This is the best meal we have when we visit the area, and some of the most exquisite food I've ever had. The drinks and wine are extensive and the service phenomenal. It's a pretty penny but you will not be disappointed! Make a reservation because they are usually booked up.

Simply a treat for all your senses. Since the hotel is run by a Swiss family, they also have a cheese fondue part, which is absolutely authentic! If you dine in the regular restaurant, the booking system is designed to limit the amount of servings that have to happen at any one time. This gives each guest a special feeling of attentiveness from the staff. Besides that the quality and preparation of the food is outstanding, no matter what your choice will be.

Absolutely loved this restaurant. It was nice and quiet at lunchtime away from the tourist rush. Food was great with decent servings as well. Its a nicer high-end restaurant so expect pricing to reflect that. Overall great service and food, I would recommend it.

I had heard great things, and was hoping for the best. Our dinner did not start out well. We had researched the dress code for the restaurant from their website: "DRESS CODE Dining atmosphere is casual elegance and while many guests wear jackets, it is discretionary. No athletic attire, T-shirts or shorts at dinner please." I was dressed in black slacks, a nice sweater, boots, and a matching black hat. It was a dressy hat. I was told that hats were NOT ALLOWED in the dining room and made to take it off. The shorter bald gentleman that told me that, then put it on the floor of the coat room. I understand a dress code, and respect that, but this was clearly not stated in their policy. The food was passable but overpriced, and the dining room decor was nothing to write home about. Our waiter was very attentive and nice.

Great food, and fast service, had the 6 course tasting and was more then happy on my end minus the textural displeasure from the gritty apple mint pallet clenser (tasted good). Would give 4-5 stars but you can get the same amount of food or more for 2/3rds of the price down in banffs fine dining spots with similar quality although thats expected for the lake area. Was also my girlfriends birthday dinner but the staff seemed to busy to do anything special for us other then a small chocolate note quickly written on the side of our dessert plate and a short happy birthday wish (they did get a rush). Far from a memorable or unique birthday experience as far as above and beyond goes but we were very happy with our meals.

Mostly, I leave reviews when I’m blown away. This was no exception, service, food quality atmosphere, and let’s not forget the incredible wine list were most incredible. My mom and I came to the restaurant for a nice quiet dinner. We got that plus much more. Knowledgeable service created and unforgettable experience with extremely nice wine and beverages. These types of restaurants are usually stuffy, not this one we had fun with the staff and brought us to see the most incredible wine cellar to finish our experience. Need less to say , if you like the good thing in life you need to come here. Cheers

Really enjoyed the bison. Very clean, and quiet. Food is definitely worth it. BUT, I found it to be WAY too formal for my personal liking. The restaurant wasnt busy but we still had to make reservations which was sort of weird. That said, the service over all was amazing.

The Post hotel is part of the Relaix & Chateaux group. We didn't stay here but dined there and everything was delicious, great local inspired food. The service was top notch, it was a nice touch to bring us on a wine cellar tour. They are well know for their mothers day brunch. I liked that they offered a free ride back to the Fairmount.

Good spot for lunch. We ate there at about 1pm on a Saturday and it was empty. The service is fast and friendly and they have a good selection of food. I give the eggs Benedict a 4 star.

The breakfast was fantastic. I had the smoked salmon served on a pretzel roll with capers and thinly sliced red onions. It was absolutely phenomenal, and I would recommend it without reservation. My wife had the eggs Benedict which also didn’t disappoint. The server was cheerful and attentive. I would give breakfast a 5. Dinner wasn’t quite as good. My wife’s tomato appetizer was extremely salty, extremely. My bison tartare was more relish than meat. Her veal medallions were satisfactory, and my bison tenderloin was drowning in a sauce which tasted suspiciously like Knorr’s brown gravy and slathered with butter. It was as though they were trying to cover up the taste of the meat. Our desserts were the highlight: an excellent port for me and a peach crumble for her. The service was solid. For the price, in total, dinner didn’t measure up to breakfast. I would give it 4.25 stars combined, but don’t have that option.

Eating in the dining room was a highlight of our stay. Like the rest of the hotel, the dining room has a rustic mountain lodge feel. The service was top notch. Friendly and very professional. We both had a Winter Salad. My wife had the Zürich Style Veal Tenderloin and I had the Cariboo. I saved enough room for the Crème Brûlée. The food was very well prepared and presented. It was also delicious. No fault of the food that we did not finish our mains because the portions are much larger than we could eat. For breakfast, my wife had the oatmeal and I had the granola parfait. Both hit the spot. Like dinner the night before, I found the size of the parfait more than I had room for. Their coffee is delicious, by the way. Some of the reviews mentioned the cost. Yes, it is expensive, but this is an experience and not just a fill-up. Great atmosphere, great service and great food.

Food was good, but portions were a bit stingy. I ordered an omelet and it didn't come with toast, and then after asking for toast and confirming that I would be billed additionally for it, they only brought me two very small slices from the end of a loaf.

We traveled from Chicago for a winter getaway never expecting this level of a dinner. We were booked by our concierge. I thought we had access to some of the best restaurants, however the Post Hotel has surpassed all of our dining experiences. Just EXCELLENT! The atmosphere was quiet and attentive. Our service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Her level of service was the type when you never had to ask for anything. Some notable menu items were the scallops appetizer, lobster pasta in saffron sauce, and the chef's cod. This was the ultimate dining experience!
