Visited with my girlfriend on a Thursday night ($22 thursday night menu). The first thing to note is that the water wasn't cold, and was almost certainly straight from the tap based off the taste of chlorine. The bread was cold, the soup of the day (cream of cauliflower) was very boring, as was the salad with balsamic vinegar. I had an extra dish of crusty goat cheese, which I will say was the one redeeming food item from the night. My entree was steak with vegetables, the steak was burnt on the outside, and had again absolutely zero flavour, and the carrots were far too mature, with a taste of dirt. Girlfriend had ribs, which we have to say were the worst ribs either of us have ever had. We thought maybe dessert (chocolate brownie) would at least finish the meal on a good note, but instead we were served what tasted like a brownie straight from the grocery store. We left the restaurant feeling unwell in the end. I have to say that the service wasn't bad though, it was just impossible to enjoy any portion of the meal because of the food (save for the crusty goat cheese).

Great food, even better service! From the starters to dessert, the food was the best I tried in Magog. Very close in quality to what you would find in a great Montreal restaurant. In terms of service, I have never experienced the quality that Stéphanie provided. She mastered the table to the point WE wanted to make a good impression on her as guests. Nothing escaped her. She was more than a waitress, she was like the personal assistant to a Prime Minister. You need to experience this at least once in your lifetime.

I had the table d'hôte and the soup and my main dish was really, but really good. Service was slow and they said it was due to a large group inside. They gave us a bottle of wine to palliate the delay. They had gluten free option and it was well indicated on the menu. Nice place with a nice terrasse in Magog.

Great experience. So why only four stars? Service was impeccable, although I sat at the bar. The place is very nice, trendy and cozy without making you feel the need to dress up. The food was also very good. The salmon tartar was fresh and light although I prefer a touch more seasoning. Oysters were very fresh. I had the bavette which was unfortunately tough (yes I cut across the grain) and I did ask for it to be very well tempered. The veggies were also quite undercooked. Like fresh to pan, to which I prefer slightly blanched first. Desert was great and the wine selection was solid although very few by the glass. The prices were very reasonable. Overall great experience. I would definitely go back.

I called the day prior to make reservation. It was about 6:30pm. The message said to leave a message. The next day, I showed up at the requested time only to be told they didn't have reservation in my name. The hostess called who I assume to be the manager who tell me their reservation system don't work well and they don't answer the phone. I asked if they could still seat us in. We were two and it is their mistake after all. She told us they were full and could only accomodate us much later in the evening. Most restaurant were full with a 40 minutes wait time. Luckily, we were able to find a table next door at Anastasia Tretorria. I do fimd the manager's attitude very rude and careless. They made the mistake and she didn't care about fixing it. Very poor etiquette. She should go back to the ITHQ and get upgrade her customer service skills.

This is a place that offers fine dining at an affordable price. With a $22 three course prix fixe, you can't go wrong. They had salmon poached in walnut oil which was delicious and one of the most unique things I've eaten.

There is almost no vegetarian options. The prices are too high for the food options. Whereas the restaurant is close of many local vineyards, there is no local wine options in the menu. Decor is great, service too although we were cramped and could almost not move from our chairs so much there was no space available.

Had homemade / handmade duck ravioli.. Was delicious! Friend had the bavette. Cooking was perfect, though there was too much confit d'oignon on it. Last time she had it with tapenade d'olive and almost fell off her chair it was so good! Great service, nice wine. It can get crowded so reservations are to consider in weekends.

The place is very comfortable and the meal was pretty good, but it was not very filling for the price. Decent presentation in a lively atmosphere with attentive staff. Red pepper soup only soso. Goat cheese appetizer was best part of my meal, my husband's calamari was tasty but tiny. $42 scallops also tasty but barely there. Neither dessert was anything to brag about, and the waiter was pleasant but inattentive. All in all, not recommended, although the restaurant itself is quite striking. Perhaps for lunch....

I'm here on business and have to say this is probably the best pizza I've probably ever had. I noticed the place was packed during lunch I imagine it would be being that it's a tourist attraction. I ordered out and received w/ in 10min. I don't speak French and they were great to deal with not rude for it either. Onto the food they put an amazing amount of cheese and toppings for a personal 4 slice pizza. It was excellent and being new they asked if I wanted butter. I asked what for and they politely said it was for the crust. I thought this was crazy but tried it anyway and lo-behold it was amazing. I don't know if I'd do this all the time but it's really tempting to do so.

I posted a bad review in 2020 about our 2019 New Years experience and I am happy to say Pinocchio is back to five stars! I am all about the food and the excellent food has returned. The service here has always been excellent. We had the oysters which were very fresh and served ice cold with their brine intact. We also had the rack of lamb which was served medium rare and done perfectly. The vegetables and sauces were all excellent. Dessert which was the bread pudding was excellent and the coffee fresh and hot. As always the service was excellent. I am happy that they made adjustments in the kitchen to get this place back on track!

I can only guess we were there on the wrong night. The food was really ordinary and service quite slow. The menu items sounded great but the flavor just wasn't there. Soup of the day cream of mushroom salty and very one note. Salad just greens lightly dressed with unremarkable dressing. Salmon tartare was tasty with wasabi mayo. But the main dishes really fell short-- veal special bland and a little overcooked, rubbery gnocchi. Cod well cooked but flavorless. Just overall very disappointing for the price. :(
