Food is ok for outside of Chinatown dim sum , but way over priced, they might want to considering lowering it a bit, i understand its the only place in the area for dim sum but its borderline gouging. Good Cantonese chowmein and only place that serves beef chow fun also a bit pricey. Overall its good but wallet wise i can take the metro to chinatown

Rude phone receptionists , i called to confirm my order this new receptionist because we had communication issues. After i asked to confirm the order she simply said " la commande est en route et j'ai pas de temps pour confirmer ce que vous avez commander au revoir" then hung up before i could say another word. Good food and good service during the day. Horrible staff members at night. We went there regularly during my last pregnancy. And today, we went there for brunch with my sister for her birthday. Later on the same day, we went to SuperC next door. Our 4-month old baby needed hot water to warm up his formula. We went in the restaurant kindly asking for hot water. The waitress (different from day staff) refused at first to give us some hot water. She kept asking if we would be buying food. She RELUCTANTLYLY gave us a tiny bit of hot water (1/3 of the volume requested and clearly not enough to warm up our bottle) after I told her that we were there this morning. Not very helpful! In other words, if you want to go there, go there during the day, not at night!

I am originally from Vancouver and I have now lived in Montreal for about 15 years. Being from Vancouver, I am a lover of various sorts of Asian cuisine. After several futile attempts to find some authentic and good Chinese/Thai cuisine, I gave up hope, and ceased my optimism of enjoying Chinese food again.....UNTIL NOW!!! I ordered the , Shrimp fried rice, the Pad Thai, and the Peanut butter dumplings. Holy Shifu!! lol, this is some of the greatest Asian cuisine that I have ever eaten, and believe me, this is unbelievable! I have found the grail, and it's called, CHEZ PING! Thank you Chez Ping.

I would gladly leave no stars at all. I ordered for my Birthday and not only the food was bad, half of it was NOT MY ORDER! I got noodles in place of vegetables, etc... the Duck, which is pricey, was COMPLETELY DRY. What added insult to injury, was that it smelled so good! But none of the taste made it; they could have added some of the cooking sauce, but no. Maybe I should not complain, after all: there was COLESLAW, so I got veggies, right? If you order from them, do it early and prepare to have words. Better yet, DON'T DO IT.

The food is great and the normal service is good too. Most staff are very friendly. Service during Dim Sum can be a bit slower. and less efficient. It's a little bit pricier than other Chinese restaurants though. There's plenty of parking space though, which is very nice. Good place to go eat if you can't be bothered to get downtown.

So we were not really hungry for dinner. Looking for a dim sum place near verdun and Ping was the one that jumped out. Great venue. Nicely spaced tables. Very courteous and helpful staff. We ordered some dim sums, soups, and a big plate of crispy calamari for 3 persons. Total with tips about $43. No drinks. I will come back to try other plates. Try the baby squid dim sums!

The food is very good. The problem is every time I call for a pick up order, there is always something missing or the wrong dish is in my order. And I am serious, almost every time. Yesterday I ordered Shanghai noodles and got Cantonese chow mein. When I called to tell them the response was, oh well. Not we'll come and change it or come back or even, sorry we made a mistake. So if ever you order takes out, check your order.

A gem in LaSalle, more convenient for West Islanders than Chinatown for authentuc chinese food. Elegant decor, surprisingly spacious and accessible, lots of parking and next to a Super C so that you can eat then do your grocery shopping next door. The sign for the restaurant is not obvious. They are right next to the Super C at the corner location. They have several semi private seating areas for tables of 8, which is very cool. I tried their dim sum menu with our family. They dont have the waitresses pushing a dim sum cart around like in Chinatown. You order from a dim sum menu and the wait staff brings it to your table. My favorite is the pan fried chive dumpling. Will go again and try their dinner menu some day.

I ordered general tao chicken and bao from restaurant named shifu on skip the dish and I know it's actually from here. Food was very delicious. General tao chicken was crispy and sweet. Bao was really juicy and its texture was amazing. Pricing is average not too expensive.

Ate there Sept 16 at noon. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We ordered wonton soup, which was good, shrimp dumplings, which were ok but more dumpling than shrimp, pork dumplings, which were good but very dense, and eggplant stuffed with shrimp, that had very tough skin. We also had crab stuffed seaweed, very good, and spring rolls, which were also good. The spareribs were very fatty and chewy. The egg tarts to finish off were great. This was not Ping at its best and we have seen better days at this friendly restaurant.

Very bad service! We arrived here at 6:40 and there weren’t many people. But we only got served with our food more than an hour later. Besides it turns out the server completely forgot about us. The food was also cold so we had to ask them to heat it.

