Really good food! I got the vegan ragu, which was surprisingly delicious and hearty. The portions are quite large compared to what I have gotten from other restaurants of similar quality, so definitely come with an empty stomach! I would recommend getting some of their cheese selections; we ordered the black truffle gouda and it was amazing! So it's a nice way to try different cheese, especially from local producers!

All I can say is the server was amazing. He was so attentive to our table and my many allergies. The chef even was able to take some of the beef tartare and make it without egg. I was so surprised because I never asked for it but they were so kind to separate and plate it just for me. The food was also very delicious! Definitely will come back purely on how awesome the service was.

Small list of dishes, yet each of the four plates we tried a gem. The tempura prawns were outstanding as were the salmon with smashed potatoes (daily special), the sirloin with mashed potatoes and elk tartare. Very good selection of local and foreign wines.

I came to this restaurant with some friend's for the dine around the Okanagan event. We ordered a pre set menu - appetizer, main and dessert. This was probably some of the best food I've ever eaten and I have been around the world. I will definitely be going back with my family when the weather warms up. The service was great and the head chef/owner even came out to our table to see how we enjoyed everything. Can't wait to experience this place again.

Waterfront wines is always a treat, only been here a couple times though because they don't allow children and it's been a bit hard to get out for the last year. Be prepared to spend a bit more, the 3 course meal was $55 per person, definitely worth it though, my wife and I were both very impressed with our meals.

had a great meal but was absolutely heartbroken to find out that this restaurant doesn’t honor medical exemptions for masks…what’s worse is i had to put a mask on my face for 1.5 seconds from the front door to my table…even worse the server didn’t acknowledge how archaic this was, i believe her name was geniveive. we’ve clearly entered the twilight zone with masks at restaurants and it’s incredibly sad food was 7/10

Ambience was great. Server was top notch. Food, was good, but more of a standard flare. The sable fish was the highlight for us. Perfectly cooked. Overall, it was a fine experience.

This is my favourite restaurant in the Kelowna area (aside from the occasional custom menu at certain wine resorts). The service standards here are excellent. Well informed, knowledgable, and intuitive. The food is also exceptional, not only for the Kelowna area, but in Western Canada. Some dishes more than others. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're a "foody". Great cocktails and wines as well.

Foods were great, with the same quality in Vancouver, the menu could have been easily +$10. The hostess could have been nicer. Made reservation but refused to let us sit in the empty table inside that was never occupied for the rest of the night. Only gave us patio seat

Incredible! We had a wonderful experience. The service and the food were top notch. The seafood was a highlight - their scallops were huge and cooked to perfection. Arctic char and halibut were amazing. I have nothing but great things to say.

Great location, great food and great service! My wife had the seared scallops, house smoked chorizo and risotto. She loved it! I had the trout, gnocchi, vegetables, and hollandaise sauce, amazing! Our server/bartender was great and efficient with his drink creations. Great wine selection, almost all local. So couple of local craft beers, which was nice. Try the Talisker Storm scotch, a bargain of $15 an ounce! Lemon cheesecake with verbena ice cream for dessert was beautifully subtle.

Heard lots about this restaurant and finally had the chance to give it a try this last weekend I was in the area. Must say - they definitely lived up to my lofty expectations. Great service, solid bar menu, and the food was on point every step of the way. The rack of pork and the steel head trout were stand outs! Will definitely be back.

Just enjoyed takeout from their Dine Around Thompson Okanagan menu. The Ajitsuke sablefish filet with Salt Spring Island mussels is divine. The soy and ginger sauce expertly finished this flavourful plate. I love to support locally owned restaurants and this one is at the top of my favourites list.

My family and I take great enjoyment in good food. From Calgary to Vancouver, to many various destinations around the Okanagan we thoroughly enjoying exploring the culinary excellence these regions have to offer. That being said, Waterfront Wines Restaurant is bar none, by far, the single most excellent dining establishment I and any member of my family has ever had the privilege to eat at. The level of service is second to none. Shane, Char, and team provide an absolutely phenomenal dining atmosphere that makes us feel both at home whilst also the most important people in the restaurant. Their care and attention to detail is unparalleled and allows for an exquisite experience from the moment you walk in the door. The sheer thought, care, and quality of food of every dish that exits the kitchen is flabbergasting. Every time I have been there has been the best meal of my entire life. I again want to stress that from a family of foodies I feel I have a good grasp on what constitutes a great meal, and Waterfront Wines Restaurant and team blows my expectations out of the water each and every visit. The ingenuity of flavour and enjoyability of the dishes they offer cannot be matched. James, Mark and the rest of the skilled kitchen team offers a level of culinary perfection that keeps us coming back time and time again for birthdays, anniversaries, and any possible excuse we can think of to get ourselves in the door. If you are looking for the easily the best dinner in Kelowna, almost certainly the best dinner in BC, and very likely the best dinner in western Canada, look no further. Waterfront Wines Restaurant is the place for you. Honestly if you have the option to come here and you choose anywhere else you are doing yourself a grave disservice. I look forward to the many occasions to come where I will find myself in this restaurant. I will continue to provide glowing recommendations for this restaurant to anyone who will listen and I hope that if you took the time to read this review it has convinced you that this should be your obvious choice for any dining occasion.

