Good Chinese food for Langley. Fast, tasty. Ok this is not a five star place, but good value for money. way better than the take out places. If you want better, you may have to hit Vancouver, or Burnaby. House special chow mein and house special fried rice are good. curry chicken good, sweet sour pork sometimes good, sometimes mushy.

Flourishing chinese restuarant. I got the dinner for two which seemed like it could feed four. The food was slightly above average. Except the eggs rolls are very good. The big problem for me was they are only place doing takeout (COVID) when everyone else on the street is doing dine in also.

Friendly staff. Our party of 5 was seated promptly and offered drinks. The menu had lots of options but it was a bit on the pricey side. The food took a long time to cook and it was a hit or miss. Some dishes were ok (sweet and sour pork, egg rolls, shrimp fried rice, garlic pork) other dishes weren't so great and tasted very greasy and underwhelming (deep fried prawns were overcooked, egg foo yung was lukewarm, beef and broccoli was not good at all). The decor and interior is nice though but the hallways are pretty crowded with boxes and random junk.

We went to the Flourishing Chinese Seafood restaurant today after reading some of the reviews. We thought because it had a 4/5 rating it would be a good place to try their dim sum. We tried the dim sum and I would rate it only a 1/5 on flavour, quality and appearance of the food. It is not authentic dim sum. The oil that they fried one of the fried dishes in tasted rancid. If you are looking for authentic dim sum... go somewhere else. When I find a great dim sum restaurant in Langley I’ll give them a review.

I really wanted to like this place… and was so utterly disappointed. Really really amazing service- what seemed like a busy Sunday Dim Sum time, the servers held really well, very pleasant and just awesome. The food however was all frozen. I didn’t eat the egg buns, it was cooked all the way and the pork buns were also frozen. The green onion cake was double fried- old. The mixed veggie was not evenly seasoned. The only thing me and my partner enjoyed was the green tea. I couldn’t come to myself to finish the buns… the owner was rolling spring rolls, so some things are housemade but a lot are frozen and purchased. :/ mediocre at best.

Ordered delivery to a business, first they sent no chop sticks or forks of any kind even tho they were requested. I also ordered a spicy dish and there was NO spice to it and I am not being dramtic I have drank spicier tap water, very disapointed especially concidering I had to eat with 2 pens. The rest of my order was decently good but everything was kind of bland. the delivery driver was on time and very freindly. I would not order from here again.

Came here for a dine-in dinner. The ambiance was nice and the servers friendly. Ordered sweet sour chicken balls, chow mein, beef Curry on rice and house special chop Suey. The portion sizes are good and it's pretty tasty, not overly authentic though. Beef was a bit tasteless but overall a good dining experience.

So, we have waited 2 plus hours for our order to be delivered. Still not here. On the last call they said "we could deliver yours next?" Next!?... So we said we are not paying full price to which they replied "just pay $40 instead of the $55". Being of infinite patience, I will hold the full wrath till we actually get the food (now 2 hours and 10 min). Edit: finally got our food. To be fair I would give it a 7.5 out of 10, Maybe because we were so hungry.

HAD BETTER LOCALLY Took the grandkids there as they had not had much Chinese food before. We were told this was best Chinese in Langley. We ordered the combos (A, B, and C) just to see what various dishes were like. Too greasy ... too much red sauce on the sweet n sour pork, egg? in fried rice (I asked but the waiter didn't understand). The staff were really nice and did a very good job but food was not impressive.

My wife and I have been ordering takeout from here for a few years now. Generally it has always been a good experience although the wait time on delivery can be high. It would be really great if they introduced some type of online ordering system on their website. Then again, I'd probably order from here alot more frequently if the ordering process is easier.

Used to love this place. Ordered all the time and loved it, the egg rolls were my favorite.. however the last time we ordered it came quick in less than 30 minutes which was great until we tried the sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork tasted two days old and it was large chunks of grizzle. We couldn't chew it. It was absolutely horrible and threw it all away. Figured it was sitting in the buffet all day and they were having a slow day so thats why it was so quick and the pork tasted so old. Sent them an email explaining my concern and never received a reply. Was very disappointed they couldn't even apologize and make it right. All of our orders were 50$+ each time. Haven't spent money there since.

I am not sure why this restaurant gets such a high rating. We ordered the minced shrimp roll. The recipe they used for the outside roll wrapper was so greasy we couldn't eat it $15.99. Just ate the inside minced shrimp. The Szechuan chicken consisted of lots of hard onions, a few peppers and very few pieces of chicken $15.99. The chow mein was edible but for the price of $12.99 this was a ridiculously small order. So I have two complaints - the food is poor and the price is high. I don't mind paying higher prices but the food has to warrant it. Won't go back.

Sometime last week I ordered dinner for me and my room mate, he ate chicken chow mein and was fine, I ate the chicken fried rice and got the second worst case of food poisoning I have experienced. I spent most of the night puking (etc). I called just to let them know to make sure no one else ate the contaminated food, the phone got handed off twice before I was told I would recieve a call from the manager in a couple hours. I was not called back. Aside friom that, the food did not taste or look of any sort of quality that I would normally indulge in. I think next time I am going to opt for Chinese, I will make it myself or head to Richmond where you can find some much more high quality and authentic Chinese food.

