I went there with my friend and ordered 2 dishes (one pasta and one salad). The food was absolutely delicious and flavourful, and I still think about it to this day. I’ll probably go back during the fall season, but I’ll bring more friends and order a greater variety of dishes to share! Also, the server was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about their entire food menu and drinks menu, it was impressive!

My husband and I dined at Enoteca last night. We hadn't been there for several months and we were pleased to find that both the food and service are as impeccable as before. This is a lovely place with delicious and imaginative food to delight any palate. The servers are informative, respectful and professional. I was astonished to read reviews to the contrary! Intelligence is not arrogance! I guess some people just can't be pleased. However as it is a small and popular restaurant, so those people will not be missed! We will be back!

After much anticipation, I finally went to Enoteca with 5 of my colleagues. I was incredibly disappointed with the service we received. Our waiter, Jesse, was incredibly rude, condescending and his "better than you" attitude was off-putting, especially when our bill ended at over $600. The food was absolutely delicious, there's no doubting that. But I can not get past how unpleasant the atmosphere was - from the moment we sat down, it was apparent that he was not interested in providing a quality service experience. It later became clear when he forced us into an 18% gratuity, even though nowhere does it mention parties of 6 or more will be charged (calculated on top of tax). For future visitors, don't expect to receive anything beyond what's specifically noted on the menu. That includes asking for some butter to accompany the $6 bread basket for the table. Or, if your bland cauliflower dish needs some flavour, don't ask for any of the already made truffle aioli- served with several other dishes. Overall, while the food was great, it's impossible to get over the appalling service we experienced- especially given the price of this restaurant. Diners, beware.

Beautiful restaurant! We came after a long day of driving, looking to get take out and were met with a warm cozy welcoming atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, they gave us refreshments while we waited for our order. The food came out fast and absolutely delicious!! We ordered the brussels sprout special, the gnocchi, and the duck. Portions were perfect and mouthwateringly good, exactly what we needed. We are just passing through Winnipeg, but next time we're here, this is the only place we're eating!!

What an amazing foodie experience. We had lobster, the romaine salad with bee pollen, the fried chicken and the lamb. All were exceptional dishes. What would have made the service extraordinary is maybe changing out our plates once so the flavors didn't mix and also I had to ask about what some of the dishes were. Our server seemed a bit green and nervous so hopefully she will finesse as she goes. Otherwise she was nice. We will be back!

It was a great experience. So neat the way they come up with ways of mixing different ingredients that come together so well. Every one of the 10 different things we tried was fantastic. The only thing is the portions are so small for the price they charge, but they seem to b pretty busy so I don't think they are hurting for money or need to have more business than they can handle. So I don't think the price or portions are going to change.

Every and every dish had so much time and thought put into them. Everything was unique with a great variety of ingredients. Prepare to spend a bit more then your average night out, but damn is it worth it. I recommend the beet dish.

I like how all the great chefs of the Winnipeg area support each other. I initially went to Chew for dinner, but do to a kitchen malfunction, they had to close for the evening. I asked chef Kyle for a recommendation and he suggested Enoteca. So glad he did! With offerings like ricotta gnocchi, short rib tagliatelle, and celery root lasagna, you get an immediate sense of the inventiveness and creativity that went into the menu. I started the Green salad. Every bite was like eating the best of a Spring garden. Cucumber, edamame, jicama, hearts of palm, snow peas, romain, toasted pistachios, and a zesty wasabi lime vinaigrette. Truly memorable salad.

First, the food we got was very flavourful and the environment is nice. We were a group of 4 and we were told that each menu item is meant to be shared. With the listed prices I was expecting the portions to be decent but no, everything was tiny. For example, we ordered a crimini mushroom dish and each of us probably got 1.5 mushrooms. Same for a steak dish where each of us got maybe a small slice and a half of steak each. People will tell me that the food is meant to be art and meant to be an experience. All I know is that we spent quite a bit for an experience that lasted about 5 minutes total. Another thing I noticed too, and another reviewer mentioned it, is that the cooks have long hairs and beards and no hair net and they are all sweaty.

Great meal overall. The green sald was very flavourful and crunchy and the black cod plus pork belly combo pure perfection. The crab avocado dish did not seem to have any avocado in it though..still good flavour. The service was outstanding!

Small dishes, meant for sharing, and not cheap, but very interesting flavours and combinations. One of the specials was a gnocchi that was out of this world. Another particular favorite was a grilled cauliflower, because of the surprising flavor combinations. Tuna tartare and beef tartare are not to be missed, either!

