Excellent service, delicious and very flavourful food, and homemade quality. You couldn't ask for more, right? Maybe warmer pasta and more sauce, but that's all that was missing. We highly recommend this place for a casual dining experience. You will not be disappointed.

Came on a Monday with family to celebrate anniversary. Surprisingly huge food portions, had to take them home. Pasta was good. Service was quick - there were only two other people there for dinner at that time. Only qualm was that the owner seemed to "hover" around us. Kept talking to us. It's nice if the owner wants to say hello but he should know to let us have our family dinner. Good place though. Will come back when in town.

I don't usually like to eat pasta, but I really enjoyed the food here. The noodles are made fresh, the bread is made fresh, the sauces are fresh. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome. The owner greeted us, took our order, and chatted with us. The personal touch made all the difference. Also a big plus, the men's washroom was sparkling clean.

When people make a reservation and come in for the reservation and your sitting people without a reservation beforehand, very unprofessional. Shouldn't make people who took the time of day to make one wait. Either set up enough tables for reservations or don't take them at all, or don't seat the people without reservations first.

Went with friends for a birthday dinner. Cozy restaurant with friendly staff. My omni friends seemed to have enjoyed their meals. I will, on the other hand, not be returning. The only vegan food served at this restaurant is a side of vegetables, no rice because the rice is not vegan, no sauce because the sauce is not vegan, no bread because the bread is not vegan, pasta and pizza crust also not vegan. Waiter was friendly and tried to accommodate me as best he could. Then my bill came and I was charged $18 for a "stir fry" and I left the restaurant hungry. I don't recommend this restaurant for vegans. There are so many great restaurants in the area with fantastic vegan options and some even have a separate vegan menu. The economist and Forbes both declared 2019 the year of veganism, this restaurant, unfortunately, is staying behind.

Every time I come in here they recognize me and the wife comes to give me a hug and says “hello, my beautiful girl.” I used to come here so much they had my order memorized, and after covid settles down I plan on doing that again. This is the best Italian restaurant in town, they make fresh pasta here and I cannot recommend it enough. The family that owns this place really cares and tries hard for their customers.

Really good restaurant, food is good and EVERYTHING is home made, manager treated us really kind, and offered a free appetizer for the wait (yeah, that is why give them 4 stars), and waiters were really patient explaining the specials and catches of the day. Food was great, but service was all over the place, when we arrived we were not offered drinks or provided any real information who was our server. I flagged someone down to get drinks finally but did takes some time. The Service was not as good as i remember the last few times i was there. Overall, GREAT food and as a long as you are ok flagging down a server, then you will have a great time!! Server are very friendly and very knowledgeable.

We got here at noon without reservation on a weekday. The very first thing that stands out is the friendly and welcoming staff. The person who welcomed us seemed like the owner and was also the person who took our order and gave us recommendations on our meal. Their specialty is their fresh and hand-made pasta and bread. We ordered “Garlic Bread with Cheese” and “bruschetta” for appetizer. They both were fresh and had great taste. For entrée, we ordered “Daily Pasta (Shrimp pasta with Broccoli and cream sauce)”, “Sausage Pepperonata” pasta, “271west Shrimp Pasta” with added salmon and chicken, and “Ricotta Gnocchi” pasta. They were all served with 2 slices of fresh-toasted garlic bread, made in-house, alongside with fresh parmesan and black pepper. Our food tasted absolutely amazing. The pasta sauce was creamy; great combination and amount of spices were used. I would consider it on my top 5 pasta places in Canada. The pictures on social media represent small servings, but the food will absolutely fill you up. The added garlic bread is somehow relevant. The restaurant is cozy, with Italian vibe; the wait staff and host were attentive and provided a nice experience that was a great addition to the great quality meal. It is my favorite restaurant in Kitchener, specially my favorite Italian restaurant; I would definitely come back! Their COVID-19 plan is well-performed and it would be a great time to order food from them to support local businesses.

