Punjab Delights is a gem. All vegetarian, all really delicious and good value. I usually have the Tali which is the daily plate comes with choice of bread. The samosas are really good and you can't beat 2 for $1. Best Indian restaurant in the area, plus they are super friendly.

I've been a customer here for more than 12 years. Hands down the best Indian food I've had outside of India, PLUS extremely reasonably priced. I'm not even vegetarian, but this is literally the only place I will go for Indian food in Montreal. I don't have a car anymore but I rent one for an hour just so I can go pick up my takeout!

First thing I would like to mention just like other reviews is that the girl on the counter is super efficient and nice. Best Indian food we've had since we came to Montreal last year. I'm reserving my one star because I would love to see this place become better and I've got 2 suggestions for you. Although these points won't stop me from coming back again. *You definitely can improve on the ambience of your place. *Lassi was too thin (ofcourse you know better about the real texture of lassi in India but im not sure if we can achieve it here in Canadian weather?i'm not sure but I miss authentic lassi.)

Very bad experience today in a restaurant called punjab in lassalle. They serve left over food from other plates to new customer. In our plate we got vegetables curry which was mixed with rice. Friends avoid such places.

It is probably the best restaurant in South Montreal. The food is great, delicious, plus portions and generously sized. We have found amazing selection of vegetarian meals. The best part is there guys follow high standards, use only appropriate ingredients, and of course no meat or fish, everything is clean. Most of recepies are well-known in Indian cuisine. However, Punjab Delight adds their own unique twist to any meal, that makes them especially delicious. I am highly recommending this restaurant.

It was my first time here this week. The food tasted amazing and was fresh. I had the tali with lentils and beans and rice , salad and the potato meadly. I also enjoy the deserts (Gulab jamun) and the coconut ball. The price is another aspect. It is beyond affordable, Keep up the good work guys!

Been here a couple of times now. One of the best punjab restaurants I've been to anywhere. Tons of options for vegetarians and vegans. Family - owned, warm and thoughtful service. The daily lunch special is always delicious and very, very reasonably priced. Fresh naan and great tea. The owner's daughter, Priya, is one of the friendliest waitresses you're ever going to meet. If I lived closer, I'd definitely be a regular here.

I just tried this restaurant for the first time today. I was served by a very kind and helpful woman named Priada (I hope I remembered the pronunciation of her name correctly ??). The food was absolutely excellent. I ordered a very nice Thali meal, a mixed vegetable curry, naan, and some very delicious desserts. The food and the friendly conversation were absolutely wonderful. I definitely recommend this restaurant and I will be going back!

I went there today with my co worker and ate lunch. Service was awesome. Girl at front was so active smiling and quick service. Even after serving food she was on top of us asking if anything else we need. She offered everything tea desert. I was amazed from the service and food was not bad at the cost we paid. We had lunch and tea all with first class service just in $20. Good luck I will come back for sure.

I was really excited to try this place! The employee who answered the phone for our takeout order was professional and courteous. She was welcoming upon pickup and the order was ready and hot. We ordered Aloo mattar, navrattan korma, dal tarka and couple of entrees. The main ingredient in the aloo mattar and navrattan korma was cauliflower - huge chunks and very little of anything else. Personally, I detest cauliflower and choose to avoid any meals with it. I was extremely disappointed as the menu I found online indicated that either meals I chose had cauliflower. Overall the flavour of the food was good, bearing in mind the unfortunate ingredient. I would try it again, however only in-house to be able to ask for suggestions.

Take out - I have always enjoyed an Indian meal. But this meal was horrible. All the food was tasteless, unimaginable for Indian, but true. Everything had the same watery texture and the different foods were hardly distinguishable. I’ve been to India and this has nothing to do with their amazing cuisine. Shameful.

Great indian restaurant, Channa Bhatura was amazing .They were very busy during Diwali with a crazy lineup for sweets and the most amazing thing about this restaurant was that they still gave an amazing service and didn't let the clients feel like if they couldn't give the service due to the crazy rush, A1 service. One thing i would say is that although the food is incredibly delightfully delicious , the atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful but i would suggest slight upgrade or renovation. Went here last night for the first time and the food is tasty ! I ate the thali of the day ( they change everyday WOW) and a mango lassi which was delight like Punjab Delight .Staff is very friendly. The only comment I have is that they need to update the restaurant theme. Will definitely be back for more delicious food and great service.

If you're not familiar with the type of cuisine, it's a little hard to order because there is no description next to the name of the dish. Example if you don't know what aloo Gobi, or palak paneer are, it's a bit tough. But great service, the lady behind the counter was super sweet and helpful. The food I ordered was DELICIOUS! I loved the cauliflower dish, so good! Even reheated 2 days later as leftovers it was delicious.

I had the thali of the day and their new pani puri on Friday. All i could say is YUM YUM YUM ! The water balls leave a wonderful taste that you just want more and more ! Plus they are so light ! The food was amazing and had also an amazing service by Priya and her brother. This is a diamond family restaurant. They only negative is the environment/vibe, its so old , color is dark and boring , would definitely say ugly from the outside ( vibe ) beautiful from the inside ( food ). Try them out , will say that food and service is A +. 5 stars only because this is the best indian restaurant in montreal despite the look of the restaurant!
