Great environment
An upscale pub in the Post Hotel. Food was good, but pricey.
Nice place for drinks and food
Best service in 10 years!
I went to the pub for breakfast with friends while staying at the connected hostel. I have a lot of food allergies so I couldn't have anything on the menu, and despite being sensitive to potatoes, I ordered breakfast potatoes so that I would have ordered something. Since the pub is connected to the hostel, I didn't think that it would be a big deal to bring some of my tangerines and gluten free cereal in to round out my diet but I was immediately told to put it away because outside food wasn't allowed. I thought that it was pretty insensitive of the serving staff, but I guess people with food allergies are expected to eat alone. Also the food was not veru fresh or good and our server was quite slow and disorganized.
Amazing food , cozy atmosphere. Great place to go for a nice meal out .
Had the goulash and spetchal and it was great. Service was excellent and prices reasonable.
Was here for a wedding. Charming place.
Alissa is one of the greatest waitresses I personally have EVER had serve me she was very good at her job ,polite , knowledgeable and absolutely entertaining best food in lake louise by far and over the top service. Comfortable environment not enough good can be said about the outpost pub
The food was good, and the beer was decently-priced. The tables and dishes were clean. The reason I am giving a lower number of stars is because the waitress made the experience not so great. She came over and was coughing this wet, hacking cough into her hands, then bringing us the things we were to eat and drink from. I definitely felt like if she had a cold, I was going to get it. Also, my girlfriend got one of those little anchovy bones stuck in her throat from the caesar salad, and the waitress unhelpfully told us that anchovies don't have bones, they only have "hairs." Anchovies are very small fish, so they have very small bones that look like hairs, but are still very uncomfortable if one is stuck in your throat. She finally brought a bread roll to help push the bone down. The whole situation was ridiculous.
Cozy little bar. Comfortable seating. Good food.
Great atmosphere and service. Definitely returning to the Outpost.
Place seemed nice to start, however part way through my son's chicken fillet meal he chewed on a small brownish black rubbery round object the size of a large pea. We enquired about this and were told by the manager that the chef said it was a chocolate chip! Three hours later, at 10pm my son has been vomiting every hour and continues all night and into the next day ( a 13yo who is never this ill), but it was only a chocolate chip, right? Came all the way from Australia on our last 4 days and this....a Coincidence???? Maybe listen to you customers who have travelled the world, especially when we showed you evidence that clearly wasn't a choc chip! Would be very cautious.
Food was quite good and the atmosphere is great for après ski.
Nachos were to die for. The drinks were potent! The pasta was a special of the day - it was whatever. The burger on the other hand was delicious!
Great food, better service, the best wine list!
good dinner and beer
Best Pub in Lake Louis! We came here a day after snowboarding ready to chill and feast and this is the perfect place for it. Our server was funny and really helped us decide what to eat. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and is very well kept. Food was great and filling, and much more reasonably priced than a lot of restaurants in Lake Louis. Truly a hidden gem.
The coziest of mountain pubs with such amazing food.
So good! Their grilled chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had, and my wife loved their salads. We went there multiple times during our stay in Lake Louise.
(Translated) Excellent service! And very good food! (Original) Excelente servicio! Y muy buena comida!
One of the best burgers I have had in Canada, if the complimentary bread was as fresh and warm as the restaurant in the hotel upstairs and a little less rockhard/ cold-ish this would be a solid five. I'm a serious bread fan.
Great location, alright food.
We went there after walking back from lake louise, we weren't in the a joined hostel but it looked like the. Nicest bar around. The burger was really good but the fries were pretty awful. Our servers was really friendly and nice. It was a little overpriced (burger 17, pint 7) but no more than enough expected.
Food was really good and service was quick and friendly.
always incredible service and incredible food, highly recommend the steak!
