ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Doesn't matter weather you sit on the restaurant side or the bar side service is always great. Food is the best in the city, I tell all my family and friends to come here, I go to Lethbridge a couple times a month and i always eat here!! 10/10!

I ordered pizza for my family. 1 med speacilty and a small pepperoni. It came about an hour late and was ice cold. Tastes horrible. I called and talked to a manager. He apologized and told me my next pizza would be free. I wasn't going to try again but thought this time they would be good about it. No. I ordered the same order and was told there was no record of the managers offer but he would give me 50% off. I declined. I will never eat there again.

We LOVE Luigis! This is our go-to date night lounge. We highly recommend the prime rib. Best in the city and if you love your horseradish, this is the place to go. The service is exceptional and we feel like family every time we go in. Thank you

Let me break down the 3 star review, the food was very good 5/5 but the service was bad. Two of us sat down at the table for the meal. The server came by to ask for drinks when we were not ready yet so she said she would bring us water. She brought one so I had to ask for a second...not a big deal. She then came back for our drink order, she took one of our orders but not mine. When I finally got to order a drink I had to wait for 20 min to get it. This was all before we got to order our meal. It was a good 45 min from initial sit down to ordering food. Again go for the food but do not expect good service

Service was good and our server was very helpful with figuring out dishes to avoid because of allergies. But for the price, the food was just ok. We both ordered hamburgers and got a starter. The starter arrived in good time but then we waited another 30-35 minutes for our hamburgers. They we're just ok. I might go back if I knew the service was going to be a little quicker and if the hamburgers were going to be better than I could make at home.

Our waiter was ok, kept our drinks full but didnt offer dessert, ok. I ordered the blackened salmon and there were literal drifts of salt crystals under it. Sent that back and ordered fettuccine alfredo... waiter asked if i wanted cheese, i said no but got baked alfredo with cheese.... I was too hungry to send it back but it in addition to the cheese I expressly said no too the pasta was dry. Very disappointed.

The family celebrated our father's 100 Birthday dinner in the fall at Luigi's and as it was "COVID times" every detail was attended to with our safety and care meeting all the provincial guidelines. Forty close friends and relatives were served a superb meal where every guest received their roast beef dinner done to their desired taste. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere absolutely perfect for the times. A special Thank-you goes out to Liuigi's for serving such an outstanding meal for this very momentous event, making everyone feel safe and welcome. 5 Stars to you and your staff.

I was disappointed with the lasagna that I had today. Waitress was pleasant food was unpalatable. I can't remember when I had such an unappetizing meal. The sauce was watery and the meatballs were rubbery. I don't think I will be eating there again soon. I don't recommend it.

The food is good, although the portions are small, so I usually order an appetizer with my main course. I always order take out on my way from work and pick it up before going to the hotel. The service is bad, the girl at the front counter is always gone somewhere, and servers do not pay much attention to you. Now I have to find another place to eat dinner.

My family went here for my birthday dinner, and although the food was enjoyable the service was not. The waitress was very un-inviting, did not suggest/allow us the opportunity to order appetizers while some of our family members decided on their main dish. This extended our visit to 3.5 hours and many glasses sat empty as we were visited only once for an offer on drink refills. My cake was brought out, with candles, which was considerate, although, she left before any of the 6 adults could ask for a cup of coffee. One of the family members kindly waived the waitress back for the request at which she came and so did the bill. We were never greeted again by the waitress. not for coffee refill or to clean cake plates. and, the icing on the cake, even after my boyfriend paid this $400 bill with a significant tip, she didn't even say 'Happy Birthday'..... From one waitress to another, friendliness will take you much farther than tasty food.

The calamari was super rubbery and overpowered by the breadcrumbs. The seafood linguini wasn't very good either. There was a strange crunch like when there's a hidden bone that you bite on. The spinach artichoke dip was fantastic but the rest of the meal was less than satisfactory.