Amazing food. The pasta of the day was delicious (chicken and bacon with an Alfredo sauce). It's not a great place to go if you're trying to cut calories, but if not, fantastic food. The atmosphere is good too, quaint and quiet.

Very delicious! I ALWAYS get the Salmon Spaghetti. Their handmade noodles are like no other place, I crave this place biweekly. Very good service, not only does our waiter/waitress get up on us, even the owners come and check and that is very heart warming. They are very passionate owners of this famous run restaurant. Little bit of a wait so have a slight snack/don't come while you're completely famished! Thank you for your services :)

Ridiculously good, handmade pasta. Will ruin storebought dried pasta for you. Great ambience, and really nice servers who dont bother you continuously through your meal (but keep an eye on your table very well so you dont need to ask for water or anything). Great place for a date night. Highly recommend the spinach dip and the Salmon spaghetti.

Great food as usual. Seems to attract and older crowd. I highly recommend the glazed camembert appetizer. All the pastas have the same homemade taste and texture, the garlic bread that comes with it is amazing. Creme brulee is on point.

Amazing night, my girlfriend and I went to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't have been more pleased with my experience. We both couldn't pass up the authentic handmade pasta, nor the spinach dip. Bread was perfect Italian bread, not too crunchy but not to overdressed to hide imperfections. Just easy simple bread. Pasta was phenomenal, never had gnocchi this good. Cream sauce was a perfect compliment, not to mention missing without a trace from my plate after eating. Absolutely would go back and recommend for any date night.

This place is great. Our food was delicious I went with a work group for lunch. I ordered the Philly Cheese steak wrap with fries and it was the perfect amount of food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. Our waiter was a treat too. Great sense of humor. I know my co-workers and I intend to hit this place up again soon.

The food is good, but overpriced for what it is. Staff were very nice. The decor could use improving though. Sitting at the window was drafty (I was there in the winter) and it was unappealing visually. Extension cords were hanging loose at the entrance and the business hours were hung in an old cheap frame. Was expecting a much better experience.

Food Is Excellent and Service is Fantastic. how ever they have no Baby changing tables in their restaurant at all and no place to change a baby. My wife took my baby girl to the restaurant and had to change her on the floor outside of the bathroom on a mate that we bring. When a staff saw her they just gave her a weird look and did not advised her if there was anywhere she could change the baby. Like said food is Excellent and service that we have had is excellent but that one experience kind of turn us off the restaurant.

This place just became my new favourite restaurant. From the minute we walked in the staff was friendly and welcoming. You could tell the owner takes a lot of pride in his restaurant and cares about his customers. The food was amazing and so fresh - everything made in house daily. My boyfriend and I love this restaurant! We've been a few times now and we always feel so welcome. They offer lots of veggie options, the Gnocchi is definitely my favourite. A nice atmosphere and even nicer people, I would highly recommend.

It was good, but not great. I got the beef penne pasta in a cream sauce and my wife got the ravioli in tomato sauce. The sauces were delicious, but the pasta was a little under cooked. The service was nice, but not terribly attentive. We had multiple waiters for our table and noticed the table beside us had the same problem. This ended up culminating in their table having 3 waiters ask if they needed anything else and meanwhile our table wasn't visited by a waiter till we asked for the bill. Not huge deal breakers, but it's definitely not as great as I thought it was going to be.

I have lunched at 271 West a couple of times. This is a descent place for a business lunch if you work in DTK area. Their pastas are freshly made their sauces are quite rich. The place is not cheap but not very expensive either. The service is quite pleasant and helpful.

Delicious Italian food made from scratch. You can customize most of the pasta dishes in a very open ended way with different sauces or extras. The basil pesto tomato sauce was the winner tonight. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Try the creme brule and you won't be disappointed.

It was our first time here so we ordered based off of recommendations in the reviews and ordered the cheesy garlic bread and gnocci. The gnocci was amazing but unfortunately I didn't realize they used wine in it. When we called they offered to make us another one without the white wine and I thought that was really nice of them. Will definitely be back and will remember to let them know no alcohol for me!

