It was really a great experience to have dinner in ROYAL HALAL. We get bored from the homemade dishes so planned to have Diwali dinner there. Truly speaking, the food as well as ambience of restaurant made us feel refreshed and happy. Would definitely recommend others to try any Indian/Pakistani dish there and definitely you will have the taste as you want.

Food was awful.. had no spice or seasoning the chef that came out was so rude we even witnessed him yelling at a waitress for making a mistake over a menu item. Waited over 2 hours for food was not worth it all. This place won't last good luck

Wonderful ambiance, food and staff. Their tandoori items are a must try. The lamb korma and chicken karahi are some of the best I have ever tried. Definitely a place you cannot miss for delicious authentic Indian food!

Absolutely wonderful place to dine. Great vibes. Food is great. Be it you are a die hard spicy food lover, or can't take spicy at all, from meat dishes to vegetarian, from Indian and Pakistani to Chinese and Canadian dishes. I was blown by their menu. Nice, cozy, beautiful dining area. Would absolutely recommend 10/10.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and clean, and the food is great! The meals don't come as a combination however, so if you want Lamb Korma for example, you buy the rice and Naan separately. The menu should be clarified to reflect that. Royal Halal is off to a good start. Best of luck, can't wait to see how you grow :)

Pathetic service. Loved the chapatis but everything else was a huge disappointment. Imagine sitting for 2.5 hours for your supper. Quantity is nothing but a joke. No rice or bread/chapati with a main course dish is OK but at-least offer some quantity. Hot Rasgullas??seriously? First impression really is a last impression.

One of the best restaurant in Sydney. The appetizers are soo delicious, one of the main thing is that they didn’t add any prantha (ਪਰੌਂਠੇ) in menu but I asked them to make and they made it. Its allo prantha and panner prantha that was soo delicious and the taste is same as Indian food. Thanku guys, will definitely come again

Do not go by the pictures on their website, as its a totally different portion size. I ordered the Biryani and it only came with one small thigh piece, even though it shows a full thigh/leg piece and a wing on their ordering page and they didn't serve any type of yogurt sauce with it. I find its overpriced because of the fact they do not serve any rice with the meals, rice is an extra charge.

I was surprised that none of the meals come with rice or naan? The waiter tried to tell me its because they keep their prices low, 14.99 and up for only sauce/meat is NOT cheap! I ordered the Royal korma, it had an overpowering sour taste, it was terrible. I mentioned this to the waitress and she told me that it has an acquiring taste, really? LOL. Korma is normally one of my favorite dishes when I go to other Indian/Pakistan restaurants. I also ordered the Biryani, which I had to add salt to, in order to bring out some flavor, it had ripped up pieces of chicken from a thigh piece, it even had some tiny bones in it. (not good if children were eating it). At least the restaurant seemed clean at least. I will NOT be going back here.

Bad Customer Service We were three people and it was our first time visit. We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala and Naan, food was arrived almost after half hour. We understand that some of the items takes time to cook, but not a half hour, and to note they were not too busy. Food got served before the plates and we were waiting to have plates. "Bowl" arrived in some times, we didn't get that, how one can eat in only bowl so, we asked for real plate (flat), server wasn't happy for being asked to replace the bowl. We started eating and as we just had the experience of slow service, we ordered our next food in advance (Daal Tadka and Zeera Rice). First, server didn't take the order in written, took only verbally. After some time he came back to confirm our order, we confirmed two times. After some times, an individual came with the left items from the first order (not sure was Manager or owner) and confirmed our second order again and told us order would take 15 to 20 mins. When we asked why it's taking too long even we have ordered in well advance, he brought up about the first order and asked us rudely "Do you know how long it takes to prepare "Panner Tikka?". I myself have experience working in restaurant and I cook very often, but I didn't wanted to spoil our night so, I didn't get involve in much conversation with him. He was playing a story of fresh food and preparation. We continue eating our first order, after few minutes same individual came back and told us that you only ordered rice (I think, we confirmed that order 3 times) and if you would like to have it I can bring it now. We said, we ordered both as we wanted to eat together (Daal Tadka and Zeera Rice), we got in arguments. Finally, food were served, but it was terrible experience and disrespectful. I don't understand, why he was arguing with customer (even we have confirmed our order many times). We feel like they don't know customer service at all.

