This was actually not our first or second choice to have lunch but the others were either not open (on a Tuesday after Labour Day) or wasn't appealing. We parked the vehicle and asked a local standing out front if this restaurant was any good. He assured us it was so in we went. The waitress greeted us right away and pushed another table together to seat the 7 of us. We were the only table seated when we arrived but by the time we left there were a few more tables filled up. The grilled cheese was a great suggestion from the waitress! I was deciding between that and the Monte Cristo. I'm sure the Monte Cristo would've been good but I was very happy with my decision to go with the grilled cheese. Bacon and melty cheese with friends, yum. Seeing fried cheesecake on the chalkboard on the wall was enough for us to order it to try. The shape was different from how I imagined it to be but once you took a bite it was the same as having cheesecake but warmed up.

Greatly improved ambiance and physical structure. Enjoyed seeing Leslie again after almost two years, and our server was perfect. Appetizer and salad excellent, though boneless wings were clearly overdone (both the barbequed and the dry cajun). More than willing to give Lorraine & fille another chance, as this lovely spot has just reopened.

The Cow and Sow is a beloved gem in Fenelon Falls with a fun atmosphere, amazing food and drinks, and wonderful owners and staff that truly care about their customers and the community they live in. Though they are currently closed for some exciting renovations, anticipation is building as their Spring 2021 re-opening approaches. I can't wait to check out their new look and stop by for a meal with friends next time I'm in the area!

This place may not look all that much from the outside, but the food is *amazing*. Best half rack ribs I ever had. Portions are huge, prices are very reasonable and service is excellent. Happened to find this place by chance on a long drive, will definitely stop by again if driving through.

I’ve come to the Cow and Sow lots before. I drove 2 hours to my parent’s house to go out for dinner. We saw that they were open until 10, so we drove 20 minutes to the restaurant. As SOON as we walked into the restaurant, the waitress was rude and even annoyed by our presence. We overheard her complaining to a customer sitting at the bar saying, “you’ve got to be kidding me”. She then comes over and pretty much throws the menus on the table. My dad asked what time they closed at, and she rudely said, “Um very soon. Ten o’clock.” IT WAS 8:00 WHEN WE ASKED THIS. She then told us they were “out of food” so they only had fried food. Asked us for drinks but we weren’t ready yet, so she walked away without saying anything. We ended up deciding to drive another 20 mins to go to Lindsay. I am a waitress at 2 corporate/franchise restaurants, and this behaviour would most definitely NOT be tolerated where I work. I could not even begin to imagine the consequences I would face from treating guests the way she did. I can happily say I will never be back :)))) (Monday, February 18th.)

Falls burger: amazing, love the attention to detail- the bacon was perfectly crispy and the toppings all fresh. I often worry about buying burgers at restaurants because they're easy enough to cook at home, but this is an exceptional burger for sure. Red pepper + spinach soup: life affirming, although a bit pricey. It made my whole week better. Lumberjacks: ehhh... I expected the garlic to kick me in the mouth but it was actually very mild and the potatoes could have been seasoned more. Good potential but honestly I didn't finish them. The renovations: who actually thought it was a good idea to put in so many TVs? Does a saloon need wall-to-wall televisions? On every wall? Terrible atmosphere, reminds me of the electronic section in walmart more than a local eatery.

We had a great time. The staff is warm and friendly, the variety was great, the portions were huge!! We enjoyed the quesadillas, pizzas, poutine and the desserts. And of course, Downtown, where it is located is a cute place. Be prepared to only pay in cash though.

Been here a couple times and haven't been disappointed. Last week I was up visiting my father so my friend and I went here for a snack and some drinks. Drinks were great, appetizers we're really good. The mozzarella sticks were great, thick and flavourful. Service was good, only thing is instead of being greeted we had to ask "if we just sit down somewhere" when we walked in. Aside from that, service was very quick, friendly and helpful, even allowing us to move to the patio outside

Amazing. For a place that opened just a few weeks ago, it was firing on almost all cylinders. Fish had too thick a batter and should have had local craft brews on tap. But overall, our 3 meals were delicious, the staff were fast and friendly, and the ambience was nice. Well done!

$8 for a draft and the waitress wanted to watch the blue jays instead of what I, the customer requested, so she just changed the channel and then got snarkey about it. Won't be back...ever! Also, no tip.

This was once a good establishment but has gone downhill since it switched owners. They lied to the people who made the Cow what it is and talk badly of those same people, behind their backs. The new owners claim that the Cow n Sow was their favorite spot and why they wanted to buy it, so why trash everyone who made it what it is and act like they made it what it is themselves? On the surface they will seem nice but don't be fooled. They are only interested in their own image and how they look. They have no idea how to run a business or how to treat people. They only know lies and cheating. There are other options while in Fenelon Falls and I recommend anywhere but here.

The Reno is awesome they have done a great job updating a very worn out location. We had the limited menu and the food was very average. Hoping for bigger things when the full menu is released. I hope they don’t forget what made the old sow such a desired place to eat. Great Ribs, wings, panzo’s were their staple.

Randomly stopped in here for lunch. The best decision I made. The environment was great, the service was great and very personal, and the food was great as well. We got the mozzarella cheese app....omg I'm still thinking about it. It's made in house and it's bigger than what you get anywhere else. They gave six big pieces. Then we got the special of the day which was prosciutto flatbread and fish and chips. We had no idea on how big it was. We ate the flatbread there and brought the fish and chips for dinner. The fish was huge and never seen someone serve that size. Overall super happy with this place and will definitely recommend.

I ordered three pounds of wings one beer and a ginger ale and sent one and a half of them back being tough and dry ( took out the third for the old man) and still spent $51. I will say that they are the only place open past nine!

Right on main road as you head north through Fenelon Falls. Small inside but we have never had trouble getting seating. I would describe it as rustic but in a good way. A really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. Good bar style food. Burgers, wraps, wings etc. Reasonable sized portions and prices. Two can eat for $30 - $40. Lots of free street parking. There is a small bar area and street patio but we haven't used them. Service is quick but not rushed. Worth a visit if you're in town looking for a decent place to eat that won't empty your wallet.

I wanted to leave a new review because of the change in ownership. The restaurant has improved immensely since the new owners have taken over. Servers were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant looks very inviting in side and is a great place to have a beer and chat with friends. I had the fish and chips what was very filling I only was able to eat the one piece and I was stuffed. Really happy to see the quality and care improve so much.

The waitress was very friendly but the food was terrible. My wife ordered a hambuger on a gluten free bun without tomatoes and I ordered chicken wings. The hamburger came with tomatoes and gluten free bun was so hard that it was not eatable and my wife just ate the paddy. The waitress said that the bun was hard because they were frozen before ! The wings were overcooked and very dry. No offer of recompense was made. All in all a most dissapointing dining experience.

Without a doubt the worst food & service I have experienced in the last 6 months. We went there today on a Tuesday afternoon so there was us & 1 other table & 1 waitress. Our cokes were flat & warm. We told the server & asked if they had bottled water. They don't. It's tap. Our glasses smelled like bleach & the water was metallic tasting. I ordered the "pork schnitzel" & my wife ordered a burger with poutine. It took 30 minutes for our order to come. They didn't bring her poutine & her bun was cold and the burger was really undercooked. As for my order. The rock, hard crispy piece of meat was SLATHERED!!! in either Ragu or Prego Marinara sauce. We asked for the cheque & left. They charged us for the warm, flat cokes.
