I love going to the OG. I'm a big fan of the soup and bread sticks, it makes it so that you don't need to order a separate appetizer. The food is pretty consistent, and the quality is good. It's probably not the most authentic Italian place, but it's still a nice treat once in a while.

Overpriced/undervalue 'temporary' menu. Completely bare table - not even a paper placemat. Not at all a warm or comfortable atmosphere because restrictions have superseded humanity. Our waitress did her best to be cheery and available and deserves to be separate from this otherwise disappointing review. You can be cautious and hospitable at the same time. I hope THAT will be the new normal. Be better, Olive Garden.

Just a heads up they don’t take in person take out orders. I was told to phone my order to them or order online and wait in the parking lot. Online system was nice though knew how long the wait was before ordering ! Which was way too long to stand in a parking lot waiting for soup lol.

Went yesterday for the endless pasta bowls, the new creamy spinach and artichoke pasta is unbelievable! Definitely my new favourite. Breadsticks were also very good. Salad was not the best, the veggies were tasting a little off but not losing any stars for that since things happen and that's the first time EVER that the salad didn't taste good. Service was great. Unfortunately, already going back this weekend cause I can't get enough of the new pasta, I'm hooked =(

Service was great. Almost everything was great. The spacing to in the restaurant was more than enough to make me feel safe... the even the flavors of the appetizers our table ordered wad as always. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the portion of my meal. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Margherita... we visited the restaurant and the menus did not have pictures... after trying to remember the name of the meal I had I visited the website to find the attached pictures... I literally got less that half of that, if that even. It was one pretty sad looking small chicken breast which was most definitely sliced in half to make the two pieces of chicken (the waitress was new so I don't blame her but she said it was two chicken breasts). The dish also had and I kid you not two yes two cherry tomatoes also sliced in half to make a total of four pieces of tomato and maybe and I mean "maybe" half that amount of broccoli. No where near that amount of cheese or sauce. If I saw this picture before ordering I would most definitely have taken a picture of my meal to show a comparison of the two. I'm not the type of guy to send food back. I just leave an honest review and will try to remember that the next time I visit the Olive Garden. See.... I mean the Olive Garden staff prepared and served the plate I got. Other staff members also saw that portion.... They all felt it was good enough since it to make its way to our table. Like I said earlier the overall experience was a positive one just that was disappointed with the volume of food.

We frequent the Olive Garden as a family often. My mother and I made our way there today for lunch with my 3 kids, my Neice and Nephew who is a baby. There was 6 of us to seat, we were told my nephew ( baby) made us 7. The only way they would sit us is if they split us up at different table on opposite sides of the restaurant. We were not even in the front door before we were told this. So 5 children under the age of 13 and two adults could not sit together. We had no issue getting into Montanas all together. We would have been ok with two tables close to each other, we were prepared for that, but opposite sides of the restaurant was a bit concerning.

Excellent - absolutely loved every thing tonight - the greeter at the door was very welcoming - had a reservation and was seated immediately - our server vanessa was great - she was quick and friendly - one of my family members got cold chicken and she replaced it within minutes - she was great at being our server - it was my 60th birthday and I was very pleased with the way she handled our table of six - would definitely recommend this restaurant as a two thumbs up - way to go olive garden - awesome team work !! ???????????????? vanessa L you deserve a raise (SERIOUSLY) way to go ????

We went to this location on a saturday...found out they use a limited menu? Only during the week can you get a greater selection(crazy right). Our server was really excellent and of course the soup and salad always good. The goodness ends here...mushroom stuffed ravioli was way under cooked. Parm-breaded zucchini slices raw??? Chicken parm was cold and cream pasta yuck. The food was taken off the bill...but a nice lunch ruined.

I always order the chicken alfredo pasta dish, it is by far my favorite. They also have such great lemonades and fancy drinks. I like the peach lemonade I think it is. It is a nice place for dates, me and my boyfriend come here every year for our anniversary! The atmosphere is very calm, and chill. It can be a casual place, but also dressed up, it totally depends on your occasion. The service is wonderful. All the servers are so kind! And are also willing to explain the menu if needed!

