Great food and view! Service was a bit slow.

Richard Bowlby

Tuna poke and calamari was excellent. Stay away from Chicken breast not worth it there nothing to eat in it for 30$

What a great place Aqua Terra is. The staff are all very friendly, but still professional. The food is excellent every time we visit, no matter what we order! A special thanks to Emily and April for making my last visit one to remember.

Love going to Aqua Terra for dinner. Food was excellent as was the service. Will visit again.

AquaTerra is a must if your visiting Kingston. Excellent service and by far amazing food! We had the Dinner Prix Fixe Menu for $45 located inside the Delta Hotel with a great water view. For starters the scallops was delicious ???? and for the mains we had the the blacken salmon & the buttermilk fried chicken. The food was on point and our server was great! 5+ Star we will be coming back soon.

I have had breakfast here in the past but this was the first dinner. The atmosphere is nice, as you overlook the water. The server was great. There when you needed him, friendly, and quick. The food was delicious. It is on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for.

Penny Brown

Every visit is first rate. Food quality, presentation, professional friendly staff. This was my first opportunity to enjoy the patio .. lovely setting, excellent pandemic protocols.

Two and a half years ago I would have rated this restaurant 10 stars as they provided my hubby and I with one of the best anniversary meals that we had ever had! Sadly this last experience was not great. Our server was amazing, but the food was just meh. Maybe they were short staffed in the kitchen or the usual chef was away that day, but either way we left disappointed...

Great experience! Connor provided awesome service and the cocktails were delicious. The manager popped by and was also incredibly friendly. Will be back!

The amuse bouch was a special treat. Great service too.

Great view despite the dreary grey, fun to watch the ships pass by, fabulous brunch, and friendly staff. Seems we're unlucky with staff recently, our servers have all seemed inexperienced. The cod was well cooked and had a lovely texture, without a strong brine-y taste. The cole slaw was amazing, and the tar tar was perfectly seasoned. The continental breakfast was not what I expected and I wish they had a wider variety of "Pastries" for it. The choices are 2 mini Croissants, or Danishes, which I would have liked to have seen on the menu, personally. Overall, I enjoyed the place, but the continental is a little disappointing.

Everything was delicuous, from the breakfast to dinner!! My favourite was the beef, pancakes and Creme brulee for room service from aqau terra, quick delivery and excellent …

Loved every bite, morsel that hit my tongue. Excellent service, presentation, quality. We had the shrimp, tuna poke and the two steak dinners for mains. Couldn't have asked for a better evening out on a patio. Looking forward to our next visit.

Rylleigh was an amazing server and made great recommendations. The catch of the day was delicious and my husband enjoyed the ribeye . Yummy drinks and overall great service. We will definitely come back for another nice meal.

Karina Rosales

We just went here for dinner and the food was absolutely delicious! The service was fantastic and they are very accommodating for anyone with food sensitivities or allergies. The view was also spectacular as we watched the downpour of rain turn into a double rainbow! We had the scallops as a starter and the lemon tart as a dessert! This restaurant definitely was a highlight on our trip here!

We had reserved an outside table for lunch on the August Saturday. Took some for our delightful server Meg to show up. When she arrived she was awesome. Everything went the wrong way from there. The menus were laminated and had crossed out about 5 items with a black magic marker through the item! How unprofessional is that!? And the “Catch of the Day” was the Seafood Tower at $150.00! NOT!!! Not a single gram of atmosphere with tables too big, grass growing out of every crack and no music. The menu items were over priced and we were not inspired at all. Even the walkway from inside to downstairs was filthy and hasnt been pressure washed in a decade! BRUTAL!!!!! Drank one beverage did left, not up to a Delta Standard or not up to a standard that this experience “could have been”! ???????????????????? Meg was awesome however!

Michelle

Only had lunches there so far, food has been excellent with reasonable pricing. Some dishes are little inconsistent such as the butter poached shrimps. One day it's mild and tender, another day it can be spicy and overly rich. The fish feature of the day is fresh and well executed.