A perfect place to gather with friends. Great food, service, wine selection and located in Downtown Kelowna. The chefs are always ready to accommodate dietary needs. Highly recommend.

The food here was excellent. We had the peppercorn flat iron steak, the wagu and Pierogies were all amazing. The service was really good! We also really liked the atmosphere and the decor the restaurant has. We will definitely come back again!

"great balance on salts and sugars as well" I find food can be is over season and over rated at a lot of restaurants... This this not the case for Waterfront Wines in my experience. Had an Amazing Fun Time! Loved the service!

Parking can be a challenge in this area, allow extra time and avoid being late for your reservation. Reservations are almost a must for this restaurant. Decor is simple, yet inviting. Room temperature was pleasant, you can remove your jacket to eat. Does not appear to have a dress code and staff will check your coat and umbrella for you. Kitchen, with professional looking kitchen staff, is open and visible from many seating locations in the dining area. Our server was well informed and provided many details about the meals and wines offered on the menu. There was one expressionless employee moving about the room. Don't know if she's a server or a host or ? All four guests in our party definitely enjoyed the entire cuisine. Flat Iron Steak was enjoyed by two in our party, and is apparently a long standing item on the menu. Ling Cod was above acceptable and was not over cooked. The soup stole the show, absolutely amazing. - Kitchen caters well to guests with allergies. - Allow 2 hours for your visit. - No mandatory tip/gratuity added to your bill. - 1 bottle of wine, 2 beers, 4 appetizers and 4 entrees. $275 + $50 tip totals $325 for a wonderful meal with above average service.

Love love love this little restaurant in Kelowna. We haven't make the reservation and just walking in so we need to sit on the bar table. Fortunately we got a good server (believe he is a bar tender). He gives us very good services even though we haven't order any wine at all. We have a very nice dinner there. Oh, need to mention their washroom is so clean.

Booked an anniversary dinner here and unfortunately didn't have the best experience. The hostess was not very friendly, and our server messed up my husbands Wagyu steak order. To fix it they just took it back and re cooked the same piece of meat for longer. My meal was great, but he was left sitting there watching me eat when it was supposed to be a romantic evening. I understand mistakes happen and I hate to compare to a chain restaurant, but if this was Cactus, his meal would have been comped or at least a discount or free drink or something would have been given to maybe make up for it. There was no such thing and also Zero mention of our anniversary which I had included in the reservation notes. Disappointing because this was the location of our first date and we have loved coming here before, but not sure we'll be back.

What a great meal that was! My wife and I couldn't decide on which starters to get as they all looked so good. So we decided on getting the charcuterie board (with some added cheese), potted foie gras, Wagyu tartare, and risotto with scallops for dinner. Everything was fantastic! The amount of food on the board was very generous and it all tasted great! The foie gras was very decadent! The tartare and risotto... YUM! Our server, Jill, was super friendly and very helpful in making suggestions. Overall, we thought Waterfront was just phenomenal and we look forward to coming back soon!

My Gf took me here for my birthday. We had a great experience. Server was welcoming and knowledgeable. Food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. It wasn't too busy when we were there and the atmosphere was great. I'd recommend this place to others.

Waterfront Wines doesn’t disappoint in terms of food quality and wine selection. Unfortunately our server, Ishwin, was completely absent for the duration of our main course after taking the better part of an hour after arriving to bring out our salad. Other servers took note and picked up the slack. When we commented that he had been MIA for a long time, he gave a flimsy excuse that his “other table asked a complicated question” (as if that should impact our experience or warrants us having to pour our own wine). We will definitely plan to be back, but not as long as Ishwin works there!

Tried booking a table here and the person on the phone was extremely rude, condescending and arrogant. Did not sound like she wanted our business and did not try to accommodate. I really hope management reconsiders who they hire to represent their business.

The reviews of this place are excellent but I’m hard pressed to find why. The food was mediocre at best and service is a huge question mark. We didn’t have a dedicated server to our table, we had multiple servers pop in throughout the night that clearly didn’t talk to each other. We ordered a bottle of wine and were trying to enjoy a nice night but the speed of which things were coming out indicated the staff wanted us out as soon as possible. When we finished dinner, despite having a bottle of wine 75% full, we were asked if we wanted dessert or the bill, which is a commentary on the upscale atmosphere this place is failing to cater to. Once we finished our mains, our waiter came back approximately zero times before we had to ask for a cheque. The food was not up to par (the halibut was so heavily salted) for the price tag, and I would not recommend it to anyone visiting Kelowna. Also the wine we ordered, granted it’s not this restaurants fault, tasted like cider.

Had a phenomenal dining experience at Waterfront Wines for my birthday!! We ordered a charcuterie board, apricot salad, wagyu tartare, risotto with seared scallops, and roasted duck breast and crispy confit thigh. Everything was beautifully presented and the food was delectable. Looking forward to visiting Kelowna and dining here again!
