We've been there several times already and the food and service have never disappointed. The selection of appetisers is varied and different from what we've found in other restaurants. It's not expensive, but I'd say it's above average. It has become a favourite destination for special occasions. Probably, one of the best restaurants in the city nowadays.

I had high expectations for this place, the food was ok but not outstanding... the ambience is nice and the service was very very slow... I'm OK with relaxed service.. but this was waaay tooo slow, we were the only table in the place and we had to wait more than an hour after the appetizers for our main dishes to start showing, we were 4 and the last of our orders was served 15 minuets after the first! it took for ever to get us the check although they were closing, our waiter started to clean the tables before getting us the machine to pay

My partner and I were first timers. We made a reservation for 1:30pm Saturday afternoon and arrived to an empty floor (to my surprise). The food and service was of excellent quality. I enjoyed the Jambalaya and my date enjoyed the Lamb Burger. Their cheescake special was the best restaurant cheesecake I have every tasted! Overall good service and pleasant, classy but cozy enviornment. Be prepared for expensive prices. Desserts and Foods are pricey but drinks are moderately close to competitor prices $5-6 beers.

Pretty decent food, i genuinely liked the restaurant setting (cozy/friendly and not too busy). My biggest issue was the service, friendly.. too friendly. The waiter would not end his 5 min coversation with my date about his life experiences, she was friendly enough to entertain it but it would have been nicer to just have been left alone after getting the bills. Worth checking out, not a spot for being a regular in my opinion.

As A Married Couple This Is Our Favorite Place Go For Delicious Food and Beautiful Dinning Atmosphere !! We Love the food !! Also it Has a Casual feel at the same time, they do specials for London Knights Game nights and Are Welcoming to All Casual Dress even though it is really more of a fine dinning Restaurant. The Lasagna My Wife Ordered Was Spectacular !! yes, I had a taste .lol. The meat ball appetizers were Great ,huge and made it impossible to finish our meals which have large portions as well. My steak from our second visit was superb !! The only negative thing i can say is that we had an older lady as our waitress the second time and we really didn't like her. She kept making condescending remarks about me , like I wasn't fine dinning enough to eat there. And then she charged us the dinner price for our lunch steaks which almost doubles the price, but we caught it and had her change it. Still Love La Casa though .The Angel Hair Pasta Is Incredible as well <3

I had high expectations for this place but to be honest the food is just OK, although the food is well presented. They have a decent menu with an attractive selection of dishes and wine. The ambience of the place is good, however I found it to be quite noice. Service was the worst, the server was very intrusive in our conversation and pushy because she was rushing us to make our orders, in few words it was RUDE. The service does not fit to the type of restaurant you are in and you will expect better since they include the 15% tip in your bill. I will conclude saying, it is a pricy restaurant with decent food and poor quality service. Enjoy it!

Starting with the positive, La Casa is a restaurant with good food and in a convenient location. Moving on, my experience was largely ruined by the server, Darla, who made inappropriate comments and guilt tripped us for being unsure if our 5th party member was going to show up (repeatedly). Apparently, we had caused them to turn down over 50 people because of our uncertainty which was odd as there was open tables. Darla made us feel as if we were an inconvenience and unwelcome. In addition to making us feel unwelcome from the start, she was unprofessional, recounting inappropriate anecdotes and generally looking unkempt. Additionally, we received similar exasperations when requesting to split the bill, something she offered to do. To end this entire experience, she put our leftovers in upside down containers, causing the food to leak through the vents. Overall the food was good, but not good enough to risk another encounter with Darla.

Not up to the reputation this place has and this is for two reasons. I ordered the sea food risotto and it was far from how sea food risotto should taste like. The shared plate of olives, cheese and cold cuts was very good though. Other people on the table liked their food, but not me and not the person who had the fillet. The second reason is the slow service, one of my friends mentioned that old restaurants tend to take their time and they don't care about pushing customers out in order to turn tables, yet I thought spending 3 hours at this place was a bit too much. We were the only table left when we asked for the bill and it took our server 20 minutes to bring it and instead was preparing tables for the next day.

