The food was tasty and they gave large portions (perhaps too large for the nachos). We went for my birthday and they gave me why cocktail for free as I didn't want a dessert which was nice. Our waitress was lovely however the restaurant was fairly empty but we were sat down next to 2 other couples which was a shame as it was quite a tight area. Also as it was quite quiet the food came out very quickly so it all felt quite rushed. Overall, was a decent meal and one of the only restaurants in the Fairmont/Lake Louise area we could afford!

I stayed at the Fairmount hotel where this restaurant is located for 14 days and eat here at least 8 of those days. Food: I would call it a fairly limited menu but all dishes are cooked perfectly and the produce is top quality. The portion size is medium to large. Drinks: wine menu not the best, you can ask for the main wine menu that serves the rest of the hotel but you need to ask, it won't be offered. The cocktails are great and they have wide range of sprits. Service: I can't fault the service, the staff are mainly travellers but they all have a fun easy going vibe about them. They are attentive without being over bearing. Remember this isn't a fine dinning place so don't expect that level of service.

Great spot to grab and go a coffee or quick bite to eat while visiting Lake Louise. Prices are a bit expensive but that is to be expected. Lots of variety to choose from you will not be disappointed!

Went to the restaurant to chill and enjoy the Lake louis view. It was shocking to see that the food was not fresh. The fried chicken was cold and so were the french fries. Dont expect a restaurant inside Fairmont this bad. The server also treated us like she didn't care.

I forgot to take pictures of the food, because it was just so good. I had the Alpine burger, then the cheesecake creme brulee for dessert. The burger was perfect - juicy, just barely pink all the way through. So flavorful. My mouth is watering just thinking about it right now. The creme brulee was good too, though it was a little too "cheesecake-y" for me. I would have preferred a legit creme brulee. The restaurant has a very limited view of Lake Louise - we couldn't see it from where we were. But still a very nice setting. There was some nice live music while we were there as well. And prices weren't unreasonable for the quality of the food and the location. I'd go again.

Always a pleasure visiting the Alpine Social. Very chill, hipster vibe, in world renowned Lake front Hotel. More casual dining compared to other restaurants in the CLL. Always a good place to stop in for a beverage and bite to eat. Definitely recommend the waffle fries and Alpine Burger. Servers and bartenders always going above and beyond. Keep up the good work.

I don’t say this lightly: this is the best cocktail bar I’ve ever been to. Incredible, creative cocktails and wonderful whiskey flights. I also had lunch here and the food was wonderful (I had the duck Cobb salad). They reserve the right for hotel guests to have priority, which is totally understandable. But highly recommend this place. Bartenders and staff were wonderful too.

This place was fun! It was open late and the drinks were great! I did not try the food so I have no comments about that but the bar is fully stocked! It is a great place to go to hang with friends if you are staying at the hotel. It is very convenient, especially if there is bad weather outside. The missing 1 star is because I found the chairs lightly uncomfortable.

Went here for dinner while we stayed the weekend at the chateau. I had the ribeye and my wife had the beef tenderloin. Although the meat was very tender and delicious, we felt the plate of food was rather lacking for the price. The meat was placed on a bed of rice/barley, which was rather dry. The half a tomato as the only other accompaniment didn't help it out much. I ordered a side of brussel sprouts and the side was large enough to feed both my wife and I. Overall I would probably come here again but order a sandwich or hamburger off their menu instead.

It took longer than 30 minutes to have our meals ready, even there were not many customers. The food was so so only. The burgers were overcooked and too salty. The steak was overcooked the first time, but the waitress heard our concern and redid the steak to better. The lamb burger was smelly. The fries were excellent.

We went there twice while at the Fairmont. The 2nd time was to again have the Seafood Chowder! It is delicious and worth a second visit. Our waiter Jordan, was extremely friendly without being intrusive. He promptly seated us and took our order, great service . The burger and fish tacos were both very tasty.

This had good food. I wouldn’t call it great by any means, but I didn’t have great food anywhere in the Rockies with exception to the Patricia Street Deli in Jasper. As a foodie, it is disheartening, but I understand that the mountains isn’t always the best place for a foodie to visit. Good thing I went here for the hikes/scenery! Overall, its decent food, decent beer selection, good vibes, very clean, and great staff. We ate here twice and while it wasn’t memorable, it is consistent.

Jordan was our server on two visits. My wife has a gluten allergy and he carefully checked the menu with the kitchen and answered all questions with care and concern. We got nachos each time and they were outstanding—the sides were a great touch. Jordan also made the two best versions of our favorite drinks— Tito’s Mule and the Alpine Old Fashioned. One day left and we may be back!

Also it was odd that they only had disposable wooden chopsticks(like those from an all you can eat Chinese place) I expected a fancy place like this to have real chopsticks.

Pretty mediocre restaurants at the Fairmont. Keep in mind that Lake Louise has very limited restaurant selections, so prices are high and you will get just edible food- at any restaurant. I would hope for better at a Fairmont, but it was not the case. Very heavy on meat choices, limited if you are vegetarian also.

