Don't know what the fuss is about or how the MCB is top ranked. Waited 5 mins to be sat. That's fine. Then another 10 mins and no one comes to the table. Throughout the whole time barely any eye contact from staff to no eye contact at all. No snappy greeting. No offer of water. No glance in our direction. No "Hi there, I'll be with you in just a minute." The team seemed to be very involved in their own worlds. We just got up and left. Getting off on the right foot and making a great first impression is the most crucial aspect of a dining experience. This was clearly lost on the team that was there today... July 27 2pmish.

We had salmon,masala and pork tenderloin The salmon which is supposed to be wild caught looks suspiciously like chinook and not sockeye as its extremely pale not "dark salmon color" which would mean its farmed.The quinoa was so salty my husband couldnt eat it.The masala was quite bland and the pork tenderloin was a fairly small portion and my son complained he was still hungry after a $25 meal.So overall not a great experience to be honest.

Start off with it wasnt that busy but waitress forgot our waters. Served a table that sat down after us first. Ordered food and a table that ordered 5 minutes after us got their food first. Took 40 minutes to get a pulled pork sandwich and a kids order of chicken fingers. The cabana fries are made in the morning and served cold. Pulled pork tasted like curry and sweet sauce wasnt very good. Dont like leaving bad reviews but wasnt the greatest experience. And we went there to sit on the patio but settled for the inside as the patio was full. Should have taken that as a sign.....

This is my favourite restaurant. They are always accommodating. It's hard to eat out with Celiac disease, but they always make sure my meal is 100% gluten free. *Edit* I no longer recommend Mocha to my fellow celiacs. Not sure what happened, but they have significantly less gluten free options and the last two times I've ordered I've had to send my meal back because it has come out with glutenous ingredients. It's still a wonderful place for regular eaters though!

My Best favourite restaurant in Lethbridge. Good Food, good decoration and good service! I love their homemade bun, it's so soft! And their homemade fries is awesome too, you need to try it :) this time I ordered sweet potato fries, but the fries was not so crispy like before. Maybe because that day was busy. Although it was busy on that day, I didn't need to wait my food for too long! My family said their burger was overcooked but my chicken burger was cooked perfectly! Will come next time and try some new dishes :)

Food was top notch, and the atmosphere is really nice. It's an old industrial shop converted into a classy eatery. Everything was clean and they did a great job with the Covid-19 social distancing, etc. They have some lovely art on the walls which can be purchased. They have some nice wines, and some non-alcoholic cocktails which is a nice treat. The desserts were amazing. The menu isn't very complicated. The cheesy garlic focaccia bread starter was excellent, although the cheeses weren't noticeably "expensive" - more cheddar and mozza and not as much parmesan or asiago. The salads were really excellent, with some cool flair. The sandwiches were definitely the high-point of the menu, far superior to the other entree options. Definitely will go back for more, next time we're in Lethbridge.

The food here is very tasty, made from high quality, local ingredients, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is great. How can this restaurant get less than 5 stars? Also, the Mexican hot chocolate and the pies/cakes are amazing. The Oreo didn't wow me, but one less than amazing food out of all their offerings is a damn good success rate.

Yesterday was my boyfriend and I anniversary. He took me to Mocha Cabana Bistro for lunch. Mocha Cabana Bistro is located downtown, Lethbridge. It is in a heritage building. Lethbridge Mocha Cabana is original farm to table restaurant. The many local companies and markets provide fresh ingredients to Mocha Cabana. We arrived Mocha Cabana Bistro around 11:30 am. It was not busy at that time. We got a seat fast and began our order. All the food on the menu is around $15 – $20, which is a little bit of expensive. I had Soup & Salad Combo, which is around $16. Today special Soup is Mushroom potato soup. The soup was boiling hot and tasted OK. Besides that, I choose the house green salad with Saskatoon Berry dressing, served with a garlic focaccia wedge. The house green salad and dressing were very delicious. My boy friend ordered Beef Dip, which like $17. Roasted Benchmark Angus beef on a focaccia roll with horseradish lemon aioli, served with au jus. (GF if served on GF bun or toast). The Yam Fries was on the side, was very tasty and fresh. Servers were very nice and friendly. They always came by and asked for the water refill. In summary, Mocha Cabana Bistro is very nice place to have a quick lunch.

Mocha Cabana situated in downtown Lethbridge offers lunches, dinners and dessets. They had extended their restaurant to a patio behind the restaurant. It is covered and nicely decorated. They have nice vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Locally grown produce is served. There is also live band on some weekends. Overall a very nice atmosphere.

