I’ve been here two times, service is always good, but my favorite seafood chowder’s taste has changed since they changed chef last year, kinda disappointed, besides that, it’s quite good. Strongly recommend their oysters and snails!!! And desserts

Awesome food, authentic, cant wait to go back

Impressed with the service. But, food was really expensive. Can accomodate alterations within a dish based on your choice.

Was in for dinner yesterday and was a great meal. They were graciously able to get me in as I booked for a 5pm seating at about 4:55pm! Ordered the starter of the day and fish. Escargot was cooked perfectly in a wonderful sauce and halibut hit the spot, crispy skin and perfectly flakey. Had the French Martini and it was great. Was surprised that the meal even ended with dessert which was a chocolate mousse. Great value considering the quality. Service was excellent and unpretentious. Just moved in across the street and already looking forward to the next dinner!

Escargot with edible pastry shells, a very interesting and tasty take. Surf and turf was divine, great scallops and prawns as well. A supreme dining experience with awesome service. Would definitely visit again when we return to Kelowna.

An amazing experience, the food was so full of flavour, reminded me of my many visits to France. Highly recommend their French Onion Soup.

This is a fantastic done in restaurant serving french cuisine in Kelowna. It is just outside of the downtown core. They have a vast selection of wines. We went on a Monday to celebrate the girlfriends birthday. We both ordered the menu of the day. She had veal, and I had the rock fish. Both were delicious, and the chocolate tart was decadent. The choices of water from tap, flat, and sparkling was a nice touch of Europe. The staff were amazing, and our reservation was confirmed within 24 hours. A must try if you are looking for fine dining in Kelowna. Will be back

Damian Herman

One of the few restaurants in Kelowna with truly fantastic food and a proper fine dining experience. We will definitely be coming back here again!

Best meal in Kelowna (Vernon resident). Also, closest I have felt to truly being in France in a very long time.

Wonderful rich traditional French cuisine served with awe inspiring service. Don't mission the daily "chef's menu" which includes appetizer, main dish, and dessert for $49. I loved my meal, but the menu doesn't offer any dishes for the less adventurous so my kids weren't as happy - definitely this restaurant is suited to adult crowds with sophisticated tastes and wallets to back it up.

Wonderful French restaurant, the best in town. Modern, elegant and not pretentious. The food was great, the service we top notch and thought the hors d'oeuvre were specular. Very solid drink, wine and dessert selection. Went just after their covid19 reopening and they did a fantastic job. Look forward to going back!

Beautiful cozy bistro. Service was excellent and friendly. All the dishes where delectable. Fantastic selection of wines and the professional staff where excellent at making wine pairings.

This is an exceptional French restaurant. After visiting France over fifteen times and living in Paris for over six months, this restaurant certainly stands up to a similar standard found in Europe. The food is delicious, the service is knowledgable, and the setting is nice. I especially appreciate a combo visit to this restaurant and Waterfront Wines next door. Dining at both in one evening is a great way to spend a Friday night. Highly recommended.

Myself and my partner ate here over the weekend. The food is authentic and so is the staff. Very nice customer care and service. The food is good.

Went here for my birthday with my wife and the food and service were amazing. We will be back for sure. See you soon!

Charming and authentic. The ambiance, cuisine and service was impeccable. Every dish was delicious and created a truly French, gastronomic experience. Thank you to the owners for providing such a high quality restaurant in Kelowna.

Excellent French restaurant.... went with family who raves about this place, they had been their 20yrs ago, and they still love it! …

Tartare is one of my favorite foods and tartar here was great. Must try

This restaurant has an impressive reputation for high quality French cuisine and service, but I was honestly extremely disappointed in both the food and service, particularly for the price point. We arrived for the first seating at 5 p.m. …

We had doubts coming here with the mixed reviews but still ended up dining in here. I’ve had my fair share of great French food in Paris and this restaurant failed to deliver for the $$$ price tag that they charge. We ordered the escargot, rack of lamb, bouillabaisse special and the duck leg special. We all tasted each other’s dishes and: 1. The escargot is a hard no. The “pastry shell” is a thin oily mess 2. Just a note that bread with butter is not free 3. The rack of lamb flavour was probably my favourite out of the 3. However, the cook is supposedly “medium rare” but the actual meat ranges from well done to very rare in the center depending on which rib you cut (although tender). My suspicion is that the lamb is cooked from frozen. The scalloped potatos were undercooked and flavourless. 4. The sausage that comes with the duck leg was the worst sausage I’ve ever had (very bland) and the whole duck leg dish was flavourless and underwhelming. We needed to ask for salt….. 5. The bouillabaisse broth was okay, although just tastes like seafood broth and has no complexity. And the seafood did not taste fresh. The fish chunks inside were very dry like over boiled salmon. Maybe for $20 a dish it could be justifiable. But for $40-50 a dish it’s definitely not worth it and a pass for us. P.S. service is also questionable as our waitress (although nice) didn’t seem very experienced.

