The food here while maybe not the most traditional food in the world, is really really quite good. Prices are very reasonable, and if you're looking for relatively authentic Mexican food this place is your One-Stop shop in Lethbridge. This was a delightful surprise on an otherwise snowy weekend

Cafe Verde is a longtime favourite of mine, and I’ve been coming here since they opened. I would have previously given 5 stars, but unfortunately, portion sizes have decreased substantially and prices have risen. The portion of meat you get with a meal is paltry, although delicious. One thing that keeps me coming back is their salsa selection - truly tasty and actually spicy, which is rare to find.

The enchiladas are delicious so normally that's what I order. I decided to try another dish, not sure what it's called but it had 2 eggs in the dish. It was amazing, a little pricy but we'll worth it. Service and quality of food is great, recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food.

I love this kind of "subway" style here! You can pick the topping, sauce, cheese and meat you prefer! The owner is super nice, he will chat and play with you when you re lining up! It makes the food more yum! I love their Hot sauce! Just the line up take a bit long, other thing is prefect!

I just experienced their food through Skip the Dishes. food is awesome but I would suggest that for delivery any cold foods be separated from the hot foods. I got the salad which was supposed to be cold in the same container as the meal that was delivered to me. I did not eat the salad since it was not kept cold and separate. They also got my order wrong and ended up ordering twice thanks to Skip credits so I could get what I actually paid for

I love this place! The food is wonderful, it is light, it is fresh, and it is tasty. I should mention, however, that the for doesn't taste the same as Cafe Rio. The reason for that is probably the difference in available ingredients in the USA versus Canada. But don't let that deter you. This place is a great place for a good meal.

I find Motte's Cafe's service, selection and setup is very good. The quality of the food is at good standards with great taste. The family running the Cafe put a lot of effort into their work and do a great job with it. My favourite item is the custom burrito choosing everything you want to be on it with different types and spice levels of sauces. If you go for level six you'll be warned????! If you're ever wanting a burrito this is the place!

Super friendly staff .. .. super amazing food ...... just remember they're closed on Sundays. I had an enchilada style burrito vegetarian with Diablo sauce and green spicy sauce. It was amazing but it was spicy and that's exactly what I wanted. Not a lot of people I think can handle the Diablo sauce but if you can go for it it's really spicy. I also have fresh jalapenos added to it.

Incredibly slow service (2 people in line in front of us, almost 20 minute wait), cheese tasted like preshredded presidents choice cardboard, overpriced, and they "were out of refried beans"?! Go to the corner store and buy some cans! Its not a franchise! Have a hard time understanding how this has almost 5's across the board. This isn't very good mexican food. Credit where it is due, the meat was ok. Stingy on the pico de gallo, Jarritos are available from Costco for $30 for a pack of 24, where this place charges $4+ tax!! Would not recommend this place, won't be back Edit - apparently the store is a liar as well. It was $3.95 for a jarrito to be exact, it says so on the sign. And the cheese was disgusting

I am very disappointed in café verde. I have eaten there many times and it's always been a great experience. Until today, I have not been in quite some time but decided to go today. I have a full buy 10 get 1 free card. After ordering and at the till to pay I present the card and am told it is no good we don’t use those cards anymore. After questioning why the owner doesn’t even come over he just says we don’t use those anymore. I’m sorry but this was a pathetic excuse for customer service. I’m sorry but I will not be returning. Yes the food is good. But is now overpriced $15 for a burrito that used to be $8.95.

Well I haven't tried many other dishes, I have found one that I absolutely adore. I always get the burrito enchilada style, and it's always wonderful. The same three young ladies we seem to be working when I'm in there but they are wonderful they are very helpful and very talkative which is wonderful when I've had a bad day. I would strongly recommend this location anybody who wants real, delicious Mexican food that does not come out of a fast food chain.