One of the best Indian restaurants we have ever eaten at. The food was superb. Each of the dishes we tried was delicious. The staff and owners were so friendly and enthusiastic about explaining the menu. Our main dishes were Royal Butter Chicken (which we try at every Indian restaurant we eat at) and Chicken Karahi (which we had never tried but was enthusiastically recommended by our server). The Butter chicken was the best we had ever tasted and the Chicken Karahi has become another favourite. The spices and seasonings were incredible in the food and the amount of heat added was perfect. The Naan bread was also delicious. For an authentic and exciting taste experience, check out this wonderful spot. Can't wait to return.

Yet another Pakistani-Indian cuisine restaurant that also offers canadian delicacies and what is the best way to try out your taste buds? Yes, the good old Butter Chicken and Naan combo. Ordered the Royal Butter Chicken and Naan with Lamb Karahi and finished it off with some Rasagulla. *The flavourful creamy buttery texture and thick gravy of the Butter Chicken is surely the best one in Sydney. Can still feel it lingering around my taste buds. *I am not a big fan of Lamb dishes, but the Lamb Karahi dish here is surely worth a shot and you will find yourself licking it off from the bowl itself. *The Rasagulla was only the odd ball out here as it did not meet my expectations since it had a rubbery texture and tastebut surely the restaurant will find a way around it. Overall the Restaurant had a good ambience, a wide variety of offerings and the best tasting Indian-Pak cuisines in Sydney. Will surely be trying out a couple more dishes from here????

Absolutely amazing! Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really great food. BBQ items on sizzling plates were superb with freshly made Naan (bread) on clay oven. Unique thing is that all the meat items on the menu are Halal, I will highly recommend that all those looking for halal food should give it a try.

The food here was absolutely delicious. Gotta be the best Indian food I have ever tasted in my life. If I had to complain about one thing tho, it would be that the food doesn’t come as a combo. Such as the rice coming separate from the meals. Some further clarity on the menu would be great. Other than that, phenomenal experience.

Super delicious Indian food.. We went couple of times there and our experience was very good. Their paneer tikka masala is out of the world and everyone must try their biryani. I never had such great biryani in Nova Scotia. Most recommend place if you seriously want to eat tasty indian delicacies.

I’m one of those people who has had the same subway ritual for 13 years lol. Royal Halal has really shifted my tastebuds in an amazing and flavourful way. The chicken karahi is my all time favourite and I love the fact that I can pick my spice level and they hit that spice level bang on every time. I highly recommend trying it ! It never disappoints me , the chefs of Royal Halal are so attentive to their job and their food. They put so much care into every recipe that leaves the establishment. Sharing an honest review. Me and my friend went there for a thanksgiving dinner. Really love this place. The restaurant is well organized and the staff is super friendly. They all were so polite and welcoming. Prices are really good. We tried chat papdi , dahi bhalle and cholle bhature. After so long i tried Indian street food and it was amazing. In drinks we have got mint margarita which was very refreshing and mango lassi is perfect. Very flavourful and the presentation of the food is so appealing. I would say it is the best Indian/Pakistani restaurant in Sydney. Highly recommended guys !!! 5/5 for Customer service 5/5 for taste and quality 5/5 for cleanliness

Amazing experience. Nice clean space. Good cooperative and efficient staff. Halwa puri and chickpea curry was amazing with masala chai. Samosa chat and dahi bhalay were delicious. Tried chicken qorma, beef shekh kabob with naan were also very tasty. It is good to have a halal food option available in Sydney.

My favorite go to place for Indian/Pakistani food. The starters - samosa chaat, dahi bhalle, papdi chaat are absolutely delicious and remind me of street food from India. Their tandoori section with the Booti and tikkas are char grilled to perfection and are served on a steaming platter. The real showstopper are their main course curries, with the lamb, chicken and paneer dishes all being delicious. Not the just the food, but the staff is extremely welcoming and hospitable. I would definitely recommend Royal Halal to anyone looking to try authentic Indian/Pakistani food!

Had a great experience with them. They were kind beyond measure. A little story about what happened. I moved to Nova Scotia from New Brunswick, but the person who had promised me a place to stay turned out to be a scammer. I went to the restaurant, told them about what happened, they were so great, they all immediately started looking to help me any way they can. They even gave me a free burger because they wanted to help out someone in need. Friendliest restaurant I've ever been to!!