Our favourite French restaurant outside of France! Never disappoints. Service is top notch and food is always delicious. Menu options make it difficult to choose, especially with the seasonal specials. To add to the exceptional quality, ladies room offers high-quality bidet options when using their facilities. Pampered in every way!

Lovely French bistro with a classical French menu. Good cocktails and an extensive wine list comprised of many old world wines (a refreshing change), along with local Okanagan selections. Service was impeccable. Even after several courses and despite being stuffed, we were given complimentary canelés to finish off our meal (they are amazing baked French desserts). Nice for a date night. Will go back at some point.

A couple things on this spot, menu is limited and they do charge for bread which seems a bit odd. I ordered the crevettes et nix de Saint Jacques which was flavorful. Feedback on the fish and steak that was also ordered was that it was OK.

We hadn't been since virus :( The sable fish was devine! Sad to see that the Table d'eau (?) was not available. The experience wasn't there (due to virus). No complementary fries & bread.

Tia Janacek

Authentic French cuisine. Great service, beautiful wine list. And the food, oh man the food. Soooooo good.

Very disappointed is the word we would use to describe Bouchons. The food was over-priced, mediocre, and bland; nothing to write home about. We could not believe the restaurant charged for bread; this is just plain nickel-and-diming. The restaurant was very warm and uncomfortable. The waiter failed to check in with us after we received our food and forgot to bring our water. I asked for fleur de sel and the waiter brought some other salt. How can a French restaurant not have fleur de sel? The restaurant failed to deliver in every way. The bill for the two of us not including alcohol was $185.00. There are a lot of other restaurants where the food, service, and prices are much better. Save your money and go elsewhere. We do not know how they got a 4.5 star review! This was our first and last time going to Bouchons.

French bistro located north of Waterfront Park. Patio available. Excellent steamed mussels. Free street parking. Walkable distance from Kelowna Downtown.

Nicholas Wilson

Fantastic, elegant food and service. Obvious, uncommon focus on French cuisine, and always professional, spot-on service. Fantastic food, solid wine list, and a local fave. Highly recommended.

Vanessa

Surely one of the best dining experiences I've had in a while. I came in late (9pm during covid times). Everyone was so accommodating. The seared fois gras was perfect with the sweetness of the apple. The fish was perfectly cooked flakey yet moist. Thank you to Stephan, Joffrey and Beatrice for an incredible evening. I will definitely return with guests ????

This was my favourite restaurant when we used to live in Kelowna. I haven’t visited Bouchons in close to a decade. Stoped in for a cocktail this evening. The Vesper was perfect. I accidentally ordered Steak Tartare and a Petales d'Osoyoos-Larose Meritage 2014. Both were superb. I finished the evening with an espresso and a Soufflé au Grande-Mariner. Delicious. Bouchons Bistro is at least as good as I remembered. Update. I just visited Bouchons again (June 2020). Service was still excellent. I repeated the first meal I ever had there over a decade ago... Classic Steak Tartare. Still excellently prepared.

We were working on our relationship tonight and it was a nice location ????

Oh wow, I have no words… Lovely location. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. And the food..? Just wow! Be sure to make a reservation (and confirm it via email). Definitely a must when in Kelowna!

My wife and I brought my in-laws here from out of town. Great food, everything was cooked perfectly. Our server was kind, professional and attentive. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return in the future.

Very traditional French cuisine. Love everything about this place. Service was exceptional

Dined for the first time at Bouchons Bistro for our wedding anniversary. French cuisine is a favourite, and per our anniversary, the dinner was a bit nostalgic since we dined at a French restaurant on our honeymoon years ago. The food was good, no argument there, but none of the dishes were so good that they stood above previous French cuisine meals, or similar dishes served at other restaurants. We started by sharing the charcuterie and cheese platters between 4 of us dining. I also had the foie gras, and another had the onion soup. All very tasty. A couple of us also had a cocktail, followed by a glass of wine. I then had the cassoulet, my wife had the scallops & shrimp, another member of our party had the rabbit, and the last had the lamb. We then shared the dessert platter, although one of us went for her own creme brulee. All of that cost about $90 per diner before tip. I will go back to try a few other dishes and beverages on their menu, and hopefully to try some of their fondues, offered on Tuesdays. Note: The adjacent city of Kelowna public parking lot is free after 5 pm in the fall through spring. For summer/tourist season, it is pay parking until 9 pm.