We bought the New Year's take-home dinner. It was *outstanding*! A little pricey, but it hit the mark 100%. Thank you!!

First time at that restaurant, and I liked it. We wanted to try to patio menu, but unfortunately, it was full and ended eating in the dinner and it was nice. The food was delicious and the service was good. Next time I visit Kingston I'm going back for a brunch

Great service by hostess but location isn't anything special. Just some tables by the Marina. $70 Lobster was delivered Luke warm. Sorta disappointed.

Pricey. $30 for cocktail shrimp appetizer that they only needed to defrost? Ordered steak medium well and got medium rare, same with lamb. Food was okay. Not worth $100+ bill in my opinion. View is beautiful and server was friendly though.

Julia Sokol

Very good food and fair prices. Staff are accommodating and quick to serve. Also conviennent inside of the hotel. Overall would recommend for breakfast if in the area. Also have a nice few.

Our server James is awesome highly recommend him very knowledgeable I had the prime rib cooked perfectly, the garnishes were awesome as well, we started off with Caesar salad was very good, and we had the pork belly which was awesome my …

Most of the food here was delicious, the lobster linguini was a bit bland, however, I'm still giving 5 stars because everything else was perfect. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, the view was gorgeous and the overall experience was lovely. If you plan to book private dining, I say go for it!

Cassie Wright

This use to be our go to restaurant for a fine meal. Very disappointed , we use to give them a five star, where did their chef go????? Big sigh.

Tara Whalen

This review really only speaks to the brunch, and it was one of the best decisions I made on a bright Sunday morning. Got to try the pork belly special and the chicken-and-waffles inspired eggs Benedict, and both were spectacular. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the dishes are well seasoned, and it was the best pick-me-up for the day. I will admit that the portion size could be a bit better based on the price you're paying, but the taste of the food really doesn't deter me from giving this place a five star review. If you're in the area, or want a really good weekend brunch, this is a spot in Kingston that you need to be. Follow @foodpharaoh on Instagram for more food!

Great experience, we ate here celebrating our anniversary. Food was nicely presented, hot and fresh. Arctic char was a bit skimpy for the price but prepared perfectly. Service was great as well.

Amazing, tasty, high quality creative food. Very pleased with everything. I ordered the Lobster Roll, Watermelon & Feta Salad, and Calamari. Would definitely eat here again

Had a great salad! The staff was attentive and the view is lovely. The holiday menu also looked pretty interesting.

Karina Madill

Just OK. Firstly, we weren't given a table outdoors on the patio which was a little surprising since we had made a reservation. Our server was friendly and helpful. The steak was amazing but the potato on the side was extremely bland and had zero seasoning. The veggies that accompanied the duck were great but the duck itself was very chewy. Overall, some things were great and others were a big miss. We expected better for the price.

Andrew Reid

Amazing food. Excellent vegan options.

Hamed Fathiannasab

Food was delicious but the portion was small though. Staff were professional and friendly.

Took my mum here for birthday dessert. The new manager is the best. So kind and friendly. The staff is amazing too.

No comment for the food. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try it. (Below only for my personal experience, hope nobody will have same experience like me.) My friend and I we booked the reservation for two people from website at 11:00 am Sunday morning. We was so exciting to have brunch in the AquaTerra and we gave up our hotel's breakfast in order to eat. After a waitress who has long hair with ponytail helped us to check in and asked our information then leaded us the seat in the patio . When we sat down we saw the menu all for lunch like burger, steak.... such a heavy food for our first meal. We asked her, did you have brunch right now and showed the website and She said, Oh that one only for "INSIDE". Then we said, is it possible to change to inside? She replied us and said We don't serve brunch in the patio if you want you might have to check with someone inside. We asked her patio and inside belonged to different departments? Server said, we are the same restaurant but kitchen's system can not serve patio.... We asked her would you able to check the seat for us? She left. At the same time i heard our next table gonna move to indoor and the other server asked them to bring their own water. We was thinking oh everyone wants to have brunch. When our server came back i though she gonna lead us to inside but she just said there didn't have any seat right now. We were so shocked... First, we made the reservation then we can not choose what we want to eat? Second, when she checked our reservation she should ask us first right? even we want to seat in patio or inside... then what's the point for her to be the host.. Third, such a good reputation restaurant doesn't have any waiting list for customer? Last, from in the beginning to the end her attitude like we owned her like if we want to eat then order if we don't want then go.. I am really disappointed to write down this comment. It was the only bad things for my trip in Kingston.