Best little pub in Lake Louise oh and awesome food
(Translated) Lake Luois in Banff, Rocky Mountain, is probably one of the attractions that everyone who visits Rocky Mountain National Park for the first time will visit. Because of its reputation, its lakes and mountains are really beautiful, and there are some hiking trails around, which lead directly to some glaciers or forest lakes, and the scenery is particularly lingering. Usually dinner is eaten late, and I missed the normal dinner time. At this time, the pizza in this restaurant can be taken out, and his business hours are until ten in the evening. The taste is very good. The service attitude is also very good. The service in Canadian restaurants is generally very good. Compared to restaurants in several European countries. The service of Canadian restaurants can be ranked in the top three. This is a good choice to miss a normal dinner. Other restaurants are sometimes closed at 9:30. Some are expensive and not something ordinary people can consume. Of course, you can also choose general fast food restaurants. That is another consumption channel. Loved it. Great food! Good prices and large portion sizes!
Loved this restaurant. Great cozy environment. Good food, especially the pasta special (I enjoyed linguine with lobster. My husband had the steak). Nice wine. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Very accommodating to groups with children. Reasonably priced. Would definitely come back here.
Loved it. Their burger or Patti is fantastic. Get with cheese and Mushrooms and it will melt in your mouth. Great staff, greeted with a smile and very helpful. Nice pub and just an overall nice place to grab a spot of food. Will be coming back ????????????????
Great little spot to get a drink and quick dinner in a nice pub atmosphere. It's mainly hamburgers and sandwiches, but it hit the spot after a long day of traveling.
Good burger of salmon
Overpriced, the fries & schnitzel taste awful, the pizza and goulash were average
Awesome burger
Great atmosphere, awesome service. Food was decent.
The beef goulash with spatzel and purple cabbage was seriously out of this world. The service was also amazing.
Very friendly staff, liked his work and was very helpful. Great steak, the special is so popular you have to be quick!
One of my favorite places on this earth. The service, food, and atmosphere are exactly what you want from a trip to the mountains. My favorite seat is right in front of the fireplace.
Food is great, staff are great, cozy feel.
What a lovely stop in Lake Louise! Beer and burger were just the perfect combination in a nice old style pub environment!
Great great food!!!
So good! Ate here with my buddy during our ski trip. We both ordered the Elk chili which came in a crispy tortilla bowl with skinny crispy french fries. Wicked good! Great atmosphere! It was busy the night we ate here. Update: Here it is in Atlanta in an usually balmy month of October and I'm remembering the deliciousness of the elk chili!
Amazing staff. Very busy during summer. They are great while running their feet of for sure. Food is standard pub food with some specials which come from the fine dining room of the post hotel.
Great little spot to great some comfort food. We cam during dinner rush and bellied up to the bar. We got great service and delicious food. Definitely try the French Onion Soup!
Very nice food. We took onion soup (awesome), salads, daily special soup, desserts). The service was also very good.
Great staff, decent food and pricing.
Such awfully ambivalent service from the barman in such nice surroundings.
Very tasty meal, both of us had the striploin. Great wine ( Canadian pinot gris) and bottles of beer. Had seemed quiet early on in our visit but livened up later. Would recommend for a very tasty meal.
Great meal. Excellent service and atmosphere
Decent food, good atmosphere, large portions. We enjoy this homey, warm, relaxing place to eat. It wasn’t overly busy for lunch and it was very laid back, which we appreciated. The food was good, but not outstanding. Good beer selection though. Great place to relax and have a drink.
Small pub with a great atmosphere. Food was good but some of the dishes were overly salty.
Great staff, decent beer selection, boring food. Whoever chooses the food in that place deserves to lose their job. I had the pasta special which was the only thing that wasn't along the lines of fish and chips and I could have pulled it out of any Midwestern freezer. Obviously they know there is practically no competition for a decent mid priced restaurant in town because a more uninspired menu is not possible.
Pros: Nachos were good, cheesy and had delicious guacamole (free included). Atmosphere was cool, with a beautiful fireplace and some nice couches. Cons: Service was good but not great, even with the restaurant being dead. The price of the items my friends ordered was expensive (though to be expected)
Great drinks and service. Camella was an excellent server and bartender and made fabulous drinks. The couches were extremely comfortable and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place and will be returning again.
