We were so hungry and figured a bar and grill would be a safe option in Lake Louise. 100% wrong. I ordered the chicken strips platter, and it tasted like store-bought chicken strips in the freezer aisle. My husband was also incredibly disappointed with his hamburger. We paid close to $50 for two entrees and felt incredibly ripped off by this establishment. On top of that, the service was very slow despite a lack of customers. Maybe the Chinese menu was good, but in that case don’t market yourselves as a “grill and bar.” Absolutely horrendous.

Walked into lounge, there was no sign about papers before entering so we assumed that they check COVID vaccines at the tables. As we walk in some random lady sitting at the seat next to the door drinking physically blocks us all and yells at us to wait. After waiting for a few minutes we asked each other if we even saw any open seats, at which point she yells no again at us and pushes us farther away? I guess she was maybe some manager who had a few too many because she couldn't seem to remember customers coming back in after smoking and yelled and blocked them as well. The bar also just seemed to all be staff and when one of them sitting at the bar said maybe I'll just scan them quick this lady who yelled at us, (I assume an off duty manager having drinks after work as opposed to a regular, however regardless very unprofessional) Although over all the entire place didn't really seem to care about anyone actually wearing masks either ironically.They seemed to be big fans of the around the chin mask like accessory.After waiting twenty minutes me and my party just decided to leave. We would have been fine with the first warning despite it being aggressive but after the two times being blocked and pushed while we were yelled at, and then having her tell other staff not to serve us we didn't want to give them our money whatsoever. (I understand the punishments for COVID rules being broken are strict)

About the only place in Lake Louise that didn't have a 90 minute wait for dinner. Stuck to the salmon, which was decent and not too unhealthy-- major plus considering a lot of the other menu options! Decor inside is best described as rather-well-used-diner.

The village of Lake Louise has a few food options. We looked around to find something that suited our wants and that was not too expensive--we just needed a small meal to tide ourselves over until we got home. With exception with the cafe/bakery (which was packed), all the other restaurants are highly priced--I understand why, it is a tourist location! I'm giving Lake Loiuse Village Grill a 4/5. When you arrive, the sign says "Please wait to be seated" This place was not very busy, but we had to wait a while before being seated. I caught the attention of staff when I started to walk in past their signage. Food was okay, nothing special--kind of like a Denny's or Salisbury House. The price tag is reflective of where you are--Lake Louise Village! Staff were slightly forgetful--it happens, but when easily reminded, they were okay! Their menu is a mix of burgers/sandwiches, pasta, breakfast and chinese food--so something for everyone. We had a stir fry (it was just vegetables, no noodles or rice), veggie burgers with sides and a grilled cheese sandwich on whole wheat with fries--shoe string fries. Due to the higher price point and simple menu, I'd likely try out somewhere else or bring a picnic lunch. Thank you.

It’s my first time when I visited Banff , I was so Hungary and I saw this place and decided to try the food I and I ordered the veg burger , quantity wise it was fine not so good...and services and even worse. Too expensive I would have spent at some some five star restaurant ... on the top of that when I asked for the bill they came up with a bill but they added their own tip which I was supposed not to give them... 10 $ for a meal of 17$ total cost was 32$...when I asked why tip he said it’s mandatory.. I will not recommend for this place. Too bad their is no as such rule like that...

Restaurant side was nice and friendly, lounge side had a very rude and snippy bartender. Lounge side also has a lot of tables reserved for tours so you have a better chance of restaurant side. Waitresses are super friendly there :)

We walked in and got a table, a couple of us went to the washroom (so dirty in there it was so disgusting (btw, the main dining room washroom was "out of order" so we had to use the BAR washroom). By the time I got back from the washroom the rest of my family said let's get out of here it's so gross and dirty in here.