I cannot day enough nice things about 271West. My friend and I popped in for dinner from a google recommendation. The staff was so lovely, it felt like being welcomed into a family. We picked this place at random on our way to a concert. The prices were reasonable and the food was excellent. Service was good and they offered to make substitutions if needed. The restaurant boasts homemade pastas and pizzas. We had two different pizzas and both were delicious. We will definately return. It is recommended to make a reservation but they were able to accomodate us without one.

On a recent visit to see family, we were told this IS the place to go for good Italian fare...and, boy! Did we hit a jackpot or what!? Awesome place, excellent food and superb staff! Thats just the summary. Our server Dan was really cool and took great care of us. Recommended some excellent choices in wine and food selection. They make all of the pasta and bake the breads fresh onsite and were amazing! Started off with appetizers which were lip smacking good - Cheesy Garlic Bread, Spinach/Feta dip & Bruschetta. Paired it with a Bordeaux. Next came the entrees - 271 West Vege spaghetti was loaded with fresh veggies and fresh made spaghetti, Ravioli di ricotta e spinach and the crowning glory was the Ricotta Gnocchi! I kid you not, never had such flavorful Gnocchi ever! Finally came the desserts - Creme Brulee, slow baked cheese cake and the flour less chocolate cake with walnuts and ice cream! We were 6 and polished off everything! Loved the place, ambience and the overall experience. Its now our go to next time we are in the area!

The staff was incredibly nice, but the food seemed really over priced for the amount and quality. $40 for a steak the size of my hand and mashed potatoe and vegetables, Steak wasn't seasoned and was on the rare side when I asked for a medium rare. I'd have to say the free water was my highlight of the meal

Best fresh pasta I've had in eons!! We came here closeish to closing and they graciously accommodated us. I had...I forget the name but the shrimp pasta with a blush sauce. The texture of the pasta was absolutely amazing!! I originally thought the mushrooms were undercooked at sight but they were the perfect texture to compliment the dish. But beyond all they were gracious, the owner funny and we weren't rushed at any point. So happy this is where we dined tonight!

Each time we have arrived to a warm and friendly greeting, received timely and professional service at our table, and delicious meals which you can tell have been made from scratch and with care. The owners go out of their way to ensure each and every guest received personalized attention, right down to holding the door open as they leave with a friendly invitation to return again. I absolutely love this restaurant and recommend it to everyone who comes looking for great places to eat in Kitchener.

The pasta here was probably some of the most delicious pasta I've ever had. The spinach dip was delicious, and the service was superb! Way beyond what we've received at other similar upscale restaurants. The ambiance is relaxing and comforting. It is clear the owners take great pride in their work, and when a slight problem arose with one of our drinks, it was immediately noticed by the owner and his wife, and the drink was immediately and apologetically replaced. This is a gem in KWand everyone should go there if they have the opportunity!

Such a wonderful experience. The waiters there are very warm and the ambiance of the place is second to none. The key thing in restaurants inevitably is the food however and their dishes are on point! All their pastas are handmade onsite and you can tell the difference. I'd recommend their ricotta gnocchi or the fettuccine alfredo. Both are TO DIE FOR

To find a location that offers fresh handmade pasta is amazing. The sauces are full of flavours.. proteins done perfectly and the Cesar salad has the perfect blend of garlic. Great wine selection... if you are looking for Italian..European...this is a must do. This has the feel of a family run location with complete pride of ownership and attention to detail. I ordered pickup this evening for my wife's birthday dinner. We had two great salads, a wonderful shared appetizer, and two perfectly cooked pasta dishes. We finished the meal with two small cheesecakes that were out of this world. All of our food came packed in earth-friendly containers, with the hot items in one paper bag and the chilled items in a separate bag. The meal was the highlight of my wife's day - and mine!