We did not have a very good experience to begin with BUT it was resolved by one of the staff members that went beyond customer service. We placed an order over the phone and I believe the order was not filled so when we arrived to pick our pizza up it was not ready . We then waited 30 minutes for replacement pizzas to be made and then were told the one we ordered of the two pizzas could not be made because of a lack of ingredients they had on hand. We did not want to wait any longer and we were getting pretty upset by this time. But the women that helped us ( wish we would of got her name ) told us she would put a rush on the order and deliver them to us herself at no charge. She did exactly as she had promised so we ended up very pleased with her handling of the situation . We will go back to Luigi's as their food is awesome and usually service is great.

Me and my boyfriend went here last night and I have to say we were extremely disappointed. We both got the Oscar Sirloin, I got 8oz with baked potato and he got 10oz with fries. When our food came out my steak looked much larger than his but the waitress told us they just cut it differently. Wasnt very consistent at all. Both of are steaks were very chewy and fatty, took quite a bit of chewing just to eat the steaks. My boyfriend's fries were extremely bland with no seasoning at all and had a weird taste to them so he didn't even eat the fries. Both steaks came with lobster on top and I was saddened to see they just put a tiny bit of shredded canned lobster on top of the steak. For over 30 dollars a plate we were very disappointed considering its a steakhouse. The starter ceaser salads and my baked potato were good but everything else was terrible. We usually go to moxies for steak and there's is always great. Won't be back to luigis south anytime soon. The service was great but they really need to work on there kitchen.

I had not been to a Luigi's in almost 20 years. I met my parents here for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised at the menu. I ended up having the beef dip and it wad excellent.. Many restaurants serve beef dips. But Luigi's used a bun that soaked up the au jus. It was delicious, and I cant wait to go back and try something else..

Ordered the calamari and a margherita pizza from skip and was pretty disappointed. Not sure what the other food is like but the calamari is extremely chewy and dry, not appetizing at all, and the pizza was overloaded in sauce and the mozzarella was super grainy and it seemed like it was barely melted.

Luigi's food is always consistant and very good value. Today I had the lamb from the summer menu and it was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised that it was so generous! You can't go wrong with Luigi's. It is a foodie staple ;)

Cranky servers, overpriced, salty pasta and when ordered a beef dip it came with gravy and not au jus. Talking with the server about it they insisted that the gravy was in fact au jus and it was also spread on the inside of the bun which made it slimy and soggy. Customers are definitely wrong at this establishment.

They were sooo disrespectful and unprofessional to their employee. A waitress had made a mistake with the computer which messed up the rest of the computers. They rest of the staff were continually blaming her and yelling at her from half way across the restaurant. The entire restaurant could hear them getting angry with her. I will not support a business that treats their employees the way I saw them treat her. I felt bad for the poor employee! I don’t recommend working there or supporting them.

During these tough times we stopped for a bite to eat at Luigi's Steakhouse on Mayor Magrath. When we entered we were greeted by this wonderful person named Stephanie!! She was the most delightful server and made our experience most enjoyable. The food was great, the portion was worth every penny, this is the place to go for a nice relaxing meal!! Would highly recommend it.

We have been ordering from Luigi's South fairly often (5 times in the last 3 months) at $70 -$130 a pop. We have never made a complaint until recently. Last 2 times, our orders were missing items, had incorrect items, and not what we asked for. Called them both times (once to have them send the au jus and horseradish we asked for and once to complain about having gotten mashed potatoes instead of vegetables and that the prime rib was well done, not medium rare). I was informed that sometimes they can do nothing about how well done the meat is but that we would receive credit on our next order. We called today, and was told WE were being blacklisted as being "complainers". I'm sorry, WTF? If you don't want complaints, remember the au jus and horseradish for the prime rib BEFORE sending out the order for delivery! If you don't HAVE medium rare Prime rib, don't send well done no matter the excuse!! The appropriate response would be,"sorry, we don't have medium rare available, is that ok?" DO NOT tell your customers they will be getting one thing and sending another. At $70 or more per order, the customer should be getting what they want, not being blacklisted for "complaints" Will NEVER eat there again.????