My wife and I had a great experience here at Outpost Pub. Jenny was our waitress for the evening and approached us with enthusiasm and a truckload of positive energy. The servers are knowledgeable of their beer selection which includes provincial beers as well as a varying rotating tap (when we were here, it was a Belgian beer). I am a burger snob from San Diego and would give my burger here an 8/10 which is still really good in my book. I usually get medium rare, but by law the burger meat needed to be cooked well done. I was surprised to find the burger meat to be as hydrated and tasteful as what I would have expected from being cooked medium rare. The fries are not spectacular but I wouldn't take away a star just for that. Great ambiance, great staff, decently priced meal for being in an area like Lake Louise. I would definitely come back here to dine on a future trip. Just know especially on weekends there can be long wait times.
A great New Years... the Prime Rib incredible.
Expensive like everything in Lake Louise. Wood burning fire place that throws alot of heat. Great food. Nice staff. Beautiful pub.
Excellent value with daily dinner specials. Get a spot on the couch by the fire if you can. Save room for the Coupe Danemark dessert--so decadent and delicious
Nice location, cozy feel, good (homely) food, decent portion for a decent price. Clean place, nice staff. Often busy with singing and cheering regulars and visitors. Good value for money in a tiny place like lake Luouis.
Great atmosphere in a small pub with a big fire place and great bar. I strongly recommend the Hungarian goulash.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Lake Louise this is our favourite spot for a beverage and a bite to eat. Walking distance from the Lake Louise Hostel.
My party of 2 went out to the Outpost to eat were basically turned away. The waitstaff insisted that the restaurant was full and that no table would open for at least an hour. We offered to wait around at the bar and were told that it would be a waste of our time since nothing was ever going to open up. They didn’t offer to take down our name or number for a waitlist. The couple in front of us was treated the same. The food may be good but we will never know because they clearly don’t want costumers that badly.
Nice food and great vibe

Really great food and service ! The pizza was amazing . Gosh !!
Great margaritas....
Awesome staff fresh food
The pub has a wine list of epic proportions.
pub food
Quaint spot. Food is very good. Love the the fireplace.
Great place
Great staff. Typical bar food. Cozy.
Very friendly service. Had the beef goulash with spätzle which was excellent. Just wish they had more beer on tap.
The deep pan pizza was good, with generous toppings. We ordered the special beef broth and shitake mushroom soup. Nice, cosy ambiance and good service. The complimentary bread was delicious.
Stopped in here for lunch after lovely cross country ski around bow river trail. Service is excellent, nice fire and ambiance. Had French onion soup. Delicious! They need to update their hours on Google business, says they only open at 4:30 during the week but they are in fact open for lunch over holidays. I'd recommend for sure!
The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was quaint. I ordered their sweet corn soup and my husband had their bison chili, both were excellent! Drinks are good too.
We went here for dinner one evening and had the most unpleasant time. After we were asked to sit, no one came around for over 25 minutes to ask us for water let alone take our order. I had to go up to the bartender to place an order. The tables around us were being served but were avoiding ours. Maybe it was because we were the only non-white people in the place? Ridiculous that this occurs in Canada. Even after our food arrived, the French fries for example were old, overdone and cold. Honestly not worth it.
Good spot with good pub atmosphere. Had a very good burger but the fries left something to be desired. Everyone in my group liked their food.
Good food and service.
Best fish and chips ive had in a very long time. The beer menu was also one of my favorites as it has a huge variety, best place to go in Lake Louise
My wife asked for no butter on her steak because of a dairy allergy, but it came with butter anyway. It was also overcooked. My burger was good. The drinks were overpriced. We had a few different mixed drinks and they were watery. The reason I picked that pub was to watch the hockey game. It was fine for that, except that there wasn't sound. I wouldn't want to go back.
Great food and service and environment will be pack.
Food was ok, but it didn't seem like they put any real effort into it.
We had an excellent lunch. The burgers were tender and juicy, even though they were well done, as required . The fries were crispy and light. The service was excellent - attentive and friendly. The vibe was casual and relaxing. Just what we were looking for.
Misleading menu, too "hipster" for my liking, overpriced in general
Outrageously high prices for the most ordinary food. Hard pass.
