I think I'm reasonable when I review places. I Ordered a poutine. The black box was barely filled, too much sauce I can deal with but the potatoes were not cleaned prior to being used because I could feel grains of dirt/sand as I chewed. I'm never going back there.

My favorite hot dog stand franchise to eat at when I'm in this part of town. Just something about the hot dog wieners that other more commonly known hot dog restaurants like "La Belle Province" and such don't have. I could be mixing it up but I believe that Lafleur's wieners are "Lesters" and ALL the other places use "Hygrade" or something else. Could me mixing up which brand Lafleur's uses but I'm pretty sure they are the only ones using that brand of wiener.

Allow me to introduce you to a Montreal landmark, Lafleur, home of the best steamie (hot dog) around. They tell me the burgers are really good too but I wouldn't know because in the near 40 years I've been going there I've never had one. Lafleur is a small chain consisting of 17 restaurants in and around the island of Montreal. I go to the original stand, and believe me that's all it is. Don't go there looking for frills but if you go looking for the best dogs and fries in Montreal then you're at the right place. Sure it's a little pricier than the competition but aren't you worth it? I usually get an "all dressed" (a slather of mustard topped with cabbage and relish mixed together), a Michigan (meat sauce) cheese with onions and a bag of fries. My wife likes the Supreme, a grilled hot dog with bacon and cheese on a grilled bun. It's all tasty good delicious. If you go once you'll always go back.

Steamed warm Hotdogs all dressed are always great - they hit the spot and BONUS there is also a self serve soft drink machine. Now on this visit when it came to the Fries and Poutine, the fries were dark brown and rancid. Either the oil needs to be changed or over fried and now the oil is spoiled. I'm sure they will fix that. Other than that it's Laleur's and it hits the spot on any day for a quick bite. Yum.

Hot dog was amazingly delicious. Bun itself was very soft moisturized and slightly chewy. It was just perfect! Nevertheless the sausage inside hotdog was so great. However, they put too large chapped onion on my meal and it burns stomach for awhile. Half star removed from there and another half star was removed from fries. Potato was too soggy and oily.