We immediately felt welcome as soon as we walked in (without reservations!), and they gave us a private and quiet table for our date. The wine selection was varied in type and price, which made finding the right wine easy. Our server then described their mouth-watering specials, and she was very attentive to our needs the entire time. Everything was perfect . But what blew me away was the fresh bread . They bake it themselves every day, sometimes even twice a day. It. Was. Amazing. Of course all the food was delicious, but the bread and herb butter really impressed me.

We celebrate my brother's birthday a few months after his death. I have to say that the service we received from Darlyne was amazing. She made our evening, remembered each person at the tables name and there were 11 of us. Her recommendations and explaination of each dish on the daily special were great and we choose a few. She made even dietary retrictions requested easy. I have to say that 9 out of 11 people had never before been abd were so impressed that we will be back. I wanted to thank La Casa for making this a fabulous evening.

The owner was really welcoming. There is something for everyone on the menu. We had osso bucco, Risotto Jambalaya, venison and veal marsala. All the dishes were excellent except the veal which was overdone and not tender in the least plus the risotto that came with it was hard. Don't order the veal dish! The waitress was exceptional and provided friendly banter and exceptional service.

We walked in on a Saturday and they still seated us without a reservation which was very nice. Our waiter was the kindest man and we really enjoyed talking with him. The gnocchi were house made and very good as was the sauce. They let us order items that weren't specifically on the menu. Wine selections were mostly dry but we found something good. We even met the owner who made sure we enjoyed our experience. Highly reccomend eating here!

Went during winterlicious to try it out. Was impressed with the service which was attentive and friendly. The food was also very good. We did a three-course meal and a bottle of wine. The food was delicious. And not over-salted so you could taste the flavors. I had the risotto jambalaya and the sweet potato and bacon soup. Both were flavorful. Prices are reasonable for a lovely dining experience. The ambiance in the restaurant is also quite nice. It's a small restaurant but the tables are not squished together so you can talk comfortably amongst your party. I thoroughly enjoyed it, would definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

Great Italian food. They have a traditional service so you need to give them time (you'll need at least 1.5 hrs). Don't let that scare you off, the food is worth it. Great wine list and dessert menu with an intimate atmosphere.

Really good service. Friendly and personable staff. Food was quality as well. Rack of lamb was quality non chewy meat, properly cooked to medium rare and seasoned well. Duck was delicious too. Atmosphere/decor is very cozy. Candles, wood, some books, nice linens, black cloth napkins, nice downtown view. You get what you pay for and that's good in this case. Higher prices for a better meal wrapped in a dining experience. We made good memories and will be returning.

On July 2, 2015 My Husband, my Daughter who was visiting from Alberta, and I, were looking for a Restaurant that served Authentic Italian Cuisine. We wanted home made pasta and meatballs, gnochi and anything really made from scratch at the restaurant. My daughter and I both grew up and lived in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. where there are many wonderful Italian cooks, some of these women were friends and they shared recipes over the years There are also a few wonderful Authentic Restaurants. Some make their own pasta etc. I found La Casa on the Internet and telephoned to ask about their menu. I was told that indeed their pasta was genuine home made and that their meatball was a recipe from One of the owners Mothers. We ventured to La Casa and were very warmly greeted by the genlemen there. We were served promptly and professionally and to our delight a bit of humour. It was a wonderful experience both food wise and personally. I have not had such a wonderful meal and great service in a very long time. Even the bread that was served was absolutely delicious. We have tried many restaurants since moving to the area in 2006, I would rather cook myself than go to a restaurant and pay a fortune for a meal that is not up to par. This restaurant fills the bill for us and we are happy to go back again. The only problem we encountered was dessert. My daughter and I shared an Italian Lemon Meringue Tart. The crust was extremely hard and we could not cut it. The lemon filling was sparse and the Meringue was not meringue. It was just a bit of eggwhite beaten a bit. This month ; July, my husband is celebrating his 80th birthday and our friend Patricia is also celebrating her birthday. Our friends Mary,& Pat, ny husband and I have reservations for La Casa. In my estimation it is the best all around restaurant to go for a wonderful meal. In the event that you have not tried it you are missing a great eating experience. Thank you LaCasa for your graciousness and Mama for your wonderful meatballs, the chicken and gnocci were wonderful also as were the other entrees and appetizers we ate. Most sincerely. My wife and I went tonight for our 10th anniversary and after perusing the main menu decided to do the London luscious menu they are currently offering. It was our first visit to this restaurant and certainly will not be our last. The Caesar salad was fantastic with the parmesan crisp, the mussels were absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked. My wife's Chicken Marsala looked, smelled and tasted amazing and my dish of Risotto Jambalaya was a killer twist on a traditional risotto dish. I totally recommend this restaurant and look forward to our next visit.

