My hubby and I went tonight and got the top sirloin and chicken and ribs. His chicken and ribs were cooked perfect .My steak, however, was over done by a little. They took it back and brought me a whole new dinner! Unfortunately again the steak was overcooked by just a little. The manager x2 both came out and sincerely apologized and took my meal off the bill. Everything else was just delicious. PS. Try the Bellini cocktail. Absolute heaven!

Very disappointed, we both had the prime rib and what was supposed to be medium rare was Rare. It had a ton of fat in it and was tough. It was just a big hunk of meat with absolutely no flavor to it. At $105 dollars I won't be going back there. We went to the Firestone last and it was great for at least $35 less.

They had good quality food and matching service it was really a pleasure to being their company. Our whole group enjoyed our meal and stay at the Keg. Me and my family went to the keg yesterday (10/17/16) and was disappointed with what we experienced. Our service was poor due to the fact that our waitress was slow and it seemed like it was her 1st day. She was not clear on certain signature keg upgrades. The table that they wanted to put us at was not only too small but real close to the next table so that if we were to have a personal conversation they would easily be able to hear. At that point I requested a booth , and yet still you could hear everything form surrounding tables including the kitchen . I ordered the softball sirloin which cost around 40.00, which is fine but I am expecting to be wowed , when it showed up it was as well disappointing the plate was not even 1/2 full. Beside the steak, which was good, there was a very small and plain side of mashed potatoes with 2 very small .plain asparaguses' with 1 slice of red pepper, after eating this plate I was still hungry . I have over 10 years in the food and beverage industry and I believe I have a good understanding of " a fine dining experience " . because of this I will give a one star rating for the very poor trip to your restaurant. if I were to suggest anything, it would be to work on training staff and on quality and quantity of the food. Unfortunately I will go other places to dine in Lethbridge until I have heard things have greatly improved.

I am writing this not because of the terrible service that I received when I brought my wife for her birthday. the food came out cold and it was not very good, Now they did ask me if I want to remake it, I told them that I was no longer hungry as the food took to long to make, and I did not want it. most restaurants apology and they do not charge for the food. what did this restaurant do! they charged me for a food that I did not eat and they wanted to give it to me to take with me. I told them to go shove it and even though I paid for the full bill. I told them this was the worst experience of my life. I believe they since fired the waiters and who knows even the manager, I have been back since that time and it has been fine. The food is ok, not amazing for the price you pay

We are very patient people and didn’t even realize how long it took for the appetizer but even then Tessa thought our appy took too long and got her manager to take it off the bill which was so nice of her and she really didn’t have to! Hands down the best upscale restaurant in Lethbridge. Not cheap by any means but you definitely get what you pay for. Haven't had a bad meal there yet. Best to call a day or so in advance for reservations, as it's always packed.

We were a party of 11. Excellent service and excellent food. 2 staff introduced themselves, served us the entire night and were prompt and attentive. Drinks were constantly refilled. Bread was hot and fresh good texture and tasted awesome. Appetizers came out quickly. We ordered the cauliflower appy and calamari appy. Both tasted great. I ordered the new York steak (12 ounce). Food came out hot and was very delicious. One dish was a bit burnt, the manager came and apologized as soon as it was realized and rectified it. Nice private setting, allowing our group the ability to converse easily without disturbing others. I would recommend eating here and I would return again.

Overpriced and underwhelming ☹️ 25% of my prime rib was too tough to cut with a steak knife let alone chew. Baked potato was dried out with very little topping. Only one butter with the bread for 4 people. But our server was very nice!

Absolutely appalled by the service I had to endure. Came here with two of my closest friends to celebrate an engagement, we booked a reservation online for 8:30pm. I have never been to the Keg before so i was very excited to indulge. Gave the hostess the confirmation and showed her the booking. She said she couldn’t find it then proceeded to tell us that the system doesn’t link to hers. I asked if we could wait for a table, she said yes but it will be a 45 minute wait. This was fine. A group of 3 came in about 5 minutes after us saying they didn’t have a reservation and they were quoted a 15 minute wait from the hostess. I ignored the comment and thought maybe our table was being sped up. Unfortunately I was wrong. She sat the other group and one after. We ended up leaving. I asked them to cancel our online reservation (which the other hostess found online). That’s not how you treat people. Very, very, disappointed. I hope a manager can contact me to remedy our experience.

The Keg in Lethbridge has been our go-to place for every special occasion. My birthday, my husband's birthday and our anniversary. We have missed a number of them due to the covid restrictions however were thrilled to be able to celebrate my husband's birthday today at the Keg. While it had nothing to do with our local restaurant we were disappointed to learn that the steak and king crab have been taken off the menu. We were a party of four and three of our dinners were absolutely amazing. Unfortunately on one meal the steak was overcooked. It took only a heartbeat for management to step up, apologize, and offered to remove that meal from our bill. This is an amazing restaurant with first class staff and managment. It will remain our first choice for special occasions. Thank you for your commitment to Quality and exceptional service.