Complete and utter disaster of a Chinese restaurant. 1 - Front of house extremely scatter brained. Don't take my order if you are just going to turn around and chat with a waitress. Had to repeat my order 3 times. 2 - My food order that consisted of the following: Shrimp Fried rice SooGuy Chicken (Fried chicken) Deep Friend Pork Chops Beef with Snow Pea leaves Took a grand total of 55 minutes... Other tables that were seated after me by 15 minutes were served before I was served my takeout... Honestly these dishes don't take long to make. 3 - Lady at the front desk was so rude. When taking my order could not pay attention for more then 30 seconds. When asked where my food hasn't come out the answer was "It's in the kitchen". Mind you it is an acceptable answer if it was a 10 minute wait. Yet this is after 45 minutes. I replied "Can you go check where my order is?". I got the rudest reply right after. She said "That's not my job". 4 - One of the wait staff seemed a bit concerned and told me she saw one of my dishes packed and sitting there for "Like 10 minutes" So I'm assuming one of the four dishes I ordered would be cold by the time I got it. Boy was I right. 5 - Food taste bland and no care was taken in seasoning. Honestly. Save your money. Save your time. Drive Downtown, Chinatown, St-Laurent or even Verdun. This place is utterly disappointing...

Dim Sum in LaSalle! Legitimate, tasty stuff, too. One of the two “cart” ladies was friendly and helpful — usually, they refer you to the waiters for anything other than selling you Dim Sum. Waiters were pretty cordial and attentive as well, despite a busy time of day. Food quality was high, flavours and freshness as well. Overall, a *tad bit pricier than Chinatown equivalent, but the convenience factor is huge (I live in NDG). Recommend!

I got to say that although the General Tao was good and i am sure that many other dishes are well prepared as well, i got a quite unpleasant experience by ordering a duck soup (which was not on their menu but they offered to make it) They gave me a Hot Sour soup with tiny slices of duck, basically the Duck Soup was not even having a duck flavor for which i paid almost 20$. My mistake, never again and 2 advises for the costumers: when ordering be sure that the dish exists on their menu for they can be quite creative, and second: don't forget to check your order for you might get disappointed when home.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My husband and I ordered from this restaurant (pepper shrimp, general tao, spring dumpling) the food was so bad we had to throw it out. It was all batter and no chicken, super blend and full of oils. WE both got sick to our stomach. We called the restaurant to explain that we did not like the food and got sick. Never heard of a Chinese restaurant without a takeout menu. When ordering food by phone we were expecting to pay to non uber pricing. Prices are marked up so Uber can profit. We get charged uber prices for takeout which is ridiculous. Proceeded to ask for the takeout menu we're told there isn't one and please refer to Ubereats menu. We're going to let our friends in Chinatown in Toronto know what kind of Joke Montreal area Chinese restaurants are doing. Funny how Chez Ping Monk has a takeout menu and their takeout price is legit.

Great dim sum! Worth it if you're in the area or even to go out of your way!!! Dumplings are delicious and nice plates from their a la carte menu. Only issue is that you have to order exactly what you want, no carts going around that you can just choose from. Love that they are in a strip mall with a huge parking lot, no problems parking.

Very nice service, awesome food, especially dim sum, but expect variations from time to time. I've been here about 30+ times, and it's not always the same; it will vary anywhere from "pretty good" to "awesome". This a restaurant with great tasting food. They offer in house dining, takeout and delivery. The food is flavorful and the price is acceptable because the food tastes so good. The location is a bit weird though. Downside: the same meal will taste slightly differently depending on when you go there. I don't wish to speculate as to why but the food will be awesome one day and just good on another day. This is unfortunate because, they might have gotten 5 stars if they were more consistent. The decor lacks luster for sure but it doesn't even matter because the food is so Damn tasty!

I used to love this Place ! We went today to order takeout. The guy infront was very rude . I asked him a price but never gave me any answer instead he gave a bill with attitude (ofcourse). I do understand if you don’t understand English nor French but atleast don’t be rude.

The food was DELICIOUS! I ordered the salt and pepper shrimp, it was pleasantly and surprisingly crispy - especially as it was delivered food. The chicken mayo was also really tasty. Also tried the 3 other dishes, they were all yummy. Customer service was A+. Responsive, caring and intentional. 100% recommend.

Disappointed!! It took a long time to be served (restaurant had only 4 tables to serve).Waittress didn't bring any water (had to ask for it).I ordered dim sum. Spair ribs were terrible (no meat only fat). Waittress apologized, no refund for spair ribs. Menu for dim sum costly.
