Hello red ?? Mother tried calling your tiny little diner to talk to you but you never answered your phone. Mother says thank you for the nice supper and thank you for having your daughter split our hamburg and baked potato on 2 plates for us Also very Christian of you to bring hot water for mother's tea bags she brought in from the meeting at the center we attended. They also had cookies.

Worst food ever! 0/5 Veggie Donair was drowning in sweet cream sauce. Likely they have never even seen a real donair. Fries were over cooked and cold, fish was beyond “fresh”. Service though came through with an A+, would come back for the great servers, but I will not eat this food ever again.

Good food, but I must say, we entered the resturaunt with my parents... Parents we were the first people to sit. But out of the 6 other familys we were the last to recive our meal. And to add to it when me and my mother got out pizza it was disappointing.

Every other restaurant had a line up. This one did not so we ate here. Have to say.... now I know why there was no lineup. Fish was extremely greasy, fries had taste but not in a good way. There were only 4 tables with people (including us) when we sat down but the server seemed to be swamped. One of our party asked for ice water which never came. Another ordered a smoothie which never came but it was on our bill. I asked her to take it off when we were leaving and she remarked that it was still in the blender..... Out of tarter sauce and lettuce. Don't believe I will be returning.

Well, the soup was cold and we returned and cancel but still we have been charged for soup. When I noticed in bill they charged $2 more than menu price for soup and not able to give me refund on my card really !!!!!! I would ask owner to reply why this kind of service ?????? Also fries were double fried

These were some of the smallest overall portions we received while in NS, but what we DID get tasted AWESOME. Their chowder is as good as anyone's and the wait staff we spoke to were very friendly. If you are looking for a place to eat some scallops while you look at the water, this place will definitely do the job. You have plenty of options for a seafood lunch in Lunenburg, and Big Red's is as good a place as any.

Its been years since I had Big Reds but was craving it. We ordered a square works pizza and a 12" garlic fingers. It did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious! Will not be waiting so long to order again. Well worth the 30 minute drive.

Not a good restaurant for seafood. I ordered the seafood platter with seafood chowder. It came with tiny scallops and little piece of cod; though the flavours were good (Had them bake mine instead of deep fried). Didn’t like the moms chowder, the broth tasted like milk with potatoes, too expensive for 25.99$. Excellent view and service.

Great gluten free pizza. Nice new of the harbour from inside or on their patio. Good seafood chowder but could use more seafood and less clams. Friendly staff. Parking on the street. They have other gluten free items as well.

Sadly disappointed in the food but service was pretty good. Ordered a club sandwich... and asked if my lunch companion wanted gravy with the fires... waitress said this doesn't come with fries. That was a surprise for a $10 sandwich. The club was actually a little bit of frozen chunked chicken mixed with way too much mayo, a small piece of bacon, little bit of lettuce and tomato. As I was confused, I asked the waitress if this was made with chicken salad and she said no... there was a chicken salad sandwich on the menu above the club but $3 cheaper. With a side of greasy onion rings and a sandwiches that were terrible and would not stay together, I would say this $30 lunch was a wash. There are too many alternatives... just say no and try someplace else.

We ordered seafood casserole which was basically seafood chowder put in a casserole dish. Really runny sauce and lacked flavour. I feel a bit ripped off since I could have ordered the chowder for alot less money. The battered haddock and fries were not bad though. We paid $103 plus tip for 2 kids hotdogs and fries, the casserole and fried fish and scallops. Had the casserole not been such a disappointment it might have been worth it.

First time trying Garlic Fingers and Big Red’s are stellar! Also love that their donair sauce is so smooth and not at all thick and goopy. Will def make this our new pizza place because their crust is UH-mazing. Thanks for the very friendly service too! :) ooops, only took my photo after we already dug in!

I know it may sound strange but sometimes you might not want seafood when you are in a place renowned for the seafood. Big Ted's does offer some seafood dishes but their pizza was great. I had a side Ceasar salad and I apologize for not taking photos. Enjoyed sitting on their patio and enjoying the late afternoon sun over the harbour. Staff were very nice and wait times were very good.

Was very disappointed. No glasses, no lime for Coronas, styrofoam plate and plastic cutlery for eat in, pizza was terrible with hardly any toppings or cheese, gravy was from a can or a powder, even my buddy who had a clubhouse couldn't eat his sandwich as it was all mayo and no meat. We only ate here because it was 40 mins to an hour wait at everywhere else. I see why there was no wait for this place. I wouldn't normally roast a place for these issues but it was outrageous how much we were charged for such a subquality experience. We left feeling like money was stolen from us.

This place has really gone downhill. Staff are competent but the place itself is in bad need of renovations. Has a cheap, run-down atmosphere and is often not very clean. Can't say much about their food except if you like donairs, DO NOT get one from here; it's basically a lackluster donair soup. The sauce itself is only slightly thicker than milk and the rest of the donair is mostly drowned lettuce. I should have taken a picture, it was *that* bad. Also they don't serve the Swizzle anymore... I am sad...

Excellent food and service! The chowder was hot and delicious with tons of seafood. The garlic bread was very good and the haddock sandwich was so tender and flaky! The best meal webewhad on our maritime trip! The view of the harbour is also spectacular.