The manager Zee treated us so professionally and he is such a kind man. We had a very pleasant chat with him after the meal. Most places you never even see the manager! We went here a couple of weeks ago and everything from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out was absolutely delightful. The wine was smooth and amazing, the food even more so (the chicken & shrimp linguine is to die for!), and the service is so friendly and welcoming. I love the vibes and environment of the restaurant, with it's low lighting and calming music. The pricing varies from $11-40 with main dishes like steak being on the more expensive side, but I still think there's something for everyone! We'll be coming back for sure :)

Great food and a lovely atmosphere - the inside of the place is beautiful. The staff were lovely both times we visited. The outside area was nice and spacious, but the inside offers the best experience. Food was fantastic and served in a timely manner. Freshly made pasta is a big plus. Service was excellent and personal, and is worth +1 star alone. The sauce/flavours are samey, and do not stand out in particular, but are enjoyable nonetheless. Would recommend going for lunch if you just want to try the pasta, as the prices go up about ~$7 for dinner (in exchange, a larger a menu). Lunch is around $15+ an entree, and dinner at $22+. Wouldn't recommend the garlic bread, which is dense and too heavy for the portion.

We went for dinner on a Friday night and ordered the linguini and ravioli pastas. They were delicious and i felt that the service was very good. Also, their homemade breads were amazing. We had them with the spinach dip, and both the dip and breads were very tasty. We look forward to going there back again.

This has been our favourite restaurant for years in KW. Family owned and operated, this gem has an array of homemade foods, but you will quickly have a favourite! Support local and family owned. You will not be disappointed! Servings are sizeable, pastas have enough for a lunch the next day if you also order an app or salad. Love the camembert appetizer or an extra garlicky caesar salad. The pastas are better than most Italian restaurants

My good friend and I went for a double birthday dinner to celebrate ourselves turning another year older. We were not disappointed. We have been to 271 West before and have had a great dining experience. Last night it changed my opinion of the service that 271 West provides. We made a reservation for 8:15 and arrived a few minutes late (8:25) but not without a call to let them know that we were running behind. With that call we were told not to worry they were running about 10 minutes behind. Upon arriving there were five other couples in line, in front of us. After waiting for half an hour and the couple in front of us with an 8:30 reservation got seated before us, we were escorted upstairs. This is where we thought we were going to be seated, in a very unappealing area with decor much like a banquet hall. After observing the frustration between staff members we were told again we had to wait and left to stand there. We decided that we'd leave just realizing that if they were that busy and that behind that most likely the kitchen preparation would be just as busy and we were hungry and didn't want to wait longer... I understand Valentine's is busy...but that experience left much to be desired. Not to mention the ATTITUDE of the staff when we politely explained we were leaving!!!!!

Went here for the first time after hearing all the positive reviews online and from friends. It didn't disappoint. Quick service and meals came quickly and were amazing. Left with a smile on our faces and would recommend without a doubt. Here's the cool thing...My wife dropped her gloves out onto the road near the restaurant when I dropped her off and thought she lost them. I called the restaurant when we got home, to see if they could locate them. The owner (I believe) had his son go outside to check and he found them! What does that tell you about how they treat their customers!! Love this place. Thanks so much.

Lovely little restaurant right down town Kitchener. We started with the shrimp on toast appetizer which was very good. I had the pasta special of the night which was chicken, fresh veggies and your choice of sauce and noodles. It was fresh and delicious and the portion was perfect (enough to being home!). Apparently, most nights you can completely customize you're pasta dish. My friend ordered the pizza, which she enjoyed though it was on the smaller side. I would have given 5 star, but the service was very scattered. We never knew who was our actual server as several people came by at different times. The owner (I believe) came to our table to tell is the specials. He seems to very much care about you having a nice experience. A little frustrating when people who came after us got served first. I think if they organized their service better the staff would be friendlier and less stressed feeling. We made a reservation, probably a good idea on most nights. I would go again as the food was priced well and was very good! Bon appetit!