Excellent food and great service. A true French dining experience. Très bon!

Best service ive had in kelowna. Server gave great wine pairing options. Our meals were delicious.

Excellent service, excellent food!! Escargots were good , french onion soup was amazing, very flavourful, not too salty, seafood salad was amazing, plenty of squid prawn and baby scallops, very fresh, great taste! seared tartare was amazing, the slight sear makes it even better! The halibut was cooked well too!! Great place! Seems very authentic, if you're into french foods, Bouchon is the place!

Stephe Tal

Really good food with great wine! The service was really nice. Would definitely come back!

Sue Cell

Two stars only because my diner guest was the better part of the night. Bouchons is not what it used to be, so over priced now for the quality, my boulibaise is much better at a fraction of the price, and I'm by no means close to being a chef. Sorry disappointed, won't be back.

Roberto Martinez

Chic place. Fancy location great food .

Russell OYE

Great service friendly and nice atmosphere.

Food was amazing! Service was ok. Our waitress was overwhelmed. She was running around a lot, but never forgot a thing. She was amazing, just a bit slow to get back to our table. Would've rated 5/5 if the service was better. Hire more staff on a busy Saturday night! Great date night!

Diane Oye

Amazing food and the service was the best! Our waitress was very attentive. Bouchons is lovely and quaint. Highly recommend experiencing this gem!

Thomas Tricarico

A Fantastic dinner out...Such a delight. Great service by our server Nicole. She was so attentive, informative about the specials for the evening, which I indulged in, being the fresh oysters from PEI. We enjoyed a bottle of French Gewurztraminer Pfaff, then escargots, scallops and prawns ending with their assiette cheese plate and port taster to cap off the evening. A splendid and most enjoyable evening. Kudos to the chef and Nicole for the great evening. Salute

We recently went to Bouchons Bistro to celebrate a birthday and were so delighted with everything the restaurant had to offer . Genuinely French ! The food was delicious and the service was very attentive without being overdone . Friendly and welcoming from start to finish . A very enjoyable experience . Merci Bouchons !

Bouchons hosted myself and a few of my senior students to a beautiful cultural learning experience. Thank you so much for being such outstanding community members. The food samples were exquisite, the knowledge of food and culture second to none! I encourage everyone to try this amazing gem!

A slice of Paris in the Okanagan. Classic dish’s and executed superbly. Best French cuisine I have had in BC. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants fine dining.

Bob Longva

Very good food and great service

What an absolutely AMAZING French experience right in the heart of Kelowna! We went in for the Fondue (I've always heard amazing things about it) and ended up trying out quite a few different dishes. To be honest we loved ALL of them! The fondue was not only the best fondue I've probably ever had, but it made for a great social eating experience with our guests. I could say that the wine list was good but that would be a huge understatement. They have wines to fit every preference imaginable. I do have to say that the best part of the experience was the service. We had this cute little French girl who was actually also a Sommelier serving us. She was personable, knowledgable (she knew more about what kind of wine I'd like than I did) and friendly. I kind of wish she could have sat down to hang out with us! Over all I really recommend this place for a little taste of France. Everything from the food, to the wine, to the atmosphere, to the service was exquisite. Well done guys!

Susan Blackmere

Wonderful friendly staff, delicious food prepared perfectly with excellent presentations and great overall service. The best French cuisine outside of Paris. It was an amazingly awesome find as we were vacationing in Kelowna from Ontario. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves Fine French Dining.

excellent food, quality, but menu is kinda limited. i really love the quality of produce and would go there again

We’ve been to this restaurant three times. The food, atmosphere and drinks we always fantastic. However, our last two visits the service has been terrible. The young gentleman serving us was rude, couldn’t or wouldn’t carry on a conversation and basically ignored us. We gave him the benefit of the doubt the first time but this second time was enough. We won’t be back until we can be guaranteed he’s at least not there. We tried everything to have a conversation, even speaking French to him but nothing worked. Our French Canadian accent may not meet his standards coming from France but that’s no excuse. Very unfortunate.