Recently went to Olive Garden for dinner. The food was amazing, our waitress was also great. My complaint is how the restaurant has decided to add seating in the lounge area. It is right by the door to come in, everyone can see you and its extremely cold. I can understand wanting to add seating to a restaurant, however, I think it should be asked if you are wanting to sit in the lounge or not. Sitting in the front like that was awkward and cold. Not my favorite visit to Olive Garden.

Terrible service, never returning. Server (Isabel) was trying to push our party out when it wasn't busy, brought the bill without asking if we wanted desert or anything else (we did). Took 10 min to get a desert menu, 15 min to get the desert order that was to go. Another 15 min to get the bill in between we saw her talking about us to some other employees. And then another 10 min to pay for our bills. I don't usually take to the internet to complain but this was a little out of hand.

We were 3, at least one third of our party would roast OG if asked. She waited 30 minutes for a drink she ordered only to be told that the bar lacked a certain ingredient, before she was given an opportunity to select something else. Other complaints included a weak waiter who if new, should have been coached more, a senior floor staff (possible manager) gossiping and laughing within earshot when it was clear to us there was work to be done. Another guest probably would have ordered a drink but again the waiter had poor table rapport. One diner asked about Gluten free pasta none was available.

August 15/21. All restrictions have been lifted in Manitoba and yet, this restaurant forced my party,including two elderly, to wait outside in high heat (near thirty degrees) for our table and refused to let us wait in the foyer even though the dining room was empty and our table was clean. When I asked the hostess to reconsider and let us in, she wouldn't even discuss it with me and after we were finally let in, her manager came to our table, embarrassed me infront of my party and accused me of being rude to the hostess for telling her that I wasn't happy about waiting outside and forced us all to leave. What customer service representative can't handle negative feed back? Where do they get the right to treat customers with such disrespect. This is a horrible establishment and the staff should really reconsider weather or not they belong in customer service.

Gluten free options are few. Like 6 items. Alfrado sauce(not gluten free) is pre packaged sauce not made from scratch. Servers have lied in the past about what is or isnt gluten free leading me to become ill.

It's been years since you could trust their portions. This last visit they couldn't even get the salad right. Wilted slimy lettuce mixed in with fresh. Freshness of the bell peppers were questionable too. Been five years since I'd been there due to dwindling portions, will be another 5 or more before I risk another visit. 20 years ago when first married this was our place. Would go once a month or more. What's happened to them is sad. Edit: Olive Garden, corporate I'm assuming, did contact me. Wanting to know more. I elaborated for them. They responded by providing the local restaurants, I'm making some assumptions here, management contact number. At this time I haven't been inclined to call.

The exact same as every other Olive Garden. So I'll offer some Olive Garden hacks/tips instead of a long review. The wait tends to be quite long during peak times so go to their website and add yourself to the cue before you leave home. Or, just order take out online and pick up in the restaurant. When you order take out, each meal gets a salad large enough for two which is great for left overs. You can usually find a $5 off coupon online as well. Enjoy!

Arrived at a busy peak time with a couple of in laws and was helped quickly. Although our appetizers were very very late and our food was even later. Ordered curbside pick-up using mobile app. Staff came out to the car as soon as pulled up, and were prompt and friendly. Process was very easy, was ready at specified time. Spaghetti with meat sauce & meatballs were great, perfectly cooked, tender, flavourful. Pasta e fagioli soup very nice. I love the salad, and the serving was generous, however there were only 2 olives, 2 small slices of tomatoes, and 2 peppers - that seems very skimpy to have one olive/tomato when sharing! They offer the ability to leave out items in salad, it would be nice to have more if desired. Breadsticks with dipping sauce - breadsticks good as usual, however marinara sauce was the worst I have ever had, it tasted like thick acidic tomato paste straight out of a can, completely inedible. I have eaten the sauce before and was not really impressed but this time is was really awful. I would order again using the app.

We went as a foursome. The server was extremely friendly and smiled all the time. He offered us a taste of wine, which is something I've never seen before. He was not hurried. He came later and told us he was going off shift and introduced the next server - which is something i've never seen before. She was as friendly as he was. The food arrived and was hot and delicious. We picked the Tour of Italy, a portion of three different foods. It was such a large amount we bought only one meal for the two of us. They serve rolls and salad or soup with the meal and it filled us up so we did not take a dessert. Parking was ample and the washroom clean. We were treated like royalty, so I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a true experience in an excellent restaurant for a reasonable price.