Ambiance is relaxing and trendy with a rustic diy feel to it. Fresh pasta choices and a good menu variety. Menu is balanced, marked with a vegetarian and gluten free option. Glad to see the variety in an Italian restaurant. Soup was delicious and hearty. Tomato based with vegetables and salmon. Well flavoured with a good balance of veg vs salmon. Pasta is made in-house and freshly cooked. I had the “ravioloni di ricotta e spinaci” it was al dente as it should be. The ravioli was a good balance of filling, texture and consistency. Delicious. The location is clean and taken care of. I would have preferred service to check up on me during my meal and take my soup bowl away while having my meal, especially since the restaurant was quiet in the afternoon. All and all a good meal, I will definitely come back, it’s worth a stop when in KDT!

We chose to go here for New Years Eve dinner because of all the great reviews. It was AMAZING. Everything we had was jaw dropping delicious - the garlic bread and spinach dip appetizers, and the handmade ravioli and the rose linguine...our waiter said that someone comes in every day and handmakes the ravioli and gnocchi for about five or six hours. It was clear he wasn't exaggerating! This is our new favorite restaurant!!

271West is a great place for celebrations or just when you want to have the best Italian food in the area. I made a reservation, which is recommended specially on a weeknight. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The food is AMAZING. We had salmon and gnocchi and they were so flavourful and absolutely delicious. Best salmon in KW area and the gnocchi hit all the right spots as the perfect polished comfort food. For dessert we had their Creme brûlée which was light and the brûléed top was thin and crisp, just perfect. Our server suggested the chocolate cake, it’s dark chocolate and pairs perfectly with the vanilla icecream. 10/10 will come again

I had entirely given up on ordering pasta from restaurants because I've always been disappointed. However, this place completely shattered my thoughts on pasta from restaurants. Their homemade pasta is absolutely superb (had the 271 shrimp pasta) and our party of four also got the glazed camembert appetizer and it was heavenly. Should have ordered two or more! Would recommend dressing slightly smarter than normal but didn't feel completely out of place in my dusty rose T-shirt & jeans. 11/10. I love this place.

It has a thin crispy layer outside and the inside still remain the tender and smooth texture of salmon, not like many other places that makes salmon taste like chicken. My fiancé and I went on a bit of an impromptu walk around dtk and we stopped at 271 West for dinner. I had heard pretty good reviews about it but nothing that made me want to go out and experience its entirety. I can't stress this enough, it was one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever encountered. My fiancé and I are pretty big foodies and love to eat at local restaurants and this restaurant is the best we've have here in kitchener. Not only did I almost cry while eating the chicken champignon, the service was incredible and the environment was so welcoming! The pastas are made in house and so unbelievably tasty! I've found my favourite dish and we've agreed that this is our go to place from now on.

You MUST try the gnocchi...almost a week after having it, I am still thinking about how delicious it was! The menu says all of their pastas are handmade too! I recommend making a reservation if you are going on a Saturday for dinner (not sure how busy it is on Fridays) as the seating is fairly limited. The atmosphere was great, and the owner put in that personal touch by coming to our table to check that we were enjoying our meal. This place is a hidden gem!

So I had the lovely accident of stumbling upon this place with my bf when we had wanted to go for all u can eat sushi. Now as sushi lovers, we were really craving some all u can eat. Too busy for us, so we decided to just come here for dinner. Surprise surprise, the owner and staff were the loveliest I have ever had the privilege of getting served by. I own a restaurant myself, so I know how it works, and they went above and beyond. The food itself was something to rave for and the service just for the lovely wine selections was nothing but sweet and lovely. To have the owner serve you and give you his time and expertise in his own food and drink selection, is a treat in of itself. Went here on a whim, and it proved to be the best decision we have made since buying that sliced bread! The glazed camembert was devoured seconds after it hit the table. A blood feud may have developed over who got the last bite. If you are eating here for the first time you have to order their handmade pasta, made in house, it's not something that should be missed. If you're not too full from their generous portion sizes you must finish the night with a velvety smooth decadent creme brulee. While the food might be exquisite, it is only enhanced by the great ambiance and detailed service from the staff. Truly a hidden gem in downtown Kitchener!

