Delicious Mexican food. We tried the beef tacos, chicken fajitas and the lamb chops it was all fabulous and tasted authentic. The sauces were really well made and all sides the rice, fried beans and vegetables had great flavor. Highly recommended.

The staff is super friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food is tasty but noticeably salty. We had the enchiladas with mole sauce. I asked for corn but received flour tortillas. The side dish of refried beans was dry and the sautéed veggie portion was very small. The seasoned rice was perfect. The guacamole was good, served with homemade chips and hot sauce. The indoor seating is quite noisy and small. The outdoor seating is also tight but it’s nice to be outside. They have a cozy vine covered alley with nice lighting and seating for couples.

Family owned and operated. I've been coming here for over a decade and they always are very friendly and kind. They make the best guacamole in town. The chicken in mole in favorite. The enchiladas are delicious and they give a generous portion.

I've been twice. It's authentic Mexican cuisine! It's delicious. The guacamole was extraordinary. The gazpacho was a tad too salty for my taste but great just the same. Also loved the chicken fajitas!! Yum! Highly recommended for a spot by the canal.

A bit overpriced and tastes more like Italian than Mexican food; they use ingredients found in Italian cuisine, rather than typical Mexican cuisine ingredients in all dishes we ordered. Other than that, service was great and food arrived fast, place looks great and welcoming.

Ordered via an app. Trying this restaurant for the first time. We had chicken enchiladas, stuffed beef capsicum, garlic bread and plain nachos. It arrived very warm (we are in Dorval and them Lachine); don’t take this for granted. Wifey and I loved your food. It was very tasty and rich. She found your rice delicious. We will order again.

A solid 4 star mexican restaurant. The place is small and a bit outdated, but this is well compensated by their good quality food and large portions. The staff is incredibly nice!The menu is not extensive, but all choices look delicious. We tried guacamole, chicken fajitas, and shrimps. We were not disappointed. The place is packed in the evening. Pay for parking on front of the restaurant or find a spot for free nearby.

I think it is one of the few restaurants that I can say that the food is delicious! the atmosphere is not quite pretty or maybe it was too early. I recommend calling to make a reservation, although you can also arrive and ask for a table. One of the things that I don't like is that they take too long to serve you and deliver the food. the tacos ? nothing to do with Mexican originals but delicious. Although it is a very quiet place, I can say that I highly recommend it!

Amazing location with beautiful views. I wasn’t very happy as I felt that it was overpriced for what it’s offering. Definitely not the best Mexican food I tried, but I have no complaints on the food quality. Portion size was very average. Very minimal sauce and condiments on the side.

A friend and I went for lunch today and the place was packed. We took the very small remaining table right beside the bar. As you would expect, it was quite noisy but the restaurant was jammed so no surprise there. The staff were very nice and the service was good. Margaritas were great, however the food was barely warm so that was a bit disappointing and a big no-no for me, I like my food hot.

First restaurant since the quarantine. To beat The Corona Virus...go where the Tequila lives! The margaritas were authentic, so refreshing on a hot day. Yumm. Guests were evenly spaced out but it still had a good ambiance. I took the lamb and I was not expecting the size of my plate. Could have fed a small village! The sauce and seasoning was perfect. Grilled vegetables galore! We also had Ceviche which we were told was Red Snapper. Reminded us of eating it on the beach, minus people trying to sell you tourist trinkets. Very pleased with our choice and the staff was absolutely charming.

Frustrating. That was my experience. I had been to El Meson before, and thought we'd go back for another go, I though the food was good, and was looking forward to a ceviche. I called to reserve for 6:30, and the fellow that took my call confirmed a table for 2, for 6:30 pm, took my name and phone number. When we arrived on time, he declined he had taken my reservation, declined I had called, said they don't take reservations for the same day. Bottom line, is they gave a way our table, and he decided that lying to me was the way to go. We asked if they could accommodate us, eyeing an empty table. But he said that's a table for four, and we'd have to wait. We decided, we didn't like being lied to, and we took our appetites and business to another restaurant, and were very happy with our choice.. El Meson, is off of our list of go to restaurants.

I'm only giving one star because I was asked to show my vaccine passport 5 minutes after I was seated while my two friends who'd been seated before me were never asked. I believe it's because I'm young and a visible minority while they are not. I will not be going back.

Great little resto in Lachine! Fairly priced and very good food. Most of all, the service was excellent. The waitresses were both very nice and polite. Parking is difficult to find but there are paid parking lots nearby. Definitely recommend!

We came tonight and bought a bottle of Italian red wine 38$ and tortilla soup x2 the most expensive red meat item on the menu x2. Asked for all the extra fixings, didn't receive them and the lamb was raw. The lamb was brought back and returned in edible condition. The food was decent. Still no extras. We ate. The server assumed that I as a male would be the one to decide if the wine was acceptable and also assumed I was paying the whole bill. He then expressed true frustration when I tipped 5$. I'm sorry but the service and food didn't deserve a larger tip. We felt the need to run out because 4the server was harassing me . Won't be coming back. Sorry.

One of the best authentic Mexican restaurants , not one of those taco express places . You will find authentic dishes , like one of my favourite Chiles Rellenos ( stuffed peppers with your choice of meat , topped with melted cheese , with side of rice and beans ) Huge variety on the menu , guacamole is delicious with those crunchy chips. Service is amazing , been here many times , this time was take out due to Covid , beautiful park across the street with benches you can bring your food and enjoy it there . I can go on and on about this place , highly highly recommended , worth the drive !