Marzieh Eskandari-Shahraki

Server named Conner was awesome, efficient and friendly. Food was fantastic and picture perfect.

Very limited menu on the patio. Slow slow service from the waiter. Food was no different than going to a pub. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

A very delicious dinner and very good service. I had the RIB EYE it was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place if you are visiting Kingston ont.

We had our birthday dinner in mid-December. Great food, great service and great view. The lamb was perfectly cooked and very tender. But the food portion is too small for the price

During the first week of July my partner and I had lunch at Aqua Terra. We both decided to try the lobster rolls. What a mistake! The lobster meat served was either a day or two old and/or overcooked and/or both. It was dry and tasted rather fishy. We expected the lobster meat to be in a mayonnaise based dressing as is usually the case with this dish. Instead the bread on which the meat was served was very thinly coated with mayonnaise. The only upside to this experience was our server who was absolutely lovely. The next day we ate lobster rolls at another restaurant close by. They got it right at $4 less!! We did complain to the hotel and only received a form letter in response. We expected better from the Delta! Very disappointing....

Aqua terra PATIO was really bad. Tourist trap. Fake poke bol. High price. Bad service.

It was my first time there. Service was pretty slow. We ordered 2 steaks. One medium and 1 medium well. Safe to say neither was cooked the way we wanted it. On top of that the server dropped one of the steaks. I asked for something other then French fries and was told no. After asking again I was told I could have a garden salad which was the tiniest salad I ever saw. It consisted of 2 grape tomatoes and a few strands of mixed greens. ( about 8-10 leaves). I asked for balsamic dressing but was told no they make a different dressing. I couldn’t help but laugh when my food was brought to me. Oh and for the other steak that was ordered with French fries which were good because they were hand cut a strange white substance was provided for dipping. (Don’t recommend it). I think a lot of people go here for the view because the boats and waterfront are right infront of you.

Trent Humphrey

Great spot for an outdoor lunch, we loved the outdoor covered patio. My Mom and I enjoyed the lobster rolls - they were delicious! Great service, everyone was very kind and helpful.

Tricia Haslam

Amazing service and great tasting food! And to top it all off, amazing view while you eat! Highly recommended!

Richard Day

Very good food and great staff

K “Kiki” S

Our expectations from all the 5 star reviews was not what we experienced when having lunch on the patio. Staff were great. View was OK. Food was underwhelming. We ordered the steak and lobster roll. Started with oysters. Oysters were great. Everything else lacked taste. Maybe we come on a bad day? Lobster was dry, lacked the freshness of the price point. Steak was tough. French fries were the best. Nice place for a drink.

Dale Bryce

Went here for breakfast with the family during the labour day weekend. The food was really good, we all enjoyed it and the service was great. Didn't catch our server's name but she was awesome. She was very friendly and quick to serve us.

The eggs benny were great! Good service and nice view of Lake Ontario ????????

Nathalie Nault

Excellent food located in the Delta hotel on the waterfront. The prices are high but the restaurant is generally quiet and peaceful.

