Inviting decor with a warm welcome. Was busy but the noise level was low. You could have a conversation without shouting. The selection of pub grub is great and their specialty of fish and dusted chips is winner. If you have room try the bread and butter pudding but order the small as the serving is massive. Oh yes and the beer. A great selection. If you are wanting premium beers they will cost you but a small price to pay for the conviviality of this cozy pub.

Where to start. We came in, seated and ordered drinks. I ordered a 64 oz beer. She brought me a 12. This will be of interest later. She then brought the 64 oz. we waited 35 minutes for 1/2 the food to come to our table then another 10 for our meals. The waitress offered a free desert. Ok. Lacking but what ever. She comes back with our bill she rang in two beers and said she discounted one of them, and gave us 15 percent off our meals. I just wanted to pay the bill and get out. As i look at the bill after she gave us 5.40 cents off. Very disappointed. Wrecked a special evening with the kids. Stay away. Not the place to go.

We came with a group of 14 for birthday and had one of the most enjoyable evenings out. This was my first time at the Kingsmen. The food was amazing, but it wasn't the food that impressed me the most, but the waitress. Tracey will by far be the most memorable waitress ever. She is fantastic at her job and very very witty. She had us laughing every time she came to our table. Thanks Tracey for who you are! We will certainly be back. Actually I plan to go with two friends who have never been before, this up coming Monday. Looking forward to going and I hope Tracey is working!

I was in England last year and had fish and chips over there so nothing can beat seaside fish and chips but there coleslaw and wings are the best in Lethbridge that I've ever had!!!????. They also serve Magners Irish ciders which are the best in my books!

The place is cute as hell inside and out. If you appreciate a clean, well designed bathroom, they’ve got one! Must visit in Lethbridge.

All was good , up until I made my order . Went down hill from there. Got my drink order wrong twice , The male serving me was very unattentive looked at everybody else table but it took me to flag him down(Not a big Venue) still misses me ..well the new girl (thank you ,you are awesome for that) paid more attention to me than her trainer.. I feel sorry for her. Learning from somebody who is unattentive and and does not help you feel welcomed at all.. says he's "swamped" not busy at all .. . first and last time I will think of coming again . Sure. You aint busy . It's not hard to take 2 seconds and look at my table before I have to start flagging for service. Than after my transaction , abruptly walks away . Never felt so welcomed ????

This is easily my favorite pub in the city! It is one of the few places I have had good food, drinks and service every single time I've gone. Whenever someone visits me, I make sure to take them to the Kingsmen Ale House because it is sure to impress. My only disappointment is that they seem to no longer deliver through Skip the Dishes. Those few meals I was able to have delivered were spectacular!

First visit, for what it's worth. There's a lot to like, but there's a lot that could be better. Good selection of beers, but everything, including domestic beers, was a bit overpriced. Food is decent and reasonably priced, but the service wasn't great. Even though it wasn't busy and our table was on the way to the kitchen, we still had to go out of our way to our waitresses attention. I'd probably go back, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

We stopped at Kingsmen Ale House for supper during a road trip. We were a bit worried because of how empty it was, but the worry was for nought. We had a burger and meat pie, and wow were they delicious! The meat pie was piping hot with a lovely flaky puff pastry top. I thought the veggies were a bit undercooked as i thought they were a bit firmer than I expected. We both enjoyed the parmesan chips (which we here in the colonies would call "french fries"). As a bonus, the leftover chips made a great snack in the car the next day after keeping them in the hotel fridge overnight. The burger was good, although the bun tasted like it was burned a bit. The dips we got were real show stealers, the cheddar ale dip was especially delicious. We would recommend stopping at Kingsmen Ale House.

Very good service and food. I tried the Beef and mushroom pot pie, topped with a generous layer of puff pastry. the meat was braised very tender, the mushrooms were cut nicely and had a nice texture. parsnips in there were a great touch. the gravy was delicious. I'd recommend this to anyone! Chicken wings were served nice and crisp and cooked well done. Good selection of Beers on tap, and like I said, the service was great. Very professional and knowlegeble. I'll be back again when I'm in the south side.

This was a COVID 19 style curbside pick up order. We got the BBC burger with dusted chips and the Royal roast beef with a side Caesar. Firstly, it must be said that the Kingsman’s cheddar ale sauce is quite possibly the greatest substance in the world. If you haven’t tried it with those wonderful dusted chips then you are missing out! Local sourcing means the freshest buns and beef. My wife absolutely loved the BBC burger and my shaved beef sandwich essentially melted in my mouth. This menu has something for anyone looking for an authentic British pub style meal. The flavors are deep, varied and absolutely to die for. The curbside pick up was easy and safe. They brought out the debit machine and sanitized it immediately. The staff is friendly and the kitchen is talented. KUDOS the the Kingsman for supporting local suppliers and also for supporting First responders and Military personnel. Support them in turn!!!! You will not be disappointed!!

Food is great, been here a few times to eat and never disappointed the food itself. Wish the kitchen would do stay open until 11 for main menu otherwise it's just appys after 10 until 11. Atmosphere is good, usually quiet when we make it in, servers are nice and friendly but seeing them a little more often to get a new drink would be nice. All in all I would recommend easily.