First, it took forever for someone to come serve us water and take our orders. The restaurant was at about 20% capacity around lunch time when we arrived so this made no sense. Second, everything is dirty. The rim of the plastic cups we were given with our water had dirt that my partner was able to scrape off with his nail. The floors had dirty carpet runners. The tables were cleaned with a dirty rag without ever using a cleaning product. Third, it looks like they keep reusing the same bottles of sauces but the Sriracha looks like something foreign. Fourth, it is expensive and they use the cheapest ingredients. Don't go there!!

The worst experience in dining in Lake Louise area. I would give 0 star if it's available with the fact being tricked to pay over 40% tip for the cheap and low quality food. We had a dinner there on Sept. 10, 2017. The restaurant looked very cheap and not very clean, less pleasant than average fast food restaurants. We just want a quick dinner before going back to hotel after hiking for many hours and there is no other restaurants open in the same shopping center. The young waiter added 20% tip to the bill without asking us, but still leaving the tip line to be filled. My husband added 15% tip in the tip line and he went ahead to add it up to our bill. We ended up paying over 40% tip to the low quality food. We realized the trap on the way back to hotel and felt very unhappy.

Do you like disgusting food and throwing your money in the trash? If so, this is the place for you. I am shocked that this place has 3 stars on google, if I could give negative stars I would. We picked this place based on the fact that we were hungry and this was our only choice. The menu options and photos seemed decent and the restaurant was fairly busy. Unfortunately, we didn't have reception and I couldn't check the reviews. Based on the atmosphere I could tell that we had made a very bad choice. There were 6 of us so we ordered several small dishes. I picked calamari based on the photo which was clearly a stock photo as it showed a battered item but what I got was a breaded chewy item. One of the dishes we ordered was grilled cheese. We thought it would be basic and no one could mess that up. We were very very wrong! We got dried "toasted" whole wheat bread with a slab of cold cheese between them. Garnished with soggy lettuce and some expired tomato chunk. The worst part of it all... We had to pay gratuity because we were a large group. Ugh.

We went there with a group of friends and even though the food was absolutely awful (from 5 people 5 were unsatisfied), the dishes were brought out with significant time differences and the service was lacking enormously, we had decided to tip the girl with cash. When we had paid with our cards and everyone had chosen the "no tip" option, then our server said "thank you for no tips" as soon as she had pulled out the card machine receipt of the last payer. When we stood up to leave the place, still stunned by what she had said, then she was showing us a finger from her kitchen area. Stunned, absolutely stunned..

We were so hungry and this was the only restaurant in this area, we have no time and energy to look around. When we checked the menu and the pics, it looks appealing and appetizing... we ordered garden salad, calamari, stir-fried beef and steam rice.... The service was good and it was fast! I was happy because we were so hungry... To make the story short, Don't waste your money here, was pretty disappointed in our food, the stir fry beef and calamari was was so different from the menu, it was so dark definitely the cooking oil was re used over and over and seems like they deep fry the calamari and the beef in the same oil, was pretty oily and soggy. Salad was watery, the pop don't have any spirit lol u know... but the servers was great, they were fast and friendly... That's the only reason I left a Tip because of our server

Overpriced and unacceptable food. This place is sets a new low in restaurants. The front staff was lousy. We ordered 1 vegetarian fried rice (for my wife), BBQ chicken breast and calamari for take out. Instead we were served CHICKEN fried rice, and half chicken breast. All restaurants close by 10 in lake Louise, so we were left stranded. It's our mistake that we didn't check the food and reviews of this place before visiting. AVOID.. if not you will likely end up disappointed.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been at. Avoid at all costs. My husband and I had the calamari which was deep-fried within an inch of it's life and the Chinese stir fry with chicken where the chicken was boiled and the only vegetables were microwaved cauliflower and broccoli. Horrible.

Ordered salmon and a grilled ham and cheese sandwich. The salmon was so salty it chapped my lips. The ham and cheese, however, really hit the spot - which is why it gets 4 stars. Decent restaurant, but I would definitely play it safe by ordering a burger or sandwich.