I have to give Luigis three stars because even though I really enjoyed the salad and sides the main event (the steak) was not good. I ordered the sirloin steak with the neptune option. I ordered medium and the steak was definitely medium well and well done. One end was actually pretty much inedible. I should have asked for a new steak because I was pretty sure after only one or two bites that I wasn't happy. But I thought if the hollandaise was good and the shrimp and crab were tasty I'd be forgiving. However, I had to ask for more hollandaise because there was only about a tablespoon of sauce on my steak and I wanted more. When it came I was very disappointed to find it was cold. The baked potato was perfect, the rotated veg was great, the warm bread with oil and vinegar was bet nice and the salad and dressing were delicious. It'll be a while before I want to go back to Luigis. Lesson learned... Send the steak back if you're not happy.

Tonight I ordered the Luigi's Cobb Salad. The menu describes it as having avocado, chicken, crispy bacon, tomato, Bleu cheese, egg, and house ranch. What I received was a rotten salad. The salad dressing was so old, it had mold growing on it. The tomatoes were mushy. The chicken tasted and smelled like it had gone bad, as did the bacon and the cheese. I have eaten blue cheese for my entire life and I am familiar with fresh v. rotten blue cheese. This cheese was dried out, and greasy looking and did not have a pleasant smell. I called the restaurant and explained. The lovely girl who answered the phone was very nice and offered her apologies and offered a credit at the restaurant. I told her I would like a refund because I did not wish to eat at that restaurant after being given rotten food. She clearly didn't have that authority, so she put the manager on who was extremely rude and confrontational before I had even managed to get a word out, and told me he wouldn't be giving my money back and that he would give me a credit only. It appeared he was angry before he had even picked up the phone. I informed him that I wanted my money back because I did not wish to eat food from there again, and if he didn't refund the money I paid for the salad, I would be letting a large number of people know about this (hence this review.) Generally business owners will take the approach of "If you aren't happy, tell us. If you are, tell everyone" I tried to tell him, but he apparently thinks it's acceptable to feed customers rotten food. His response was "Now I'm not giving you your money back OR a credit because that's extortion. You're blackmailing me." He then hung up on me while I was still in the middle of a sentence. The attached photos show exactly what I received. The fuzzy mold in the second photo is very evident. Disgusting food, and a disgusting attitude from the manager.

My experience at this Luigi was great. Spending time with my sisters, we ate a meat lover pizza with extra cheese. I order a side of fries and it was a big bowl but all four of us shared it plus my older sister had the soup of the day. The mushroom soup I think but my brother-in-law didn't care much for it then my sister order a steak sandwich. she got a piece of 8oz steak, with a toasted long bun with creamy mash potatoes. It was a good plus my second oldest sister had a fruity cold drink to start with then finish it off with red wine.

The owner was extremely rude. When there is an issue at a restaurant, and we phone to figure it out, there is no reason to be rude. Explaining yourself is a better way to go then to yell at customers. Customers are not always right, and that's ok. But it's not ok to yell and treat us like a 2 year old because you disagree. The northside one is great. I can't believe this woman is an owner!!!

While the food was mostly good, the portions are small and prices are high. Ordered the NY Steak and it was cooked well is the only real highlight. Funny/not funny that the vegetables it came with were 1 small piece of cauliflower and 1 small piece of squash. Others at the table ordered pasta, opinion from most said it was bland. Went there Friday night and ordered a 8 oz prime rib medium rare. When the prime rib arrived it was very rare. Just red. So I thought I will try it and see what it tasted like. Tried cutting the prime rib but couldn't cut through it with the steak knife provided . I called one of the waitresses and asked her that this prime rib was too rare and take it back to make it medium rare. When it arrived back it was medium rare. Tried cutting it but it was still too tough to enjoy. This is first time this has ever happened as I many prime rib at this restaurant before and enjoyed them all. Maybe they have a new Chef their but I was not impressed at all with this piece of prime rib.

