This is a small but cozy restaurant serving excellent food. Appetizers come free with your meal and the wait staff were very nice and polite. All of us enjoyed our food and it was really neat to watch some of the food being cooked right in front of you. I had a delicious traditional soup served in a hot stone bowl. It was still boiling when they brought it to the table and stayed hot throughout the meal. A good place to eat if you enjoy trying different types of cuisine!

I placed an order for delivery and it was disgusting!! I chose this place based on reviewd and i was highly disappointed!! I ordered the grilled meats and they filled the container with 3/4 of sprouts and the meat on top lol. The other stuff was undercooked and tasteless. Etheir the food have no sauce or it was swimming in soupe. I spent so much am highly dissapointing. I feel scammed. Not worth the money. You can find better cheaper!!!

It was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I'm surprised with their enormous portion of food! None of the Korean restaurants in Montreal offer this huge portion of yangnyum chicken and they even packed enough pickled nreddish! Not only that they also kindly put some candies for desert as well. Food was really delicious. Highly recommended!

Great food, great and friendly service. Happy to make adjustments for food allergies. The meals were a bit light on meat, but came with soup and salad, even in the evening. Unfortunately, on our second visit, we were charged extra for having to replace beef by chicken due to an allergy (the beef is pre-marinated). Hence I had to deduct a star.

Absolutely great Korean restaurant. Dishes were very authentic and super tasty. Portions are actually pretty huge so be careful when ordering. I order my standard Korean dishes and I ended up with quite more than I thought. The seafood pancake is awesome, it’s very thick compared to other places, but nice and crisp! Service was helpful, friendly and quick. One of my go to Korean restaurants, truly great!

Been going here for years and it's always amazing. A bit expensive but keep in mind all meals come with soup, salad and side dishes (banchan). The seafood pancake is unbeatable. I also highly recommend the dolsot kimchi bibimbap with beef. Also make reservations if you're gonna go on a Friday/Saturday night, since there's really no where to wait for a table, so they'll just refuse you :(

Absolutely my favourite Korean restaurant in the city. They don't have the most extensive menu, or the fanciest decor (albeit it's calming and homely in a way). But the food is excellent, the staff (family run) is super nice and caring, and there are two things they do that I haven't seen anywhere else. One, whereas a place like Ganadara stopped outright serving banchan, here not only is it a full set but if you're running low she'll ask you if you want more and will give you a refill, no charge. Two, it's BYOW. And that includes soju. Instead of paying restaurant price of 20$, you bring your own bottle and get smashed on the cheap while enjoying delicious homecooked food!

I've eaten at about 5 different Korean restos in Montreal, and I liked this place best of all for service and quality. I had the "bibimbap" and it was very nice. A large bowl of rice covered with marinated beef, sliced fresh mushrooms, cucumbers and salad. The price was reasonable and the service impeccable.

Ohmygosh so good! We just got this for delivery on a whim because I was too tired to cook and everything was so tasty! Best mandu I've ever had and their vegetable pancake is to die for, the bread is so thick and chewy and the vegetables are so fresh! Amazing! And the portion sizes are so big and so well priced! I should come with Korean friend to order more authentic food like tofu stew soup with rice. Instead I order lunch set, they have six options, one of them is vegetarian, other five is grilled/terriyaki chicken, beef.. can't remember they have pork or not. The appetizer is good, have four different varieties. The lunch set is healthy, no white rice come with it, low carbs, but come with bean spouts instead of white rice. And ice cream dessert on the top right side. It is enough for lunch, not overeat.

Just had the vegetarian lunch special. FANTASTIC. I'd go out of my way to come to this place again. $13 and a huge portion. There was nothing about this I didn't like other than it was hard to eat but that was my fault, I got take out because it was closing shortly and ate it on a bench. They did pack it very well though it was just a big operation to not eat on a table. If you like Korean food this is a must try.

Just finished lunch. Not sure who’s writing the reviews but they clearly don’t eat out much in Montreal. Staff was sweet and helpful but the food was SUPER average. Heavy sauces, over salted, bimbimap served in a plastic bowl.. not impressed. Wish I had a better experience and was able to offer a better review..

Best and most authentic Korean restaurant I've ever been in Montreal. They serve you the typical Korean appetizer for free, and the bibimbap had crispy cheese and rice on the sides, like it should.