The bread was rock hard, almost knocked my poor teeth out. (My husband jokes the bread tastes like a level 3 helmet from pubg, it can survive a bullet...) We asked for medium rare steak, got a medium well steak, but it's not a big deal. Also ordered chicken, the meat tasted a little weird, not sure why, lack of seasonings???... Salad was a little dried out, and also comes with hard croutons... maybe it's because we went on a late night?? The server was very nice tho... And sorry we are just passing by on a trip, but I really thought the main entrance was very hard to find at night, it was not very well lit...

You can't go wrong with The Keg in Lethbridge. All the steak options are delicious but I really enjoy the Thai chicken dish as well. The prime rib is to die for! Generous portions and lots of table bread which is always a bonus. We have never had bad service here, but it can get busy, especially during prime dinner hours and on weekends. Definitely make a reservation if you can. Drinks and food can get a little pricey, but it's a great option for a date night out.

A nice keg. Seated next to the kitchen unfortunately so it was rather loud. Otherwise the atmosphere is exactly what you would expect. It's a very big keg so seating is usually available. There is also a patio which is not very common for a keg. Prices are expensive but you get what you pay for. Great food!

Usually love the Keg, but today was by far the worst. Used the washroom to find 5 of the 6 stalls had no toilet paper. Went to host stand and 4 employees were milling about not paying any attention to customers. When I told them about the state of the washroom I felt I was inconveniencing them and had interrupted a more important conversation. Server was decent but failed to inform us there was no more prime rib which is the only reason we came. All other food was sub-par; tuna tartare was flavorless, bread was old and stale. On the bright side, I ate a salad....so didn’t leave overly full as I usually do. Probably won’t come back.

Haven’t been here in a while. The food was just ok and garlic shrimp was not as good as it used to be. Really small shrimp and couldn’t really taste the garlic and somewhat disappointing and appears to have been overcooked. The mushroom caps with crab were good. My medium sirloin Oscar was smaller than I remember and a little tough. I realize times are tight but overall was let down for our 45th anniversary. The wife enjoyed her oven roasted chicken. Keg sized caesars were 12$ a piece total bill was $140 with tip. Will look for something better in Lethbridge. Waitress was good and attentive

I have always enjoyed going to the keg for a good meal, but have been highly disappointed the last couple of times I went there. A couple of months ago we went and ordered a steak with the twice baked potato, the potato was freezing cold. Our waitress was polite, apologized and had the potato heated up and brought back out. Without a doubt we went back again about a month ago to enjoy a prime rib and steak. Our prime rib was average at best, it was over cooked and flavour less, if you didn’t eat it with the potato or sauce you could hardly finish the meal. Again without a doubt we went back a couple of evenings ago, this time we decided only to order some steaks, both a friend and myself ordered a medium-rare Top Sirloin steak, both coming out well done. When your paying for a $35-50 meal at a steak house you do expect for your steak to be cooked to how you desire it, and it is disappointing when it’s not. To add to the this last time, our service was poor.. our waiter was rude and did not care about our lack of satisfaction with the food. Next time we will think twice about coming back here and take the 100 dollars else where.

Still 5 stars. Easy reservation system online. Friendly greeting at the door and each time we were passed by staff as we were seated. Quick service with menus, bread, and water. Entree was ready when we were done our salads and appetizer. Entree and side dishes were all correct, as ordered. Dessert was exactly right for the end of our meal. Items: Tuna Tartare - excellent (we don't get out much, but this was the first time I have seen this on a menu in our area) Top sirloin steak - very good (my wife said she ordered the wrong "doneness" or it would have been excellent) Filet mignon - excellent (ordered rare, came rare, thanks chef!) Twice baked potatoes - excellent (loved the crispy skins) Mushrooms & tomatoes - excellent (cooked correctly, perfectly done) Some type of coffee/mud/ice-cream pie (Dessert) - very good, nice finish Service was also excellent. Go here for special occasions. A little pricey but worth the quality cuisine and attentive service. One of the best places I know for a well prepared steak - rare is so juicy! Connoisseurs of seafood will be happy to find it fresh and tasty even in landlocked Alberta. I like the variety in how they prepare their vegetables and greens sides. The beer menu is small but acceptable. I imagine the wine list is good but haven't explored that yet. Also never tried any dessert, always too stuffed to go there.

