Love it!! This place is perfect for people with celiac disease they have the red plates for GF meals and regular meals are served on white plates. They even change the glass to make sire there is no cross contamination. You can bring your own alcohol as well! Best place to eat for people with allergies everyone is able to eat together ????????‍♀️ if you haven't tried please try the GF poutine!! It's amazing ????

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE These are the only three words that I can say on this site. This was supposed to be a nice dinner for my sister's birthday and it was a disaster. The waitress opened our bottle of wine but never brought us wine glasses we had to ask. I have allergies and found the selections in the allergy section of the menu very disappointing. It took 30 minutes for me to receive my order of gluten free bread. Upon receiving my plate of pasta I had to ask if cheese was an option. Flies/fruit flies were all over us throughout the evening not very pleasant at dinnertime. I could continue but I think that you get the picture.....................WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THAT IS SURE!!!

This was my first visit to this establishment. The hostess and waitress were both very friendly and receptive. The waitress took the time to explain the specials and asked if we had any allergies. The mussels were delicious and the various accompanying sauces were exceptional. The Sicilian Pizza was very tasty. The crust was baked perfectly and the various ingredients of the pizza blended very well. This establishment has a bring your own wine/beer policy. Great atmosphere and fantastic first experience. Would definitely go back.

Great experience! Decided to eat out on a Thursday night and we had no problem finding a table. The food was amazing, even my picky eater enjoyed her Margherita pizza. The Crème brûlée is to die for, one of the best I have tried. Service was awesome and efficient, didn't have to wait for anything we asked for. For the amount of dishes we ordered, it was surprisingly affordable.

Tried the restaurant again, 6 months after a really upsetting experience - not much has changed: Food is OK and there's attention to details: food allergies are taken very seriously. As long as there aren't too many patrons, even the service is pleasant. It does get horrendously, painfully slow as soon as the restaurant gets half full. Cheap excuses abound when the staff is repeatedly asked for the dish ordered over half an hour ago, which just seems to add insult to injury.

The make being gluten free feel like you're special as opposed to a pain. They have specially cleaned cutlery, dishes, everything going to avoid cross contamination. Freshly baked gf bread to go with your pasta.

If you think that Ottavio is an authentic Italian restaurant, then think again. Absolutely aweful excuse for a restaurant. The pizza is basically a cracker with ketchup and cheese. As for the mussels, the plate was full of sand. A real huge disappointment.

23$ unlimited mussels, Monday to Wednesday. Only bad side, if you want to change the mussels sauce it's 2$ extra on each order. So at the beginning choose wisely. Or go with few people and ask everyone in your group to have a different sauce. So the next order you only exchange your bowl. Like that you can tried different mussels recipes. Pasta was ok. I tried before the pizza and I thought it was pretty good. Sicilian pizza is amazing.

Don't order the ceaser salad unless you feel for an overdose of SALT ... pure salt that your blood pressure will shoot through the roof... Plus I ordered it with grilled chicken and it came yellow soaked in God knows what marinade... it looked exactly the same as the chicken breast on my friend's Oriental salad... really Nothing close to a ceaser salad and nowhere in the world from Canada to Italy etc... had I ever seen any Ceasar salad of the like. But the staff was nice and polite...

Very nice Restaurant. we went on a Saturday afternoon. we were 4 adults & 4 kids and we got a very good service. we got Denis as a server and I even asked his name to make sure next time we sit down at his section. Great Italian in food and fantastic attention to detail. Dedicated kitchen for those with food intolerances or allergies of any kind. Medical support readily available for emergencies but most importantly the food is spectacular and every item I've tried override numerous trips has been nothing but absolutely astounding. Would recommend for a family or spousal visit or any other occasion really. Staff are above and beyond too and both them and the chef's deserve utmost praise.