I'm super frustrated with the quality of the order I received by delivery. The Club sandwich was absolutely TINY (I have had this item in the restaurant before and it wasn't like this) and one of pieces of the tiny bread used was an end piece flipped over. The meat in the sandwich was one massive ball because the bread was so small! The Kids meal was a total disaster. $11 for the saddest squashed looking COLD grilled cheese and WET and cold sweet potato fries. The inside of the fry box was dripping with condensation! And to top it all off my order was crammed into the smallest bag it could all fit with 2 items wedged in sideways - but the worst part of that was my bag had just one lousy staple in the middle of the top, so the sides were basically open. Folding the top over would have been impossible because the bag was too small for my 2 person order. I can't believe I threw my money away like that. The kid's meal was uneaten. I had to deconstruct my sandwich and use MY OWN bread to make a sandwich. The entire order? WASTE OF MONEY. Lost my business!

We went to Mocha Cabana for a small lunch meeting, just two of us. The food was so good! The soup was full of flavour, perfect temperature. The sandwiches were huge and every ingredient was so good on them! We had to have dessert - cheesecake and cookie sandwich. Both were wonderful. Service was attentive and efficient. Sorry Lethbridge, but this place has crashed majorly since the new menu/owners/whatever back in 2016. Get ready for a fairly vanilla affair with uninspired meals ordered from an ugly menu. Literally the worst veggie burger I've ever eaten (was that rice paper in there?) from a place that used to have tasty creative options. Staff did not know what a macchiato was, telling me that is actually a Starbucks drink???? ... girlfriend's latte was a huge 20oz mug of hot milky espresso. **Saving grace: The yam fries are still epic!!**

Just visiting Lethbridge for the weekend and ended up here for brunch today. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful inside. It’s truly a shock when you walk through the doors from the street. One key feature is that they have a couple of games and toys which kept my three year occupied until his food was ready. We also had a fantastic waiter who you could tell was no stranger to hard work. He kept our coffee and water filled throughout our time there. The food was awesome too. Something for everyone and worth the price you pay because it is locally sourced and freshly made. Well done Mocha Cabana. Next time we are in Lethbridge - this is now our go to place.

I went here with my girlfriend last night and we had the butternut squash ravioli and the vegetarian tortellini with foccosia bread and wow! I would rate it 2.5 if I had the ability. Food wise it was a 3, quantity was very average, and that would neither add nor detract from it's score. But flavour wise it was only alright, like if your mother in law made you something and you could eat it and say it tastes good without just lying through your teeth, but you wouldn't actively seek out more unless you were really hungry. The ingredients weren't particularly high quality, but the result should have been better with what they were using. Service was also very average, nothing special or to complain about. The patio is really nice, and the atmospherics inside are pleasant also. So with everything else being very middling or modestly positive they are mostly held back by prices that are $3-$5 more per item (~20-30% higher) than they should be, being what is basically a slightly inferior version of what you might find at somewhere like Boston Pizza. With people figuratively tightening their belts right now, I can't say this should be your restaraunt of choice if you want to get a fair value of meal experience for your money. If they moderately improved either the quantity of food or reduced the prices, I believe they would fairly have a 3 star rating (3.5+ for both). However, flavour is really the big one, if they improve the flavour to amazing you could just say 4.5 - 5 stars based on that change alone. Alternatively, if they significantly improved the atmospherics, or service they could better justify the prices. Bigger drinking glasses would waste less of the staff's time. It just reminded me of a small town or gas station diner menu, only with prices significantly higher than Earls.

It was our first time to try to eat here yesterday.the food was really good. We ordered swiss mushroom burger, mocha cabana burger with chips. Decided to try this place out via Skip, mistake. Ordered a Croissant Chicken Sandwich with Veggies and Ranch, a Pulled Pork Sandwich with Cabana Chips w/ aioli, and a piece of cheesecake. Order in date night. I received half a piece of garlic toast, a side caesar salad, the pulled pork sandwich, but with sweet potato fries instead, and the cheesecake. No chicken sandwich, no veg, no ranch, no chips, no aioli. Sandwich was good, but that was about it.