First time customers. No rez. We were looking for a place to eat downtown. Staff were friendly and accommodating. A very masculine vibe and restaurant. Food was really great and made from scratch. We highly recommend the Camenbert!! We'd drive a long way for that any day! Great pasta and seafood was cooked perfectly. Sauces were so creamy. Kitchen had the food out in perfect timing. I recommend the Boca Negra cake for dessert. Very light and rich. The raspberry drip paired perfectly! The lack of a 5th star was that there were really long gaps when we wanted to order apps, clear our plates, or order another drink and dessert. This could be a European thing or just the type of dining experience; we were a bit confused on whether it was upscale dining or casual, but the waiters were very nice and we felt relaxed. Lastly, we expected higher end spirits from a place like this. Beefeater Gin and Captain Morgan Rum are pretty basic, but we know it's all about the food. The Wine list was great! We recommend this place if you want to try somewhere new or a great authentic Italian food. NOTE: sadly, homeless people and addicts are present in DTK. Parking is also difficult to find. We recommend getting dropped off in an uber or taxi.

We shared the spinach dip... hot, creamy, delicious. We each had the salmon champingon...10/10... perfectly seasoned, perfect temperature, gorgeous presentation. This is an outstanding restaurant. Ate at 271 West on New Year's eve - the food was great. A couple of suggestions - the plastic water spotted water pitcher was out of place for the otherwise lovely meal. Also, the waiter was not particularly attentive - asked once if we wanted anything else then we had to ask him for the bill. He was very busy - it seemed he was the only waiter although there were others delivering food to other tables.

If you're looking for kind service and great homemade pasta, I'd highly recommend 271West. I'm not a food expert, but their pasta seems so light but filling, and tastes like a great homemade recipe. The glazed camembert is a bit rich, but also delicious. I'm usually a big fan of their pasta of the day, and you have the option to switch sauce and types of pasta around for any (?) dish. We were given a gift card to this restaurant so we booked a reservation on a Friday night to enjoy a date night out. We made a reservation in advance and quickly seated at a table for two. We were greeted warmly, had our coats taken and hung and were told about the specials.

We had our 35th wedding anniversary dinner there and everything was perfect from the front door greeting to the meals to exit pleasantries. It's not often owners go out of their way to show their appreciation. Went for a business meeting. There service was excellent and very professional. We were given a gift card to this restaurant so we booked a reservation on a Friday night to enjoy a date night out. We made a reservation in advance and quickly seated at a table for two. We were greeted warmly, had our coats taken and hung and were told about the specials. There is no waiting for service at this restaurant, as the servers are ready to help out any table at any time. The menu had great options and we found ourselves wanting to try a bit of everything. We ordered salads, garlic bread and two pasta dishes as well as dessert. Everything was made from scratch, came out timely and hot and was absolutely delicious. I found myself smiling while I ate! We didn't feel rushed in any way and could tell that many of the people dining there had been there before based on the easy conversation flowing around the restaurant with the family who owned it. We have been searching for a restaurant with affordable Italian cuisine and we will absolutely be back. We both agreed that this will be our regular date spot. It is ranked #1 on this site for a reason! If you want to have a great experience AND great food, you are going to want to try this restaurant.

Service was fast and atmosphere is nice. My partner got the gnocchi which was really good! However, I got the linguine puttanesca which seemed to be just linguine in tomato sauce sprinkled with capers and olives, so that was disappointing especially for $19. Overall, good experience.

We decided to come here on Monday because we had forgotten that La Cucina is closed on Mondays. Truthfully it was a bit of a let down. The service was pleasant and quick. The bruschetta was delicious but our meals weren't anything amazing, I found them a bit disappointing for how much they cost.