Great Mexican food and great atmosphere. Possibly one of my favourite Mexican restaurants in Lethbridge. The menu was a bit confusing the first time I went, but the staff are very friendly and helpful with it if you ask. The pricing isn't too bad, some can be a little expensive, but for the most part is reasonable for what you get and how filling it can be. The food itself is very good. My favourite is the 2 enchiladas. I usually get the ground beef, but I like most of their meats they offer. The refried beans are good as well with nice flavours. The rice isn't too bad, but some rice grains were not fully cooked but it didn't bother me too much. The pico de gallo is very good and my personal choice of dressing is the Mexican coconut. It has a nice coconut flavour that isn't over powering with coconut, is also creamy and goes well with the salad. They also introduce the Mexican hot chocolate a couple years ago and is now one of my favourite hot chocolates to get. There is a little spice to it and really brings out more flavour. Lastly, the guacamole is very good too. It's nice and creamy, seasoned well, and lots of flavour to it. Overall, Cafe Verda is a great casual place to get some great Mexican food when you get the craving for it. I would highly recommend going here if you have never had Mexican food or looking for good food to eat.

The food here is great because it is so fresh tasting compared to a plain old burger and fries. It's also way better than fast food tacos. I don't feel weighted down with a bloated brick in my belly when I am done but the portions are so plentiful that I do feel more than satisfied. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is great. The tables and chairs are pretty basic but it's a fun place to have an informal dinner. I love Mexican food and I love Cafe Verde.

Multiple food options and I've yet to find a combo I didn't like. Something as simple as a enchilada gives you multiple meat options, including gluten-free! There can be a wait because the food is that good, but all the staff are friendly and helpful when being more adventurous with food choices. Oh yeah, there are also a dozen of salsa choices. If you do have room for dessert, you can never go wrong with a churro. You gotta try this place!

Kevin Tait told me that user error shouldn't count, I don't do well with spice and i thought it would be a good idea to get Chilé lime sauce (which had 2 fire emojis by the way). Well to my dismay it was damn near intolerable as my eyes watered, my throat had fire ants and my mouth felt as if I had drank gasoline and lit a match inside it.

Fantastic Mexican fare, at a reasonable price. First timers are always safe with a Burrito Enchilada style. With a variety of made-in-house meats (citrus chicken is a personal favorite) and an excellent selection of original recipe salsa's ranging from sweet & mild verdes to the diablo (for all you Spice Lords out there) you'll be satisfied with whatever meal you choose. And there are plenty of choices!! Their Holy Tacos, as well as Tacos Al Pastor are some amazing authentic dishes worthy of your taste buds anytime you're in Lethbridge. Staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming and social. Ask your questions; they're more than willing to have a conversation with you. Establishment is clean with a great atmosphere. It's clear they've made an effort to give you an authentic experience from door to table. It's a shame they don't make the Horchata as authentic as their food. It is a 'Mix' of sorts. Delicious, but not authentic. But don't let that stop you from enjoying this great Locally Owned Restaurant!

Julio, the owner, makes his own salsa's, tortilla's and meats he learnt growing up in mexico. It's about as authentic as you will find in Lethbridge. The salsa's alone are worth coming back for. We just had Cafe Verde again for our corporate lunch and it was priced decent and very tasty. Everyone loved it!!

This place is more tex-mex than mexican. Service is fast for some items and no so fast for others. I have nachos, fish tacos and chorros for desert. The salsas are good but be aware the diablo salsa is extremely ???? hot, I never try something this hot in Canada. Is a small restaurant nothing fancy, the service is ok the food is ok prices are reasonable.

The food here is great and there are lots of gluten free options! Definitely the best authentic experience in Lethbridge for mexican cuisine. The owner is so friendly and is always on the front lined. He remembers the regular customers and will start there orders as they walk in. Overall the experience is just great, would be hard to find better food and service at this price point.

Ended up grabbing dinner (take out there tonight). Had heard good things but overall wasn't too impressed. My wife was saying it was one of the worst salads she's had. But she did mention the horchata was actually quite well. Would be surprised if we end up back there again.