Didn't know what to expect for an anniversary night. I ordered a 12 oz steak with mashed potatoes and three pieces of veggies and a side of onion rings. Girlfriend ordered some chicken with Shrimp, can't remember the rest. Steak was medium rare (as requested) and tasted fantastic. Girlfriend's chicken and shrimp was equally delicious. Price ended up being ~100$ for two meals (one with an extra side), an appetizer (6 jumbo prawns), and a dessert (cheesecake). Service was excellent and the waitress was courteous. Will go again.

I’m definitely a fan of Luigi’s Steakhouse in Lethbridge. They’ve been in business for years, are family owned and have a lot of great options. The restaurant is a good size with a lounge, dining room and private dining section. The menu also has a lot of options: appetizers, soups, salads, pastas, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, mains and dessert. They’re also with the times and have a gluten-free menu. Overall the feel to the menu is similar to Boston Pizza but offers better quality dishes overall with a specialization in steak and pizza. They renovated a few years back and still feel like a modern establishment overall. On my most recent visit I shared a couple different pizzas with my brother. If you like cheese you’ll love their pizzas, they’re very cheesy and delectable! One of my favorite pizza places for sure. There were also a couple salad orders at our table and a pasta dish. Everyone was quite content. Their draft beer selection is definitely a bit lacking, but Lethbridge has never been known as a big craft beer market like the bigger cities in all fairness. The bottled beer selection was average as well, but offered a bit more than the draft selection. However, their wine list is pretty decent as you’d expect from a place that identifies as a “fine dining restaurant”. Service is always pretty good here anytime I’ve visited, this time the server assigned to our table was exceptionally good. She was very efficient, knew when to check-up, knew when to do refills and knew when to take additional drink orders; very on the ball overall! They used to be a bit better with having managers come around to see how tables are doing (this is always a nice touch for fine dining imo), but I haven’t had this happen here in my recent visits. Really happy with this visit overall, food was great as was the service, prices are also quite fair but are definitely higher than pub prices, even where item offerings would be similar between the two. I tend to look past this given the atmosphere and quality though, I’d definitely be happy to come back and always consider Luigi’s for dinner outings on my visits to Lethbridge.

The service was decent, but unfortunately the food was a major disappointment. Don't offer seafood on the menu if you don't know how to cook it properly. My son got the seafood platter and it was inedible. He loves seafood so he got through the first lobster tail but noticed a really freezer burnt after taste, made him sick enough to not eat the second one. The seafood was overcooked and tough. I got the lobster spicy pasta.... tasted like they cooked the pasta in the same water as the freezer burnt lobster. My boyfriend got the margarita pizza and it was over drizzled with a balsamic glaze.... it's a very potent glaze and when over distributed takes away from the rest of the pizza. It's suppose to be a margarita pizza not a balsamic vinegar pizza. I tasted all dishes and my sons seafood platter was by far the worst. I let the server know and they gave me a 10% discount even though over half the plate was left. I've never seen my son so disappointed in a seafood dish as it is his favorite type of food. We won't be coming back.

I always order from Luigis North. Today I accidently ordered from the south. They aren't even close. Ordered steak bite appetizer the added tiny 2 pieces of celery and carrot were dry and old and the steak bites were so tough I didn't even eat them. The lasagna was mediocre at best even with the added meatballs and sausage that I paid extra for. I highly recommend Luigis North but will not return to the south side location. It had many years since I'd given them a try at the south location but I see nothing has changed. Fancy place,fancy prices, quick service but disappointing food

I used to frequent this place many years ago and a return visit confirmed that they still provide top quality food. The Prime Rib Beef dip has to be one of the best I have ever had, and I have had many. The bun has the perfect consistency and holds together after being dipped, the aujus is perfectly flavored and the prime rib beef is fall apart tender. They also serve a phenomenal French Onion Soup, a staple of the establishment. You can order it Traditional style with croutons and cheese or you can order it Luigi Style with a Puff Pastery top. I don't think you would go wrong with either but I have never broken with ordering the Traditional. Stop by and enjoy a great meal at a solid restaurant that is one of the few OGs left in Lethbridge.