The pistachio crust was burnt, salmon was overcooked and tough, and the baked potatoe was tough and stale... not to mention the stingy portions of toppings. I got the New York striploin. My wife got the top sirloin, both were good, well seasoned and grilled to order. Had crispy fried cauliflower to start, which was very enjoyable as well as the mushrooms Neptune and the scallops and bacon. Amanda and her team had done way above what I had expected. (Worth the read) Amanda had asked me to personally come in and chat what I would like for my 1 year anniversary of dating and I wanted to make that special. Originally I had planned to just make a reservation to secure a table. I traveled from out of town by the way. She went above and beyond to make this night perfect. I dropped off so e candy and a card to have ready at the table, which I had never had the opportunity to do before and a card. She walked me through the drink menu based on the specific things I had mentioned to find the perfect drink for my spouse which by the way she loved. I had the old classic Canadian. She also arranged to have the Ckassic nachos come out within a perfect time after arriving. The waitress that served us, and I hate to forget her name, had brought then her drink out just as she went to the bathroom, but had kindly asked if I wanted her to bring it when she came back. Which I agreed. She also said happy anniversary. I could not have asked for a better night. The food was great, the service was by far the best I've had in my life, and the building itself was the best personally that I have seen in Alberta. Thank you everyone and this will be my primary for upcoming events. Love you all.

Never a bad experience at The Keg! I took my wife here for Mother's Day dinner. The food and service was excellent! When I told the host why we were there, we were given a seat in a quiet part of the restaurant so we could easily talk to each other. The restaurant is easy to get to and the dining room is large so you don't have to worry about waiting to get a seat even if you don't have a reservation.

Me and my wife went there tonight for the first time. I'm glad we did. It was great. My wife had a Steak Oscar a baked potato and veggies and I had a Peppercorn Top sirloin with the same sides. Both were cooked just exactly the way we wanted. We were fortunate enough to meet a young lady named Anne, who was our server. She was friendly, took the time to chat briefly with us, and treated us as though she couldn't do enough. We have decided we will definitely return and will ask to sit in her section. Pro: - Good Quality of steaks - Nice modern ambience inside Con: - dirty back parking lot (gives me immediately the feeling that the management doesn't really care) - the Peppercorn steak had way too much pepper on it, seriously too much. - the service was terrible. A young guy. He dropped water cubes and didn't pick them up. He spilled red wine on the table and the best, he spilled beer over a guest at the table beside us. Unprofessional for a restaurant which wants to play champions league. Overall, my personal feeling, it is not worth the value and the hype.

I really love this spot in lethbridge. It's a great spot for a nice steak and drinks at reasonable prices. I usially hang out in the lounge. The other night I got a few beers and a fat juicy 20 Oz rib steak with Bone in. Done Chicago style medium rare. It arrived cooked to perfection with the perfect amount of seasoning. The keg also gives you free bread which I gleefully accepted to wipe up all the juicy goodness.

The service is always excellent here. The food has been very hit or miss lately. The last 4 times we have come, our steaks have been very overcooked, and a couple of times they were gristly. It’s frustrating, given that steak is kinda the Keg’s “thing”. We feel spending $100+ on a meal for two people, and not being satisfied is pretty disappointing. We have had better luck with the prime rib, so we went to order that last night and they were sold out. I think that might be our last visit to the Keg for a while... 5 stars for service, 2 for food.

I haven't been there for at least that length of time because of on going medical problems but it is on my list to pay a visit very soon -- probably won't be until next year. I have always enjoyed going to the Keg regardless of where I'm living. As far as I'm concerned it is THE place to go to for prime rib????????. It is always clean and has a quiet demeaning atmosphere. The staff are always pleasant and one is usually greeted like a long lost customer. I had to use a walker the last time I was there and they were very accommodating in helping me. When I phoned about getting into the place as all I knew was there were a lot of stairs to climb????????. Needless to say they of course have handicap assistance. They also placed me in a spot where the one chair was moved and I just used my Walker to sit in. I quite often talk up the Keg as the place to go to. I eventually plan to go there when they have their lobster special.

Whenever you have a reservation they still make you sit & wait in the waiting room. What is the point of a reservation then? This happens literally every time. It would be understandable if it’s a late reservation & the previous tables take longer than expected- but it’s always an early seating when the restaurant is practically empty. Seems like a sneaky trick to try to make people think it’s busier than it actually is. Sometimes there’s an excuse like “just getting the table ready” but then the table is missing things anyways or all of the other 50 empty tables are made up as well. It’s just annoying.

Best steak in town (but it comes at a price). Friendly knowledgable staff, and great feature menus. They do lobster summer every year with fresh live Atlantic lobster. The cocktails and flavored martinis are great (and some change seasonally), and if you are looking for wine it has one of the best selections in the city. They also have great appies.

