Very good service. The waiters and watiteress were very kind and nice to us and the family. We had the place to ourselves for a private event. The only I thing I did not like was the lighting of the restaurant. I found it a little bit dark. And the room for us guest was very tight. Not that much room to move around. And also in the bathroom for ladies there is no changing table for the baby. I had to lay my nephew on the sink. But other then that the food was great. The wine was great. Very nice cuisine Italian food. And the restaurant was very beautiful. I loved the theme that it's a boat.

Le Pirate is the back bone of the city, an institution that’s been striving since must of us were still in diapers. It’s regal service and more than delightful food makes for a divine combination. Laval is lucky to have Le Pirate!

I wouldn't think twice about recommending this restaurant to any one who is interested in giving it a try. The food is absolutely amazing. The surf n turf was incredibly flavorful, and it was a very generous portion. The food isn't the only good part about this restaurant, the service that you receive is amazing as well. Can't wait to pass by again.

GNo matter how good the service was, I found it overpriced and quite plain. Portions were small, taste was very ordinary, nothing special, but prices were unreasonably high for what was served. Nice decor and well dressed waiters

I recommend this restaurant to everyone cus even the price is very reasonable for the excellency it delivers over all! I will definitely do other events there from now on! A very clear and obvious example of the phrase :"don't judge a book by its cover" Le Pirate may not look like much from its simple ornamental porthole door but upon entering you quickly discover the true charm - A lovely, antique pirate ship theme crewed by the warmest, most welcoming and pleasant staff you'll find. In addition to the main dining room; there are also seperate rooms for private parties (pre-covid). Every ingredient is always fresh to create wonderful traditional meals with modern twists. From seafood, to pastas to meat dishes it's impossible to go wrong here.

The decor is very nice. You get an old wooden ship feel when you are inside. Everything is like you are in an old boat. The service was amazing. The woman serving us was an older woman who was very professional and knowledgeable for all our questions about the menu. She would come back to check on us and to refill our wine glass. The problem is with the food. First off, its not worth it for the price. I had a veal plate with scampi's. The presentations was very good. The problem was the taste and lack of substance. The plate was 27$ and all it included was 2 pieces of veal, 2 scampi's, some rice and a roasted half bell pepper and another half vegetable. It feels as though something was missing in the plate, like a potato or something. I completely hated the veal. It tasted like dirty burnt grill. There weren't many grill marks on the meat but for some reason it just all tasted like that. The scampi was delicious though. If the food tasted better then maybe it would be worth the price. Would I go back again? Probably not, there are better Italian restaurants that I can choose from then go back to this place. They have party rooms, and when we were there on a Friday night the party rooms were full, whereas the dinning room was almost empty. Kind of tells you that this place makes its money off the "set menu" party room aspect.

This resto is a unique concept and ambience. You should go at least once to experience it. The people working are super nice and helpful. Their seafood dishes are amazing. Sauces lack a bit of flavour but overall great experience!

Le Pirate de Laval is an upscale Italian & Seafood restaurant that everybody must try. This place is not your usual fine Italian restaurant; has been there for the past 27 years. The interior is nicely decorated in a ship like setting, you get the feeling of being in a pirate ship.

Restaurant Le Pirate, "Amazing". I've been invited to this restaurant many times for group parties, engagements, birthdays etc. Extremely comfortable, food is great. However this is the first time I have went to Le Pirate with a sit down reservation. The food was absolutely amazing. I am surly going to be back. the photos speak for themselves. Good quantities, full of taste with connecting class from our waitress (Diane). Extremely polite and professional. Price is very reasonable.

The service was ridiculously bad and this time the food was not that great. Our waiter looked like a space cadet. I have not seen anyone that inefficient in a long time. when you treat customers this way you are telling them not to come back.