Lots of veal options, which I believe is uncommon. I thought it was pretty standard fare; no surprises, but also nothing particularly special.

Horrible! Went there on Mother's Day for dinner and they were having a buffet. We did not ask what the cost of the buffet was - but we should have. When I called the restaurant the next day to confirm what they were charging for it, (as my mom paid for it before we got the bill) the woman who answered the phone and claimed to be the owner, was extremely rude, obnoxious, and condescending. Turns out we were charged $28.00 per adult and $14.00 per child (oldest child was 6). My call was just to let them know I thought they were overpriced (even though they were offering prime rib). Instead of having an adult conversation with me, the owner basically insinuated I was an idiot for thinking they would charge less and that obviously I've never been to a restaurant offering prime rib. This attitude from her, not more than 30 seconds into the call. She was unprofessional and I would never recommend this restaurant because they obviously don't value their customer's opinions. Once they have taken your money they don't care what you thought about the food or the service. Shame on you Luigi's. Customers do not always know best, but we do have opinions, and you as a business owner should have the smarts to listen to what they have to say and value it, even if you don't agree with it. You have no business speaking to customers. And honestly, the food was not that great - mediocre at best.

We placed an order today, February 17 2019. We received the wrong order. We called and relayed the mistake. The person on the phone apologized for the mistake and was super professional said it was their mistake and would send out the right order. We then received a call from management who called us a liar and we would have to pay for another order. My brother is celiac and would never have ordered a regular baked lasagna. Be careful when ordering from this unprofessional restaurant.

Big thank you to Kosta and the rest of the staff. After being on the road for over ten hours, we stopped at Luigi's for some take out, and we felt just as valued as any sit down customer. There was no wait time and we got there around 6/630ish pm, after hearing that there was a 20min wait time at BPs and no one even greeted us at Montana's (we were the second party to not be greeted by staff and we were there for 5 min waiting. Eeek!) Anyway, at Luigi's, the waiter was great. The food didn't come out to us very fast, but the waiter made it sound like it was a rare thing to be waiting as long as we did. He also brought our 2-year-old's food out to her before ours because he knew it was more difficult for her to be waiting. The womens bathroom didn't have a change table in it for my 8-month-old, but the restaurant did have a high chair.

Food is good most times here, but not always consistent. Same with service. It can be hit or miss. We went here with a group of 11 around 5pm on a Wednesday. Service was excellent and very attentive, but the food was lacking. Everyone in the group commented that it wasn't the quality they were used to. However the visit prior to that one. Was just a table for two during the dinner hour. Service was lacking. It took a long time to have our order placed. Then a long time for our food to arrive. We saw our server only a couple times including the taking of our order and delivering the bill. However the food was excellent! So if they can get it together on both ends. It would be great.

For the attention of the Owner, and new customers reviewing this casual dining restaurant. My husband and I are locals living in Lethbridge for 40 years. We went to Luigis when it first opened its doors. We have been regular customers ever since (though it is not a friendly place) it was convenient for later dining. We have always dined late, and mostly had ok food. The Reno work the owner did has spoiled the Greek/Italian feel of the restaurant though. It is now like any chain restaurant with a bland style. WE WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. O.M.G. "LET ME TELL YOU WHY" We went in as usual around 9.30pm. We had a visitor with us from out of town, just picked up from airport. Our visitor is an elderly lady, 81 yrs and has a very small appetite. She attempted to order a 1/2 order of fish and chips. 1 piece of fish. Half the amount of Fries. The evening manager that night named Kosta refused to allow this. "This type of restaurant does not allow half orders" he said. He could have easily accommodated our old lady friend....... My husband and I were understandably annoyed for our friend who was buying. When we expressed our annoyance he made no attempt to alter the situation. So we left. Our friend was very upset with his attitude and treatment. As I said WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. I could say more about his personality But I will not say it on line. That would be bad manners.