The customer service is amazing. I came here when I was 6 months pregnant and there was a short wait so I took off my jacket. When the owner saw I was pregnant she quickly rushed to have a chair brought to me so I could sit down. The food was also very delicious and pasta is made from scratch. Would give 0 stars if possible. The management was incredibly entitled, and felt like it was ok to patronize our table and make a scene because we came "only" for drinks and dessert. When we voiced our frustration at how we were treated we were given an even worse attitude and asked to leave. Incredibly unprofessional.

The fresh pasta made on the premises was excellent. I wanted to order the special pasta of the day but hesitated because of the cream sauce.Our server suggested alternative sauces to accomodate my food allergy. He was very helpful. The food was delivered in a timely manner. Other lunches at our table included ravioli and gnocchi. Both made fresh today. Everyone raved about the freshness and flavours. We sat for several hours and never felt rushed. Definitely will return.

Wow - the food! Wow - the kind service! Family run. The baked cheesecake is to die for - the best I have ever had! It is surprisingly airy and light; the flavours are perfection! The warm spinach dip is wonderful! I had the Ricotta Gnocchi as well; the leftovers the next day were incredible. The young male server was kind and thoughtful. I am dreaming of that cheesecake! Don't miss this one!! When I come back, I will definitely have the cheesecake and spinach dip. The pasta is made fresh there. The place was completely full - no surprise considering how good the food is!

We ate at 217 West for the 1st time (certainly not the last!) last night and the owner couldn't have been more accommodating as we didn't have a reservation. We had gone down the street somewhere else 1st and found them to be a bit rude as we didn't have a reservation there either - we left and choose not to wait. The food was excellent as well! Two of us had the special of the day Chicken Alfredo w/broccoli, zucchini & cauliflower. It was so good! And one of us had the deluxe pizza which was also wonderful! Our server, Decan, had a lot of personality and took great care of us too. Highly recommend this restaurant~

This is a fabulous restaurant. The owners really care about their food as well as the customer experience and stopped by our table to share some great advice. Just had dinner here. This is an honest review! I had shrimp & scallop pasta...I've eaten better food out of a box! The garlic bread was Weston's. Husband had chicken & broccoli with pasta special, the same. The owner is a big talker. Go somewhere else! Overpriced too. Merlot wine was excellent!

Also most if not all the pasta dishes are completely customizable, so yummy, great service, and the creme brulee was to die for. Went at 730 pm on a Monday felt bad assumed they'd be dead and annoyed we came. I could not have been more wrong. The place was full, the owner greeted us with a warm reception. We got a bottle of wine and the best camambert app I've had to date. The pizza was excellent and the chicken perfect. I can't believe I've waited so long to come here. Can't wait to come back.

Food was abysmal as the Pesto penne was actually quite gross. Puddle of grease from the beef or the sauce in the bottom of the dish. On top of the poor food, the service was absolutely terrible. Couldn't seat us at the time of our reservation, food took over 45 minutes to be served, and no one checked in to see if the food was any good at all. Don't expect good service unless you're a regular. 2/10 wouldn't recommend.

Best place ever for pasta in Town. The owner Z is the best guy ever and always gives me extra noodles and all kinds of customization free of charge. The food is AMAZING. All the pasta, sauce, vegetables and bread are all made in house IN THE MORNING of the day. It is the freshest food and you will DEFINITELY be able to taste it. I recommend the daily pasta, it doesn’t matter what sauce or ingredients they put in, it is always AMAZING. I’ve been here 100s of times and it has NEVER disappointed. If you like crispy pizza, this is the place to go. I personally don't like it when my pizza tastes more like a cracker than a pizza with a nice slightly doughy crust. I had the pizza prosciutto and it hardly had any toppings as well. I was disappointed to say the least especially since the server said that the dough was made in house. I went for the company, not the food.

I arrived with my friend not knowing much about the restaurant. We had 4 others joining us at a very busy time on Friday night and hadn't made a reservation. Poor planning on our part. We were welcomed in as we waited for the rest of our group and they tried to get a table for us. Thankfully our group was late and we waited a bit more so we could have a table. All of their staff members were incredibly kind and welcoming and they even offered us an appetizer to share on the house. It was our fault for failing to make a reservation but they still treated us with utmost respect, gratitude and kindness. The staff alone are a reason to return! The food was fantastic as well. The textures and flavor profiles were exquisite! So grateful for this incredible experience and looking forward to going again in the future! Be sure to make a reservation (especially with slightly larger groups as the restaurant is smaller), but you're in for a treat--both dining and hospitality!!