It's too expensive for what it is. I paid $15 for a two egg (eggs were an odd colour) breakfast with toast, bacon (that looked like it was sitting out for way too long) and a few potatoes. The food and service were mediocre at best. If you're looking for a bite, try elsewhere. This joint isn't worth the time.

Came here on a two week long trip to Canada in 2017. Worst food of the trip. I ordered the chicken strips (which tasted alright) but the actual chicken was the size of a pebble and the breading was the rest. Same with my brother too. My parents both ordered burgers but barely touched them, even though they can both stand up to pretty bad food. Bathrooms aren’t as bad as some of the other reviewers say but still I’ve seen gas station bathrooms that were better. In total, I say that you should go someplace else. I remember getting these GREAT donuts at the market next door. Give you taste buds a favor and get those. Also noting that when I was reading other one star reviews, I saw that one waitress (I’m betting it was the same one every time) was supposedly giving people the middle finger multiple times, but when a customer gave someone else the finger they got kicked out...don’t know I’m putting this here but I thought some of you might want to know about how the staff are. Please go somewhere else.

I was a bit worried reading the previous reviews (after already deciding to come here after a long day hiking). We ordered the calamari as a starter and fish and chips for the main and was able to turn it into a poutine for a few bucks extra. The calamari came out quick and was nice and hot fresh out of the deep fryer. The fish and chips closely followed and was not too bad - the gravy was definitely powder mix gravy but considering the location and the time we came, we didn't have any other options. The server was very pleasant and attentive and we were in and out within 30mins. Prices were on the high side but you have to expect that from this area of Alberta that caters primarily for tourists. When paying we were able to select the tip amount and we were not over charged at all. Did not get a chance to check out the wash rooms however. This place would have huge potential if they updated the decor (swap fake plants out for real ones etc). The views were nice and it's central to the township.

Avoid this place: No bargain with food below par. Salmon cooked "to perfection" was overcooked. So called "AAA Alberta" steak dishes were ordered by a few in our group. All felt it was stringy and gristly. Truly the worst quality steak I have ever received in a restaurant.

Auto tipping 15% for groups over 4. Before the bill arrived we asked if the tip could be left on the table. The waiter said yes. When the bill arrived it was 15% higher, noted on the bill "15% +5" . Even with the auto gratuity, there was still the option to add a 10%, 15% ot 20% tip option on top of the automatic tip. When we asked the server was the extra 15% was for, they said it is the law in banff national park to add 15% for all groups 5 and over. After several minutes arguing that this is not a law we left this business. The waitress said "Cao ni ma", as we were leaving. Google the phrase to find out the meaning.

The service was definitely subpar. We had trouble just placing the order. After we got our order the waiting staff never returned. This was while they're were 3 tables in total. The food was mediocre poorly put together and subpar ingredients. The salads had almost no dressing on them, extra dressing was 3$. The meats on my club sandwich were gross and processed. The onion rings were actually delicious. The waiter was super rude and complained about the smaller than average tip due to poor service. He had headphones in one ear whilst taking out order. We could see him coughing without turning his head or covering his mouth while preparing silverware. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Do not come here with high expectations. Bathrooms are filthy but the Chinese food is authentic. This restaurant is exactly as it says in their slogan, "a family restaurant" and keep in mind that it is a Chinese restaurant.

I was here July 2018, ordered the barbecued pork and chicken.. felt like it was boiled and commercial barbecue sauce slathered on. Pretty disgusting! I was forced to eat it as it was quite pricey and I hated for it to go to waste! Do not eat here!

Our first clue should have been that on our way in it looked like we were walking in to a pub washroom. Went in to the lounge and they didn't have servers. We were told to go to the counter if we needed anything and when asking what kind of beer they had he just opened the fridge instead of telling us. After looking at the menu we left. It was very expensive for some very basic looking items.

Great food, but the small portions at extremely high prices are a deal breaker. The service was incredibly fast, but after that, they left us alone. The water glasses were consistently empty and never refilled. Eat at the Café nearby or at a real restaurant, this place won't cut it for most people.

