Great reviews but I found the sandwiches ordered underwhelming. The falafel wrap was OK but nothing special. I also saw the staff using the same implements for preparation of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The Pulled Pork sandwich had a strange flavour, it was OK again but not great. Prices were fine for the area.

Rude staff with inappropriate mannerisms... The female Aussie worker walked out with a smoke in her mouth, came back stinking like cigarettes and started cooking while not even washing her hands. Over priced, bland food. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Great local place to pop in for substantial food at good prices. We had a cajun caesar wrap that was filling,tasty, and super fresh. We also had an Alberta beef burger that was delightfully juicy. Fries were cooked fresh and crispy. Service was fast and friendly! Definitely will be coming back.

Great place for a fresh and healthy bite to eat at Lake Louise. It is small with very limited seating but the food was great and the price was reasonable (especially considering the high tourist location). The place has a good vibe and service was super friendly.

Stopped in for lunch after hiking Johnson Canyon trail and seeing the frozen falls. The Chai tea was "the best I've ever had in my life!" according to my love. She had the Salmon Slamwich and I had the Houston. Both were delicious. Great price, friendly service, very cool vibe. There is only seating for about 8 people at bars along the wall but don't let that keep you away. I would have happily eaten that sandwich in my car, or standing on the sidewalk (although there is a giant raven out there who is also a fan of their work I am sure so protect your grub!)

Don't really understand how this place got so many stars. Customers must really be starving after a long day hiking to find this to be 5 star. Food was overpriced and bland. You can go to the other sandwich shop to get comparable foods for bit less. Unless you are too cool to go anywhere but to a place titled with the word cafe in its name.

This place is absolutely great. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and both the food and coffee are spectacular. After I discovered this place, I went back every day during my short trip out to Lake Louise, and was never once disappointed. Do not miss out on The Houston sandwich. It is incredibly delicious. I tried multiple different espresso coffees, though, never any drip and was delighted each time too. A must stop! Only downside is that they don't open until 7am, which isn't early enough given how early one must arrive to visit Lake Louise and/or Moraine Lake these days.

Parking lot is an absolute ice rink. Fell holding three drinks while escorting two four year olds across the parking lot. After having spent $40 plus tip, they refused to remake two of the drinks despite having received them just a minute prior. Now my arm hurts and no drinks. Awesome guys. The preschoolers really appreciate it too. Have a little heart. They just want money, no interest in having basic human compassion. Just a follow up to the response from the restaurant — I definitely did not yell at anyone. I let the lady who had helped me know that hey I dropped the drinks and she said okay I can make new ones if you pay for them. It was purely said in a nice way. She said let me see what I can do and then kept taking orders. After five mins, I asked the guys cooking hey is there gonna be a way to get new drinks? It was then the manager said “you’d have to pay for them.” I couldn’t believe it — and yes when he said “you can blame the guy who does the snow” then yes I expressed my displeasure. No one needs a jerk talking back to them and all I said was “even though I spent $40.” Unbelievable. At minimum I’d appreciate my tip back.

We came here for breakfast after a weekend stay in lake louise. I ordered a coffee and The Cure, which was made with eggs, sauteed vegetables, and three types of meats on a whole wheat bagel with a choice of sauce. The food was so delicious and the portion was huge for the price. It was definitely the best breakfast I have had all week. I recommend anyone stop in there if visiting or passing through lake louise. Their menu also has lunch style wraps and sandwiches.

Gross BLT. The sandwich is made with super thick whole wheat (even though it states sour dough on the menu), a tiny bit of mayo and tons of lettuce. the whole sandwich was burnt bread and lettuce. So gross. Also staff should wear hair nets. Over priced as well.

If you want exceptional food, stellar service, and great prices, then you need to check this place out. Don't be fooled by it's humble appearance, these people know what they are doing. I want to give a specific shout out to Amy, who greeted us with a smile, let us take our time, and serviced us with haste. With all the troubles of COVID happening, it was refreshing to find a little haven. Thank you for the motivating service Amy! 10/10

My wife and I came here for our last breakfast before leaving the lake area and we wish it was our first, because we would have come here every day. We had a freshly cooked omelette, salmon on toasted bagel with capers and cream cheese, and two delicious cups of specialty coffees that we would gladly go back for (see images). The location is reasonably priced, just be cautious of long lines, try to get here right after opening time to beat the lines here (and of course to be able to see the wildlife in the area before other humans scare them away!).

Take out only at the moment due to covid. I ordered pancakes with blueberries and bananas. But when I opened the box once I got back to my hotel, there was no fruit, and my pancakes were burnt. Given the price of $12.50, which isn't cheap for breakfast to go, I'm very disappointed.