My husband and I recently stopped in to Mocha Cabana while visiting my grandma in Lethbridge. I have celiac disease and react very severely, and in addition to that I also have a number of other allergies that can make it pretty challenging for me to eat anything but salad at restaurants deemed 'safe' and I am generally too apprehensive to eat out most places as I don't expect them to accommodate me. My husband called ahead and was so impressed with their kitchen practices that we decided we had to check this place out! We arrived and the restaurant itself was beautiful and tastefully decorated. The menu has something for everyone and all three of us raved about our meals. I loved how many organic and local ingredients they had and I love that they are a local business supporting farmers and other local businesses. The staff was great, warm and welcoming and I loved that the space was also quiet so we could visit with my grandma properly and enjoy ourselves. My husband said their burger was one of the best he had ever had, and had similar things to say about the pie for dessert. Definitely a gem worth checking out if you are ever in the area :)

Really good food but a terrible management. I have gone to this restaurant several times but the last two times have caused me to not want to return. One of the visits I went with my aunt, step mother, and friend. When we walked in we were greeted by a woman who I later found out owned the business. She did not exactly greet us but instead said "We are busy so you can wait or you can leave." We did not feel welcome after that so did take our business elsewhere. The next time I went I took a friend from out of town there and again the same lady greeted us. This time she had a waitress remove a table (which was pushed together to be apart of a group) while the group of people were still eating. While thankful she sat us this time, she stuck this table right in between 2 large groups and we had no table cloth or anything. Then later when our waitress came to take our order she grabbed the waitress' arm and pulled her away and told her to go run plates. Upon seeing the horror on our faces she explained she had surgery and could not lift plates. To me this does not excuse physically grabbing a worker while she is doing her job, she could have waited until she was done but apparently our table was low on the priority list. Basically, it is a shame the woman in charge doesn't behave more professional because the food is so good.

Food tastes pretty good. But the staff need to be educated about what Celiac disease is and what gluten-free means. I went with one of my friends who has Celiac disease and when she ordered one of the gluten-free dishes on their menu, the waitress asked her if it was a "true" allergy or "just a preference" because the food is not prepped in an allergen-free environment. Seriously? If you cannot guarantee the food (and the oil to fry the food in) to be gluten-free, then you really should not be advertising it as such. Turns out the only thing safe for my friend to consume was a salad. Very disappointing visit for her obviously.

I LOVE this restaurant. With all of my allergies they get it right every time, and they have the most options I can try of anywhere I've gone. Most restaurants have one or two choices for me and it gets old fast. Mocha Cabana Bistro has tons of options even dessert I can have. Their chocolate peppermint cake is so good! A little pricey, but totally worth it

Mocha Cabana Bistro is a wonderful jewel in downtown Lethbridge. I appreciated the comfortable layout of the restaurant with ample dining areas with a choice of booth, table, cozy or open seating arrangements. The lovely and personable staff served my friend and I with patience, knowledge, and professionalism. Management supports the Lethbridge area entrepreneurs by purchasing from local vendors, farmers, and bakers. Our food had an appetizing presentation. The flavor and texture was balanced and comforting. We both left with a well sated appetite and very happy with our lunch. I'm looking forward to my third visit celebrating a birthday lunch with one of my favorite daughters. Bon appetit.

Went for brunch on Sunday, March 24. We were seated promptly and given menus. Coffee refills too a long time, but they were pretty busy. We ordered and had to wait close to an hour to get our food. People that had gotten there after us had already eaten and left before we got our food. Once the dishes arrived, it was overcooked for the most part. The potatoes which are usually amazing were dry and crunchy. The eggs were overcooked. I had to get up and get my own silverware from another table. We did not want to send anything back because we felt like it would take another hour. Quite honestly, I wasn't happy having to pay almost 20 dollars a plate for subpar food with a long wait. From reading the pervious reviews, it seems as if Mocha Cabana has an issue serving small groups of people. If it's just you and another person, I would recommend giving them a try. If you're in a group, go elsewhere.

The best chicken cordon bleu ever - Mocha En Bleu. The chicken coating was perfectly crispy, there was just the right amount of locally produced cheese and ham. To die for - you must try it. The sweet potatoes and patty pan went very well with the chicken. I'd order it again but with the sauce on the side rather than under the other elements. This is a personal preference. As always the service was very good.

This place is always hit or miss and this time, it was a definite miss. We were there for over an hour and were only served an appetizer and cold coffee. When we finally received the meal, it was not up to menu specifications. I ordered a pizza and instead received tomatoes on bread. When we complained, the waitress blamed the fault on my order and would not listen to their so-called "valued customers." Definitely will be a while if we decide to go back.

