Grabbed takeout. Bland. Chow mein tasted like it was cooked in plain water ???? next time I'll try a seafood dish instead - it's what they are known for. But I won't expect authentic Chinese.

Golden Pond is a great local Chinese Restaurant...The food is comparable and somewhat superior to many other Chinese Restaurants that I have visited. The service is excellent, and staff are gracious and knowledgeable of menu items. Prices are reasonable. Menu has a great variety of items to choose from, and come out from the kitchen in a reasonable time..Can't hurry a good cook. Staff is attentive to all your needs.

Menu is combined with typical Chinese and Canadian entrees. Their selection of Chinese dishes is well rounded and delicious. The Moo Goo Guy Pan and Mushroom Egg Drop Soup is always a favorite for me at this restaurant. Careful, as the soup is always very hot in temperature. Sorry, but have never ordered a Canadian Dish at a Chinese Restaurant!

Stopped in to the Golden Pond enroute to Yarmouth, and enjoyed an excellent meal. Bonnie was our server and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the surroundings. The staff was gracious and very helpful. Will make it a "must stop" when we travel up to the city to see the kids and grandsons.
