Total ripoff Could not believe this place. We went for the all you can eat ribs on Monday night, and boy were they the worst ribs I've ever had! The barbecue sauce seemed to be worse than great values brand, the meat was so tough you could barley pull it off the bone, fat covered over 80% of the ribs, and the vegetables were bland and oversteamed. For $30 I expected at least something good, but I was wrong. Never going back.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner tonight and first off, we ordered appetizers and then our main meals. Our appetizers and meals came at the same time and they were cold. Also, my boyfriend went to take a bite of his poutine and there was a really big piece of thick glass in his poutine under the gravy and cheese. Extremely unimpressed. Never coming here again.

A Kenora staple for sure! They have great food and some Log Cabin classics that I know people have been going for, for years. Wing nigh is my favourite in particular! The staff is always very friendly and they do everything they can to make your experience a good one. Also a great place to reserve for parties, especially during patio season!

Service and food speed: very good. Food taste: sub par. Pretty sure the sauce on my not-very-fall-aparty and dry ribs was 40% tomato paste 40% vinegar 20% I dunno, ketchup? By far the least-delicious ribs I've had.

Rating is as high as it is due to the delicious food. Prime rib beef dip with provolone and home cut fries was so good; DH was very happy with his chicken and ribs, taste and generous portion size. Highly recommend the food; do not recommend the "ambiance". I've been in a McDonald's play area that was full of noisy, excited children and found it quieter than the noise level in this restaurant and it wasn't even filled to capacity. My husband and I were sitting across from each other and we had to yell to try and carry on a coversation; neither of us has hearing problems. Do yourself a favour and get your food to go. Would not recommend eating in.

The Log Cabin Tavern serves the best beef sandwiches and fries for lunch. On the occasions we've been there for dinner the service has been excellent, prices have been reasonable and the decor comfortable and clean.

My parents took us for supper. We were surprised there was no drink menu so had to ask for pricing on wine, beer, spirits etc. The food was good but we found it quite loud even though it was only half full.

We drove from Regina to Kenora and settled we were having takeout from Log Cabin. We had spinach salad with vegen tenders and veggie burger also steak sandwich and ceasar salad with chicken wings. They were so friendly and were great with all of our modifications! Would highly recommend!!

This was our go to place when me and my partner went to Kenora on holiday. We first went and had lunch and played mini golf on our second day there. The caesars there were the best in town right along with the steak sandwich. Brilliant. My partner had the burger and caesar salad and I am told that was the best salad he's ever tasted. So bacon-y! We went back later that night for more caesars and dessert, we just couldn't stay away. On our last night we went back for a supper and again, were not disappointed. I had the Philly with chicken and he had the recommended, honey dill wrap. Both left us satisfied and full. The staff was always welcoming and friendly. I must say I miss this place the most of all the restaurants. We will most definitely be back and am looking very forward to it. I strongly recommend you try this place out if you are going through town and have never tried. Can't wait to see you all again. Will be back for sure. Thanks for the generosity.

My wife, daughter, and I visited here September 5th 2021. I ordered the veggie burger and garden salad, my wife got a quesadilla, and my daughter got the kids menu pizza and cesar salad. We could not eat inside. Not for COVID-related reasons, but because the tables in the restaurant were all reserved, so we opted for takeout instead. The veggie burger patty was black bean based. I love black bean burgers as generally speaking they have a nice strong spicy flavour. This black bean burger managed to be quite flavorless. The sauce that they put on the burger, presumably to add flavour, was miniscule. It was such a small amount that I had to search for it to make sure they didn't forget to put it on. Due to all of this such the burger as a whole had little flavour to such an extent that I was surprised. My wife's quesadilla was soggy and falling apart, and the usual condiments for quesadillas (salsa, sour cream) were not provided. The quesadilla was cut into rectangles strips rather than the usual triangle shape that one would expect, which when combined with the soggy nature of the quesadilla made it impossible to keep the ingredients inside of the tortilla, so my wife's experience was essentially a taco salad with soggy tortillas, and no sauce. My daughter didn't have any complaints about her pizza and cesar salad, but she's two years old so it's tough to get a good sense of what her experience was like. Generally speaking, our experience with the food was bad, but I am willing to admit that perhaps we didn't order things on the menu that the restaurant was "good at making". In other words, someone might not want to eat here if it's to eat the particular things that my family and I ate, but perhaps other items on their menu are much better.

Wednesday is " Wings night" at the Log. The restaurant is open to half capacity during to the pandemic ( Aug 5, 2020) and has three different choices for seating, inside; in a large screened porch; and the outside patio. Plenty of parking with an overflow lot up on the hill behind. We ordered a variety of beverages which were served promptly. The meal was delicious, with appies which came out hot and a variety of wings. The wings were cooked but weren't piping hot, although they were spicy and flavorful. (Hence the 4 stars - there is room for improvement). The other entrees were hot and were tasty. The staff were very pleasant and efficient serving and tidying the tables. I would personally recommend the Log Cabin for meals as always.

We were so excited to be able to go back to the Log Cabin Tavern. Understood that we would be eating in the screen patio. As that is what they told us when my husband made the reservations Instead, we were seated outside. It wasn't too bad, had some mosquito action.We sat down, server told us we would get our cutlery. Which was ok. Another server came by, took our drink order. Pretty simple, waters for the 3 of us. Came by quick enough, took our order, which was a small salad, and 2 orders of wings and 3 other appys. Were told again that we would get napkins and cutlery etc. Our 2 orders of wings came out and the mushrooms. This time we asked for cutlery and napkins and plates. Waited for 5 minutes and got nothing. Others around us were getting their food and drinks and cutlery. We started eating before this food got cold. We threw the bones on the table, finished everything. Waitress came by and said sorry, I put a rush on your other food. What? Why bother at this point. It all should have come out at once. Still didn't get cutlery or napkins.....at that point we just told her to charge us for the food we ate and forget the rest. Will not be back. It has always been hit and miss there for us and that's it. We will not be back. We are done. If I could give this a negative star, I would. So disappointed.

Very disappointed with Log Cabin. Cannot comment on menu, ambiance or service because we never got there. Made reservations for supper which were politely taken. Called in to let them know we were on the highway and were going to be 15 minutes late. Again cheerfully understood and acknowledged. And then just as we are approaching the restaurant after traveling close to an hour from Sioux Narrows area, we receive a call that says they must cancel our reservation for 6 or delay it by an hour and a half due to an error made at the desk. Although very frustrating for our party, mistakes happen. But very little apology, no offer of some recompense - just nothing. Thank you Boat House for finding us a table, and delicious food at the last minute!

Went in on Wednesday Wing Night, my servers were all friendly despite the place being packed. My food was hot and the wings were delicious (you get the whole wing!) The restaurant uses paper straws which was much to my delight!

We reserved the patio room yesterday for an engagement party for 40 people. The event was absolutely perfect! The buffet food was excellent; battered pickerel, pre-made beef dips, potato wedges, Cornerstone salad, coleslaw, chicken wings, and a selection of desserts. Our server, Montana, was fantastic! She anticipated and attended to all of our needs in a very efficient and professional manner. Highly recommended - We will be back!