One of the best things I have ever eaten was the tartare here. Its rich and savory and the sourdough it's paired with is fantastic. Also tried the beet salad, duck, fried chicken, chocolate tart and creme brule. Was a little underwhelmed by the duck which had a delicious skin but the meat was a bit dry. Really had to rub it in the sauces to make it work. The beets were also really hyped. I think they are best described as refreshing and the addition of some crunchy elements made for a well balanced dish. If you have to pick a dessert, I'd go with the tart over the brule. Overall though it was a fantastic dining experience, wine was good, servers were attentive and bar seats facing the kitchen are a fun view to have while dining.

The food and service was wonderful. A reservation is a good idea, showed up at 5pm without one for 2 and got the last table. Needed to leave in 45 mins and they accommodated us without us asking. Will definitely go back.

We went with a group of 10. I will preface that the food was wonderful, however the service and experience was less than stellar. When we arrived for our reservation, our table was not completely ready, 3/4 was ready and there were two people sitting at the table that would be adjoining. The person that greeted us said we could certianly sit while we wait, but stood next to the couple sitting at the table and said were just waiting for 'them' to leave. I was embarrassed for the strangers. When our party all arrived we were chatting and the server came by to get drinks and tell us the special menu items. She told us they only serve wine and scotches. A few of us were dissapointed as we don't drink wine or scotches. When the server dropped off the 'scotch' list, we noticed several other items available. The server also stood on one side of the long table. She was yelling down to take drink orders. We had to ask her to come to our end of the table so we could hear and have a conversation with her. She then asked us all to be quiet so she could repeat the drink orders back to us. She rattled off multiples of drinks. For example, two old fashions, three beers, one Sav blanc.. etc. How would we know how many beers were ordered as a table? I ordered one. I did not know that there were three or seven ordered for the entire table. Not our place to manage that. Drinks came and we ordered food. When one of the people at the table asked if there were any specials, we got back "Well as I said earlier...". She did have to tell us the two specials again. We are a bunch of degenerates. She told us it is recommended that the table orders 15ish dishes to share. We all told her we would be ordering separately / as couples. This did not go over well. Maybe that's tough to manage for such a large table. The impression we had was this restaurant is clearly not meant for large parties. She told us that it could happen, but there is no way to tell how the dishes would come out, about 4 at a time. Food started to arrive. My end of the table received half of our order, while two people at the other end received EVERYTHING once the rest of us were all done eating. We were warned. The server was great at explaining the items being delivered and it's accompaniments. That was nice. I had ordered the tuna special. She came out and asked the table who ordered the tuna dish. As it was 'who wants to be served first' game, Russian roulette of service, I spoke up and said I had ordered the tuna special. It was an order of the regular menu tuna. No one at the table had ordered that. The people who got served last had the duck, they said it was not cooked fully. The server took it back and had it refired for them. My husband said he felt his chicken was a tad pink. We did have to ask for dishes to be cleared. Table was getting cluttered. The server thought my husband had asked her to leave the extra, empty wine glasses. When she brought me a beer, she didn't tilt the glass and poured it straight upside down. Leaving the glass half filled with foam. (First world problems) Food was excellent overall. Food portions are small (yes, it is Tapas, I understand). Ranging from approximately $16 - $25 per dish. A beer is $7 and different sizes of wine glasses ranging in prices. Those who ordered dessert enjoyed it. When bills came out she told us that they have an old system and she was going to have to recite everyone's orders back for clarity as it is all hand written. Not a problem. While doing this we realized that the birthday girl had missed an entire dish. Never got served. Checks were mostly accurate. The servers attitude and approach was crumby throughout the entire evening. People have bad days, and I get it. Sometimes it is hard to fake it. Its unfortunate that it collided with us on this day. Sadly, it does mean we will not return.

The food is very good. The service however is a bit weird. The servers and staff need to chill out and stop acting like their restaurant is *that* good. They asked us to make reservations and told us we could eat at the bar, window, or come back an hour later when a table should open up. When we returned no new patrons had shown up, all the tables had remained open. It seemed, in order to give us the semblance of exclusivity we were forced to eat later than we intended. The cheap decor detracts from the food and they do not serve cocktails despite having a full bar. The food however is actually very good and the waiters are very attentive.

I've been here a couple times and absolutely love it. The quality is top notch, the staff are friendly and take the time to explain what each dish is. A lot of people think tapa restaurants like this are expensive, but when compared to a chain stake house, you pay about the same, but the quality is so much better. Enjoy! Highly recommended!

Enoteca is a quaint and charming restaurant in the Corydon Ave/River Heights area. We’ve ordered a number of dishes in the past: beet/berry/grapefruit salad, celery root lasagna, cauliflower/ gruyere/leek dish, beef tartare, fried chicken, short rib ragout & lobster pasta. We’ve been most impressed by the celery root lasagna and cauliflower/ gruyere/leek dishes. Amazing. There is a general time limit of a couple of hours so you can not longer here for extended periods. Sometimes, it has been a tad cold inside. The place can book up fast (and restaurant size is on the small side) so reservations well in advance (e.g., couple of weeks) are recommended.