Food is bad. Really bad. Honestly tasted worse then a hungry man dinner. food was freezer burnt and cold in the middle. Me and my girlfriends meals came out to almost 60 bucks for a burger spring rolls and a (frozen)salmon burger. Definitely stay away. The worst part was we drove 20 mins to Banff and had a huge selection of way cheaper and better restaurants.

This was very disappointing. Please don't associate your visit to a beautiful place in Canada with the service and food at this restaurant. I know options are limited in Lake Louise but I was thoroughly let down by this experience. The food was average. The atmosphere was nothing special and had a "denny's after midnight" feel to it. If you've spent money to come to one of Canada's most beautiful places, don't spend more on this establishment.

Went there on a Saturday night with friends to be immediately welcomed by an aggressive drunk lady who karate chopped me to yell at me that I have to talk to a server first. We tried to take to the bartender... who was too busy trying not to look hammered out of her mind and pretty sure did not notice three big dudes waiting for nearly 20 minutes while everyone else at the bar did notice us and it felt like they were embarrassed for us. It was absolutely pathetic. I visit Lake Louise to snowboard religiously every year as much as I can and have been to nearly every well known bar/pub/lounge in Banff and this sad excuse of a "bar" is so far worse than any other bad experience I have had anywhere in Canada. If you don't want anyone in there but the locals - why bother putting up a sign and your address on google for anyone to find???

Do not recommend at all. Our party of 4 were hungry after the buses being backed up due to an accident. This was sadly the only sit in option at the time. Food was awful. And rediculously overpriced. Our $115 bill tasted like a $25 concession stand at a small town hockey rink.

My husband and I went there for lunch a few days ago. The menu was pretty basic with a Chinese section which we did not order. Both of us had the burger and fries, and mozza sticks . The food was what we expect from a casual diner, so nothing to cheer or complain about. The portion was actually pretty generous and fast The price is a bit high which is why I didn't give it a 5 stars. If we wanted something better, we could spend double at one of the hotels. Overall, we wouldn't mind eating there again if we wanted something quick and simple.

We arrived late and with this restaurant right across the street decided to try it ! And I'm glad we did . We ended up eating there both nights we were here as my 2 teenage boys enjoyed their meals so much . One got the chicken fried rice the other the thick noodle chicken . Both meals came with generous amounts of chicken and were really tasty ! Staff was very friendly and helpful . We did not use the washroom facilities so cannot comment on that ,but as far as food and service go we all would highly recommend this restaurant .

The only thing this place has going for it is that they’re virtually the only restaurant option around the area. That’s it. Our experience at the restaurant was poor from the beginning. We were not approached to have our waitress take our order for at least 20 minutes. The food was absolutely terrible. I have never in my life been served such poor quality food at an establishment and this opinion is shared by our entire party of seven. There was no checking up on the table and no asking whether our food was satisfactory. This place needs some serious restructuring of their menu and upgrades, as well as some better training for their staff.

We visited this place on 30-Jul-17 afternoon. Majority of workers probably were Chinese. Maybe this restaurant own by a Chinese guy as well. The restaurant quite dirty even the food wasn't bad. We were surprised that the waiter put tips (about 15% of the order's value) into the bill even without asking about our agreement! What an insolence! No respect to customers at all. We will never come to this place again. Do not recommend this place!

Servers were not friendly. Poor food quality. We were part of a bus tour. Maybe establishment were consistently under paid and tipped by travel agencies so they have no incentive to provide decent service to us. A reflection of their customer service in general.

This place was terrible. Do not recommend. Each dish was the worst version our group has ever tried in their category. Terrible chicken wings. Wet and undercooked. Untrustworthy fish and chips. Undercooked chicken sandwiches. All of the dishes are either made out of cheap options or from frozen. The service was only slightly better than the worst ever food. Out menus didn’t reach our table until we made an effort to grab a waitresses’ attention about a half hour in. The bills at the end were an even longer wait. The food is the worst quality available and with sub par service, you better need a great reason to find yourself in this building. Our was needing to watch Italy defeat England in the Euro Final. Forza. Never eat here.

