Food was good there ,but not anymore,last time I ordered a Hamburger and fries with gravy on the side ...the gravy was terrible and tasted like flour as if they was at the last bit of good gravy and wanted to make it ,so they mixed water …

Been a long time since I went to Ebbie's. Today I put in an order for 4 and went around the corner to get cash. When I came back my order was ready. Faster than fast food and a lot better. Clams and fries were great , and their cheeseburgers are better than I remember. If you are on Sydney Mines give this place a try. Very friendly staff too.

I really like my fish and chips but wasn't happy with the potatoes and fish. Potatoes were very small scoops. Know gravey on potatoes. Never got any coleslaw or tartar sauce. I wasn't happy at all

Heard about Eddie's from a local so tried it and was not disappointed. Cheeseburger platter was great . Burger had great flavor. Fries were good loved the gravy and coleslaw

I had the Double cheeseburger bacon and a poutine and we got wings as well everything was so good had to be the best burger I had around ???? and the wings were good as well good Sauce you have to eat here if your around give it a try

Horrible would never return had wings and poutine .. they are too lazy to even separate items or use tinfoil so the wing sauce was all over my poutine .. wings were old and dry .. Do not recommend

Ebbies is a solid place to eat. It's a staple in the downtown of Sydney Mines and a great alternative to pizza. Lots to pick from on the menu, but it would be nice if the price were on the board and not just the paper placemats. The burgers are hand made and ingredients are always fresh. Plus, the fries are great. I've never had a bad meal hear in 15 years!

We tried this place first time yesterday. I had seafood platter and hubby had fish and chips and we both thought it was lovely! Fresh cooked hot and crispy. Gravy was awesome! We will go back next week to try the hamburgers. We had several local people praise this establishment. We agree. Price was in the ball park for your size portions. Easy to find, and parking is there for you. But no trailers! Haha as we did so you have to find a good spot. This will be another spot to eat in future.

Ebbies is a Sydney Mines staple. It's a great place to get a burger, they have some of the best burgers in all of Cape Breton and I would know since I've been all over this island Do yourself a favor and stop in, get a burger and fries.

Terrible! I have eaten here for years and the last 6 mths have been brutal service! Tonight I was told a 10inute wait time, 45 minutes later I finally got my order. This after my last experience where I ordered delivery and never did get it. They told me they had the wrong address when I called the next morning to find out what happened since they didn't answer the phone on the actual evening I ordered. Figured picking up this time nothing could go wrong. Guess that was a poor assumption.

The food at Ebbies is delicious. It's not too expensive. Great place for family dining. They do have a washroom and highchairs for babies. The only thing I wish they had was debit. They are only able to take cash payment. I would highly recommend Ebbies!