Drongo V

My husband and I went there for a light dinner after driving in from Ottawa. We each ordered the lobster roll. It consisted of a small hot dog bun with a table spoon of lobster meat accompanied by a fist full of stale soggy potato chips and a small spoonful of Coleslaw. I had a non alcoholic drink and he had a beer. The bill came to $97.38. We left the restaurant hungry and very disappointed. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

J Hu

Price to food quality , service and location is great. The 45 fixed Prix is great. Kids meal reasonably priced which helps if you want to add in some appetizers. The price for drinks are reasonable. Worth the trip. The scallops were amazing. The sweetness of the scallops and saltiness of the hash is great. The seafood cakes were so-so. A little bland and mushy. Avoid it. The octopus was an add on and was amazing. Soft and tender with the right amount of flavors and well paired with the Kale salad. The pork tenderloin was good and so was the Moroccan chicken. Desert was good too. Service 4.5 Food 5 Atmosphere 4.5 Price 4

Perri Droke

Delicious as always. We ordered the Patio burgers for two and the Korean chicken for two because it was such an amazing deal. Perfect portion sizes. We will be coming back!!

Donna Travis

I really wanted to love the seafood tower but for $150 you get a few snow crab legs, large but flavourless shrimp, the lobster was decent but tough and the muscles were tiny.My husband had the French onion soup and said it was the best he has ever had.

We ordered the take-out Valentines Tasting Menu and it was fantastic. Short-rib was tender and tasty, and the entire menu was delicious. The prepare at home instructions were clear and easy. Hope to do this again ..... what a great idea!

We had dined at Aqua Terra before and never had an issue. However, this morning we took our family of six for a breakfast and we were quite disappointed at the service we got, specifically from our waiter. He was not overly rude but just gave us a very cold feeling. It was as if he was not completely awake yet this morning. First of all, he never introduced himself. He barely spoke to us with any extra words other than what would you like to drink and what can I get you today, etc. His voice was so weak, hard to hear, as if he was speaking to himself. Secondly, after we ordered our coffees, he literally dropped off a jar of coffee to share and six empty glasses, but never poured us any coffee, not even the first cup! I understand that breakfast is quite casual here compared to dinner but I was still shocked in a nice restuarant like this, I was expected to pour my own first cup of coffee and to tip at a higher percentage! Additionally, the food came all at once but there were no cutlery. I believe the other food runner actually was the one who notice it.. so we waited a bit for that. Lastly, he came over and checked on us a few times but was in such a hurry that I couldn't catch him to ask for more cream and milk (not mention that he failed to notice it and it should be obvious since 6 of us all shared one small jar of cream and one milk). I had to try to catch him when he was approaching again and quickly asked before he left again. We were not angry but just disappointed that the experience was not great and we did have a higher expectation from here. We still tipped 20% because we liked our food and the view. We were happy about the seating arrangement as requested. And we actually got a way warmer greeting from our receptionist at the front desk. I can tell her smiling under her mask. We didn't want one inexperienced waiter to ruin the effort of the whole hospitality team. We will come back again but finger crossed not to be served by the same waiter...

Great food! Great patio! Would have been a 5 star review but there is nothing worse than being the only people there and having to stand up and find your server.

Tracy-Lyn Bootle

Love the food.... the atmosphere... the service. Class act ????

Food was delicious. I had tuna and it was prepared to perfection. Had the special which was salmon also cooked properly wasn't overcooked. There was a hiccup with our reservation and we each got a cocktail on the house which I was very impressed with will be going back soon.

I had the most amazing time on the patio of aqua terra. Came here about a year ago and had the best time so when I came back to Kingston for a visit I knew I had to stop in. From the moment we got to the outside patio everyone was so welcoming and kind, the manager (Ian ?) was so accommodating for us and our pooch Riley, he brought out water and made sure she was taken care of. Then our server Allie came to the table and it turns out she is the same amazing server that served us last year and she remembered us and even our order!! She truly made our night with some great recommendations and lots of laughs! The kitchen was incredible and even the other server Zack all made sure we had a great time! What a wonderful team of people! Also the patio went through a nice change up in decor and vibe it feels really chic in the evening with the lighting and flowers. I recommend everyone to come here for the views, the food and the great service! We’ll be back soon!