We celebrated a birthday with family recently at the Olive Garden in Transcona. The service by Derek was absolutely flawless. He would be the reason we would go back. He has a calm personality, really knowledgeable of the menu, overall friendly and attentive. Service in my opinion goes a long way in a dinning experience!! The food was just okay and quite pricey, so for that reason I would not go back for dinner. Likely will go back for lunch; soup and salad.

We came here for our 2nd anniversary dinner at 7:30 pm on Saturday which was ruined. Very disappointed. The area we were seated in had 4 tables and 2 of those had dirty dishes on them from the previous customers and were not cleared during the whole time we were there. Not great when that's your view of the restaurant at all times. The calamari was oversalted and overcooked. The server asked to replace it and we said no. We both got the Tour of Italy and the portion sizes were extremely small. Much less compared to the last time we were there! And the costs of the meals for what you get were extremely overpriced. The money we spent on this terrible meal could have gotten us prime rib at Baileys--why so overpriced??? We know where to go instead next time. We got the bill and were given another appetizer of salty calamari to go (that we said no to in the first place) which we left behind. Not impressed at all. Definitely has gone downhill, not returning.

I was so disappointed. Craving Zuppa Toscana and salad. I ordered for pickup. Service was friendly but the salad tasted terrible, nothing like eating in. I am a complete glutton for their salad and breadsticks, which is always you undoing because when the main entree arrives, I'm already full. Went with my family of 7 for lunch today we were told we were unable to sit together because we had 7 people and the limit to be sat was 6 people together okay fine there is two additional tables near by that were available to sit at we asked for them to be sat there so we could be near by but following social distancing we are then told two of us must be sat in a completely different area of the restaurant the provincial limit is 8 per table in a restaurant due to covid 19 but okay then they sit a couple in the same section of us but refused to sit our family members at that table ..... the reason my family members two senior citizens were not aloud to be sat there was because apparently we would get up to go talk to them, we are all adults no one will be getting up during lunch if you explained to them that you can’t do that if you would like to sit near each other. Needless to say poor customer service I understand and respect the covid 19 situation but that was over done and I don’t plan to return. Very disappointed let’s just say went to stellas and were easily accommodated and welcomed with open arms to sit as a family of 7 still following Manitoba’s covid 19 laws. Btw the manager of the Olive Garden wasn’t even wearing the face mask correctly which means you are not following the correct guidelines if you can’t even wear a mask properly!

The endless soup, salad, and pasta was good. The only part about it i did not enjoy was the porportions they bring out are so small they try to get you to fill up on bread. She ordered the pint of soup that suggests it will feed 2 people and the pint of salad which is supposed to feed 2 people. 59.00 later she gets home with what Olive Garden suggested would feed 4 people and this would feed one person. Insane. If all four of us ate soup, salad and breadsticks when the restaurant was open, it would have cost is 60.00. We literally got what one person would eat at the restaurant for take out. I'll NEVER order from here. Way to gouge during a pandemic Olive Garden. It's really not showing support but ripping people off!

Not a terrible experience but my 6 oz. steak and fettuccine left much to be desired. The steak was tough, over done and had no flavor, like zero flavor. It was like chewing on cardboard. I ended up loading it up with a bunch of pepper and a some salt. We had a big table and it was busy so it was understandable that things would take time. But our waitress seems to disappear into the ethereal plane leaving several of our table members dying in the Sahara waiting for drink refills. It wasn't until she went on break and the waitress covering her took over that things got taken care of. The relief waitress deserves a medal for how efficient she was. Overall, it was a hit or miss with each dish so this location isn't 1 star but imo it's not a place I'm willing to go back to. The Portage location was on point.