A middling food experience that was salvaged by our tremendous server (a mature European gentleman). One awkward occurrence was that at after their last seating time and no new customers were being accepted, the front door was simply locked rather than having server or host explain the fact to any walk-ins. As our table was in the window, every potential walk in (as well as one staff member) would come and knock on the window after unsuccessfully trying the door. Naturally this was not ideal for the otherwise quite cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

Small touches make the difference too - fresh bread with lightly flavoured butter, delicious tapas, 3 different salads (each of us raving with each bite); 3 delicious entrees (salmon & risotto, pasta & tenderloin, arctic char & fresh vegetables)....all thoroughly enjoyed. For illustration....I had the salmon.... it was crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth tender on the inside. The caesar salad, served with pancetta (instead of bacon) and crispy cheese slice (instead of grated) tasted like caesar salad used to taste ... delicious. Our first time there. Won't be the last! Thanks La Casa for a "dining experience".

last night I celebrated my birthday with my friends, and it was a terrible experience, we got the food more then 1 hour later, I ordered the seafood risotto was over cooked my friends ordered pizza margerita it was awful they returned back to the kitchen the service was terrible and the waiter was rude and so was the owner.. will not go back ever again , my friends said the same and was over priced for the type of food and service that they offer

We had a reservation for 4 but we were at an event prior to going and 10 others decided to join us. It was at 2pm. We arrived and told them about changes...a bit of stress for the only server but she rearranged some tables and made it work. The food all arrived at the same time and was really good as usual. I think out of 14 people there were 10 different dishes ordered. Thanks for letting us all eat together!

OMG!!! It was excellent! In fact, I went to this restaurant by chance. It was much better than I expected. The Caesar salad was the best one I have ever eaten! I added shrimp to the salad because my friend like it. The shrimps were warm and fresh instead of frozen one after unfreezing. There is more than enough cheese in the salad. XD It was amazing. I ordered seafood sandwich. The bread was toasted excellently and there were a lot of fresh seafood with sliced tomato on the top. Lol, I will definitely go again!!!

Me and my boyfriend chose La Casa for our anniversary dinner and weren’t disappointed! Great wine selection and delicious food. We ordered the Calamari for an appetizer and it was exceptional. For mains, my boyfriend ordered the Risotto Jambalaya and I got the Oceana pizza, and we both loved our dishes. Would definitely return when we get a chance!

I've been to La Casa on a few occasions but the latest was to experience their Londonlicious 2016 menu. We had a very warm and personable greeting upon arrival and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was great. The service was fantastic with a little humor thrown in (my favorite) and the food was delightful! I thought I would try the braised beef ribs as I know these can be difficult to cook correctly and are often not as good as pork ribs. La Casa proved me wrong and not only showed me how delicious beef ribs could be but accompanied them with possibly the most delicious risotto I have ever eaten! I would definitely not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone and I will for sure be returning yet again. Thanks LA Casa!

Help La Casa! I cannot get a hold of anyone at La Casa. I love your place, this is not a complaint! Lol I have tried to get in contact through calls but get nothing (makes sense, temporarily closed), and the contact link on the website is broken. :( I've emailed as well. I love this restaurant and have reviewed it highly on other platforms, but am erasing my review on here with this, in hopes that someone will get in touch with me from management or the owner. Always a favourite. Started with their bread, charcuterie plate, and calamari. The charcuterie was really excellent with a wide range of meats, cheeses, and pickled vegetables. The calamari was a little tougher than usual which was disappointing as this is usually a favourite starter. The main courses were really good, Jambalaya Risotto, and Seafood Alfredo, all very nice. The service is friendly and attentive but not too intrusive. One of the best restaurants in the city.