I reviewed here a year ago as the food was less then satisfactory but today my review had changed. A waitress named Stephanie was our server. She was by herself and the entire restaurant was full. She single handily managed to make everyone in the restaurant enjoy their stay. She was friendly, charismatic and kind and whatever she is being paid now deserves to be raised. That woman works harder then any server I’ve ever seen. She was fantastic. The food was fantastic and it was the best night I’ve had in awhile. Thank you Stephanie.

The back patio is everything to me. I love the vibe, of a cozy fire pit with blankets and bistro lights. You can read about their inspiration and reason for opening it too, because the backstory is on a plaque back there. Inside, it's welcoming and homey too. I'm a big fan of Mocha Cabana. Their food is always amazing and the menu has a good selection. They source from a lot of local food providers which is awesome. Cabana chips are so unhealthy but are to die for and I swear they have the best sweet potato fries in town. You can barely resist getting dessert here because their cheesecake selection is unbelievably awesome. The restaurant can get quite busy so if you can make reservations, especially for large parties. In the summer, I love their enclosed patio area! Service is always good although food can take a little while when they're busy, but it's worth the wait. :)

This place has a great look and feel, and good service. I had a blue cheese burger for $19. At that price, I'd expect something more appropriate than romain lettuce and pickle chips for topping. The burger itself was good, although the blue cheese was slim. There's lots of positives reviews here, so obviously I ordered the wrong thing, but if you're not going to do something well, don't have it on the menu.

Honestly I am sooo glad I chose this place, am in Lethbridge for a day and let me start by saying I got greeted nicely at the door. They accommodated my baby with crayons and a soppy cup. I got the best server I have had in a while!!! My order had pork in it and I forgot to ask and I asked after she was serving the meal and she didn't waste any time and returned straight to the kitchen! Her name as Britney! She honestly deserves recognition. I am Muslim and this has happened sooo many times before in different restaurants, but this incredibly polite reaction was a first. It felt like the servers were rushing us the whole time. I imagine their cheesecake is great (I can't have cheesecake) and the food is good but it took a long time to get our food. I almost suspect they forgot to put in the order then did it later. My biggest disappointment, which is only a one time thing I know but it still ruined our ladies night out, was that because of an Internet problem they were having we couldn't use debit, we were told we had to use our credit cards or go to a bank machine to get cash. When the same thing happened at Starbucks they just gave me my drinks for free. It seemed petty for Mocha Cabana to force us to drive to a bank machine or transfer money to our credit cards (i had to transfer money via my cell phone internet) just because they had an internet issue at that moment and wouldn't accept debit (which they didn't make us aware of before we ordered)

Ok. Hoping to lunch on the patio arrived at 11:39. No room and not able to move tables, fair enough. Asked if we wanted to sit in the restaurant which was empty to which we agreed. We were told it would be a ten minute wait (no one in the restaurant) you would think that they would srat us immedistely and bring water snd menus to get started and capture anout 250.00 worth of business. Nope we had to wait for 10 minutes!! Restaurant staff have to vzlue customers time which is far more important than their time. We got up snd left snd enjoyed a great lunch st the Fireside grill on the beautiful pstio. I hope the msmagement at this restaurant pays attention to this review.

The food was fantastic, I had the Fettuccine Alfredo and the experience was similar to the scene in Ratatouille where the critic eats the food and thinks of his childhood. There's a homeless shelter next door however so the street is a little full of shady types and a drunk homeless person had to be removed from the restaurant. So if your willing to take a chance at your car being broken into while you enjoy a fantastic meal then I highly recommend it.

The potatoes in the scramble where tasting like they were straight out of the garden delicious and perfectly cooked. Even the toast I was served was nice, I know that's a little strange to point out but it was good. When I walked in it smells like the hood fans had been turned off a little bit because there was smoke in the air and it didn't really smell that great. I'm sure this is just a one-off occasion. The restaurant seems rather clean although it had that old building feel. We sat on the patio which was nice and Charming although looking at refrigerators and freezers around took the atmosphere down just a notch. Space is a premium in restaurants and I understand so that's okay. The quality of food will definitely have me coming back.

After a long day in the sun out at wrighting on stone we were looking for diner style food and decided to try here. So glad we did the food was so tasty and filling, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxing we sat on the patio. Our server was Sedona and she was delightful. Super friendly she always made sure we had what we needed and didnt wait for refills she went above and beyond without it ever feeling like it. I would recommend this place to anyone definitely give this place a try you'll be glad you did.