I am changing my review to one star. We have a family of eight. We are in the same house together constantly and we wanted to eat together. I could understand if they put us at tables across from each other to split us up, but they insisted that we had to sit across the restaurant from each other so that we couldn't even communicate. There is no point to eating out if our family is being split up. We are in the same house together! I will not give Olive Garden my business, and highly recommend that any family of over 6 people stay far away and go to another restaurant where one can actually be a family and eat together. We went to Mongos Grill instead, at least they would seat us close enough where we could actually talk to each other. This experience has permanently stained Olive Garden's reputation in my eyes. They obviously not a family restaurant anymore and I will be changing my and my family's regular eating location as a result.

I've ordered a takeout to enjoy a nice picnic in the park with my kids.I've ordered two dishes. One of the dishes was COLD - they said we should warm it at home and wouldn't warm it for us in the restaurant. Then I've asked for a couple more forks and knives ( we received only one set) and they ran out. Bottom line, we were stuck with no forks and cold food. We were very disappointed by the service.

Tuesday we arrived as a family for lunch. Anna was awesome with everyone. Felt super bad that we didn't call ahead for a party of 8. Nonetheless, lunch was really good. Anna recommended the eggplant sandwich for the vegetarians in the family and they we super pumped. One bun was over toasted, no worries as she handled that rapidly with the chefs. Olive Garden it is always tasty. They bring you bread sticks and salad or soup with an entree. The glasses and cutlery we had was dirty on my birthday. The entree portion was small too and they must have put our cake that my father brought in the freezer cause the custard inside the cake froze and my cake was ruined-chomping on birthday cake with icy custard is no fun. I made a mess of it on my plate to make it look that I attempted to eat it. Frozen custard tastes terrible. Service was okay as the waitress was busy. At least I had a stiff drink with my meal to make the night better. It is a popular chain restaurant and you can expect the standard fare.

I had the lunch sandwich which was completely tasteless and lacking the used a pita type bread and ther was nothing on it. Along with some yucky pasta. A lunch with amazing friends! We have been here many many times,and have been disappointed perhaps 2x. This time was not one of them. The decor has changed and is as inviting as always. The staff are friendly courteous and very helpful . The young lady serving is was exceptional and so very helpful. She was patient with us as we needed to catch up before ordering. Once the order was taken she remained attentive to our needs. Food was awesome,as usual, served at the right times refills when needed . As requested, more about our visit. It was on Remembrance Day, so there was a long wait; however, when we went in more than half the restaurant was empty. Having worked in restaurants in past, I'm confident this is because servers had not been phased on yet, but it's incumbent on management to ensure staffing levels meet requirement (especially when you're offering free dinner to military and vets). The service was very slow and our server was very overwhelmed even though he only had 3 tables. We ordered our usual favourites, but they sauce was flavourless and we didn't enjoy it. Overall not a good experience, but gave 3 stars as we've had good experiences before.

We got sat right away which was nice. Service was quick for drinks and our opening soup, salad and bread sticks. Despite the restaurant but being very busy, we waited about a half an hour for two simple pasta dishes. When they finally did arrive they were just okay at best. Both dishes were luke warm at best and nice was definitely lacking seasoning. I only ate about half my dish and did not take the rest home. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but had room for improvements.

Go for lunch on a weekday and they'll offer you a glass of wine to try! Ask for a specialized menu, and they'll provide it. It's usually packed full, but if you're okay to sit down for a bit, you'll likely enjoy your meal. Unless of course you order the cheaper lunch choices. You'll get a kid-sized portion.

Online menu was easy to navigate, I was able to choose a specific pick up time and no credit card info was needed on the website. I used curbside pickup, was easily able to find the designated spots, and before I had hardly come to a stop, someone was approaching my vehicle to get my name. They brought over my order, took payment and I was on my way home not 2 minutes after arriving. Food was very good and plentiful enough to have some again the following day. I go here during Never-Ending Pasta Bowl several times during the event. This place always has excellent food and service. Come expecting a very specific type of cuisine and you will not be disappointed. This is probably one of the MOST consistently good restaurants in the city. What gets them extra credit is their ability to this for large groups. I have been here with groups up to 20 and the experience has been excellent each time. Make sure you call ahead and book. They allow reservations for Friday and Saturday nights now.