I won't complain about the prices, as everything at this tourist trap village is marked up (I'd do the same if I owned a business here; it makes sense). The food was awesome. Unfortunately, given the typically long lines, the people taking orders are too chatty, which extends the wait for everyone at the back of the line. We had breakfast here on three occasions, and my wife's orders was screwed up on one of them, which makes it 1/6 of the time. If you're a vegetarian, the falafel wrap is a dependable option and I highly recommend it.

Really great food. Felt more like a grab and go place. It was really crowded during lunch. Got an Elk Stew, and The Huston (sandwich). The Elk Stew is good to try if you never had Elk before. Done well and the Stew is nice and thick. The Huston is a must try. The pulled pork is tender and the macaroni and cheese in the sandwich was great. Really fantastic. Had a brew coffee and a maple canadiano. Maple Canadiano was sweet and a good try.

I very specifically asked to not have goat cheese on my avocado on toast as I am highly allergic and can end up in hospital. When eating my order I found what looked like cheese mixed in and went in to check and was confirmed goat cheese was added to my meal. I again made it very clear I am very allergic to diary and gluten and there was no hesitancy to rectify this. Just a 'we'll make it again' no apology. I can end up to being bed ridden to 1-2 weeks. I simply said no I dont want it remade I dont feel and they couldn't even take it back that was my invitation to see if I would get an apology. If you have a y food intolerances highly avoid this place, imagine if there was a peanut allegery someone could of died. This place must game food allergies seriously. $20 dollars down and no food. Just terrible service and walked away without having my service rectified. They are 20 dollars richer and I'm going to be Ill. Not the kind of service I like.

We had breakfast two out of the three days from here. That Trailhead breakfast bagel with bacon was amazing. The coffee was really good too! We grabbed some lemon poppyseed loaf and a savoury scone for the road home. They were both just as fantastic as the bagels.

Avocado Slime! Stay far far away from this place. “Avocado” toast is some kind of packaged green-brown slop with canned tomatoes on top. Totally inedible.

In general in terms of food, this area seems to be a desolate place. We went to a few places we didn't like, such Laggons right nearby. We noticed that Trailhead had an exceptionally long line up. The next day in a tried it and were very impressed. The staff seems friendly and enthusiastic to help. We went there in the morning and wanted lunch menu items and they were able to make them for us. Their fryer wasn't on so they offered us a side of salad or to charge us a little less for an item that was supposed to come with fries. I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese sandwich. It's called the Houston. It was finger licking good and a complete contrast to the quality of food you can expect anywhere else in this area. If you're able to eat pork, try the Houston. If not, they have other menu items that also look really good. We also tried the bliss burger and were happy with that as well.

We came for breakfast over 3 days ago and he remembered us and asked how our previous experience was. Such an easy going and personable person to have taking orders. Oh and also, the foods amazing.

We wanted a hearty meal after skiing and though the sandwich and elk stew was ok, I asked the young blonde girl preparing the sandwich if she put tomatoes on it? She looked up and said of course even though I watched her not, basically she lied directly to us and came across a bit entitled. I suppose some of these tourist provider's feel they have a monopoly ????

Husband: The Ruben will fill your belly with delicious flavors and the chocolate chip banana bread is some of the best. Wife: The Greek wrap is healthy, tasty and a great lunch on the go as you walk or shuttle to Lake Louise. Do yourself a favor and stop in. This was the only place on our trip that we returned for a second meal. Easily accessible from Route 1. Highly recommend.

My husband and I were in Lake Louise this past September. We stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise for a couple days and discovered Trailhead Café on our way back from a hike. We were starving and tired and I really wanted a warm soup and sandwich. We drove by the town and say it. It was the one of the best lunches we had during our trip. We had the elk stew, dill pickle soup and the chicken BLT on a wrap. All 3 were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this great café to anyone going to Lake Louise. The staff is friendly and kind, the food is delicious and the price is just right. Thank you Trailhead staff for an incredible experience we will never forget.

Just like moms kitchen but much funkier and a little more crowded..if you don't mind rubbing shoulders with more Polar Fleece and Gore-tex than any one human should experience in a lifetime it is well worth it. P.S. try the pickle soup!

We went during COVID, and it’s good to see a restaurant taking safety so seriously. The interior of the restaurant is closed, so you wait outside and give your order to the cafe staff waiting at the door. When your food is ready, the bring it out to a table where you can then pick it up and leave. The food itself was great (we went there for breakfast), and the fancy coffees were a great start to the day.