DO NOT GO HERE! This is the worst place I’ve ever eaten! It was inexplicably awful in every conceivable way. The decor of the entrance closely resembled that of a public toilet and everywhere seemed grimy. The food was diabolical. Couldn’t eat much of it. It would have been much better to simply have skipped the meal. Starvation would have tasted better at least. Avoid at all costs.

Tourist trap! Tl;dr - there are restaurants in the fairmont hotel right beside lake louise which are just a free shuttle away! Went here last Sep 3, 2017 noontime. Worst chinese restaurant so far. Their sweet and sour cod was neither sweet nor sour and the fish seemed to be frozen before they cooked it. Ginger beef didn't taste of ginger or beef. The fries seemed made from 50% potatoes. The only thing they got just a tiny bit right is their fried rice excluding the chicken breast cutlets they added to it.

The $17 quesadillas were half bread, the filling was poor, and the salad tasted like it was made the day before and saturated. I'd expect alot more at this price then poor grade cafeteria food.

Tourist trap. Food is around $20+ but it is not worth it at all. Ordered sweet and sour cod for $23. Worst decision i've made. Fairmont hotel food costs around $13 - $20 but it is wayyyy better than the food here. Better hop on the free shuttle to fairmont near lake louise and have lunch there

The worst restaurant in my life ! The Teriaky burger was horrible and the salmon burger is made with a sort of frozen salmon for kids. I don't recommend this place. The food is not good quality at all and it's expensive for the poor quality.

My family got green diarrhea from eating at this place. The milk they served was sour and when they brought us a replacement (for the milk) it was clearly diluted. Plus other food was greasy and the oil, possibly, went rancid. Would give 0 star, but that is not an option. They had good water though!

Beautiful location right in the midst of the mountains. Plenty of parking available, quaint handicraft and candy stores right next door. A beautiful little sitting area just behind the place. You can get your food to go and sit at the benches by the stream.

This place is pretty underrated. We loved it. It's absolutely nothing fancy, but it's not trying to be, nor does it have to be! It was perfect comfort food after a long drive from Jasper! Really simple stuff, the poutine was by no means traditional, but it was still delicious, the same grated marble cheese they used for that was used on the ceasar salad. Like I said, nothing fancy! But delicious. Service was friendly, fast and accurate.

They messed up our order immediately... not a good first impression so I figured I'd order an on tap beer.... the bar does not offer on tap beer. The quesidillas were so great that they were soggy upon arrival. And im a local get this. If you're in the lounge no locals discount if you're in the restaurant then it qualifies? What is that? If you want good food in Lake louise go to deer lodge. Reasonable pricing and good drinks unlike this waste of money. Trust the locals opinions. I'll never go back. Also I forgot to mention if you like shredded marble cheese on a Ceasar salad this might be the place for you.... though I've never seen anywhere else do this before.

Restaurant is really run down, which is fine if the food is good but like other reviewers have said, it’s frozen food heated up. Service mediocre. If I had the insight to read reviews first, would have gone elsewhere. It’s Lake Louise, so it’s all expensive, might as well go somewhere else where it will at least be worth it.

This place was absolutely disgusting. The floors dirty, the walls dirty with chunks missing, the decore cheap. The food was without flavor as well as burned eggs and sausage. It was only my wife and myself and the server couldn't remember who ordered the breakfast and who ordered the lunch. My first impression was "The owners must be more interested in saving money rather than impressing the guests". Save your money go elsewhere.

Avoid the restaurant as much as possible unless you dying of hunger on your way to somewhere. The food is awful, nothing but frozen stuff heated up. What they call a poutine is frozen fries with grate cheese on top : unacceptable. Gets packed with tourist when a bus rolls in town, totally irritating. The bar lack of personality and variety. Nothing but coors light and Canadian in a bottle. Only good point : The view. Nothing to see in there.
