eggs very much overdone by default but the more difficult 'over easy' come out well. Specify your eggs when ordering. Alternative plates like Mexican and Treehugger which come with fresh salsa, pickled onions and falafel may be better choices. Wraps are good but suffer from the above mentioned scrambled egg woes. Overall a cheerful, unhurried experience.

They have a couple unique things on the menu that I'm not familiar with (from the states) including cinnamon bannocks, once described as "pancake's older and better cousin," and falafels, if you can believe it. Not to be over the top but the Sobeys pot pie is significantly better. Beet salad was mostly wilted lettuce. Burger was good! Fries were adequate.

Marion Street Eatery is an okay restaurant. The ambiance reminds me of rural Manitoba, and sort of reminded me of Prairie Firehouse in Brandon. I had to try the “Reuben” (which wasn’t a Reuben I think). First off, I was disappointed by the absolutely ridiculous amount of fries-to-sandwich ratio. I paid $15.95 for this plate of fries. On the first bite, the first thing I was introduced with was the amount of sauerkraut this Reuben had. Seriously, I had a waitress ask me how the food was while I was going in on the sauerkraut still. Each bite was full sauerkraut and a little bit of something else. It’s like they were trying to get rid of extra sauerkraut or something. As for flavour, it was great. I’m not too fond of the multigrain ciabatta, as it was too small to be a Reuben. The water cups are painfully small. I believe I was refilled 2 times. I personally do not sip water if I’m trying to swallow multigrain ciabatta. Marion Street Eatery is not a bad place, it’s okay.

Awesome food! All the dishes we tasted were delicious!!! (Mashed Potato bowl (daily special), BLT, Vegan Sandwich, and the Turkey Melt) Would definitely order them again. The food took awhile to come to the table, but otherwise the service was terrific. On the downside, it took us 15 minutes to find a parking space. Then we had to wait 30+ minutes for a table. The place was incredibly busy and fairly noisy. The food and service more than made up for the parking and waiting issues. We will be back.

Really nice lunch experience, food and staff was great, prices reasonable for the quality. Really good coffee. A bit of a wait to get a table as they were busy, but we had coffee at the bar while waiting. Food came out quickly and was delicious. Glad I finally came here to try them out.

First time. Had the Bison burger. Was very impressed with it. The cranberry layer gave a tangyness to the burger that tasted really good. Interior of the building looks nice. However the bathroom situation is really confusing for a first timer. (One mixed, one girls and one tiny door that is supposedly men's?) Waitress was friendly and helpful with the menus. Definitely intended on coming back again to try other menu options. My first impression, 5*.

Ahhhhhh.... these Covid days of wine and food ! The perfect opportunity to kick back and enjoy the Marion Street Eatery food and delivery service. My husband and I tried the ribs yesterday and they were seriously the best we have ever eaten. Thanks Marion chef and staff and that super friendly delivery ‘lady’! Bravo Marion !

We have tried this restaurant numerous times and have always enjoyed our meals. The Cuban sandwich is excellent, and I cannot recall anything that we did not enjoy. On our latest foray we went for breakfast. The pancakes were enjoyed and had a great texture. The Eggs Benedict was delicious and the croissant base was an interesting touch even though the eggs were overdone. Also has a nice casual atmosphere to catch up with friends.

Went for dinner on a friend's recommendation. The food was ok but not particularly memorable. Was extremely busy so we had a long wait and eventually were seated at the bar because no tables. Tins of staff working but everyone seemed scrambled and overwhelmed trying to do it all - why not assign people to stations? Overall felt like the focus was more on being hip and stylish than on good food or service. Wouldn't return.