I was part of a group of 8 adults and 3 children that visited. They were able to seat us asap, however the food took over an hour to come after we ordered. Three of us had their cob salad. It came wilted from sitting in the dressing to long. The quantity of duck in it was extreamly disappointing.The bacon had cold grease dried and pooled on it. The manager justified it by saying they cook all of the bacon in the morning and that it was normal. He did not make any attempt to fix this. One of our party complained to our server and she took her salad and only her salad off the bill. Another had ordered the chicken wings but has an allergy to tomatoes and told the server this. Instead of letting him know the sauce has tomatoes so he could pick something different, they brought the wings out plain. Our server tried but the rest of the experience was ridiculous.

Jordan and Jesse are fantastic Boozeologists! My mother and I had an hour before our shuttle to Banff and they both went above and beyond to make our last minutes at the hotel special! They are funny, they hustle, and they make fantastic whiskey and gin drinks! Their manager also stopped by to ask about our service and we couldn’t have been more impressed. Thank you Jordan and Jesse for helping make a memory my mom and I can share forever!

The food was suberb. The staff was friendly and accommodating; however, 3 hours for dinner for 2 was ridiculous. The manager was top notch in trying to remedy issues but even offering a free dessert wasn't something worth sitting around for another hour to arrive. Jack, who wasn't our server helpfed us anyway and his ability to multitask with a smile was a definite highlight! We would definitely visit again if food was served in a timely fashion. We saw several larger parties arrive after we had arrived and left much earlier than we did. The restaurant is surrounded by world class views of Lake Louise. It's a hip upscale place. There was great live music by a singer who knew the exact level to create ambiance and not interfere with conversation. Overall, a good experience but if you have somewhere to be, try a different spot to grab a bite. There's so much to see and do outdoors, I can't imagine most people would prefer spending it waiting for food...albeit superb food.

Ordered a steak sandwich and out came something very different. Since when is a steak sandwich thin shaved pieces of meat, a funky cheese and red peppers all mushed together on pretzel bread? Our stomachs did not sit well after eating. The server wasn’t a very enthusiastic person. Avoid the food, disappointed for being inside the Fairmont.

My wife and I visited twice (July 2017 and August 2019) and thoroughly enjoyed our visit on both occasions. The food is very good and a good drinks menu as well. The staff are fantastic as expected with attentive and polite service. For us, the main draw is the outside space where you can sit and enjoy the stunning view with some great food. We can’t wait to get back!

Food took more than 30 minutes to make, and that was despite the fact that there weren't many people. The staff was rude and the food was only mediocre and highly overpriced. Avoid this place like the Plague.

The kitchen and staff are lazy when it comes to allergies so be cautious. When I asked about gluten they kept saying they can't guarantee anything and refused to help me until I pointed out that answer doesn't help the customer and the kitchen should know their processes well enough to give recommendations. Then suddenly they had suggestions. The food was fine but over priced for size and quality.

Came in for a nightcap before bed, and found it was difficult to get service, though there were few guests, and ample staff (bartender was chatting to wait staff, taking up their time). After 20 minutes, finally went to bar to order drinks. Drinks were good, but had to go to bar again to get napkins, etc. Service was simply sub-par in a quality hotel.

Jordan our bar tender was perfect. He was quick to take our order, get us exactly what we wanted and when he stepped away Jeremy stepped right in to take over. Both of them were very friendly. The food was good and the service even better.

Food is ok, drink is amazing, staff is helpful, only one thing: I really don’t like rush me to make the payment. I only stay here for about 45 minutes with my wife, and there is a few table have customers, we have two soup, two main dishes and one fries, why ask us to make the payment twice? Only care about money is not a problem, but making customers feel uncomfortable is a shame.

The menu is pretty basic. Nothing bad to say about the food, but the price is a bit too high for what you are getting. You are paying premium for the location, really. I eat here few times a year simply because there are no other places to eat at Lake Louise. You won't be disappointed, but you won't have a feeling that you've got your money's worth. Staff is nice, so leaving a good tip is a no-brainer.

Aviators Review

Sat at the outdoor patio over looking the lake. Exceptional view. Good selection of craft brews on draft with higher than normal prices ( to be expected). In the range of 11-14 $ per pint. Smaller menu for lunch. Opted for the house burger which was average at best. Waiters appeared to be mostly summer students and was sub par for an establishment such this. There are multiple eating establishment through out the resort, however many give priority to the hotel guests so getting a seat on a nice day in the summer is tricky.

Service was excellent, it's also open later then the other restaurants. We had the smoked wings which were excellent, the waffle fries which were just okay and the BBQ flatbread pizza. We enjoyed the food and I would return to try other items on the menu. As with most places in banff/lake Louise it was a bit over priced.

Great service (Marrisa). Good choices for beer, wine and cocktails. Interesting menu with lots of items to share. We got the deconstructed sushi which was fun and tasty. Reasonable for location. Made a reservation in advance and they made sure the game was on and we had a table next to the TV -- thanks! Visited a year later and had the nachos -- big and good! 4 stars vs 5 this time around.

We checked in late in the afternoon to the Fairmont at Lake Louise. We dropped our bags and decided we needed a cocktail so headed to Alpine Social as the Lakeview Bar was packed. Jordan was our waiter and from the get go we were laughing and having a great time. Then the drinks came; wow, this guy knows his craft. My drink is unique and he nailed it, and my girlfriends drink, she loved as well. We are going to return tomorrow as well as he is great. Love this bar and the staff.