I've been going to this restaurant since 2007 and every time I go my favorite dish to order is the cheese ravioli dish. It used to be amazing, it had that light sweet cheese taste inside the pasta I used to enjoy it when I eat it. few months ago we went to oliv garden and as usual I ordered my cheese ravioli I noticed something different in The Taste. the taste was blend I did not enjoy it at all, and then when I talked to the waitress and I asked her for the reason why does it taste different this time she said she checked with the chef and the chef told her that they have changed the recipe 6 months ago. All I can say is shame on you Olive Garden for changing the recipe for the most delicious dish you ever had. Its too bad you lost one loyal customer that will not show up at your restaurant at all. Olive Garden used to be number one for me but now I don't even consider putting oliv garden in the bottom of my restaurant list. One more thing while we were having a nice dinner "supposedly" we noticed all the wall pictures were gone and the restaurant looked disgusting and unorganized and all that because they were doing renovation. If you are doing renovation in any kind of business you do not open your doors for customers specially when you are a restaurant which requires a beautiful nice clean space. If there was anything less than one star I would choose it because they don't even deserve 1 star rating.

I recently visited the restaurant with my boyfriend and was absolutely disappointed. When we first arrived I was excited to see that they had my favourite seafood Alfredo back for the summer. Everything was going well until our main courses came out. My boyfriend's steak was to be cooked to medium rare but was blue - may as well have left the cow in the pasture, and my seafood was cold. We left very frustrated and felt sick for the rest of the night. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Service, cleanliness and kindness of staff was top notch. The BlackBerry pineapple daiquiris and peach bellini were great. Food was presentable but overwhelmingly underwhelming. Granted, we went in for the all you can eat pasta. Around $23/person, so affordable. What was sad was that I felt obligated to eat enough to make it worth $23 and am now convinced that 5 Smart One microwave dinners from safeway wouldve been both more palatable and price worthy. The meatballs scared me for various reasons, but the texture reminded me of what a dogs canned food would taste like out of the microwave. The chicken was oddly textured too, but similiar in essence to 'real' chicken breasts. The shrimp was medium breaded, but incredibly heavy. Again, a taste like microwaved popcorn shrimp from a discount walmart frozen appetizer section for being too close to it's expiry date. I didn't try the sausage, I was too full and was told it comes in a solid link instead of ground or sliced. I wanted to compare, but too full and turned off from the previous proteins. The first dish was a large bowl. The two consecutive were much smaller portions. I loved everything about the experience otherwise, the food is just bad enough that I dont look forward to going back for several more years at least... and cant imagine what the protein will be made of that far into the future.

We came when it was fairly busy but waited an appropriate amount of time. Service was not only slow but the server made several mistakes. She forgot a salad bowl for the unlimited salad entree and never returned with one as asked. Entrees arrived they made an error on one order which was fixed as we brought it to their attention. Another was disheveled, cold and had a hair in it. My family member chose not to complain and the rest of us finished our meals. After we paid the bill including a not so deserved tip, the sever comes back to tell us she under charged us $34 and points at totals on a bill and charges us for the missed amount. Once we had the chance to look over the bills it turns out we paid the correct amount in the first place. The second bill was for a different table number which included 2 extra guests. She had charged us their total amount and has us pay the difference to total the amount of the larger party. We brought this to the managers attention and did get the difference refunded. Needless to say we won't be going back anytime soon.

Me and my parents got seated as soon as we walked in, we had such an amazing meal. All the food and drinks were full of flavour. Must have been slow there that day, had to wait 15 minutes at 145pm to get a table when we could see at least 12 tables empty. Can't stop the stupidy of the manager, but the waiter, the waitress and another waiter were cheerful and obiliging to serve us over the hour we spent there. Food was good, coffee plentiful, soup should be a least 3/4 full, in my opinion.

Ordered ToGo soup and salad yesterday. It was apparent the salad was made days before. The lettuce was going bad, the color of the onions was bleeding through them, the tomatoes had a funky texture. It did not smell good. These pictures don't show just how bad it was, but I think we all know what an old salad that has sat in the fridge for days looks like. The person who brought the food out also entered in their own tip prior to asking us to tap our card to pay. We realized when we got home that it happened. I don't mind tipping, but I wouldn't have tipped 12+ dollars on a togo order.