The service was good, but the manager Marie-Eve was not very accommodating. I order the Tortellini Gigi, which was supposed to have prosciutto and capicollo. I asked the manager prior to receiving my meal if there was a good portion of meat in the pasta, she assured me there was. My plate arrived with barley any meat in the sauce and not even a enough tortellini to cover a single layer in a curved plate. Very disappointing. When I spoke to her again to ask her if she deamed this meal acceptable, she said well it's proportioned, and they can't control the amount of meat but that in fact it was supposed to have that amount of limited tortellini. She brought a small portion of additional sauce but the meal was unsatisfactory, not to mention the fact that there were two pieces of cilantro in my dish which was not wanted nor welcomed. Not impressed!

Our family loved to dine at this Ottavio. They have deal for lunch time as well as other choices for meat, seafood, pasta and vegan-friendly. The service is always good and what we loved from them the most, is that they do not bother us while we eat. They return to refill our drink and tidying up our table but that's it. We feel very free and always been enjoying our food here. Keep up the good service and food.

This was the first restaurant my husband I went to once restaurants were able to reopen during Covid and I am super amazed with the service and food. They set up a disinfectant stand as you come in, there is distance between other tables, staff was either wearing a mask or visor and the food was quick and delicious. Highly recommend! MUSSELS ARE AMAZING!!!!

Ottavio! An enlightening experience! This is fine dining taken to a different level. Mine was a excellent culinary experience. Ottavio serves absolutely delicious meals with exceptional standards at very decent prices! Their menu offers varied and mouth-watering choices from oven-baked pizzas to salmon tartar and osso-bucco... The list goes on. One element that really sets them apart from every other restaurant is their menu that offers gluten-free as well as allergy free meals, vegan and vegetarian meals all prepared in a separate kitchen! Even the hand soap in the bathroom is gluten free!! Above and beyond, Ottavio! Truly exceptional! Bravo!!

Quite arguably the best Italian restaurant for the price they charge. Picture this, an amazingly well thought out interior decor, with amazing platter presentation, great service, comfortable seating and cheap pricing in one restaurant! Rare right? Well this ones got it all! In fact, its so good that we went 6 times in 2 years (for my fiancee and I that usually means its a GREAT place!) Great restaurant!!!

Made an advance reservation for over 40 people for a birthday celebration, and it was honestly soo great from the start. Communication with the manager was very smooth (and prompt--would answer in a timely-manner), the food service (and food) was great, the staff was friendly (great customer service), and not to mention that their gluten-free chocolate cake was delicious (get their cakes, you won't regret it - it can be a bit pricey, but getting many people to pitch in helps). Highly recommend this place whether you have food restrictions or not!! ????

Awful food. It took an hour and a half to get our food. The manager came up to us and said : I know you have been waiting a while but we have a party in the other room and they need to eat too”. Which was ridiculous because it just means its badly managed. He didn’t offer anything for our waste of time. The seafood pasta and tortellini gigi were watery and tasteless. Avoid this restaurant!

Very popular place that was packed even on a Wednesday. Extensive menu selection sure to allow anyone to find something they like. Easy parking too. Somewhat very noisy so don't expect a quiet conversation with your dining partners. Service was super friendly but very slow that night. My guests did say that it is usually faster. Food quality was somewhat in line with reasonable prices and my plate of noodles with shrimps was a bit on the disappointing side.

Charging people because they have food allergies is unheard of. Their excuse is it slows down the kitchen and that they really are carefull compared to other restaurants! Being carefull should be part of the service and not come at an extra charge. I find this insulting and discriminating.

We've come here for family bday parties because it offers gluten free options, has lots of space, byob and decent prices. We enjoyed the calamari, escargot, greek salad and main dishes we like were the angel air smoked almonds, duck with brie, and the pork belly tagliatelle pasta.

We owned a restaurant in Toronto and know what it takes to keep customers coming back. Ottavio has mastered satisfying customers and we are already hooked after one visit! If you rate this place anything less than 4 stars, there’s something wrong with you. Seriously, go get yourself checked out. We know it’s nearly impossible to be perfect but you will be hard pressed to find better quality food, at reasonable prices with that level of service. Ontario needs an Ottavio. Well done!!!!