I didn't try the Dim Sum, so that might be good, but the Tofu dish my wife had and the pork Lo Mien dish I had were really really bad. It's that low-quality 50's North American "Chinese Food" that should have died out by now, but it's not even good for that. No wonder they only have forks on the table because no Chinese person in their right mind would eat there. Terrible.

Just spent $120 on various dishes here. The wonton soup had all manner of mystery in it and tasted super off. My family now feels sick to our stomachs. We just finished eating a plate of food about 15 minutes ago, and I can already feel a war waging in my guts. My fortune cookie should have said that I'd soon have an appointment with a porcelain throne. Save yourselves, people, and order anywhere else.

I Have been to many different Chinese restaurants. This one use to be one of the best. They have changed the way they make quality food. My food was awful! everything was greasy and the worst sweat and sour pork ever. We had to dump our food in the garbage after spending close to 90.00. I don't know why people change what works? Why make cheap tasting Chinese food in a Asian community? Do you not know people see when your cutting back on quality? This province has the biggest China Town next to China itself. Lets make good Chinese food. I will never be back. I have been a customer for over 20 years. It was by far the worst experience. Plus when you call to let them know its like well what can we do for you? As if we are looking for a free meal? I am a business person and would never make a customer feel uncomfortable. Remember word of mouth is everything.

Don't understand how this place has this great of reviews. Ordered take out and the food was mediocre at best! We ordered 5 dishes and none of them tasted fresh or was worth EVER going back for. The potstickers were undercooked and pink that we needed to actually RE-COOK IT AT HOME!! Also ordered a MUSHROOM chopsuey and it only came with 2 mushrooms! Talk about cheaping out on ingredients. For the price you pay for this mediocre food, it's worth the drive to ChongQing in Surrey or Burnaby Palace for really good Chinese Food. The only reason I gave them 2 starts instead of 1 is because this is the better of 2 other Chinese Restaurants we have tried in the area in the past few months. But... dont have high or any expectations if you're ordering from this place!

The food is good and likely tastes as you expect it to. Has all the typical food and is well made. On the weekend there are long waits outside when ordering pick up. Many food orders were ready but only 1 person was able to assist customers with paying. Food sat ready on tables while people waited 10-15 min just to pay. - No dine in service at time of this post.

This place used to be a 5 star location. Unfortunately, they seem to have changed up their menu items and it's not as good as it once was. The flavours don't seem to come together in a dish the way they used to, lack luster food to be blunt. You used to have to keep yourself from eating everything in one sitting. The food was disgusting. There was nothing good about this place. They took over an hour and a half for delivery. They misquoted me the total for my bill. The sweet and sour pork was all fat and grisly and the sauce was lumpy like jello. The chow mein has no taste and was bland and greasy. The white rice tasted old and the egg roll was oily and bland. Don’t waste your money!! I’m throwing it all out. Very disappointed in the taste and quality. Would never order from them again.

Really nice man took out order. Monday May long weekend. We were doing pickup take out. Price was good. Prawns we're good. Vegetables we're fresh. Good. But I'm sorry. Weird chicken. And Rice & Chow mein were very very bland. We won't be back. I can't even use leftovers. It's bad. But the vegetables are great. Sorry. Can't even recommend. Just don't expect much.

So happy they are finally open for inside dining after all these months. Food is as delicious as always and staff so nice. Definitely worth going to and well worth the 1/2 hour travel we take to get there.

We ordered food for delivery - they said it would take 45 minutes, and it took 45 minutes (which is better than being late at 11:00 at night). The food was really tasty, and each plate could be split into two meals. The egg rolls were DELICIOUS! The gentleman who delivered the food was courteous and sweet. It was very disappointing when we realized we had forgotten our leftovers in the hotel fridge. Guess we'll know where to eat when we stay again!

We attended for sat dinner.the table and chairs were dirty. 2 plates we ordered were not eatable.the chicken was well overcooked.the vegetables were terrible.the service was slow and they totally missed a whole plate.the waitress didn't seem to care She did apologise but didn't seem sincere.we are new in Langley and this place was recommended.We will not be going back.

This restaurant is Flourishing for a reason - it is great! They have a huge menu and excellent servers. The service is fast and friendly. The meal cost is entirely reasonable and the overall experience is very good. I have rarely in my life experienced a restaurant as busy as this one. The phones were ringing constantly and people coming in to order or to pick up take-out orders or to get a table. The staff was friendly and courteous to all I saw. I will be back!

Not sure how other reviewers found this place acceptable. Dim sum here is a degraded facsimile of authentic dim sum. The sui mai has a weird flavourless texture; the sticky rice in lotus leaves was 90% bland sticky rice with a small Chinese sausage tossed in; the lok bai cake was floury. I know it's Langley but at least have some standards.

Food wasn't great. Portions were small but the prices were within the average range. We ordered dimsum, pork siumai, steamed pork ribs and shrimp dumplings. Fried rice was too oily. The rest of the food didn't taste much like anything. I've definitely had better dimsum.

Remember back when Winnie owned it. Our normal Chinese place was closed for Monday, so we decided to give it a shot. The almond chicken I don’t even think is house breaded. Like a thin weird cutlet. Weird taste to the food and all just tastes old and blah.