Michelle Dawney

Last Sunday my friend and I approached the hostess of the outdoor patio at 4:15. There were 3 women who walked up ahead of us. They were seated after a few minutes. There were many empty tables. WE were told we needed a reservation. We asked how long the wait would be and she said the 4:30-5:00 crowd with reservations would be there shortly. We stopped back at 5:15 and said we were still in need of a table. There were SEVEN empty tables. A couple walked up just ahead of us and were seated. Once again we were told we needed a reservation. We asked the couple if they had a reservation since they were just seated and they said “no.” We confronted the manager and after arguing with us, they spent 5-10 minutes trying to figure out how to seat us. They announced they had a table. We said to never mind. They must not have liked our masks? ????‍♀️ Lol Their process doesn’t work.

Very peaceful and enjoyable experience. Staff was over the top friendly. The place could use a little more "updates" I feel for the price it should be over the top fancy! Another thing that was a little annoying (my OCD) was the windows were filthy but just from the outside... made it hard to view the lake.

David Di Sano

Very lively place with beautiful view to the lake. Food is really good and staff are very friendly. Highly recommended.

Kevin Touchbourne

Aquaterra ( patio) gave me no choice but to leave a horrible review. Visited patio this evening. Horrible service. Horrible everything. Absolutely ruined our evening . The waiter didn’t even bring us any water! Gave us menus to choose our food from but only an hour later announced that the menus they gave us were wrong and we couldn’t order anything from there - it was restaurant menu not the patio. Appetizers came an hour after we ordered, apparently our order was missed , as the waiter said. We asked to turn on a heater - waiter promised it will be done in no time, but no one ever came to turn it on. I asked to speak with the manager, an individual claiming to be such showed up at the table but I honestly doubt it was manager as this person had absolutely no customer service skills or any motivation to resolve the issue. In a monotone disengaged and unmotivated tone of voice he made us feel horrible and ensured we will never come back to that place again. He said he could, however , in order to rectify the issue, take off 1 appetizer off our bill ! What an act of generosity:))))

Dawn Sephton

We ate on the patio the first week restaurants were allowed to after this past lockdown. Such a great dining experience! Stellar service. Delicious food and drink. Perfect views. Zerena and Rileigh made us feel so welcome and doted on, and the entire staff were beyond prepared for everything. Loved it all, can't wait to go back!

My wife and I had an outstanding experience at AquaTerra during a stay at the Delta in Kingston, ON. Very friendly and accommodating staff, all of whom we interacted with went above and beyond to ensure our experience was the best and most convenient. One example, during work trips my wife preferes to pick up her coffee ahead of time instead of using the hotel room coffee maker in the morning. She's always on the go, so It's quicker and more convenient for her, she simply reheats it in the microwave. It was our first evening in the hotel and we hadn't yet figured out the coffee situation. Some hotels have carafes set up in certain areas but we hadn't seen anything like that, so she had asked our server the question while we sat waiting for drinks and he informed us that there is a Starbucks counter in the lobby where we can buy a coffee. Immediately after telling us this he said, "I'll go get you one. Large, regular, cream and sugar?" So he heads off to get her coffee and returns with it, no charge. He simply said, "It's on me." Another example is the special consideration given to our vegetarian diet. We don't consume egg or dairy products either so we often ask to have certain menu items modified. In this case we had stopped by the host to request a menu and told him we were vegetarian and just wanted to see what options there were. He brought us a menu so we could look. We made reservations for the following evening and sat down for some drinks. Satisfied that there were enough salad and vegetable options on the menu we put the whole thing out of mind. After being seated the next night our server, April, took our drink order and told us that the chef would be out shortly to discuss vegan food options for our meal. That was quite a pleasant surprise! A few minutes later executive sous chef Greg Hogan stopped by our table with some wonderful ideas for a custom created dinner plan just for us, including an appetizer, soups, salads and main course. This is by far the best dining experience we've ever had and plan on returning to AquaTerra on future visits to the Kingston area. I highly recommended AquaTerra, and the Delta is a very nice hotel too. Beautiful location to watch loons fishing near Battery Park. Kingston is a great little walking town with lots of shops as well as other unique pubs and nightspots to visit.