I have dined in and ordered from Olive Garden on Reenders a few times in the past and the food and service have always been excellent. What has prompted me to take the time to write this review, however, is what I would say was probably the best service that I have received and witnessed from any food establishment that I can remember. Nikki, who looked after me, is the loveliest server I have had a pleasure of dealing with in a very long time. Not only did she go out of her way to make meaningful recommendations on the basis of my preferences and was kind, courteous and attentive to me all throughout my dining experience, but witnessing her expression of kindness that I have seen her extend to a patron at another table not too far from mine who was having a birthday absolutely lifted my spirits and actually brought tears (of a good kind) to my eyes. Before I left, I made a comment to Nikki’s manager that people like Nikki make this world a better place and that witnessing her kindness has absolutely made my day. The manager expressed with enthusiasm that she is aware of Nikki’s exceptional customer service abilities and that Nikki is involved in training other staff, which makes it evident to me that this manager and the organization recognizes and appreciates talent among their employees. Other than to express my gratitude for the great dining experience, I only wish to add that Nikki displayed an absolute gold standard for service that one might hope to receive in any dining establishment and that she is a tremendous credit to her organization. Thank you, Nikki, you are one of the reasons that I will think of Olive Garden on Reenders as my go to place for dine in and take out in the future. The food was also prompt, well prepared and absolutely delicious as always.

Curb side pick up. Ordered lunch. 2 meals. One was hot and the other meal, ravioli was cold. Said the meal was prepared fresh in their kitchen and best eaten within 2 days. Are you kidding me? I ordered thinking I was getting my food freshly prepared. Instead I was given heating instructions on how to heat it in the microwave for 3 to 4 minutes. All I can say is wow .

Pretty expensive for very average tasting food. Have to admit that unlimited breadsticks, unlimited salad and unlimited pop refills are great. If you are hungry, you can fill up but the price of the entrees makes up for the unlimited fare. There is better and more cost effective true Italian restaurants in Winnipeg.

We tried going here for dinner today, as a family of eight. I understand that we would need to be at two tables due to COVID-19 recommendations. They had the nerve to put four of my children on the opposite side of the restaurant where I couldn’t see them and said that we were not allowed to be any closer than that in there facility. They blame the government for these rules, but there are no such rules. We left without eating, and although this is a regular stop for us to eat, we will be finding a different restaurant to be our “go to”

The food is consistently good (not amazing like you might find in a small mom and pop restaurant, but for a chain it is good). I do find that we often get some servers who are either overwhelmed or inexperienced. Luckily I have been there and understand, but the ball does get dropped occasionally... My friend a ordered large dipping boat of alfredo togo from Reenders drive with other stuff and it was missing an alfredo boat. They didnt even want it to be delivered to her as she was far and asked her if she could pick up some other time. I worked before at olive garden at other location and I know the management there is good. But this restaurant, too rude with customer on phone. Would not order from them ever again.

Would have been 1 star but the food(when it did come out was good). The service was atrocious, they had to comp 2 meals in our party, we were lucky to get drink refills, we waited 50 minutes for our bills because they couldn't figure out who was on what bill. We had one person who paid because she had to leave early and after she pair another server brought her her bill again. It took 4 people to figure out the bill all while the hostest kept coming over complaining that they needed the table. The only reason it took 4 people was because we went to another staff member to ask them to help out our servers after we'd been waiting 30 minutes for the bills. Not once did a manager come over.

It's a little disappointing that when you go to pay the bill it jumps right to giving a 15% tip. I do realize that it is based on the service and you can leave nothing if you wish. But please give me the option.

The Olive Garden has done a great job post-pandemic. All of the servers are wearing masks and the tables are physical distanced from each other. The servers are all friendly and the food is great.

It was pretty busy on the 27th of October and there had been quite a few upset people waiting for food, but you know something the staff did well under pressure and I honestly thought they did a darn good job.

My daughter thought it was very fancy, she enjoyed her meal (and it wasn't Mr Noodles or cereal!) Our conversation was positive and playful. Our server was attentive, thorough and cute. My Rosemary and Roasted Garlic Chicken was super delish and the little donuts are NOT to pass up