The food and atmosphere were great but I think even more impressive than that was the wine list and the service. The portions are definitely smaller but they are beautiful and delicious. Our server's suggestions on wine pairings were insanely good. I never would have paired a duck breast with a Chardonnay but it was incredible. Definitely worth the price tag.

Good stuff, but know that this is semi-fine dining and plates not much larger than tapas and are served as such. Plates are around 15-20 each, and you will need 3 or 4 plates to feed 2 people.

The combinations of those ingredient while sometimes are bizarre, work very well together and hit all the right notes. Beautifully presented plates, great flavours and textures, very well executed. Service was absolutely fabulous! I would definitely recommend this place as we had a fun-filled evening the way they serve is very unique. However like all restaurants there's a few things they would need to improve not a lot but one of the things I would like to see is Tea as not all of us drink coffee ;-) the food was cooked to perfection and flavors were amazing especially the brussel sprouts one food that is hard for many places to cook however I would say they've nailed it. The food came out not hot but at temperatures that we would be able to eat right away however well above the food safety standards. The way they serve would be hard to make sure the dishes come out smoking hot every single time. However I would say a very well done overall experience which is why I'm giving five stars.

The people beside me told me that the dish I chose looked as good as it tasted. Just like photo it was pretty average. Dessert was too ugly to photograph, but the goat cheese cheesecake was actually pretty good. Maybe served on a plate instead of a bowl with some mint garnish would have helped. The orange caramel sauce and nuts were excellent. I could deal with no cocktails, but no tea? Seriously?

The reviews have gone to their heads, it was a great restaurant when it first open but the servers are outright rude and condescending ever since their big review came out. The last time we went (first time after their big review) we were told we couldn't order wine or a plate of olives while we went over the menu, we needed have our entire order ready before our server would take any of our order. We wont ever go back.

Enoteca offers a unique dining experience. I do not recall ever tasting these dishes anywhere else. The chef has invented new dishes to serve in his restaurant and the result gets you discussing your food with your company. I was truly impressed with the creativity and even more impressed with the service level which was personalized and made us feel appreciated and welcome. It's on the pricey side, but it's a good opportunity to indulge yourself.

A wonderful selection of dishes that are cycled every 6 weeks. Every dish has a lot of thought put into it in terms of presentation, combination of flavor and overall finesse. You're getting bites of heaven in each dish. Easily one of my new favorite places. Perfect for meets and dates as well.

Server was very attentive and walked us through the menu and suggested a wonderful wine to pair with our meal. The food was very, very good and the idea of shared plates was perfect for us. Orderes three plates along with a dessert and it was all served one aftwr another with little to no waiting. We will be back.

Well I went in, not sure what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. It was all really good. Tried 10 different dishes and there was only 1 I could have done without but it was still good. Good job guys I will be back.

The food was very good but not fantastic, which you'd expect for the prices. The servers were also good, friendly, but not that engaging. The service was also quite slow, may just have been the night as the last time we went the service was quicker. For the tally there's better place to spend your money.

Had a great time for my first time here. Definitely will be coming back to try out different dishes. I loved the olives to start and the wine list had good variety. Dishes were a decent size for two. Had three dishes and that was enough. Server was helpful, friendly and professional. Make sure to make a reservation because this place gets full!

Enoteca has a surprisingly lovely atmosphere. Upon being seated we were greeted by a very enthusiastic and professional waiter who skillfully guided us through the menu and the ordering process. When he retuned to take our order we had decided on 3 plates but not the wine. He happily suggested that he could pair a different wine for every plate. I was very grateful that he did because I wasn't familiar with their wine list and his taste and choice of pairing was excellent. The dishes were uniquely designed and tasted superb. The wine he chose paired perfectly with every plate. We finished with a chocolate cake which was more of a chocolate pie that I was pleasantly surprised by. The whole meal was a wonderful experience made even better by the knowledgeable and friendly wait staff. If you are looking for a romantic place to dine, this is the spot.

One of the hidden gems of Winnipeg. Expect to order a few dishes that everyone can enjoy. Trying everyone else's choices was the best part, whether you share a little or a lot. This place is perfect for a special evening, or any night if you're a foodie! The amazing wine list was a bonus. Also a great warm atmosphere.

The food was exquisite, extraordinary mix of flavours that turned my meal out into sensational experience. Unfortunately I don't do well in loud places and there was big group that was really noisy. I will definitely come back again, food was worthy.