I tried 271West off of a recommendation from a friend. I wasn't sure what to expect but let me tell you I am really pleased with not only how amazing the food was (it was delish!) but I haven't had such amazing service in a while at a restaurant. When I called to place my order, the owner was so friendly and helpful. I have a nut allergy, and a couple of dishes have pesto in them, he told me he could make each dish with fresh pesto that didn't have pine nuts in them. When I arrived for the takeout, they had separated the hot food from the cold, and had the bruschetta as an assembly kit so it wouldn't go soggy! Little details like these for me are what makes exceptional service in my mind! Plus they were just so friendly and welcoming to make my meal perfect. I highly recommend the 271west shrimp pasta, cheesecake, spinach dip, and the glazed camembert. All amazing! Cannot wait till I can dine in here!!!

We were coming from out of town for an event and were looking for a quick bite to eat. We came across this place. We weren't sure what to expect but we're pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Their homemade pastas are really excellent. I would definitely go back . The staff were very pleasant, friendly and respectful without being annoying and intrusive. Great place!!!

I have been to the 271 twice now and they never seem to disappoint the owner is an amazing hosts. I had ordered the sausage pepperontta and my fiance ordered the daily pasta and we both had a glass of pelee island, pinot grigio, VQA white wine

I went there with my daughter and husband. The gnocchi was her favourite dish...she never eats pasta. We had the salmon, which was delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing fresh food, perfect serving sizes, beautiful quiet relaxed atmosphere. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Brought my 2 year old daughter and though they did not have a kids menu they were very accommodating to make her something small and simple but she just got a pizza off the regular menu and loved it! Best dining experience ive ever had, will absolutely recommend to friends and family and will be back in the future!

This is a pretty good restaurant. The server was very careful my gluten allergy and they have a decent sized menu for the gluten free. One drawback is the parking, which is quite difficult to find in downtown. I was fortunate to locate a space nearby, but that was due to luck. Quality of food for their chicken was pretty good. Desert was as well.

Our server was very personable, attentive and accommodating. There were no complaints about making a few substitutions. The menu centered heavily on pasta but it was still something for everyone. One of our party arrived late (we had already ordered) and they turned their food around very fast. The decor is nice and the restaurant seemed very clean. You could tell the food was made from scratch and not something just warmed up in the back.

Food was amazing! Homemade pasta and bread was delicious. My husband and I shared two appetizers with another couple. I had two drinks and he had one , we got a main and shared a dessert and it was all under $100!! A steal for the quality of food. Will comeback forsure!

Great food went at lunch prices are reasonable. Had the homemade ravioli which was delicious. If you are on a time constraint at lunch you may want to speed them up

We ordered dinner for New Year's Eve. I was surprised the restaurant was open until 9 pm that day (pick-up only due to COVID restrictions). I called ahead of time to have our dinner picked up at 8:30 pm. My husband was running late and the owner was patiently waiting with our order ready at 8:55 pm. Once we opened the to-go boxes at home, we were pleasantly surprised with the way things were carefully packed to be able to serve nicely on a plate. The desserts were even packed the way they are served at the restaurant! The food was exquisite, still warm when it arrived. We ordered dinner and desserts for 5, and everyone absolutely loved their food. I highly recommend this place and would definitely go back. Thank you for an amazing New Year's Eve dinner!

I went here for the pizza it was the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. They had a lot of options to choose from and I couldn’t decide between 2 pizzas, so after we got the one they recommended the owner also made the other pizza free of charge just so I could enjoy both of them. Very lovely place with caring people helping you have the best pizza. If you haven’t checked it out make sure you do I promise you won’t regret it.