Although the service was great, all their efforts were seriously compromised by the quality of food sreved which was poor to average and certainly not worth the prices charged. Although the shrimp were tasty, I wondered how long the crab and lobster tail had been left frozen in the freezer to taste so bland. For any foodie that has some form of expectation from what they are ordering, it may be a serious dissapointment. I came away thinking I am able to cook a better meal at home.

Very disappointed with my keg experience tonight. First off they were out of almost everything the people at my table ordered. My steak, which I expected to be good at the keg, was tough and flavorless. Then after dinner the waitress tried to remove a drink that was half empty and spilled it all over my shirt and pants. I understand that accidents happen but I was not even offered a replacement drink. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

Ben was probably the best server we have experienced in Lethbridge to date. He made the whole experience feel like a very fine dining experience. No complaints on either the food which was awesome or the service which was also great, however to see that there was no social distancing anywhere in the restaurant and no plexiglass or other protective measures in place was very disappointing to say the least. We were lucky enough to be at a table that was six feet away for most of the meal but I had to shovel down dessert like you’re in prison when another couple was seated no more than 2 feet away. With most seating in the open, very close together and no sign of 50% occupancy there would be no surprise that NYE at The Keg turns into a super spreader event! I’m hoping that nobody takes away covid from The Keg to kick off 2022 but with nobody seeming to action or enforce provincial health guidelines nothing would surprise me! It is this total disregard for health issues that leads to restaurants being closed down, and widespread lock downs, based on The Keg you only have yourselves to blame. Surely 50% occupancy safely is better than 0% when locked down again?

The staff were wonderful and our waiter was professional and nice. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and the place was overall amazing. Some reviews said it was to dark but it's enough light to read a menu and see your food and your partner. The food was delicious! And cooked perfectly! Some reviews said it was expensive but it is high quality, I suggest getting the 12oz steak if you want to be more filled, I got the 8oz and was very good and cooked perfectly, the 8oz cost 26 I believe and the 12oz cost 31 my bf got that one. The dinner comes with starter bread that's free. At The Keg you pay for quality and taste if you don't want to pay that much for a dinner out then I suggest Boston pizza (not a steakhouse) that's my next favourite place. I would come back here for sure I wouldn't make it a weekly date night place but once in a while would be perfect. Our dinner for 2 cost $122 including a generous tip, some drinks, 2 steak meals and 2 desserts which I could barely finish I was so stuffed haha.

I enjoyed my birthday dinner and the treat provided by the restaurant was an addes bonus. I was almost 30mins late for ny reservation and the retaurant was so patient after they called and I explained the holdup. My server (i forgot her name) was amazing. She was amazing with my child, got our orders correct and was so professional that I was inpressed. The food was tasty too. Def will be returning. Great experience.

Don't be fooled, you can dine at a Keg Restaurant in Calgary or Edmonton and have a great steak, but you will not find that in Lethbridge. Thought I would try again last night, and what a terrible steak. I am passed the point of complaining and to the point of never eating at this overpriced, overrated restaurant ever again. Like most things in Lethbridge, if you want better selection and service, you need to drive to Calgary. And hey if it was a special occasion? I would have gone to Earls...

This place is known for quality and service. Whatever you do, do not fill up on the warm bread before the entree! You are bound to lose your appetite before you leave so make sure to leave a little room for dessert. My favorite is the mini creme-brule.

The customer service at this location is amazing. My family went there to celebrate my promotion and a birthday and they gave us 2 free desserts which is standard. When the main course case out my brother looked at my steak funny (because I like it more rare than he does) and the manager saw this and immediately offered me a new steak because she thought it was cooked incorrectly even though it was cooked just how I like it. Thanks for the awesome service!

If you can, sit on the patio! It's very protected from the wind by their high glass walls, and the trees mask the view of the parking lot quite well. And the service and food are still what you've come to know and love about the Keg!

Arrived for a 5:30 reservation to an empty dining room, but can't be seated til 5:45. Some party clean up or something. ? All you had to say was you were reorganizing for the dinner crowd, not lie to me and say my reservation was 5:45. Cocktail delivered to table was marked up 25% more than the bar. I love a good Caesar, but this was not. Mignon overdone. Veggies perfect. Garlic mash too salty, not enough garlic. Caesar salad, fried cauliflower were SUPERB. Server was polite and pro.

Eight of us were seated in a good area with two tables due to the Covid. Ben was our server and he was awesome . The prime rib was outstanding I think six of us had it and no complaints. All the staff treated us great as soon as we entered the Keg. My fiance was very happy with her favorite desert Creme Brulee .
