What a place! We visited last Saturday for our very first time. It was a delightful experience. The menu it's offered with the traditional Indian flavours or a sweeter one for people do no eat spicy. This was great for my wife who does not like spicy food. Decoration is great and the staff very nice and polite. Everything was so good that we forgot to take a picture. But definitely we are going to be frequent customers. In the dark side, the facilities don't have a table or a comfy space to change the babies' diapers.

We have two small kids, so getting out is not so easy. Once a month we'll order takeout from Mantra - they put together a large box of food for $30 - several selections for "meal for 2" - and there is always enough for a leftover meal. Did I mention the food is excellent? You can't go wrong with the butter chicken.

The receptionist on the phone confirmed to me that a 10% discount applied for a take out order, but when I came to pick up the order it was no longer the case. The service was very cold when I placed my order. I found the portions smaller than in other Indian restaurants in the region. The dishes were nothing more than good. Worst Indian I've had in my life. The butter chicken "Indian"-style (as opposed to sweet) tasted like a tomato soup, no indian spice in it, and the chicken pieces had not been marinated, and did not cook in the sauce: they were dry, rubbery, and tasteless. I ordered by phone and specifically asked for a mint sauce to go with the samosas I ordered. I was delivered no sauce at all.

When I called about this at restaurant for the incident, instead of saying sorry, receptionist rudely told me to solve the problem by myself. Suffered from food poisoning + doesn't taste like an authentic Indian food. Overall experience was not good with this restaurant. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. So, my friend goes back to the restaurant and is ENGAGEULER by the chef who accuses him of being a thief (of chicken in butter ?, it is anything.) And who refuses to give him the dish. After the shouting he ended up giving her the dish, the waitress refuses to give her compensation (for her moving and shouting), she tells him to keep the rice too much and that she gives him the butter chicken We already had one, because the chef SAIT HELL AS IRON that he gave us one. (He was so convinced that we were thieves that he had hardly put anything in the butter chicken dish -_- '') In the end, the food was really ordinary, there are better restaurants (the Tandoori chain offers a better butter chicken), the decor was really dirty and the service completely crap !!!!!!!!!!!!! I strongly advise not to put feet there !!! (Original) Le restaurant est en très mauvais état, de l'extérieur on a pratiquement l'impression que c'est abandonné. L’intérieur est plutôt crade : le restaurant a vivement besoin d'être rénové. Malgré cela, nous avons décidé de prendre des repas pour apporter puisque le resto nous avait été recommandé. Nous avons pris un poulet au beurre, un cari d'agneau et un riz basmati. Il n'y avait pas moyen d'avoir un service en français et ils nous ont demandé de nous déplacer pour venir chercher le plat en prétextant qu'ils ne savaient pas quand nous allions recevoir le plat... Alors, mon ami retourne au restaurant et se fait ENGUEULER par le chef qui l'accuse d'être un voleur ( de poulet au beurre? C’est n'importe quoi.) et qui refuse de lui donner le plat. Après l'engueulade il fini par lui donner le plat, la serveuse refuse de lui donner une compensation ( pour son déplacement et l'engueulade), elle lui dit de garder le riz en trop et qu'elle lui donne le poulet au beurre puisqu’on en a déjà eu un, car le chef SAIT DUR COMME FER qu'il nous en a remis un. ( Il était tellement convaincu que nous étions des voleurs qu'il n’avait pratiquement rien mis dans le plat de poulet au beurre -_-'') Au final, la nourriture était vraiment ordinaire, il existe de meilleurs restos ( la chaine Tandoori offre un meilleur poulet au beurre ), la décoration était vraiment crade et le service complètement merdique!!!!!!!!!!!!! Je conseille vivement de ne pas y mettre les pieds!!!

You cant beat the price! The lunch buffet is one of the best in montreal. For the price and value this is as good as le taj in downtown. Place is super clean and it gets crowded at lunch time which is a good sign. Food was fresh but missing salt and some seasoning. The vegetarian dishes were not that flavoured. They had two butter chickens: one heavy and one light which is a nice thing since its the most famous Indian dish. The chicken in the butter chicken is not marinated and has no taste. The chicken teryaki was pretty good and decently flavoured. Rice was a bit buttery/oily, but overall goes well with the dishes. I will be coming back for sure!

I ordered for delivery and my combo was incomplete, one of the item was opened and missing more than half of the portion. I paid extra to.have a 3rd portion that I never received. The restaurant said they could not help me and the company also did not help me, in the end I paid 70$ to no even have enough food for 3 people. I was frankly confused because he made me feel like I had called back for nothing ... I'm still upside down ... it's really stupid I know! But such a thing should never happen. I think it's important not to treat customers this way, even though I ended up getting an impeccable order, the service literally took my appetite away. Truly! The order has just arrived and I'm here to write, not sure I'm so hungry after all. I will never call there again. Therefore: 5 stars for the food 1 for service. J'ai donc rappelé, bien heureuse d'avoir trouvé cette solution et là, (et j'insiste ici; j'étais heureuse donc pas une madame qui chiale du tout) j'ai probablement eu le pire service à la clientèle de ma vie... et notez bien, ce n'est pas ce que j'ai obtenu mais bien la façon dont j'ai été traitée. En donnant ma solution, je me suis fait répondre "NON MADAME, ce n'est pas comme ça que ça va fonctionner, JE vais vous dire ce que VOUS AUREZ". Imaginez un ton très glacial et intimidant. Donc là, c'est l'équivalent de recevoir une gifle au visage. J'ai été si saisie, si déstabilisée que je l'ai juste laissé parler.... pour me faire dire exactement ce que je disais; que j'allais obtenir mes 3 entrées sans quelle soient diminuée. J'étais franchement confuse car il m'a fait sentir que j'avais rappelé pour rien...je suis encore à l'envers de cette histoire...c'est vraiment stupide je sais! Mais une telle chose ne devrait jamais se produire. Je crois que c'est important de pas traiter les clients de cette façon, même si j'ai obtenu au final une commande impeccable, le service m'a littéralement coupé l'appétit. Vraiment! La commande vient d'arriver et je suis ici à écrire, pas trop certaine que j'ai si faim finalement. Je n’appellerai plus jamais à cet endroit. Donc: 5 étoiles pour la nourriture 1 pour le service.

I went to eat dinner with my family on Saturday evening. The noise level was like a fish market! There was no music playing and the delivery people were picking up their packages from the payment counter which was right near the dining table. Food was average at best. No attention to details either: we requested a curry without hot peppers for our daughter, however, the one given had hot peppers in it. We also requested butter on our naans breads, but that also wasn't done. On top of above, when I tried to give feedback in the end to the staff at the payment counter, she clearly wasn't receptive to it and rather started counter arguing!

Went on June 3rd in the evening with a group of friends. The food is good. The restaurant is not very well kept for cleanliness. The service is slow and the people working there seamed puzzled by our questions (lack of experience). Don't ask for coffee nore cocktails (apart from beers), none available. Would I go back, NO. This restaurant was top notch before original owner sold. Now it's a bunch of kids passing time.

Beware these imposing doors and shady facade as you enter one of the jewels of indian cuisine. As a family business, this place stands out for its good price and great quality of food. Been elsewhere and it does not compare to this. Even though sometime the service can be lacking, they are nice. (I was offered a free cup of tea while waiting for a take out). Also, they have an all-you-can-eat lunch special. It is worth it.

Really clean. Food is very good but I didn't like the butter chicken. It was ok, tasted only the cream. Beef bhuna on the other hand is so good! Usually I prefer the butter chicken in Indian restaurants (for that, go to moghel tandoori in the area). I recommend trying it out.