A bit stuffy and with high opinions of itself. Limited menu and small portions. Food was good quality and service ok.
Great, cosy place. Recommend their Nachos and soup of the day
The service is amazing, they pay very close attention to the customer’s needs and want to make sure everything is perfect. We ordered the Pizza à la Post the two nights we went there because we’re big fans of Chorizo and the crust was delicious, very crispy. The nachos are very big and come with salsa, sour cream and guacamole on the side which is nice because it keeps the chips crispy. Their burger is also great, the homemade buns are tasty.
Nice little place in the Post Hotel. My wife and I split the French onion soup, which was extremely good. She had the goulash, which she liked but didn’t quite love...saying it would have been better with hot German potato salad instead of the spaetzle. My fish & chips might have been the best I have had anywhere, expertly battered and fried to perfection. The service was of good pub quality and the drinks were also good.
Good grub, nice ambience, good service.
Great cocktails
Cute, cozy place. Smells great. Food was a little disappointing though. Ribs were a little overcooked and tough. My burger was great but the fries that came with it were soggy and undercooked. Great service though.
Very cosy bar for drinks, but the food we had was pretty disappointing. Raw pizza base, fries that were uncooked and soggy. The waiter was great and very apologetic but still a spoiled meal.
Expensive and no service we left.
Delicious food! Large serving. Cosy atmosphere with wood burning fireplace and couches.
Fire place was lit! Pizza was outrageous! Cocktails were da bomb! And I felt classy AF! Most Canadian New Year’s Eve of my life!
Great spot to grab a bite after a hike. Excellent food and service. Not too busy
Great burger .
Nice late lunch was had. Big fire to sit near and decent burgers.
Good food, not bad prices for being in a National Park
Might be the worst dinner I’ve actually ever had. I probably wouldn’t be as annoyed if it wasn’t so expensive. We had the stroganoff, half chicken special, and French onion soup. The soup was decent, but the rest of the food was distasteful and cold-plates were cold except the soup. Unfortunately we ate part of the stroganoff as this was one of the few restaurants open past 9 in the area. Service is bad. Server was rude, not to mention disheveled in appearance and openly dropping the F bomb through the restaurant. He never checked on us, but we were able to flag him down to ask about how pink our chicken was, which he reassured us was ok. We didn’t eat it either way to avoid salmonella.
This Relais & Châteaux location was a true disappoint... our service from Simon was the service you would expect in a drive through! My wife ordered the Quinoa Veggie burger and was brought and bun with three tomatoe slices and a wedge of lettuce nothing else, when we ask Simon he said yes that is the burger. We flipped the tomatoe and asked where the rest was? They had to take plate back and reserve after being shown... two burgers pub style for $75 is only worth it when service and quality exist.
Super expensive
We ate here both days we were near Lake Louise and didn't have a bad meal. Everything was homemade and fresh. Service was really good too and they had sport on the tv's. Great place to refuel after a long walk up to the Big Beehive above Lake Louise.
Very cozy place in the beautiful Lake Louise. Glen was kind enough to offer me a splendid service in a short period of time. He was proactive, personable, and offered me a great service!
Food pretry good, value ok. Had better, good atmosphere.
Over priced and pizza not good at all. Employees talking about parties and drug use right in front me.
Great food, burgers are very tasty for basic burger, fries are nice and crispy, service is quick and people are nice
(Translated) First class burger. Good beer. Ample choice of food and drinks. Price performance is good and of course super friendly waitresses (Original) Erstklassige burger. Gutes Bier. Reichliche Auswahl an Essen und Getränken. Preis Leistung ist gut und natürlich super freundliche Bedienungen

Swiss Food in Canada.
I would say this is a "classier" kind of pub you would expect attached to a ski town hotel. Entrees between 15 and 25, with soup, pasta, and entrée specials starting at 9.99 for the soup, up to 22.50 for entrée on special. Good variety of food and nice atmosphere; quieter than a place like O'Sheas. Admittedly, the music playing reminded me of the Fallout 3 soundtrack.
Great food in a great casual atmosphere.
Our favourite lake Louise pub.