The atmosphere is cool - feels like a cross between Ye Olde English pub (nice woodwork, leather booths) and a new-style Canadian Sports pub (high-tables and chairs and TVs strewn about). If you're a beer person, I've heard good things about their beer selection, too.

They've done it. They've gone and managed to make a nice pub in the middle of a strip mall. There's a good variety of draught beer here (quite a few from around Alberta) and a good menu of pub food. Fish and chips were reminiscent of good British chip shops (e.g., not greasy and you and taste you know, the fish.) The sandwiches/burgers I've had can be a bit overwhelming with stuff, but if they scaled it back a little bit they'd be quite good.

I have a feeling this place is under different management now. Maybe they have a new cook. I can't be certain but its different somehow. The food was good for a time but upon my latest visit, it just seemed off. Our Brussels sprouts tasted burnt, there was, what seemed to me like burnt cooking oil in the air. Their seasonal menu options seem to be lacklustre and mediocre in its production as I found something else I ordered to be a bit bland. Just little signs that the quality this place had slowly started to fade. Much in the same way that the Telegraph had under its own new management as well as the horrible cook they have there now. Slowly it seems like once great places are dying out. Our drinks were ok but overall for its quality. I find it to be a bit too pricey for what your getting.

Our initial experience wasn't great - it took a long time for them to bring my husband's drink order and they didn't even ask me what I'd like to drink. When his beer came their were lipstick ???? marks on the glass. Eeeww. But the server was apologetic and replaced immediately. My Roast Beef Sandwich Royal was very good. My husband enjoyed the fries and coleslaw but the fish was drippping grease - he didn't finish it.

The decor is appealing except for the chairs. They look good but are far too low for the table. I am average height and felt like a little kid at the adult table! I had the grilled cheese sandy which was very good and gooey. I used my knife and fork to eat it which was awkward due to the table being so high. I had the undusted fries and they are excellent. My husband had the clam chowder which was very good. Service was fast and friendly.

Besides the food, it is rich and savory, our waiter, Daniel Yanke was a pleasant and professional host. He served my non-alcoholic beer in a tall chilled glass with the name of the beer on it. He remarked that they had high standards of service. This was also. evident in the quality of chairs and booths.

First time at Kingsmen Pub and did we get a great surprise. Food was excellent, but our server Tracey, who we had lost track of since her last server position was serving us. She is a happy great server. Helpful with food choices and beer. Husband had Clams and Mussels and it was delicious, gave me one little taste. I had Fish and Chips and ate every bit. Other couple who have been there before had Bangers and Mash and Beef Sandwich and was great. Beer Hell,s Basement Ryes Against the Machine was my husband's favorite and Tracey helped our friend make a choice with his ????. I changed my previous ranking from a 4 to a 5 after my most recent visit for Easter dinner. The food was plentiful (and delicious), my server was a gem, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. It bites during COVID season that the restaurant only had a handful of patrons separated by plastic sheets, but it was noticeable that the staff was still doing what they could and putting on a smile (behind their masks). Thank you Kingsmen crew for another great experience. I'll certainly return for a pickup or two during lockdown to continue supporting this lovely little local business.

Excellent. They have English beer which is one of the reasons we come. While we had a minor mix up with our drinks order, everything was sorted out. I would recommend this pub. One note to keep in mind, this is a pub with VLT gambling machines. Therefore no one under 18 is allowed.

Food is... Ok. Gluten free options are nice for my wife, though we both found our burgers lackluster. The sauces were meh and the beef tasted bland. Generous patty, which is nice, but lacking in flavor. The saving graces here are the atmosphere and beer selection. A man with an amazing beard stands behind the bar with his arms crossed, poised and ready to kill. I'm being hyperbolic, but it's still a big part of the great aesthetic here. Note: the fries are good. Crisp and flavorful. Not a huge fan of breaded fries, but these weren't bad.

From what I have tried the food is quite good and the atmosphere is nice but the price of the food is quite High with most plates consisting around $20 give or take. All in all good place to take someone out for a good conversation or just grabbing a drink in which you're able to talk to someone without having to talk over people or yell to them. Both times I've gone there the service has been really friendly and very knowledgeable on their plates, their drinks and usually have an interesting story to go with something.

This is a busy pub/restaurant and even on a weeknight it had a lot of people in it. They serve traditional pub style food and it was quite tasty. They serve 'dusted fries' which my friend didn't like but they also serve plain ones too which would have been better for him to order. I had the steak and mushroom pie which was tasty and a good portion size served with a salad. Not a bad place to stop in for casual conversation with friends and something to eat.

I'm not one to easily give full marks to pubs. Too many pubs get overly greasy and sloppy with food because they know their customers will be drinking. The food here is genuinely outstanding. The Buckingham salad was delicate and fresh. The bacon jam and soft bun on the kingsman burger was amazing, and the fries were better than any I've tasted in Calgary or anywhere else. I came by Lethbridge to purchase a vehicle, and this was just a place we went to wait till the car's financing was approved. I was totally blindsided by how good this place was. I will be recommending this place to anyone coming this way.