Generally a favourable experience. I enjoyed their Canadian Fog tea, a nice twist on the London Fog, on a cooler fall evening. Good enough to feel like good value for the price? I can see an argument for yes, but not for me personally. No issues with the service. I had the sun-dried tomato and feta cheese tortellini, with added prawns. The dish was chain restaurant generic as the sum did not become greater than the parts. The sun-dried tomatoes did not come through the sauce at all. The sauce also tasted diluted as if it should be reduced or pasta wasn't drained enough. No shortage of feta on top, but the pasta at the surface tasted dried rather than mildly baked after melting the cheese, I assume. I ordered additional prawns at the recommendation of the server. The prawns were nice and were served separately on a skewer with the tails attached. Obviously meant to be a side rather than integrated into the pasta. Not unreasonable, but unexpected. The dish feels like it fills a slot on the menu rather than achieving a goal. Dessert was good. Nice atmosphere, nice server, but the food during this particular visit left me indifferent. I'm just not sure if the value competes with chain restaurants for a similar price, business practices aside.

We enjoyed an excellent candlelight supper for five, including two kids. The atmosphere at Mocha Cabana is trendy but relaxed, with a young clientele and the staff were friendly, polite, and efficient. The menu is varied, with a healthy mix of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and mains. Our burger and meal-size salads were all tasty, as was the mocha. We didn't order desert, but there was a wide variety to choose from available. Next time!

I have been to Mocha Cabana a couple of times and have always found it to be over priced, their are a few gems on the menu that they do really well. But 19$ for sub-par sandwiches, 4.45 with tax for a can of Pepsi? Not sure if the shot of rum was missed but that's absolutely ridiculous. I ordered over the phone so wasn't aware they would gouge you for a can of pop. The prices were not justified by service, presentation, portion or quality. Thank you for your response. I appreciate you clarifying that it was an accidental charge, but I did not know this was the case and am not going to call to argue over what you charge. Which goes for the sandwiches as well, they were made how they were and I paid what I paid for them. Unfortunately I did not think it was worth it if you were to compare to other places and similar items. You served me what you would serve to anybody else and I am reviewing that experience.

This place is over priced, go spend your money somewhere else. We ordered the croissant crispy chicken sandwich and Jamaican beef pastry and we're very disappointed. The chicken sandwich tasted just like the Arby's chicken cordon bleu which at Mocha Cabana was $17 before tax and tip and no drink. You can get the same thing at Arby's for $10 which better curly fries and a drink. The Jamaican beef pastry was not very big and should have been $10 but was sadly $17.

Mocha Cabana used to be my favourite restaurant in Lethbridge. In the past year or so, that has changed. This is due to a lot of changes in both the menu and staffing. They have changed their menu and got rid of some great items, like the duck and spinach salad. They also increased their prices so much, Items that used to be $13 are now close to $18. I went for breakfast and my eggs Benedict was over $17 and the potatoes were GROSS. They tasted like they were dinner potatoes all mushed up. They also charged me for syrup, which is insane, and over $6 for a small latte. Which is crazy to me because I can get a way better cup of coffee at any other coffee shop for cheaper. Needless to say, Mocha is no longer my favourite restaurant in Lethbridge.

Always have a good time here. This was like months ago but my family and I were having the worst day, so we decided to stop here, knowing it was excellent. The server was so personable and funny that it saved our day. Got a game of scrabble in. I highly recommend the drinks, big fan of the orange creamsicle over here. Food specials are great, once I was surprised to find seared ahi tuna on special. Can you believe it? Good desserts too.

Whenever I go into mocha cabana I am always greeted promptly and cheerfully. It's not uncommon for all the employees to smile or say hi at some point. One lady (I believe she is the owner) will always come around and is usually there which is nice to see. Food quality is amazing and everything is reasonably priced (local, organic and fresh ingredients). I work at a local hotel here in Lethbridge so it's always a great recommendation for guests to support another local business. I've never been disappointed with mocha cabana, and in fact they're always exceeding my expectations!

Ordered a steak sandwich medium yesterday and it was on the smaller side but still tasted great. I tried to order something as I had a guest over today and they wanted a steak sandwich medium. Not only was it well done (zero pink) it was also so small! Like a 3 oz steak. The onion ring was larger than the steak and it was half the size of the bread it was put on. For $20 this is absurd. Before commenting I tried to call, twice, to see if we could find a solution over the phone. No answer and no voicemail.