Second time i am going there. I had the kimchi soup. Perfect! Their kimchi is soooo good, with a hint of sour taste. The tofu in the soup was so smooth and silky! And the pork was very nicely marinated! The soup was perfectly seasoned, spicy but tasty, still not overpowering the pork! And the service was very attentive as well! And it is byow!!! And they are opened at lunch!!! And in the evening they are opened late!!! Will definitely go back again and again! Oh, i forgot about the rice! Sooo tasty! And i'm not even supposed to be eating rice! But i could not help myself!

I wanted to try this place for a very long time and finally ordered something there. It was amazing! The general tao chicken was crunchy, juicy, warm and excellent! The mozzarella kimchi rice was also very good. I don’t see why people say it’s bad I think it’s because they just don’t like Korean food. The workers clearly know what they’re doing and the food is typically Korean and they don’t have anything to change. Or maybe it happened that you went there at the wrong time. But in all seriousness it’s delicious!

Saw the reviews and had to try. The staff is friendly, the portions of food are enormous, and lastly everything ordered was nicely packaged. I ordered the Jajangmyeon, and their Veggie Pancake (which I wish included some more greens). They included some extra sides free of charge (pickled veggies, kimchi). Overall, the Jajangmyeon was amazing and I will definitely be recommending this place. When I return in the future I must try their Korean Rice Pogos, I'm quite sad I didn't get to try this time around.

We actually went out to try another Korean resto but it was full and we didn't have reservations so we left and Google brought us here. We showed up Saturday evening around 6 PM, the place wasn't too full but the 3 empty tables had "reserved" name plates on them. Luckily the kind waitress gave us a table that had been reserved for someone else an hour later (provided we were out before). Service was quick, the food tasted fresh and flavorful and the portion sizes were good. Price was very fair, I can't really complain about anything. It was a good thing the other resto was booked! I'll be returning.

Please note I am not a food snob, but I do live in New York City where the large Korean population demands authentic Korean cuisine, and I noticed the difference. Perhaps it's the French-Canadian influence? a bit saltier than what I am used to, and ... capers on stir fry? don't get me wrong, I love capers & enjoyed the flavor, it's just not very Korean. Finally, the place does need an interior design face lift - if nothing else, please do something with the bare walls of the corner bar, it will lift the ambiance considerably!

The quality and service of the food at La Maison Seoul has always been consistently good. The owners are also very kind and friendly. Of all their dishes that I have tried over the last five years (unagi, kalbi, bibimbap, mandu), the dishes I am least fond of are the cold noodle dishes that they offer in the warmer summer months. I think this is just a question of personal preference, as I am not particularly fond of noodle of the cold, more dense variety. Also, Hwangkum in NDG, offers a better Korean pancake (more texture, color, and taste). Still, I would definitely recommend La Maison Seoul for great, home-style Korean food.

Absolutely a gem of a place, and the price for what you get is unbelievable! I ordered the unagi donbury and it came in a steaming stone bowl, very cool. They will serve you a salad and then a number of small dishes (not sure what all of them were, all I know is their kimchi is super good) then after that the plate you ordered. I went there 3 times. The first 2 were really good as the restaurant was not too crowded and the quality of the food is excellent. However, when I went there the 3rd time to celebrate a friend's birthday, the restaurant was crowded. Food tastes good as usual, but then all my friends and I got diarrhea and stomachache afterwards,... which was really unexpected and disappointing. I have an overall good impression for this family restaurant but was deceived after the 3rd time. I even called to notice them about it but there was no apologizes whatsoever... disappointing, I will not come back.

Authentic Korean comfort food! Not a huge selection, but always able to find something yummy to eat. Satisfying. One of my favourite places! Today I took jjajangmyeon, noodles with fried pork in black bean sauce.

Really amazing seafood pajeon. Best. In. Town. Highly recommend their bulgogi (great marinade) as well as their black bean noodles. Super friendly staff. Always served us with a smile (pre covid; didn’t eat in since a while :(). Takeout/delivery is very well packed. Generous portions and high quality fresh ingredients.

We had takeout from here. Bibimbap and chicken teriyaki. The bibimbap was not bad, maybe not the best choice for a takeout dish. The chicken teriyaki was the worst I have ever eaten. No flavour, bare chicken. It came with miso soup, salad and some other bits, all of which were nice.

And their half cheese and sausage pogo and just huge and very original. Great service and the open kitchen allows you to see them cooking which is super nice and you can see that everything is very clean. A great discovery, we will return and we will discover it. Et leur pogo moitié fromage et saucisse et juste énorme et très original. Super service et la cuisine ouverte permet de les voir cuisiner ce qui est super sympa et on voit que tout est très propre. Une belle découverte, on y retournera et on le fera découvrir.