I ordered a 16oz mocha and they gave me what it looked like 12oz + heaps of foam till not even filling the cup. The coffee and the food are not cheap, and the person serving it was angry when I asked for what I paid (I had to ask twice since the first time the told me rudely that that was a 16oz, so I had to show her the ridiculous amount of foam they put on my coffee). I got my coffee “remade” in like a minute, so I suspect it was not really remade with the right proportions, but just filled up. She was so rude I was scared they would spit in it. I saw her being rude with other customers as well. It is unfortunate because there’s not many options to get coffee in Lake Louise. Bad service, the food was too salty, the pastries rock hard (we got a cinnamon bun that tasted old), the coffee is okay but they don’t even give you what you pay for which is pricey enough. Won’t come back. Would give 0 stars if I could.

A great small place in the Lake Louise area for a quick breakfast. They have quirky twists on the regular breakfasts with their choice of different sauces. I had the bagel breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the portion of egg omelette in it. It was completely filling to start your day with a nice cup of latte. Also it is fairly priced compared to some other nearby options.

Found this place via Yelp after hiking Moraine Lake and Louise Lake. We were searching for a close breakfast type place even though it was 12:00PM already because we were starving. So glad we went with this place, recipes were simple but delicious not to mention affordable! I ordered The Trailhead spinach wrap and the boyfriend ordered a The Cured (all meat: ham bacon and sauage) tomato wrap. You can choose a sauce in the wrap, I opted out since I'm more of a dry wrap person. They ended up making two The Cured wraps instead, which I was okay with anyways. Be careful of the fresh eggs inside, it's SUPER hot (I burned my tongue lol from it) fresh off the pan. The wraps were filled with tomatoes, eggs, onions, and meat. Eggs were fluffy and perfect texture that helped balance the natural saltiness of the meats. I loved my wrap. Although for some, wrap alone might not be enough as my boyfriend ended up still being hungry after (filling meal for me) albeit loving his wrap too.

After all the great reviews, I took our family of 4 there and... was not impressed. My Reuben was decent but my partner's was missing the sauerkraut. My son's BLT barely had contents and was missing the lettuce, and all 4 of our sandwiches were made on burnt bread (because of this, my kids gave up on their meals, altogether). The staff seemed great - but our order was not. Really unfortunate.

Es war mir etwas viel Ei auf dem Teil und ich hätte erwähnen sollen, dass man sich keine Mühe mit grünen Paprika machen muss. Punktabzug, weil man hier keinerlei Sitzgelegenheiten hat. Wenn es nass ist, dann sit ihr gut bedient eine Sitzunterlage zu haben, um ggf. an einer der 2-3 Bänke um den Parkplatz zu sitzen.

I had rushed to get here before closing. You should advertise that you're only open until 4:50 if that's when you serve until.

Got a couple large lattes, but ended up with 2 extra foam cappuccinos. Instead of 1/3 espresso 2/3 Milk and a little foam on top, I ended up with a cup that was half full of foam. Aside of the foam, the 'latte' was okay. Also got a cold cinnamon bun and had to ask to get it heated up. I would have thought the default would be heated. Or maybe ask the customer? Cinnamon bun was good, but needed an extra 20 seconds in the microwave. The center was still cold, but not that bad.

Currently with COVID, they will serve you at the door - no entry allowed. The lady who took my order was polite. I ordered two coffees and both were made way too hot. Specialty coffees shouldn't burn your mouth/lips; I had to wait at least 15 minutes for it to cool down to a temperature where I could taste the beans. Once it did cool down it was quite pleasent. I rated this 4/5 stars based on what's available in the area as this place is the better option for a coffee in Lake Louise. I would order here again if I was in need of a beverage for a car ride heading east.

We went there today, the coffe was OK, both This is our first breakfast in lake Louise. Both me and my mom are allergic to bell peppers and we avoided ordering any pepper items from the menu. We picked salmon bagel, peperonni cheese stick and the cure wrap (which it says on the board it is with veggies and black forest ham). When they leave the cooked "omelette-egg" on top of the wrap, we saw loaDS of peppers. We instantly contact with the staffs and inform them that we could not assume peppers, while our food is still getting ready on their kitchen cutting board. The staffs attitude turn to disgrace and stated that if we want an exhange, we will have to pay again. I am very disappointed, as for the paid wrap that we cannot eat. I hope their boss sees this and realized that this coffee store is mainly serving tourists. And we matter!

Stopped here on a drive out west. Great little place that got very busy once the lunch hour rolled around. Coffee was great, friendly staff, and the sandwich was worth the short wait. I'll definitely stop here again next time we're coming through town.
